Flight 93 remembered.

The cockpit recording from United Flight 93 was released yesterday. David Corn: “All of us who work on Capitol Hill — in the Capitol or not — owe these passengers our profound gratitude. Having heard about the attacks in New York, they decided to take action. They probably realized that the lives were already lost, but they would go out fighting — to save others .”

Why is it that the right leaning sites think that flight 93 adds credence to their views and takes away from ours? I don’t get it beyond bloated self ego masturbation.

However the transcript just seems fishy to me….

“Unintelligible” and “Allah is the greatest” is about it….

Who wrote it Cheney or Rumsfeld the RNC…

I would be interested in hearing it but the US has a poilicy of not releasing audio version for the sake of the families…..

Its sad that you cant even trust this current adminstration to handle this in a truthful manner so I have my doubts….

It all has had an impact.

No one has tried to hijack a plane in the US since. I don’t think it’s undercover air marshalls who stop people from trying. i think it’s cause they know the passengers would kill them. Literally tear them limb from limb. A hijacking isn’t a free trip to Cuba anymore. We all know that & we will all act on those lines if it ever happened to us.

Anyone who thinks incompetence is to blame should do ten seconds of research regarding Cheney and NORAD. Essentially, Cheney took over control of the institution 3 months before 9/11 and then return it to the proper generals shortly after 9/11. Strange? And Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta testified that he was with Cheney on 9/11 and that Cheney was tracking flight 77 from as far as 50 miles out from the Pentagon. Andrews Air Force base is 15 miles from the Pentagon, but no fighters were launched to intercept Flight 77.

How obvious does it have to be? Now google The PROJECT FOR A NEW AMERICAN CENTURY and see how badly Cheney wanted a “New Pearl Harbour”.

Flight 93 was our first response back to the terrorists showing them that America could not be defeated. I know the left will never admit to this, but it is clear that we have clearly disrupted the Al Qaeda organization. The MSM did not give much air time to a recent story showing that the London bombings last year were not the work of Al Qaeda but a bunch of free lance terrorists. The left in this country has done nothing but take swipes at the president, something you never do during a time of war. All of the propaganda spewed out has aided our enemy and made the Iraq war tougher for our brave men and women to fight. The fact that it took the democratic party four and half years to develop a policy on national security shows how pathetic you guys are. I hope you never get your power back.

I just wish to echo Mr. Corn’s words. I was working on K-street that morning, just a few blocks from the White House. One jet had just hit the Pentagon, and word was flying through our building that another plane was headed our way.

I am humbled that those people may have saved my life, and/or thousands of other DC workers scrambling to get away from the White House, Capitol complex and other likely intended targets. May the flight 93 passengers RIP.

I am so sick of the passengers of Flight 93 being disgraced by this lying administration. Cell phones do not work at 35,000 feet. Jet engines do not bounce or blow in the wind for five miles. And an airline crash site ALWAYS has pieces of bodies in it. This was did not. That plane was shot down on the orders of Bush and Cheney. Why all this bullshit about heroes and struggles? The only way the victims of Flight 93 will be honoured will be when Bush and Cheney are thrown in jail for lying.

As for flight 93 – my heart is saddened by the needless loss of lives. Now there is a movie about flight 93 which is probably another republican ploy to keep us afraid and focused on 9/11. What Bush&Co are forgetting is that the public remembers Osama and we lost track of him because of some crazy idea about invading Iraq (and getting even with Saddam and a one upsmanship of dear old daddy bush).

War is the most important time to disagree with the president. War is the most stressful time a nation can endure. War should never be taken lightly and should never be undertaken without the highest degree of inquiry and introspection.

Furthermore, the right and power of dissent should never be denied to the public for any reason whatsoever.

As for an emboldened enemy, do you think that CNN broadcasts and Time magazine are more powerful exemplars of our impotency than their own eyes? They can clearly see for themselves whether and how much (or little) our military can affect the situation on the ground.

Cell phone use has been banned due to concerns about how it could affect an aircraft’s navigation. And cell phones sometimes have trouble working when the plane is at cruising altitude because phone towers aren’t built to project their signals that high.

I’m not interested in this story as too much doubt surrounds all the events to offer an attempt at a definitive “story”. Propaganda is done BEFORE facts are clear, generally. I file this as propaganda.

As soon as the complete tape is released (I understand the last four minutes that may only have the sound of wind before a crash,) I will be interested.

Personally, I doubt the entire official account, so I am not disposed to partake of this human drama. It’s a bit tawdry and vulgar, isn’t it? Speculating about the terror others may have experienced, all while making money for a film maker, but mostly for a studio.

A757 is a huge aircraft.

What’s with the four plus year delay in the “release” of the tape? Since the debris trail from the plane was five miles long (impossible if the plane had crashed rather than exploded in midair) I guess they had a little trouble finding the cockpit recorder. Or maybe they’re so incompetent, it took them that long to manufacture this spurious nonsense.

Since I am assuming you are a member of the FAA here or some form of engineer dealing with heavy passanger jets, I have a couple of questions (Based on the impossible claim).

How long is the debris field typically when an experienced pilot is trying to slow an aircraft of that size and do an “Emergency Landing” in a field?

What would the debris field be if a cockpit was trying to be taken over and a jet of that size had the throttle all the way up by force?

At what altitude would a plane have to explode to make a 5 mile debris field?

Please keep in mind the Columbia explosion in mid air.

The altitude of Columbia at Nacogdoches is determined to be 8,897 ~ 8,900 Ft. (What altitude did you figure the plane was impacted by the missle from the U.S Military aircrafts at?)

The razorblade LIE was from the Pentagon “plane”, phoned in by Ted Oson’s wife who said she dind’t have a credit card to call with. And no other calls came off that flight, even though she said that the terrorists had told them they were going to die so call their families.

Bush hid behind our children while his treason went forward. That’s his speed.

Those victims on those flights are Bush’s fault, the start of his capital crimes.
