[...] The current alarmist meme is that Iran could produce the Bomb in sixteen days. Just makes you want to go out there and beat them back with more than just a stick, eh? But this latest pronouncement from the State Department conflicts with something called facts. The New York Times published yesterday an article stating that several analysts and experts see Iran as joining the Bomb Club in oh, say, ten years and sixteen days. One of the more responsible Republicans out there (though he’s not totally in the clear, not by a long shot), Chuck Hagel, announced he didn’t see military action as a viable option in dealing with Iran. For an excellent breakdown of the REAL issues involved on both sides (Smirk’s saber-rattling and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s equally shrill responses), go read Juan Cole’s Informed Comment(s) on the political realities of what’s going on.
Oh please. I don’t chastise only you.

You did this time, and in a tone like you really meant it. Not in your usual overly dramatic temper tantrum name calling manner.

There isn’t a person of interest on either side of the isle I haven’t had a cautionary word for including our little Jewish goddess. Besides, you wouldn’t want me to give you some sort of pass would you. I didn’t think so.

Oh please.

It’s my job to tell you how it ought to be not how it has to be.

No, it's your job to be supportive of how it is. It would be like me telling you that all men have to be lawyers or doctors and then constantly harping on you that you're failing as a man because you are neither of those things. Wouldn't you rather be supported for who it is that you are? Doesn't that fit so much better than forcing you to be someone you are not? Of course it does. And what's good for the gander, in this context, works aptly for the goose. It's human anture to want to be accepted for who you are, not told you are wrong for being yourself.

I didn’t say that.

That nonsense you posted above said exactly that. Submissive is to be a second class citizen, even outside your own home. That's exactly what you said.

Besides, there’s nothing submissive about a real woman even less so when she’s the one that keeps the family running.

Again - it takes two. There's a reason there are two people in a marriage. It takes the input, support and efforts of both people. And the ones who stay married are partners - by what ever terms the two of them decide. Maybe it is a submissive wife and dominant husband, or maybe it's the opposite - so long as it works for those two people. It's their decision. Not the predetermined path of some desert dwellers who lives a couple thousand years ago. No one is a better authority on me than me.

You’re right,

I couldn't read that, could you say it again? And again, for clarity? :)

I eat the submissive types up. In fact I can’t stand them.

Well, that's a majority of the women out there. And it comes from patriarchal organized religion telling them that their duty is to be submissive. I don't get how you keep missing that.

I'm not saying demoralize men and elevate a matriarchal society. It's not either or. It's about a mutually beneficial system that values men and women for whomever they are. I told you, it's a woman's prerogative to be a submissive little baby factory IF she chooses. My definition of feminism is that we support and respect a women's choice to be herself, whoever that may be - and not to obligate her to cram herself into a one-size-fits-all ideology that doesn't.

I guess you’re not on the same page with me in what it means to be a real woman.

Not by the stuff you posted above. Nope.

I assure you, I am a real woman. Anyone can raise a kid or two. Try helping to raise 120. Especially when you know that not every kids gets wonderful parents and a loving home, and there's a chance to guide that kid away from self-destructive behaviors. I sleep just fine at night.

But, from what you posted above, I don't qualify anyway. I suppose it's to be expected from that 1950's June Cleaver dictionary you use.

I’m not surprised, you read too many feminist losers.

I couldn't name one feminist. I don't read their stuff. I don't need to. I have something better. Personal use of a female body and life. And that's all I need to know what I know. And what I know is that no woman is a possession. We are all individuals, just like men. And we're all perfectly competent to be whomever we want to be in life - just like men. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll understand that we want the same freedom that you do. And the more likely you will have what it is you really want.

I don’t have to change. All I have to do is find some gal who isn’t ashamed of being who God made her. I know….lot’s a luck buddy.

You do have to open your mind, or you're looking for a needle in a million haystacks. And I can tell you, the last guy I knew like that despite his exceptionally good looks, financial stability, charming manners and a barrage of submissives lining up to fawn all over him, is currently becoming a priest.

Bythe way, my parents "made" me. They had sex, gave birth and raised me to be most of who I am. And I assure you, I am not ashamed of who I am. I used to be. Ashamed of being the 'weaker sex' as organized religion deemed. Ashamed of not coming from a wealthy family as Capitalism desired. Ashamed of having had an alcoholic parent as society judged. It took me years to realize that I was perfectly acceptable as I am.

And I've told you, if there is a God, this is who he made. I'm not ashamed of it and I resent anyone telling me that i should be. And if there's a God, I'm pretty certain he would resent it as well, because I am exactly who I am supposed to be.

I’m going to tell you a secret….I had several of those gals growing up and didn’t know it.

And I'll tell you one. That's pretty typical. Few men in their twenties are experienced enough to know that. I had boyfriends break up with me, thinking that if they could just find one like me in blonde, or a who had larger breasts (scary), or who had come from money. Some trivial little thing that was inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Every single one at some point came back, said he couldn't do better and wanted to get married. But I'd always moved on by then and was with someone else. You're not the only guy to let women get away and regret it. You can stop beating yourself up over that one.

They were waiting for me to step up and I stood aside…(I did much worse than stand aside btw)

You told me about one of them. When you were 23.

…..to all you young men out there in the peanut gallery, take it from me, don’t wait, you’re not going to get any smarter and the women are not going to get any better. Go with the one that triggers your first instinct and stick with her. Changing horses in the middle of the stream is for losers. Trust me when I tell you life and love isn’t at all like the movies or the romance novels….unless you follow the rules.

Sage advice. And I assure you, they won't take it. Partly why I figured I'd get married later in life. Men are like wines, and they improve with age (and a reduction in testosterone, I'm sure :)

You too Sugabugga. He is risen!

Then why did you only chastize me? Hmmm?

Oh please. I don't chastise only you. There isn't a person of interest on either side of the isle I haven't had a cautionary word for including our little Jewish goddess. Besides, you wouldn't want me to give you some sort of pass would you. I didn't think so.

I’m never gonna be a traditional wife and mother. It’s not how I was raised to be and frankly, not who I want to be. I was fortunate enough to get a functioning brain that is better spent at a career than in the kitchen (though I do like to cook… but it’s because I enjoy it and not because I am obligated to do so). It might not work for you. But, it’s not your call. It’s mine. And, I’m very happy about it. Or I’d have gone in another direction.

I don't think your name ever came up in that discussion. You do what you want just like everybody else. It's my job to tell you how it ought to be not how it has to be.

You say you want a submissive baby machine, but really, it’s not the type of woman you are attracted to.

I didn't say that. Besides, there's nothing submissive about a real woman even less so when she's the one that keeps the family running. You're right, I eat the submissive types up. In fact I can't stand them. I guess you're not on the same page with me in what it means to be a real woman. I'm not surprised, you read too many feminist losers.

Would be much easier to change your system than to try to change yourself to be someone you aren’t. It doesn’t even have to be radical. It’s just that you wouldn’t buy shoes five sizes too small and attempt to force your feet into them… So then, why would you try to force yourself into an ideology that is at least five sizes too small? Just an obvious observation. But, hey, if beating your head against the wall is more comfortable than change, than have it at.

I don't have to change. All I have to do is find some gal who isn't ashamed of being who God made her. I know....lot's a luck buddy. I'm going to tell you a secret....I had several of those gals growing up and didn't know it. They were waiting for me to step up and I stood aside...(I did much worse than stand aside btw).....to all you young men out there in the peanut gallery, take it from me, don't wait, you're not going to get any smarter and the women are not going to get any better. Go with the one that triggers your first instinct and stick with her. Changing horses in the middle of the stream is for losers. Trust me when I tell you life and love isn't at all like the movies or the romance novels....unless you follow the rules.

Enjoy what’s left of your Easter Sunday.

Oh please. I don’t chastise only you. There isn’t a person of interest on either side of the isle I haven’t had a cautionary word for including our little Jewish goddess. Besides, you wouldn’t want me to give you some sort of pass would you. I didn’t think so.

I don’t think your name ever came up in that discussion. You do what you want just like everybody else. It’s my job to tell you how it ought to be not how it has to be.

You say you want a submissive baby machine, but really, it’s not the type of woman you are attracted to.

I didn’t say that. Besides, there’s nothing submissive about a real woman even less so when she’s the one that keeps the family running. You’re right, I eat the submissive types up. In fact I can’t stand them. I guess you’re not on the same page with me in what it means to be a real woman. I’m not surprised, you read too many feminist losers.

I don’t have to change. All I have to do is find some gal who isn’t ashamed of being who God made her. I know….lot’s a luck buddy.
I don’t think she’s a bully. She made a statement and the next thing you know everybody is calling her a liar or a freak of nature.

He made a joke about a dead child. If you let reason instead of emotion control you when it comes to MA (though with all that adoration he serves you I don' know if it's possible), you might have noticed. And you should know, she is a he. If you weren't so willfully oblivious of transgender and gay people, you'd recognize the fact. Or haven't you noticed that he never argues with the supposition?

It had nothing to do with Ryan. I read her comment just before I had to go do something else and by the time I got back, I went straight there and responded. I'm not a lemming. When ever will you get that?

At being unfairly jugded. Yep. And I think, in light of recent conversations, there's a chance that it was intentional on your part.

Well, unless you're into that sorta thing (I'm not, but certainly wouldn't count you out :O . )

I hardly think you are in any light to judge my standing up to a bully who crossed the line as my character flaw. If you were trying to piss me off, you did. More than you have so far.

What is sad is that women (some maybe even most) don’t look at a successful marriage and well raised normal children as an accomplishment.

Again, take my job for a week. These people live for raising their own children and the community's.

I guess if you look at the divorce rates, the declining number of marriages and children and then look at the “average” kid these days one could say most women don’t hold marriage and family in very high regard. It’s too bad. It’s really the only thing they can possibly be excellent at.

Whao, you can't blame only women for this. In EVERY relationship between two adults, there are two people involved. Maybe you got a bad deal. But there are women who get married and their husband turns into a lazy slob. It works on both sides of the fence.

But what I'm saying that you seem to be missing is that things that are obligations are burdens, and burdens are not a lot of fun. If instead marriage is seen as a partnership without pressures from society to be married, I would wager that the divorce rate would drop.

Women are only second class, second rate and also-rans outside the home. I of course must allow for the exceptions as there have been brilliant women in almost every male dominated field of endeavor but as the rule and as the norm they can not compete with men.

Bullshit. Period. When I was in architecture, when I had the choice to select team members, 9 out of 10 times I picked women. Not because of the bullshit you posted above, but because 9 out of 10 times they work harder to compensate for misogynistic little boys like you who spout the crap that floows below:

You people are supposed to get married and have children and learn and study and practice to be excellent mothers and wives. If God had wanted YOU to be different than that He’d make damn sure your dick didn’t fall off when the doctor first slapped your butt.

You are insane. My purpose in life is only determined by ME. It's why I have a brain to decide for myself.

For more information please write and ask for my booklet, “I-RIGHT-I’s guide to Excellence in Womanhood” , $5.95 plus postage and handling. I’m also available to speak at your Church socials and soccer mom tea’s.

Hell, you couldn't pay me for that garbage. I don't need you to tell me what's right for me. You obviously have not one single clue. But, please, feel free to post your address in case someone else does...

Let me let you in on a little biological fact... actually, let's make it two. Women can stand significantly more pain than men (think child birth), and it's the brain that controls intellect, not the penis. I don't need a willy to do your job better than you. Be glad I don't want your job. (which is exactly why you're being brain-washed by your misogynistic religion to think women only exist to wash your dirty clothes and like it. Funny how you didn't like paying your wife's way so much - considering that is supposed to be your Biblically assigned function.)

A bit? Well if that particular one didn't work for you, there are hundreds around here where you tell people, including me, to go retroactively abort themselves, to commit suicide in a variety of ways, and so on. I hardly think you are in any light to judge my standing up to a bully who crossed the line as my character flaw. If you were trying to piss me off, you did. More than you have so far. And if I didn't need to bitch at you to vent, I wouldn't even be speaking to you for at least a week. But then again, I wouldn't want to be held accountable for your pain and suffering over that one :P

That’s funny and yet sad all at the same time. Sad that cultures still label women by marital status and not accomplishments.

If God had wanted YOU to be different than that He’d make damn sure your dick didn’t fall off when the doctor first slapped your butt.

Uh...that was one of my better little skits. OK I dressed it up a bit. There was no girlfriend, the lady was going to shoot me. It just sounded more redneck the other way.

I thought my comment in #181 would be my last in this thread, but I should point out that the Japanese girl's mistaken idea of what "marital status" meant is something that happened at least 20 years ago. I think she simply opened a Japanese-English dictionary and picked out the first word, without quite understanding the fine nuances. That particular girl was quite pretty but lacking in any special talents. I think she managed to get married at about 26 or 27; I lost touch with her thereafter.
At that time, Japan had the lowest percentage in the industrialized world of women between 25 and 39 who had never been married; now it has the highest. Equal employment laws have opened up new possibilities for Japanese women, though they still tend to be lower paid than men in most professions. And with better, though hardly equal, job opportunities, many Japanese women are choosing careers over marriage to some slob who won't treat them well, though many of them still hope to find someone nice enough so that they can manage both. In the large cities at least, for a woman to be 30-something and single is no longer rare nor viewed as strange. Now it is supposed to be the men who want to get married and are having trouble finding wives; I hear there are even sensitivity classes for Japanese men nowadays.
To me, the mention of "spinster" conjures up the image from the old Frank Capra movie (I guess "old" is an oxymoron here) "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town," of the two elderly maiden sisters who appear at the trial to determine whether or not the eponymous hero is mad or "pixilated," in their words. If you've seen this movie, I think you will know what I mean.

I already stated on another thread why I doubt that Mighty Hypocrite is a woman–particularly one with a professional degree.

Although I wish I could forget, I remember :) You made a very case. I no longer doubt that he is a transgender man who spends his time foolishly rather than positively counciling or helping other transgendered people. He could be devoting this energy into something positive, but he instead chooses anger, animosity and self gratification from insulting others who have what he wants - a uterus. To be sympathetic to this behavior would only be codependent to it.

Another reason I would like to add is her/his/its frequent reference to you as a “spinster.” With all the lifestyle choices available today, do you know any other woman supposedly in her 30s (”a tad older than 34″) or even 40s who call unmarried women in their 30s, 40s or even 50s with successful careers “spinsters?” I don’t.

I haven't heard the word in a while. By definition, it's an 80 year old woman living alone who never married or had children and hates others who did. Not even remotely close to who I am. I wasn't raised to have marriage as a goal. My father watched his mother go through 3 abusive marriages, and he did everything he could to instill a sense of independence in me so that I'd get married when I was ready and not because I needed some man's paycheck to support me. I'm thankful for that. It saved me the heartache of a divorce. And it's funny how many divorced women tell me that :).

The last time I can even remember seeing “spinster” written out was when a Japanese woman a few decades ago asked me to look over and correct, if necessary, her application for some summer study program in the US. In the column “Marital Status” she had written “None, spinster.” After chuckling a bit, I explained to her that at all of 23, she was hardly a “spinster” by any standards.

That's funny and yet sad all at the same time. Sad that cultures still label women by marital status and not accomplishments. I used to work with a woman from Japan a few yeas ago who speficially left Japan to get away from the demeaning way women are treated in the business world there. She said that the first day of work, right out of college, the men and women were divided into groups. And while the men were taught business strategies, the women were taught how to put on make-up and pour tea. She's been gone 10 years now and when I saw her a few months ago, she hadn't yet returned to visit. I think she didn't want to risk getting stuck over there until after her greencard had been approved. Can't say I blame her.

Au contraire, that's exactly what a lie is. If you say "I did X", and then say "I have never done or claimed to have done X", either the confession or the denial is a lie. Either way, it is a lie. You are a fake and a liar. Olé!

thanks for going to the trouble to dig all that up.

You're welcome. And it was no trouble at all; your rubbish and senseless tripe are all over this blog, you pathetic liar. Olé!

While you were wasting time trying to one-up me I was busy screwing your sister. Olé!

I didn't "try" to "one-up" you. I absolutely did. I proved you are a wanton, bald-faced, scruplesless liar. Not only that, you "one-downed" yourself when you mentioned my family, hence making my case for me. Last time I heard that weak, innefectual comeback I was in high school (you did graduate from high school, didn't you?) . Better think of another, more mature retort or (idea!) another lie. Olé!

#181 Iam-aWRONG-Idiot,
I never said that the US ought to have bombed North Korea. I only pointed out that if Dumbya's latest excuse for invading Iraq, after WMDs weren't found, was because Saddam is an evil dictator who murders his citizens, the same should have easily applied to North Korea's Kim Jong Il--meaning that it was just another B.S. excuse. However, I realize subtlety is too much for a Kool-Aid drinker to fathom.
Incidentally, I favor Israel's right to exist. But the US Constitution does not note a special relationship with Israel (which didn't exist as a nation at the time). Our duty as Americans is first and foremost to uphold the US Constitution--not the Bible, plain and clear.

North Korea is clearly a very minor thing on the neo-CON agenda compared to oil-rich countries, although it is ruled by a dictator just as cruel–or even crueler than–Saddam Hussein.

I-R-I: One of the reasons I have always believed the United Startes was so wonderfully blessed was its committment to our ally, Israel. The “Chosen People”

America from day one has been a safe haven for Israel like no other place on earth, until lately that is. There were Jewish signatories to the Constitution and more than a few bought their freedom and ours with their blood. The USA does not seem to figure prominently if at all in scripture but I don't think there's any denying the blessings the Creator of the Universe has bestowed on this land and her people. The Euroscum, the Left Wing American fuckwits and the godless heathen bastards of the Middle East have been warned. And I'll tell them one more time so that their blood is on their own heads;

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 12:3

It's pretty simple, no? The feckless Germans have forgotten already what happens to you when you make yourself into a Haman.

http://www.keyway.ca/htm2001/20010107.htm

often wonder “why couldn’t God choose someone else..”

Because God made a deal with Abraham and because it was through his line that God would provide a savior for all mankind. The Jewish people can never be destroyed as God still has a future for them.

As a patriotic American and devout Gentile, you understand the special relationship between the God of our Fathers and His children, Israel. (They are not loved more - but their history gives Jews a special relationship.)

Ah, to tell you the truth I'm very happy not being one of the "Chosen". All through history from Genesis through 2006 our Lord has used those people as a lesson to the rest of us, and of course much more. Ogden Nash wrote; "How odd of God, to choose the Jews." Not at all odd really. The Jews exemplified everything that is good and is bad about fallen humanity and gave Him the opportunity to introduce Himself to the world through Israel. It's a lousy job but somebody had to do it. All I can say is, good job but now your Creator is calling you.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Joh 13:20

Just to let you know, Mr.Aphrodite thought your comments in post #5 should be memorized and implemented by the diplomatic corps!!

Comment by mighty aphrodite

Please thank Himself for me. I'm afraid though that the scenario where the USA takes her commitment to Israel all the way is becoming less likely as the years go by. In my opinion the satanic urge to kill the Jews is once again gaining strength and this time it has a solid base in the USA through the Transnational Progressive movement (Filthy Left) who internationally is closely allied with the fanatics in the Muslim world. In some instances they are even subservient to the Muslims.

Israel is in for a rough ride and anyone who protects her will be forced to make some very tough and costly choices. Can you imagine how many people on this board would be willing to pay $10 gas because America has chosen to go to war on the side of Israel? We are in for a rough ride and I'll tell you the truth, Israel as we know it today may not survive another 20 years. And no, that idea or outcome does not conflict with my fundamentalist pre-millennial understanding of re-born Israel. Just in case you wondered.

Oh, by the way. The Walking Dead Losers sure have been hard on you lately. Keep up the good work!!! USA! USA! USA!

The Euroscum, the Left Wing American fuckwits and the godless heathen bastards of the Middle East have been warned. And I’ll tell them one more time so that their blood is on their own heads;

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 12:3

It’s pretty simple, no? The feckless Germans have forgotten already what happens to you when you make yourself into a Haman.

often wonder “why couldn’t God choose someone else..”

Because God made a deal with Abraham and because it was through his line that God would provide a savior for all mankind. The Jewish people can never be destroyed as God still has a future for them.

As a patriotic American and devout Gentile, you understand the special relationship between the God of our Fathers and His children, Israel. (They are not loved more – but their history gives Jews a special relationship.)

Ah, to tell you the truth I’m very happy not being one of the “Chosen”. All through history from Genesis through 2006 our Lord has used those people as a lesson to the rest of us, and of course much more. Ogden Nash wrote; “How odd of God, to choose the Jews.” Not at all odd really. The Jews exemplified everything that is good and is bad about fallen humanity and gave Him the opportunity to introduce Himself to the world through Israel. It’s a lousy job but somebody had to do it.

Please thank Himself for me. I’m afraid though that the scenario where the USA takes her commitment to Israel all the way is becoming less likely as the years go by.

We are in for a rough ride and I’ll tell you the truth, Israel as we know it today may not survive another 20 years. And no, that idea or outcome does not conflict with my fundamentalist pre-millennial understanding of re-born Israel. Just in case you wondered.

Oh, by the way. The Walking Dead Losers sure have been hard on you lately. Keep up the good work!!! USA! USA!
