Here’s what Hindraker is really writing:
Dear Mr. Fox:
Congratulations on your appointment to this exciting new position! Enclosed are directions to the henhouse. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your stay here more enjoyable.
Yours truly,
The Chickens
How does it go? Fool me once, shame on … shame on you. Fool me twice, won’t get fooled again.
I’m sorry, but I just can’t see this happening. The administation needs some public support to get anything done and the outrage over an appointment like this would be huge and vocal.
Is there a law that says the director of OMB can’t operate out of a prison? You guys need to think outside the box. For that matter, if Rumsfeld were to leave before Bush’s term is up, Duke Cunningham would make a great Defense Secretary. Am I wrong?
Why doesn’t Mr. Hinderaker just admit that he puts loyalty to the Republican Party ahead of loyalty to the country? Why doesn’t he just state his obvious belief that whatever the Republicans want to do, it is in the best interests of the country, and then point oput to us how all Americans benefit from the republican platform?
If, and this is a conservative we’re talking about so it’s a very big if, what Hoinderaker says is true that no one knows more about the budget than Tom DeLay, it;s only because Tom DeLay has helped to corrupt the system so badly that no one could do it the way he does, but the way he does it woudl be highly unethical.
If he honestly thinks that Tom DeLay is an honest, trustworthy person, then he has shown he has no credibility. But since conservatives have no respect for the truth, I’m not surprised.
In other news, Duke Cunningham has been nominated to head of procurement for the Department of Defense, and Claude Allen will head up the white collar crime unit of the Justice Department.
There are many other better snarks to make, but some of us have day jobs and don’t have George “HR Genius Extraordinaire” Bush helping us pimp our careers.
They have just lost officials for: shoplifting, soliciting a minor, indictment for perjury (Plame), indictment for perjury (Abramoff), with a couple more on deck. The odds of DeLay getting indicted for something connected to Abramoff are probably at least 50-50.
Lord, I’d love to see DeLay become head of OMB, but, on this, I would guess we’ve already plumbed the depths of their stupidity. Ain’t gonna happen.
#11 – I SO want this to happen. Please, please, please keep showing us what we already know. And really, enough and even the sheeple will revolt. This is too rich.
Excellent idea. Seriously, though…..who’d want to be point man for this administration on this budgetary Titanic? No one who cares about his/her integrity would sign on to front this disaster. What’s left? Clowns and criminals.
Along with O’realllllees’ declaration of war yesterday, this has got to be only just so much chaff thrown out, trying to draw the missles off course as they home in on Dumbya, Chainey, Rumsfeld and the endless list of losers they employ.
These clowns know they only have so much time before their chains get jerked up short. The naked truth of the deception about WMD’s ( just got to say that those two sorry little trailers with a few tanks, barrels and less plumbing than your average household constituted a threat to America, was a joke in the first place, and it was the only thing Dubious had as evidence, and proved to be beyond false in the first place….. jeeeeshh)
Where was I?
Oh yeah…..
Be prepared for extraordinary efforts, folks, these bozos know they are going down, it’s only a matter of time.
They can, and will try, to damage and sabotage the efforts needed to bring justice and reconstruction to our damaged government.
Above all, don’t let the Monkey play with the football……
As I said on C-span, there is a noose with Delay’s name on it. We are now happy to report that there is another few for the traitors over at Powerline too. It gets more efficient the more you hang at the same time.
Thanks for thinking of conserving energy Powerline.

April 13th, 2006 at 11:49 amGreat idea!
April 13th, 2006 at 11:49 amGiven that the OMB director’s function is to do nothing but pretend that everything Bush does is great, I think the’s the perfect choice.
April 13th, 2006 at 11:50 amA ringing endorsement from Ass Rocket.
You said it, Kenneth Fair.
April 13th, 2006 at 11:51 ambut what will Bush do if Delay is in jail? or can Delay fill his role from prison?
April 13th, 2006 at 11:54 amWon’t it be hard to do anything from a jail cell?
April 13th, 2006 at 11:55 amNCPLB=No Corrupt Politician Left Behind
Sounds like a winner of a strategy.
Maybe there is room for Augusto Pinochet too.

April 13th, 2006 at 12:22 pmWisco, I agree, but then that would be using logic and common sense which the bushgang does not use.

April 13th, 2006 at 1:14 pmHOORAY!!!
that is the funniest thing I’ve read all day … give that man Blog of the Year award!!!
April 13th, 2006 at 1:16 pm#13 Why doesn’t Mr. Hinderaker just admit that he puts loyalty to the Republican Party ahead of loyalty to the country?
Hell, Hinderaker puts loyalty to the GOP above loyalty to his mom, dad, wife, and kids.
April 13th, 2006 at 1:16 pmCredibility? This the same guy who said recently that Delay had become “too liberal in recent years” (http://powerlineblog.com/archives/013645.php).
April 13th, 2006 at 1:22 pmAnd Charlie Manson for Sec. of Health and Human Services!
April 13th, 2006 at 1:49 pmHeck of a job, Hinder.
April 13th, 2006 at 1:53 pmHey, Tom’s good at getting the money in, which would help erase Josh’s ginormous yawning deficit….
As long as we don’t ask where the money came from and ignore the bodies floating in the Potomac…
