of classified info. “Vice President Dick Cheney directed his then-chief of staff, I. Lewis ‘Scooter’ Libby, on July 12, 2003 to leak to the media portions of a then-highly classified CIA report that Cheney hoped would undermine the credibility of former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson…according to Libby’s grand jury testimony in the CIA leak case and sources who have read the classified report,” Murray Waas reports in the National Journal.
Who here has read the thread fromm HuffPo that says Neil Young’s new album (showing my age), disc, excuse me…has a track titled “Impeach the President”.
Can we Impeach Darth first, then chimpy? I’d hate to live in a United States where our supreme Fuehrer, oops, I mean Emperor, awww jeeze, sorry, Leader is Darth Cheney.
April 14th, 2006 at 2:32 pmSo, how long before we can indict, arrest and jail the bloated fat white faced vp for his crimes.? Ever.?….Blessings
April 14th, 2006 at 2:34 pmThe race is on!
Will the thinking members of Congress (if there are any) impeach the bunch of them before they bomb Iran? Two weeks may be too long! Maybe O’Liely was right the first time and the attack will be on Easter.
April 14th, 2006 at 2:37 pmIt will soon be called the White House of Cards…’cause when one of them goes all of them will be falling.
April 14th, 2006 at 2:49 pmI just can’t see how Cheney thought the info in that classified CIA report would undermine Joe Wilson’s credibility. It seems a fairly lame plan on Cheney’s part. And Wilson’s wife wasn’t even in that report, so was Cheney just trying to get her killed, or what?

I belive they wanted to somehow discredit him and they were saying that his wife was the one that got him to go there and that he wasn’t credible.
But just like investing they tried to only look at the short term gain(going to war without nay-saying) against looking at the long term consequences(jail-time).
April 14th, 2006 at 2:59 pm5 – More evidence that, despite his seeming gravitas, Dick’s not what you would call a ‘deep thinker’.

#6 Except that it wasn’t true then that his wife sent him and it isn’t true now, but they keep on saying it all the time. Maybe not the president and vice president, but all the minions of the Republican party who go on TV and say just about anything to try to win a debate will keep trying to give viewers (or readers) the impression that there is even the smallest iota of truth to it. Because conservatives do not argue with facts, they argue with ideology, which in itself is often based on lies, deceit, misinformation, bigotry and a general hatred of people different from themselves. In other words, they’re the kind of people our mothers warned us to stay away from.
April 14th, 2006 at 3:30 pmThe right wing noe con nut jobs do not have ideas, they have beliefs. As Rufus said….
I think it’s better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can’t generate. Life becomes stagnant.
April 14th, 2006 at 3:49 pmVery Good point, Jules!..Kindness, I’ll re-arrange my Impeachment list, to cheney first, good idea. Now to turn up the fire under congress to DO IT.
April 14th, 2006 at 4:15 pmCould this be the 21st century version of the “domino theory” being applied to the White House as was once applied to Viet Nam/Cambodia/Laos?
April 14th, 2006 at 4:28 pmIf one of these honchos is finally and indisputably found guilty of high crimes will they all tumble down after him — I hope so!
I believe the world will be sympathetic to the US, and will give us the benefit of the doubt that democracy is still alive in America and it is still functioning.
Perhaps this os a pollyanna view, but I hope that we can indeed regain respect in the world when we demonstrate that we can topple our own leaders when they are this corrupt.
Because conservatives do not argue with facts, they argue with ideology, which in itself is often based on lies, deceit, misinformation, bigotry and a general hatred of people different from themselves
Once people recognize the “Assault Ministry” [Falwell, Coulter, Robertson, Limbaugh, O'reilly] Style, the ‘Pundits’ game is up.
The ‘Blame Game” is over. The Neo-Cons, who see the Christians as “Wackos [Delay] who will believe whatever they are told” ‘Fair and Balanced’ Pundit Media has died yet they are too stupid to realize it and keep repeating the same garbage.
April 14th, 2006 at 5:30 pmThese actions of Cheney, to undermine the security of our Nation and lie us into war, are not treason…
UUmmm, isn’t this worse than a b*job.

”Keeps me searching for a Heart of Gold
April 15th, 2006 at 2:05 amKeeps me searching and I’m growing Old
It keeps me searching for a Heart of Gold
And I’m gettin’ Old.”
How can this story be getting so little attention in the mainstream media!?! Day after day the administration proves the need to evaluate and verify their actions at every single step – taking a page from their own playbook, don’t we just encourage them by ignoring their crimes?
