“Iran has formed battalions of suicide bombers to strike at British and American targets if the nation’s nuclear sites are attacked. According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action.”
George “Big W†Bush vs. Mahmoud “Mad Dog†Ahmadinejad
WWF has just announced the Cage Match of the century…a no-holds-barred holy war smack-down. The combatants are two loose cannons who have each been pile-driven one time too often.
It’s a winner take all grudge match. The stakes are high. Each man is allowed three conventional weapons and there will be one WMD perched atop a 30 foot pole that can only be used if the match exceeds 15 rounds. The winner will assume his rightful position as either “God’s Right Hand Man†or “Allah’s Main Mullah.â€
Yes, you heard that right…it doesn’t get any better than this…it’s none other than George “Big W†Bush against that up and coming scrapper Mahmoud “Mad Dog†Ahmadinejad. Tickets go on sale Easter Sunday. Not available on pay-per-view. Seating is limited and United Nations Security Council nations will have first choice on floor seating.
Don’t miss this one…when it’s over there will finally be one nation under God…or Allah.
Richard Clarke had a similar op-ed today in the New York Times Week in Review section. Let’s face it, we have a mad man at the helm who has proven he can consistantly make bad decisions and he is facing one of the biggest our nation will ever face: What should we do with Iran? If he bombs them he will unleash scores of terrorists willing to help the insurgancy and to plant bombs on our soil. Or he could try to do something diplomatic to solve the problem.
We are screwed.
Exactly how does one graduate from such a school? Would not all successful graduates be dead? ……..Stupid joke, I know.
Seriously though, all Iran is saying is that they will fight back, with all the means they can muster, if the US attacks them first. Since when does a promise to retaliate in their own defense become acts of aggression? Since when does the killing of a million Iranians, because they are pursuing their legal right to nuclear power, become acts of self-defense?
We are, as a country, thinking exactly like rapists now. Our victims must lie still and promise not to resist or we will cut their throats. We have lost so much credibility that people are not buying it any more.
According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action.â€
Proving that hardline fanatics on all sides are full of it. I take this comment about as seriously as George Bush’s “Iraq recently tried to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger” quote. All of these guys thrive in a climate of fear and warmongering. Ahmadinejad is just some nutter without George Bush to rail against. George Bush is just another failed president without “911, 911, 911″. You see the same thing in the battle of wits between Hamas and the Israeli rightwing settlers. Neither want’s peace and each will give their all to make sure saner heads don’t prevail.
2,376 the number of U.S. military members who have died
another 4 marines brown bread today by god karma is getting faster
I think it would be americas biggest ever mistake to invade Iran because the fact they cannot communicate with Iran out of stubborness, Im sure the american public want to solve this diplomatically
The Question: When will the Bush administration stop lying through its fucking teeth? Answer: Until George W. Bush and his pet squirrels (Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney, the Pentagon, the oil and energy companies etc.) are out of office and power, and are thrown in jail. And when the president’s polls goes down to 10%. Why 10%? Those are the one who $profit$ directly from this administration. To these scum bags—and those of the red state voters—patriotism has nothing to do with it.
Even if the number is significantly less, they could still inflict tremendous damage on our “war effort”; remember the war games conducted by Gen. Van Riper? He demonstrated that from a terrorist standpoint the use of asymetric tactics works very well when the agents of destruction aren’t afraid of dying.
what Americans dont understand about other nations is that “other nations would like to have a rich and comfortable life too”. if you try to stop other nations (including IRAN) from achieving that goal, they would fight back with all they have. is it not what Americans did to get where they are now? Americans are proud to have fought for what they have; perhaps it is time now for other nations to follow the CORRECT path of Americans and fight to improve their economy and military power, as Americans did. So what is all the foss about Iran becoming a Nuclear power? Considering the fact that there has only been one country in the history of the world that has ever used nuclear weapons on innocent civilians and that would be USA, then I think if any country is to be leashed is USA. However, what i see here is 2 mad dogs (George and Mahmood) barking at each other and as a result the public has to pay more for gas. who s benefitting here? the Bush family and administration with all the oil companies shares they own and the Mullas in Iran with all the extra cash they get from the increase in the price of OIL. now we are sitting here and waisting our time listening to and reading about these 2 mad super religious guys.
LETS BE REALLY AFRAID OF IRANS SUICIDE BOMBERS. TOO BAD FOR THEM THEYRE IN IRAN. ISLAMIC CULTURE IS ASLL ABOUT WHO CAN THREATEN THE LOUDEST. AMERICANS DONT GO AROUND SAYING WE HAVE 80 MILLION REDNECKS EACH WITH GUN AND A BULLET FOR EACH IRANIAN.
DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE WE HAVE NO ANIMOSITY TOWARDS THE IRANIAN PEOPLE. WE JUST DONT WANT PRESIDENT CRAZYBEARD AND THE ISLAMIC FUNDIES TO GET NUKES.
I WANT THE IRANIANS TO CEASE AND DESIST FROM ENRICHING URANIUM AND STOP THEIR RHETORIC. IF THEY DID. THERE WOULD BE NO ATTACK. I HOPE ITS NOT TOO LATE

Ahmadinejad comes from the generation of Shia fighters that faced eight years of savage, bloody war with Iraq – twice the length of World War I. During this holocaust, they faced massed bombardments, poison gas attacks, and the nightmare of trench warfare.
Iran used human wave suicide attacks, and sent teenage volunteers to clear Iraqi minefields with their bodies. It was the realization of the Shia creed of sacrifice and martyrdom in a fight against hopeless odds.
Having faced Saddam’s fury in an eight-year war in which 400,000 Iranian soldiers died and 600,000 were wounded, Iranians do not fear George Bush.
Like Bush, Ahmadinejad boasts, “bring ’em on.” He assumes the over-stretched US military can barely hold on to Iraq, never mind invade Iran. A shutoff of Iranian oil exports would send gas prices skyrocketing. And he knows that US forces in Iraq are hostages to its Shia majority. Any attack on Iran would invite reprisals by Shias against US forces spread across Iraq.
So, at least for now, it appears President Ahmadinejad has decided to do a North Korea: that is, defy the western powers, dig in, and be ready to fight to the last man.
I have no doubt we can dispense with their air defenses, but I’m not so sure we can address their land-based ship missles. And, regardless of that problem, we’ll have a nation of people who’ll have no problem going after the infidel in Iraq. God help our troops there.

FIRST- OUR TROOPS CAN EASILY HOLD ONTO IRAQ. THERES A CIVIL WAR GOING ON IN IRAQ. 100 TIMES AS MANY IRAQIS DIES AS AMERICANS. IF THEY WANT TO LIVE IN HELL, WE CANT STOP THEM.
SECOND- IF YOURE SO CONCERNED OUR 100$ A BARREL OIL, THINK HOW BAD IT WILL BE WHEN ISRAEL AND IRAN HAVE A NUCLEAR WAR . ALL IM SAYING IS , ISNT NOW PREFERABLE TO THE FUTURE WHICH WILL BE COMPLICATED BY A NUCLEAR IRAN.
THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS IS TO FACE IRAN NOW, NOT IN 4 OR 5 YEARS. DONT YOU GET IT. THERE WILL BE A WAR. ISRAEL WILL START IT. DO YOU EXPECT US TO SIT ON THE SIDELINES AND WATCH WITH 150,000 TROOPS IN THE MIDDLE? USE YOUR BRAIN.
The Times article seems a bit weak. Ref the 40,000 bombers but at present only 29 targets. It staes they want to attack Britian as well but no box to tick for attacking Britian only Israel and USA.
Propaganda wars, probably the only fun war to have.
“William Arkin, who served as the US Army’s top intelligence mind on West Berlin in the 1970s and accurately predicted US military operations against Iraq, said the plan is known in military circles as TIRANNT, an acronym for “Theater Iran Near Term.” …
“According to military sources close to the planning process, this task was given to Army General John Abizaid, now commander of CENTCOM, in 2002,” Arkin wrote, referring to the Florida-based US Central Command.
But preparations under TIRANNT began in earnest in May 2003 and never stopped, he said. The plan has since been updated using information collected in Iraq.”
It looks like it will be the last two idiots on earth. Too bad they can’t go one on one. Nothing good can come of a senseless attack on Iran.It was called arrogance of power during Viet Nam. Good for these General’s questioning this fool’s errand.
“Then on Thursday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Tehran was “presently conducting research” on the P-2 centrifuge, boasting that it would quadruple Iran’s enrichment powers. Centrifuges are tall, thin machines that spin very fast to enrich, or concentrate, uranium’s rare component, uranium 235, which can fuel nuclear reactors.”
This is what I don’t get. Why is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad saying anything at all? If he really wants to attack anyone, than why is he letting his enemies know what he is up to? I don’t follow that logic. He’s now allowing his enemies to decide if they should stop him before he has the bombs.
THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS IS TO FACE IRAN NOW, NOT IN 4 OR 5 YEARS. DONT YOU GET IT.
“We’re fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them here.” Where have I heard that before now…? And it’s been working so well…
Of course, Iran has been emboldened lately specifically because we destroyed and destabilized Iraq, the one buffer in the mideast they had against them. We’re reaping what we’ve sowed, and the future looks grim. Thanks George.
“Why is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad saying anything at all? If he really wants to attack anyone, than why is he letting his enemies know what he is up to? I don’t follow that logic.” Magnum DB
I think he saw what happened when Saddam tried to comply with the UN…it facilitated our invasion and occupation. So he’s following Kim Jong II school of diplomacy.
Not sure if he’ll have success with it, but, no matter, if we commit another act of war (no way will we get a UN resolution to support it), we are going to pay a price in many, many ways. There will be 138 countries on this planet who’ll be asking, “are we next”? Dollars will get dumped so fast, it will be like a financial nuetron bomb hit us.
Not to Worry Bush has all your Phones Tapped. Wait thats in America. Not to Worry Bush has his the Port Security…Wait thats no good either…Not to Worry Bush has the DHS officers…huh? Oh yeh they got arrested for being Perverts. Not to Worry Bush says FEMA…Oh Crap, That too? FUBAR?..
Ok Folks not to worry Dick Cheney will declassify the Iranian..Damnit, that too? Forged?…Not to Worry Folks Bush has the CIA agents working on WMD…SHEEET. Thats Right he outted the agents. Not to Worry folks the congress has everythnig under control…Now What? 7 of them going to Prison?
Dont Worry Folks George Bush, holding Dicks Hand, will cower Down in the basement of the White House and Protect YOU!

DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE WE HAVE NO ANIMOSITY TOWARDS THE IRANIAN PEOPLE. WE JUST DONT WANT PRESIDENT CRAZYBEARD AND THE ISLAMIC FUNDIES TO GET NUKES.
Yeah, which is precisely why you advocate killing a whole lot of them and taking their oil.
I WANT THE IRANIANS TO CEASE AND DESIST FROM ENRICHING URANIUM AND STOP THEIR RHETORIC. IF THEY DID. THERE WOULD BE NO ATTACK. I HOPE ITS NOT TOO LATE
If America ceased its rhetoric, and you know, actually spoke to the Iranians, there might be no attack. As it is, we all know how well co-operation worked out for Iraq.

Yeah, its not like America’s Army enrollment is down, the growing civil war in Iraq holds a fair chance of putting another Saddam in power, thereby making all the death so far in Iraq vain, and you are involved in 2 wars in the middle east as it is. Oh, and it certainly isn’t like attacking 3 of the Middle Eastern nations in a space of 8 years is going to unify the region against the growing perception of America as their common enemy now is it? /sarcasm.
If Bush had invaded Iran rather then Iraq way back when this mess started, it would have been possible to win, but right now, the time simply isn’t right. Bush needs to sit down and talk with these people, actually go in and try some diplomacy, or he could end up triggering WWIII. You do not want the complications that come in with Iran’s relationship with China and Russia that this war would breed, and you do not have the troop levels to take Iran with as few casualties as you took Iraq.
I do not understand all of the ‘hoopla’ over Iran being able, MAYBE, to build a nuclear bomb in the next 10 TO 15 YEARS, while our Lunatic-in-Chief, GWB has access to 10,000 of them RIGHT NOW!!! And he has said he WANTS TO USE THEM!!! This should terrify everyone! Bush said it would be up to other administrations to decide how the U.S. will get out of Iraq, (and all other countries we are fighting in) but says he will start a nuclear war with Iran, because he thinks future Presidents will “lack the courage” to act. He sounds like one of the 9/11 hijackers, “I don’t want to know how to end a war, I just want to start them.” THIS is what we should be concerned about, all else pales in comparison.
I get fed up of america bullying countries cause they have Nukes ,,,best thing is to let everybody have nukes and see america worry, wankers, leave iran alone mass murdering bullies stay on your own continent and get stuffed
The London Times is a Murdoch owned newspaper. The 40,000 suicide bombers is nothing but propaganda. Notice that the “information” was leaked to the Times by British intelligence.
Bombing Iran to stop their nuclear program is as big a red herring as was Saddam’s WMDs. The only rational explanation for a massive bombing campaign that attacks all of Iran’s military capabilities and infrastructure is that the US intends to invade southern Iran and seize control of the oil fields there which represent 80% of the country’s oil production. Losing 80% of it’s revenue will surely put the government in Tehran in a weak situation.
The neoconcs probably reckon that they can seize these oil fields with a relatively small force, say 30 to 40 thousand troops, backed up by US air power. They probably also believe that the ethnic minorities living in the area will welcome the US with flowers and candy and can be melded into some sort of provisional government that will declare independence from Iran and request American help, thus legitimizing the US occupation. All of this presumes that the Iranians won’t blow up the oil fields rather than let the US seize them.
A complicating fact is China gets 50% of it’s oil from Iran. If a US invasion seems likely I can see no reason why China wouldn’t sell Iran every weapons system they want, likewise for Russia. China, as the largest creditor to the largest debtor in the world, is also in a good position to scuttle the US dollar. Scuttling the dollar would certainly lower the value of China’s US treasury portfolio but might seem a reasonable trade off to them considering the strategic cost of Americans controlling their primary source of oil.
In the interests of national security, the Bush regime must be taken down. Bush will almost certainly launch this attack before the November elections. The only institution capable of neutering the neocons at this time is the US military with perhaps a little help from Patrick Fitzgerald. Let us pray.
I call BS.

April 16th, 2006 at 10:28 pmIt looks like it will be the last two idiots on earth. Too bad they can’t go one on one. Nothing good can come of a senseless attack on Iran.It was called arrogance of power during Viet Nam. Good for these General’s questioning this fool’s errand.
April 16th, 2006 at 11:22 pm#13 You can’t? Hah, you are so incredibly stupid.
April 16th, 2006 at 11:34 pmNew Worry Rises After Iran Claims Nuclear Steps
April 17th, 2006 at 12:03 amAnvilhead-
After reading your nonsense, I can only conclude that you must be one of the White House strategists.
I’d tell you to use your brain, but you’ve hammered it into a state of permanent stupidity.
April 17th, 2006 at 12:08 amThe aptly named Anvilhead screamed:
“We’re fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them here.” Where have I heard that before now…? And it’s been working so well…
Of course, Iran has been emboldened lately specifically because we destroyed and destabilized Iraq, the one buffer in the mideast they had against them. We’re reaping what we’ve sowed, and the future looks grim. Thanks George.

April 17th, 2006 at 3:05 amNo, of course having just one crazy redneck president saying “Nuke ‘em, and a third of the world’s oil while you are at it” is a lot better /sarcasm.
Yeah, which is precisely why you advocate killing a whole lot of them and taking their oil.
If America ceased its rhetoric, and you know, actually spoke to the Iranians, there might be no attack. As it is, we all know how well co-operation worked out for Iraq.
Yeah, it does, but frankly typing in all caps just makes you look like a retard. Admittedly so does the bulk of what you type, but making it all caps kind of just makes it that much more obvious.
April 17th, 2006 at 3:24 amI do not understand all of the ‘hoopla’ over Iran being able, MAYBE, to build a nuclear bomb in the next 10 TO 15 YEARS, while our Lunatic-in-Chief, GWB has access to 10,000 of them RIGHT NOW!!!
April 17th, 2006 at 6:17 amI get fed up of america bullying countries cause they have Nukes ,,,best thing is to let everybody have nukes and see america worry, wankers, leave iran alone mass murdering bullies stay on your own continent and get stuffed
April 17th, 2006 at 8:48 amThe London Times is a Murdoch owned newspaper.
