The WSJ’s Washington Wire says it may be Dan Senor, who was formerly spokesman for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. (A month ago, the Weekly Standard’s Fred Barnes said Senor “would be a perfect successor.”)
Wasn’t he indicted for something? There have been so many I can’t even keep track any more. No, maybe he’s the one who was described as grossly incompetent by his former staff. I forget! There are so many criminals and frauds in this administration I get them mixed up!!!
judging by his appearance on the colbert report i’d say his glib detachment from reality was pretty well honed as well as his effortless lying skills. he is perfect for the job.

- Must have a strong track record of manipulating issues and corrupting data
- Have a strong track record of publicly supporting right-wing talking points
- Must demonstrate the ability to convert solid evidence into questionable data
- Show the ability to bully press representatives into believing wrong is right, right is essential and underfunded, and underfunding is the fault of political opponents
- Must have the moral ambiguity to situationally disregard the law, constitution, and human rights, and question the patriotism of anyone who disagrees with these temporary changes in ethics
- Must be a white male
- Supply-side energy industry experience preferred
Considering Dan Senor is MARRIED to a member of the press, NBC’s Campbell Brown, it sounds too good to be true. Now the White House Press Corps can literally be IN BED with the Press Secretary!
NBC must retire Campbell Brown the way they retired Maria Schriver after Arnold took office. There can be no unbiased reporting in these situations.

I remember seeing Dan Senor giving press conferences in the early days of the war. One who appeared with him is Tori Clark who now appears on CNN. I recall Senor, Clark on the screen with Myers.
So the trio would be complete now: Myers has retired, but his family is situated within the White House, and he remains a public defender of Bush&Co. Clark does her regular appearances defending Bush&Co on CNN, and if Senor gets the job as PS for Bush&co. not only will he be able to use his glib talking skills on the press corps, he will share pillow talk with Campbell Brown who can repeat the same to the public.
Anyone think Rove had a voice in this?
Campbell Brown is not a member of the WH press corps. She is the Weekend Today show co-host. Her politics are also to the left, not the right (e.g., she often appeared on Chris Matthews show). Dan Senor did not steal $10m from Iraq, nor was he indicted, nor was he called out to be incompetent. I encourage you to critique politics, but bloggers need to get their facts right.
Of course Bolten will select Senor to replace McClellan. He has only been on the job a couple of days and he has already taken some of Rove’s power and given it to Joel Kaplan, whom he appointed Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. At this rate, the time Bolten is done, the entire White House will be Kosher and W will be serving as the Shabbat Goyim.
He must be a good liar if he’s been involed in Iraq.

April 18th, 2006 at 11:24 amHe will not be easily flustered like Scotty…..

April 18th, 2006 at 11:26 amSo they’ve replaced Bagdad BoB with, um, another Bagdad Bob. Great!
April 18th, 2006 at 11:27 amGooood God!
On the bright side, Senor is perfectly versed in the art of down is up, rain is sun. He believes it, so he won’t need to lie.
What better metaphor for a lying, thieving, administration than to add an incompetent fool to the stable of fools already in place.
Good luck Scott! Title suggestions for the upcoming book: “All the lies I have been forced to tell”

April 18th, 2006 at 11:29 amThey should just hire the old Iraqi INformation Minister and be done with it.

It’s really difficult to tell the difference from the job requirements.

Dan Senor, the same Dan Senor who got away with a kool 10M of freshly printed 100 dollar bills in Iraq?
I wish some reporter with guts would ask him about that!
