Well at least he isn’t up for a Supreme Court nomination. I love the fact they just quote anonymous posters without even giving the poster’s handle and then paint the whole blog as Lefty? Talk about cherry picking.
I don’t know who Tony Snow is, and I don’t really care.
All I know is, he’s going to work for George Bush, which doesn’t reflect too brightly on the dude’s intelligence given the fact it’ll leave a big nasty blemish on his resume. Besides, the Press Corps are ready for their evening feeding.
Ari was breakfast, Scotty was lunch, and this guy’s gonna be dinner.
I wonder who’d be desert??? Midnight snack???
First time I have ever heard Tony Snow, mostly because I refuse to allow myself to be propagandized by Fox/Saudi News.
My opinion: He ain’t ready to take the mantle of Chief Liar for the Bush misAdministration.
Sean Hannity would be a much better choice.
Think about it, they make loads of money, actually talk to their kids, prize individuality over just about anything else, don’t feel afraid of anything, say precisely what they want, are fully aware of American history (Wednesday on Thanksgiving anyone?) and actually, weirdest of all, like each other.
The Fox Family lack a whole lot of the virtues of the Adams Family.
FYI – they read someone’s comments about goons and nitwits, and another one about “McClellan, for all his faults, wasn’t an ass”.
I will say this. I’ve never heard this Snow guy before, and after listening 5 minutes into that clip, I guarantee I will never hear him again. He’s terrible. Not just terrible to listen to, but terrible at being glib, terrible at projecting himself as an authoritative source, and terrible at guiding a discussion in a profitable direction.
I’m more and more convinced that George Bush’s universe consists only of his immediate staff, immediate family, and regularly scheduled information feeds. For this amateurish smacktalker to get mentioned as a potential replacement – without immediate scoffing from the White House – screams that things are going from incompetent to worse on Pennsylvania Avenue.
As long as we’re on the subject, there is an ENTIRE WORLD out there filled with informed opinions. The fact that Snow’s idiots choose to quote us means they are defined by their opponents, not their ideas. Not exactly the quality you want your CinC to go looking for in key staff positions…
Keith Olberman is right. The press will have a field day, because it’s just been exposed that behind McClellan there is no one left at the White House who knows how to handle the media. Mishandling the news of replacing your own Press Secretary? WOW thats bad. That’s record-breaking bad.
I listened to a lot of it. It was uncomfortable to hear Snow and his Tonto try so hard NOT to sound riled and irked by the comments–Snow’s utterly empty laughter was so obviously emitted through teeth clenched with irritation (if not rising rage). What kills me to listen to them is that they take Fox News seriously (and, by extension, most likely, themselves), and are indignant that anyone would question the network’s bias, or lack thereof. They quoted Josh Marshall as saying “Isn’t TS leaving Fox News for the White House more of an interdepartmental transfer?” and the Tonto guy said “Oooh, that’s witty. These people on the left are really smart and clever.” And TS was just shaking his head in wonder at the idea that people see Fox News as the Pravda of the Republican Party. Man, these people are on psychologically shaky ground–Snow’s world-view will be shattered by the scrutiny he’ll get in that job!!!
22: I was WONDERING how the Far Wrong got their “culture of death” meme. So it was from the Addams Family!
26-27: Actually, I’m thinking the guy who has time to malign people on their web sites has less of a chance of being employed than the guy who posts & comments on his own. (then again, that could also be because RW sites tend not to allow comments.)
If he’s reading this, than I’ll write directly to him…..
Tony,
I’m encouraged that you are researching on your own. However, please have an open your mind as there are other issues involved that you may not know about. I won’t go into detail, but you would be more than wise to maintain a strict discipline and stay true to your personal values. I don’t doubt that having an opportunity to publicly support the President, may be a job of a life-time. But if you don’t follow your personal values close enough, it will reflect upon you personally later. Be careful Tony, there may be serious activities “in play†that you may not be aware of. It may only be later that they expose the many “why’s†behind the more serious questions plaguing our current and possibly past, Administration(s).
There are more than a few “things†that I’m aware of that come from being in a family for more than 26 years. They exposed me to the many “why’s” that I refer to. Life is about choices Tony, we make good ones and we make bad ones. Making too many bad ones for too long of a time means trouble later, especially when you get caught up in something that is difficult to get out of. Being honest and truthful is the only way out. The public isn’t as ignorant as they used to be and getting smarter all the time.
TONY: “wow all 21 of TP posters have been reconized by a major news network. Now maybe you can all get off the computer and get a job” – - Yo, Toe-NEEE, dig it…they now have things called “computers” at work places.” And how did YOU post, with two tin cans and a really long string? Pffffffft.
He must really have nothing to do if hes is bothering to worry about the “Michael Moore/Barbara Steisand” wing of the Democratic Party…
but I digress……
So……………..
We are on the verge of Nuclear War with Iran
Iraq cant form a government
Iraq is on the verge of a full blown Civil War
Rove/Libby indictments are coming any day now
Republicans cant pass a budget
Immigration is a hot button issue
Bush’s Approval Numbers from his own network are at 33 percent!!!
and all Tony Snow can talk about is 21 lousy “left wing liberal citizen commentors”..
Talk about changing the subject….You will do just fine as the White House Spokesboy
I actually would love for him to take it over because he has a real quick temper…the blowups would be legendary…..
Tony Snow laughs to himself, “people just don’t get it.” Snow’s the one that doesn’t get it: Tony, how about those war crimes? I might pay attention to the White House in 2008. Until then, turn up the volume.
Wow. He actually says we can’t prove that “apes turned into man.” Well, yeah. No where in evolution theory does it say that. But why would I expect him to know that.
wouldn’t it be just more cost effective to leave Snow on the fox payroll?………or is that the plan….remain on the fox payroll while getting a government check?
Thank God for men like Tony Snow! You progressives need to wake up and smell the coffee. I’d rather belong to the party of Limbaugh and Colture than Frankenstien and Mr. Excitement, Harry Reid. You people represent weakness, you are pathetic!
I ask if we still have the First and Fourth. It may well be time for you to honor exert your rights under the Second Amendment to carry your arms in a well-regulated state authorized militia–your local National Guard needs you. Please answer America’s call.
The culture of Colture and ‘Fox personalities’ has passed apogee and is on a burning re-entry path, and has a crushing date with destiny in November’s first week. The polls are but one omen to read. Gas prices, debt, war, criminal proceedings, are the longterm legacy of this worst of administrations ever.
The party of ’strength’ turns out to be ridden with collusion, criminality, lobbyist driven corruption, and continues to exhibit stark incompetence and display irrational ignorance. It has a heavy addiction to secrecy and hidden powers and shameless pandering to superstition and fundamentalist groups. Key White House staff have resigned, are resigning, or facing prosecution or a role as witness in ongoing investigations of treachery. This administration is bankrupting the Treasury to the tune of $9 Trillion and indebting the next generation to an indentured servitude over wars, and never properly attended to those suffering from the Hurricanes. FEMA remains a mess and the next Hurricane season is about here.
Worst, is the hiddeous bismirching of Lady Liberty with the rapid destruction of our civil liberties, unbridled domestic spying, passing of corporately written legislation against the true interest of the citizens, and in corruptly privatizing much of the public commons. It has misused the trust of Christians and patriots to further it’s own agenda for selfish and ignoble purposes. It spills the blood of our young over in unjust, terribly executed, and hyper-expensive wars.
This is the party of Dubious W. Bush, the Betrayer of Americans. Standing in support of this evil generation of political hacks, including Abramoff, Delay, Neys, etc. is to support moral weakness, corruption, deceit, and colluisive criminality. That’s not my America. You don’t really want to claim it for yours either. It’s just so galling to admit how bad it’s become that you can’t face or take the truth. The coffee is burnt, you need a security clearance to use the pot, there is stuff in the grounds we can’t identify and your phone is bugged when you try to get help on it.

He read our comments? I didn’t think he could read. Figured they just piped that nonsense in through his ear piece and he simply repeated it.
April 20th, 2006 at 1:58 pmJeez, they say one person called you an “ass,” and then sanctimoniously labels that “vitriol?!
The Party of Coulter and Limbaugh?! Cripes, what morons.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:03 pmWell at least he isn’t up for a Supreme Court nomination. I love the fact they just quote anonymous posters without even giving the poster’s handle and then paint the whole blog as Lefty? Talk about cherry picking.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:05 pmDamn, I can’t listen to it. Any hope for a transcript?
Hi, Tony! Idiot.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:09 pmI’m hurt. I sent up a prayer for him & he didn’t even read it on the air.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:10 pmTony doesn’t read our comments, some poor schmuck of an intern may read them. God knows we did better than call him an ass yesterday.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:13 pmLike Tony says, ” This is Awesome”….let the fun begin!!!!!
April 20th, 2006 at 2:16 pmWhat is the over and under for the first time Tony says” That is part of an ongoing investigation”
April 20th, 2006 at 2:18 pmI like the part where Tony’s friend reads the Media Matters quotes complete with where the quote marks are, and Tony still denies ever saying it.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:21 pmCome on – someone had to have called him something worse than an ass! Let’s call it like it is. He’s an assHOLE!
April 20th, 2006 at 2:22 pmI love how he tried to say that Media Matters had it wrong on Plame. He went fullblown weaselwordsmith.

April 20th, 2006 at 2:32 pmOr as it would’ve been called in the 1930’s Germany “The Project for the new German Century”.
I don’t know who Tony Snow is, and I don’t really care.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:33 pmAll I know is, he’s going to work for George Bush, which doesn’t reflect too brightly on the dude’s intelligence given the fact it’ll leave a big nasty blemish on his resume. Besides, the Press Corps are ready for their evening feeding.
Ari was breakfast, Scotty was lunch, and this guy’s gonna be dinner.
I wonder who’d be desert??? Midnight snack???
Olberman will have a field day with ’snow job’.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:34 pmDon’t be so hard on him…..
He’s probably just had his nose custom fitted to Karl’s a$$hole.
I’d be a little edgy too.
But he’ll get used to it.

I wonder if he penned any of the disparaging ones himself!
;-)
April 20th, 2006 at 2:43 pmThe previous post should read “way too much *fun*.” Whoops.
April 20th, 2006 at 2:45 pmFor all Tony Snow knows, these posts could ALL be from one person.

Well Fox News Radio refers to him as “Fox News Anchor Tony Snow”, heard that very phrase yesterday.
