I fear if they come down on Rove today, we'll see something spectacular to take media attention off of this. Just how spectacular is a scarry thought given the track record of this band of criminals. I just can't imagine they'll leave us to stew all weekend on Rove being a criminal without an attempt at a major diversion.
He needs to be detained immediately, when the indictments come down! Is that possible, and how could it be done, to try to limit the damage to this country that he still has up his sleeve!?!?!
I remember that when Karl Rove called Matt Cooper to talk about welfare reform (Rove's story), Rove supposedly told him something and said, "This will all be declassified soon." Either this statement is an accurate reflection of the facts or it isn't. If it is not accurate, then forget the rest. If it is accurate, then there is evidence that Karl Rove knowingly revealed classified information to someone not entitled to receive it. So, Karl Rove violated the law. Simple as that.
Karl is setting aside his white house duties to focus on the nov. elections. Yeah fucking right!!!!!!! Pig face is going to be indicted. I really think the Plame leak will be the scandal among the thousands of scandals that finally bring down this cabal of criminials. Who the hell would want piggy campaigning for them? Fat head is toxic!!!!
Why does this happen on a Friday? Next week the good for nothing congress come back from their vacation. We will have alot of spin on this from the right wing nut.
The diversion away from the Rovian menace might well be the (snicker) "Ethanol Crisis" as gasoline prices are over $4.00 / gallon, and unavailable in some places. Refineries are struggling my A$$.....
Some clues as well may be:
Where is Dumbya at present?
Where is Chainee at present?
Watch out. Rove focusing on the elections means we can expect the nastiest, dirtiest tricks. Rove knows his chances of going to prison increase dramatically if the Dems take over the House. There's nothing he won't be willing to try - swiftboating and whisper campaigns, not to mention worse. Calling Democratic "get-out-the-vote" centers to jam their phone lines will look like tiddlywinks compared to this election. Mark my words.
Folks if the VP or the President declassified Valeri Plame's stautus the only thing Karl's guilty of is perjury or obstruction of justice or both. Not to be little this but, think about it : If you were one of the other 5 journalists and were told by Karl Rove about anything wouldn't you have to really consider his motives? What if the only way to check on her status was to call the CIA, like Bob Novak did because he wasn't afraid of any investigation because he knew she was outed by the VP or POTUS. Bob Woodward had to know of this declasssification thing. Why was he so cavalier on Larry King? Just telling someone she was in Who's Who wouldn't be enough. I think Scooter is just covering for his boss. Your thoughts please.
Speaking of Rove & elections, yesterday a conservative columnist (national - can't recall the name) in one of our local papers wrote about McCain's probable 2008 run. He made reference to the 2000 run and said that McCain's bid turned sour after he made some negative comments about Jerry Falwell in S. Carolina. What he conveniently left out was the effect of Rove painting him as mentally unstable.
I sure hope that Shuster and Co. aren't going to let us down. Kind of like Lawrence O'Donnell and the entire media did back in the end of summer when they tried to nail Rove as "the one" only to hang their head in shame while the case turned over to Libby.
You don't think Bush will pardon his architect, his brain, the true decider-in-chief? He will, because Karl knows where ALL the bodies are buried (even the ones Bush wouldn't dirty his hands with). There is no way Karl will allow himself to go down. He'll make a deal first; Cheney should definitely watch his back.
I think Pig Face will squeel like the pig that he is if he is indicted. Just like all of the unethical republican scum bags that have been cornered in the last year, he will protect his big fat butt if it means bringing down Bush, Cheney and Rummy. I say the sooner we get these guys cornered the better. I am so tired of watching them crap all over our country, killing our troops and wrecking our name for their political gains.
Kind of like Lawrence O’Donnell and the entire media did back in the end of summer when they tried to nail Rove as “the one†only to hang their head in shame while the case turned over to Libby.
Libby is just a stepping stone. He perjured himself to protect higher ups. Keep dreaming.
shhhhh... keep it down folks. uncle dick get's cranky if he's awakened from his nap and all of this excitement is going on!! tee-hee i love the smell of indictment in the afternoon. smells like..... impeachment!
why is no one sourcing this to the sidney blumenthal article that appeared before anyone else wherein he opines the exact argument a day before these others????
YOU GOTTA HEAR THIS!
just heard on randi rhodes show - earlier this week she interviewed the psy.doc. (franks) who wrote a book - bush on the couch (?) - VERY INTERESTING - she will play parts of that interview in "hour 3" of her show - coming up soon - her show runs 3-7eastern time...
sorry i'll miss it today, but i heard the original and it was enlightening, to say the least...
yep, bush is psycho - you'll find out why!
gotta go - have a great weekend all!
would someone here at TP please tell me who your progressive hope for the future is? all these calls for Bush/Cheney impeachment still makes Dennis Hasert in charge. So who is your favorite for 2008? just a con asking questions.
If (and it's a big IF) the grand jury returns an indictment, it will be announced at the very last minute, at the very end of the day today.
The purpose of releasing announcements at the last minute on Fridays is so that any articles written about it in MSM newspapers will not make it to the front page of the Saturday news papers -- which are already set-up (Saturday being the one day of the week that newspapers are LEAST read).
So, if the indictment does come down (which I doubt), look for it in the last ten pages of tomorrow's newspapers.
#46 James, seems your the only one with a candidate. I thought I'd be overrun. While I don't agree with Feingolds politics, Ya gotta admire a politician who beleives in what he says. To many yak out of both sides of their ...er.....mouth. thanks for the reply

Feingold, Warner, and a few governers are lining up as the best candidates. H. Clinton and Gore are hated too much by the Beltway. She is running low profile right now, but every time she speaks in public, the spitting and sneering come out. Same with Al. He's got ideas and expresses them eloquently, but the consensus at Beltway junior high is snicker and gossip whenever he speaks. You'll never learn anything about what he actually says unless you go looking for it.
Tick tock. It is 9:22PM EST. Guess it's time to pack away the party balloons and go home folks. Again. That's what ya get for listening to David Shuster.
I think you are making too muvh of Rove, he's as lame as bush and cheney, besides who would believe what Rove Said?
The people here on this Blog have not worried about ROVE for months, yet the Bush Ratings have plummeted, as well as Cheneys.
Really who cares about Rove? He's been dead [politically] for some time, in case you haven't noticed BUSH's ratings have dropped dramatically, ROVE was capped months ago =)

April 21st, 2006 at 1:54 pmWasn't it always Rove that was behind all the spectacular distractions in the first place?
Has anyone been appointed to the post of Distracter to fill in for Rove?
And finally what will the Preznut do without his "brain"?
Interesting (and scary) times indeed.
