Kirsten is building quite a strong campaign and her’s exactly the kind of race we need to win in order to pick up the 15 seats we need to regain control of the House.

12% think he is doing all right but only insofar as he can muster public support of his disastrous policies. And 10% jest that he is the best president since Bill Clinton.
We can all feel validated by his sinking popularity, but what does that get us?
Are we any closer to ousting him? Are we any closer to halting his crusade to rule the world? Are we any closer to rescuing America before he ruins it entirely?
I will hold on for dear life during the next 1000 days, as I hope to see him and his administration being tried for war crimes. But even if that comes to pass, what irreversible damage will he have wrought iin desperation during his last throes?
How not very embarrassing it is to have a Chief Executive with an approval rating lower than Michael Jordan’s shoe size.

She saw that our government was acting not only illegally and immorally, but hypocritically, too. She felt it was important to expose our government for the wrongdoers that they are. I really get sick of hearing people say that revealing this kind of classified information is harmful to our national security. That’s just plain bullshit! Our national security would suffer greater harm if people found out we were breaking international law. Why is exposing the wrongdoing more harmful than the wrongdoing itself? We (the USA) were breaking the law and we were denying it and accusing anyone who said otherwise of being unpatriotic. Then when the truth came out and, as is so often the case, it didn’t match what President Bush and his people were saying, their reaction was to arrest the messenger.
This president deserves no respect whatsoever. I have more respect for President Bush’s desk than I do for him as a person, but only because the desk is in the Oval Office.

It was really pathetic watching him talk about gas prices. He was so dismissive, that’s the way it is, they are going higher, too bad, I haven’t a clue what to do about it. He was totally out of his league. But why should we be surprised, he hasn’t had to really work for anything his entire life. He is not the man to be running this great country.
The whole thing with our energy situation is so maddening. If our politicians, yes, Democrats and Republicans, took the initiative beginning in the 70’s we might have alternatives now. It is like this country can’t do anything these days unless it becomes critical mass, the tipping point. We don’t have a plan whether it is Iraq war exit, healthcare, education, environment, energy, retirement accts (can’t just have one, we have to have one created whenever politicians feel like creating one), we just meander along and when we hit a rock we throw money and contractors at it and maybe it’ll work.

Nice try Mary. Where exactly did you see that? It doesn’t appear that the percentages have changed beyond the margin of error and CNN states that it is basically unchanged from August. If you look at the PDF version, it seems the numbers have held relatively steady for quite some time. Does it make you ‘LOL’ when you see that the republicans are hovering around 38-40% vs. the dems at 50-53%?

I agree with you that this administration will do all they can to discredit her and totally denounce her as a person without any regard for the rightness of what was done (whether it was actually her or not). This is how this administration prioritizes things. If they’re doing something illegal, then it is immoral to expose them. They think that to oppose them is to oppose America. They remind me of DeGaulle and his “I am the state” remark. Maybe the context isn;t correct, but the remark sure fits the Bush people like a glove. They are putting themselves higher than the offices which they occupy. And for them, disloyalty to the person holding the office is worse than disloyalty to the office, even if that person has already displayed more disrespect and disloyalty to that officve than anything we’ve ever done.

Well, Carter tried to address this when we got hit with the 1st embargo, but Bush-Reagan took care of that when they came to power. Bush (Reagan was , of course, clueless) dismantled the Department of Energy and negotiated cheap oil with his buds in Saudia Arabia. “Morning in America”. Now we have Dimson and “Evening in America”. We lost 35 years because there was too much money to be made by Bush Republicans to keep us dependent on ME oil.

They will never go after any of the oil industry CEOs. You never bite the hand that lines your pockets.
Gas/oil prices will magically plummet back down to around$2.00/gal. These corrupt creatures will pat each other on the back and say “See, what good boys we are?” All in time for the November polls.
They still will not have fixed anything beyond another election.

BushCo wants to attack another country that is no threat to us, based on some far in the future hypothetical situation they have chosen to offer up, as reason for needing to go to it NOW RIGHT NOW!!! They want Nukes! They want to build them! They will use them on us!!
Iran has done nothing wrong. As signatories of the NPT, they are allowed to develop the components for the production of Nuclear Energy. It is legal. The U.S. are not signatories of the NPT at this time. George W. Bush declined to do so. Because he wanted to be free to call for the creation of a brand new nuke that he can use to destroy underground “Bunkers”, in countries that HE has decided may be a threat to the U.S., true or not. We then become the very thing that he believes Iran to be. How does this make sense?? To me, HE is the one we should all be afraid of, and I am. The Congress needs to take the keys away from him NOW!!! He is far too unstable, and too prone to acting irrationally to be “The Decider” about using nukes. I hope the UN would be willing to use a ‘choke chain’ on him, just in case. HELP!!!!

Bush was decrying the “leak of classified informationâ€, he’s the one who was behind the whole thing. It defies logic how he can claim that he declassified the information while at the same time crying over the “leak of classified informationâ€.

They’d always pull a “But Clinton!” and say that at one time his approval rating was 37. Bush’s approval rating has been below that for months now. The Republicans would also fail to say that Clinton left office as one of the most popular presidents ever with approval ratings of 60+ percent. No way in Hell does Bush leave office with numbers even close to that.
