As surely as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, James Baker III reliably appears whenever George W. Bush finds himself in trouble. As the New York Times reports, the growing Iraq quagmire is no exception. Baker, the Secretary of State under the President’s father, will lead a team to generate new ideas for hopefully salvaging the American adventure in Iraq and with it, extricate George W. Bush from another fine mess.
Can someone tell me what the bad vibes are about Snow? Given that the revenue flow was cut with the tax rollback and the deficeit spending for 5 years, I think he’s done a fair job to get the economy where it is. He’s not going to force down the price of gas, but then neither will Carlos, so what will the change accomplish?
Don’t worry, Ed, you’re not the first one to get the “red-a$$” over the “anchor” label. A number of trolls have tried this particular calumny, and are now smarting over the pounding they’ve gotten.
