This is one of the Left’s most faulty, most insincere arguments. First, we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq under separate sets ofd unique circumstances. As it happens, those circumstances included the common factor that the ties of both countries with al-Quaed made them uniquely threatening to American interests. Second, the logical result of this argument is support for more invasions, not fewer invasions. I doubt you serioulsy support the idea of invading Iran or North Korea. No, you would be outraged by such actions, even if they clearly were in America’s best interests.

I’ve got news for you: the progs WERE in charge – during the 1993 WTC bombing, the 1995 OKC bombing, the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, the 1998 OBL fatwa, and the 2000 USS Cole bombing. The Progs were o-for-6 on those terrorist attacks, whereas the Bush administration policy has prevented any domestic terror attacks for 55 consecutive months. No Democratic president during the age of terrorism (1972 to present) can make that claim. That’s why there have been only two of them.

A. You cite no evidence that I am particularly religious, or that I ever tried to “force” any particular religious views on you or anyone else.

B. Let’s see, that would be the wars in which we liberated 50 million Afghans and Iraqis, destroyed murderous regimes who used REAL torture as instruments of internal domestic terror, and who used bribery, kickbacks and embezzlement as tools of a foreign policy designed to provide aid to the terrorist enemies of America.

C. I want our wartime policy to promote the saving of lives – even if, in some cases, that means depriving a few terrorists of central heat and air conditioning. That’s not torture, mate, and neither is holding a gun to a terrorist’s head to find out where the next IED will go off. That’s called wartime interrogation, and there’s nothing wrong with aving lives that way.

Give me a break! If you progs had been in charge on 9/11 there would have been no effectiuve response to the terrorists – just more of the same failed “law enforcement approach” that gave us all those attacks in the 19990s and the “Gorelick wall” between the FBI and the CIA.
