VIDEO: O’Reilly Attacks Newspaper Editor Who Died Four Years Ago
On April 15th, the Syracuse Post-Standard published a satirical editorial which made a passing reference to the sexual harassment suit Bill O’Reilly settled in 2004. O’Reilly was not amused.
Soon after the editorial appeared, he added the Post-Standard to his list of “Media Operations That Traffic in Defamation.†O’Reilly escalated the fight (which he alone is waging) one step further on Monday’s edition of The Factor. During his Talking Points Memo, he put the pictures of Stephen Rogers and Mark Libbon up on the screen, called them “villians,” and guided viewers to their office contact information “should you want to speak with them.” Watch the clip HERE:
But SweetJesusIHateBillOReilly noticed an important detail: Stephen Rogers is deceased. (He passed away in November 2002 at the age of 90. That’s his picture above.) O’Reilly meant to blast his son and current publisher of the Syracuse Post-Standard, Stephen A. Rogers.

Better yet he should have to publicly admit is a sexual harasser and has not business criticing anyone except people like Rush Limbaugh who is a habitual drug addict who doctor shops when his prescriptions run out. These guys make me look like a great guy in my time. If I were alive, I’d put them on my Communist list and have them blackballed for life for being soo stupid.

I can only assume that question was meant rhetorically…it should be more than apparent than anyone who conducts himself the way that O’Reilly does (such as was brought to light in the sexual harassment case) has no sense of conscience whatsoever.
And just for the record…speaking as someone who’s employed as a researcher (and no, Bill — I’m not interested in a job offer), the person who should really be ashamed is the person who supplies the background material for O’Reilly’s program because he or she is to all appearances lying down on the job and not worth the money they’re getting paid. This is, after all, not the first time that factual errors have been reported on O’Reilly’s program.

O’Reilly has said that if you’re gonna smear someone, you owe it to them to do it to their face (or words to that effect). So I guess he’ll have to die so he can face the guy he’s smearing. But he’s a hypocrite because he refuses to invite David Brock onto his show for a debate (which he knows he’ll lose and look bad in the process.)

If that were true then more people would watch Olbermann on MSNBC. Olbermann, the liberal, has 25% the viewers. He attacks O’Reilly constantly. So, it’s not the fact that BO is attacking someone because he has perceived them as enemy figures out of proportion to their real threat, or that he uses his HUGE bully pulpit to stir up citizens to harrass them.
