Funny, I think I said that same line in another forum. Agreed. These people aren’t capable of humanitarian anything, unless it is their very own ass on the line, and then they’re all about ‘the people’. Yeah, sure.

Well, sure there are. But they don’t have any measurable oil for Dubya and Cheney (or the other Republicans in charge) to drool over.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with a peace, love and understanding – optimistic attitude and perspective – as long as it comes with a reality factor that everyone wants to play nice or get along.

And if the Iraqi people do not value or want our help any longer (if ever in some cases), I think we have no need to still be over there. Quit forcing our ‘help’ upon those who don’t want it. Personally, I don’t think that is necessarily cold – just realistic.

We seem to forget that it is a very different culture with very different wants. Just because George Bush, an egocentric imbecile, wants something doesn’t mean everyone else wants it too. Stop forcing your way on me.

We shouldn’t have gone over there to begin with. The Iraqi people were not in the middle of a Revolution attempting to seek democracy. If they weren’t disgruntled enough to fight for the freedom, then who are we to force it upon them?

There are worse situations (Darfur and Cambodia come to mind) where we could have been more effective than Iraq. After we leave, in three, five, maybe ten years, they will eventually go back to being in a patriarchal, militant, violent country. Why? Because that is their culture. It is their religion. It is their way.

Theres nothing wrong with being cold(besides, from what I’ve seen women don’t have inner warmth to begin with :) Some one has to asses the realities of a situation instead of going all care-bear with the wouldn’t it be nice if we could all just get along world view.

You have some interesting fantasy female role models there Tundra… Unfortunately, besides the shaving and bathing, I’m no where close to 7′ tall… : )

Pretty soon well have you saying our U.N Ambassador should go in there with his Ipod on eating chips with his feet up until someone else decides to step up and actually do something.

I am and have been against this war. I think we should leave. We’re killing innocent people. If the Iraqis do not want us there, then why are we risking the lives of our soldiers who I would bet joined the military to protect our country, not people who don’t want them there? If that makes me cold, then well, consider it one of the things you don’t like about me. I’m sure there are others. No one is 100% good, not even me : )

We were supposed to be liberating the Shiites yet we threaten the Iranian Shiites with Nukes.

Republicans are soooooo stupid. I’m glad the rest of the world has more brains than them.
