VIDEO: Feingold Slams ‘Pundits and Consultants’ Afraid to Stand Up on Terrorism Issues»

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI), in a speech yesterday to the National Press Club:

The consultants and the pundits and others will tell you…that it is dangerous to let there be any real light between our position and the White House’s position, or else you’ll get called soft on terrorism. You already hear people saying that the Michael Hayden nomination will be a great opportunity for the White House to show the Democrats are soft on terrorism. And you bet the pundits in this town will somehow suggest that this, too, just like my censure resolution, will cause the President’s numbers to shoot up. You remember that happening, right? It didn’t happen at all, but that’s what they’re gonna say, but it’s not right.

Watch it:

Feingold is right. He announced his plans to introduce a censure resolution on March 12. President Bush’s Gallup rating at the time was 37 percent. Today it’s 31 percent.

Read the full transcript below:

The greatest passion is for us to stand up on the critical post-9/11 issues, from Iraq, to the USA PATRIOT Act, to the President violating the law by authorizing illegal domestic wiretapping. The President likes to say, in response to this sort of concern, that some of us have a pre-9/11 perspective. Many Democrats and others around this country want us to point out that the White House actually has a pre-1776 perspective and that we ought to have the guts to point that out.

Now, you don’t hear this stand-up language here in this town. The consultants and the pundits and others will tell you these positions are “losers” — I’ve heard that literal language for this — and that it is dangerous to let there be any real light between our position and the White House’s position, or else you’ll get called soft on terrorism.

I take a different view, with a major qualification. My view is that we should appeal to basic American values in the post-9/11 era by saying we will stand up to this administration’s mistakes in strategy in the fight against terrorism, and that we will stand up this administration’s unnecessary assault on the rule of law in the guise of the fight against terrorism.

He is the only politician in Washington willing to stand up to Bush. I wonder which country he will disappear to.

  7. drtomaso Says:

People have to come to understand that you can be as hard on terrorism as you dare, and it wont make it go away. Terrorism is the only tactic left to an enemy that has no hope of sucess militarily. Militarism is not a solution to terrorism- good intelligence, good, consistent foreign policy and open and fair economic involvment is.

To demonstrate the veracity of my claim, think of this: which nation had the most effective military in the world on september 10, 2001? Who has the most effective military force in the world today? Is that nation more or less safe between 2001 and now?

  8. Lily Says:

If I ask real nice like, do you think he’ll marry me?
    Lily Feingold….hmmm.

  9. unbelievable Says:

A classic line from Jerry Maguire:

“That’s how you become great man - by putting your balls on the line.”

  10. Jules Says:

Sorry Lily, you’ll have to fight me for him!

  11. Gerald Gibson Says:

You mean we can be 1776 style patriots (WE THE PEOPLE) and still not be pro-Osama? Someone better call up Rush and let him know. Being pro-Constitution and anti-King is pro-AlQeada according to the reichwing… Last I heard from some of the trolls here George Washinton and Ben Franklin are pre-911….

  12. drtomaso Says:

Incidently, Russ shouldnt have gone for censure. It was doomed to failure. Since it was just as doomed, but arguably more appropriate, he should have pushed for impeachment.

  13. Gerald Gibson Says:

    Comment by drtomaso

Hell the way the democrats acted about the censure they probably would have 1) Wet their pants and then 2) Impeached Feingold

  14. Jules Says:

I thought he did not go for impeachment because that had to begin in the House.

  15. drtomaso Says:

  22. drtomaso Says:

One other con law question: is there a statute of limitations on perjury, ie lying to congress, and other high crimes and misdemeanors? I really don’t like the idea of any of the current administration officials getting off, and fear we may only take the majority in one side of the congress this year. Justice may have to wait til they are out of office due to term limits.

  23. thot's Says:

if i may, i am relatively certain that impeachment of the bush crime family can occur after 1.9.09… and, if the feingold administation wishes to investigate violations of the war crimes act 18 USC 2441 or any of a list now approaching violations of twenty statutes and constitutional provisions, that would be possible.

similarly, henry kissinger could be prosecuted for his war-crimes under us law. with any hope, his aging carcass would get rolled into a federal pen so that he could die there. one can only hope….

    peace.

You can have him It’s Joe Wilson who I think is rather sexy. Yeah. yeah, he has a wife too. Sorta responsible for catapulting him into the limelight, I know, I know. Just something very attractive about the man. Could be the fact that he is one. And not another pants wetting little boy (like our King and his his entire posse (which is similar to a word that best describes them :).

  43. Shannon Says:

Personally, I’m stuck on Viggo Mortensen…! Oh Baby!

  45. Jules Says:

Unbelievable - Valarie Plame is hot! Did you see her at the WH correspondents dinner? She looks about 20 years younger than JW. Although I would have to agree with you. There is something very sexy about a man who will stand up to these a**holes in Washington!

  46. trueblue Says:

  47. dsm Says:

Freedom begins at home! Not that the iraqies are really free…

  48. Jules Says:

Does anyone really believe Hillary will run? I’m thinking no. I think she is acting as a distration to the repugs. The only way they can take her senate seat away is if she died, and even then I doubt a repug would win. So, they spend money to try to rip her, they have less money and time to go after the true candidate.

    Hey, a girl can dream!!!

  49. RSchewe Says:

I just saw Carville on the Situation Room with JC Watts guest hosted by John Roberts. Carville took the bait. He was asked if Democrats would lose the warrantless wiretap debate after John Cornyn was quoted challenging Dems to bring it on. He said yes, Dems would lose that debate, but would likely not focus on that issue.

Russ Feingold’s saw it coming and he was right. You can tally up Carville as one of the Dem advisors/pundits that are ready to crack under pressure. Dianne Feinstein seems to have joined that camp already as well.

  50. Zookeeper Says:

    #44 & #46 - I raise you one George Clooney.

  51. Zookeeper Says:

#54 - Damn, I hope they don’t try to run Hillary. I’m sure she’s a fine woman, but she’s not the best we have.

  52. Marie Says:

I saw Feingold’s appearance yesterday and the Q&A afterward. The guy is good. He has the right ideas and the right answers.
I suppose he would be crucified by the right and by the press if he were to run for prez, but frankly, we would be fortunate if he were in the White House.
There are a lot of good Democrats out there, but if the Dems focus on Hillary, we will regret it.
BTW, What’s this with Murdoch and Hillary?

  53. Zookeeper Says:

#57 - I suppose he would be crucified by the right and by the press if he were to run for prez

Oh no, does my baby have a flaw?

  54. G.W.SuperChrist Says:

If Hillary gets nominated it would be no different than Bush Jr. being nominated by the Republicans… we dont need no stinking family held politics… not to mention she tried puffing her chest out like Bush Jr. and being pro Iraq war instead of standing up for reason and truth which dictates no wars based on lies.

    Comment by Gerald Gibson — May 9, 2006 @ 4:42 pm

I agree - I also think that she is completely insincere… her opinion - like Kerry’s - is given to her every morning by a political advisor.

Besides - Hillary is the republican wet dream candidate… all the conservative pundits ever talk about is Hillary… they know that she is like red meat to the rabid republican base… even if they hate the other guy they will come out to vote against Hillary.

  55. Smedley Says:

The impending opening of the Iranian International Oil Bourse (IOB), set to commence trading next week on the island nation of Kish, strongly increases the chances of an imminent nuclear American-Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear and financial facilities. The electronic oil bourse, much discussed by terrorism expert Webster Tarpley, appears ready to launch in the coming weeks or even days. Because it will offer oil in euros, it may trigger the rapid collapse of the U.S. dollar.

  56. War4Sale Says:

Why is Feingold the only member of the United States Senate with a functional pair of testicles?!

  57. unbelievable Says:

Jules - I couldn’t pick Valerie Plame out of a crowd. I don’t notice her (or many other women really) so much, because her husband is hard to stop staring at. :)

Zoo - you can have George Clooney too. An amazing politician when we seem to have no real ones behaving as they were elected to do. But he just doesn’t do it for me. Don’t know why.

  58. Krazny Says:

The republicans could run Charles Manson against Hillary, and the rabid base would vote for Manson.

I can see there slogan now

“why vote for the lesser evil”

  59. Jules Says:

Hillary used to. Before she sold out. The media has started callingher the Democratic contender. We’re gonna need Al Gore and Feingold to run as Independents. Al has enough money. He doesn’t need no stinking Corporate America campaign contributions.

  61. G.W.SuperChrist Says:

I suppose he would be crucified by the right and by the press

    Comment by Marie — May 9, 2006 @ 4:49 pm

He might - but I think that he has a better chance than most people give him.

If the Democratic Party ever pulls its head out of its ass - we will run someone with conviction.

If we learn nothing else from George Bush we should learn that you can win the presidency with absolutely no qualifications as long as people think that you are sincere and have convictions.

We need to run somebody who seems less rehearsed and more sincere… the policies will take care of themselves.

  62. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

    Zookeeper,

Do I have to tell Jane that she has to fight you over George Clooney now, too? :)

I’m glad I don’t drink coffee or soda -or I’d have a rather sticky monitor right now. Hilarious!

  64. terry Says:

Realistically and barring major events-Hillary gets sick, Bush bombs Iran, a major terrorist attack on US soil, U.S. declares bankruptcy and defaults on government securities, the whole world economy collapses, gasoline tops out over $10 per gallon etc, the only person who can stop Hillary from getting the Democratic nomination is Gore. I have had my differences with Feingold–he did vote to impeach Clinton-but I have to say he is one of the few politicians who seems to have some principles and is willing to stand by those principles even when they are not real popular. As such I will likely send him a few bucks if he makes the run and vote for him if he is still in the race when my primary occurs. As noted, I do not see him stopping Hillary and if he somehow did that–or she decided not to make the run-I think it would be very hard for him to win at the top of the ticket. I do think Gore/Feingold would be a wonderful ticket if it won.

  65. Massachusetts Liberal Says:

. She can draw the attention of the followers of Traitor Rove away from a more viable candidate.

Here’s the GOP’s record on fighting terrorism. They suck.

They just use it as a rhetorical device. Bush has done nothing but help international terrorism since day one. If he worked for bin Laden, he couldn’t have done worse.

There you have him…..the one and only politician in America with the integrity, balls, and courage to say what is true and right. The sad part is, the dim witted public wants to be pandered to. They prefer strong and wrong. You must lie to them and pretend to have a plan or pretend to be a leader. If the MSM went after Dubya and his gang as they did Clinton, there would be no end to the corruption and scandal. It would get reported. As it is in America these days, Jeff Guckert, pedophilia and the like get a huge pass.

    Comment by cats are flyfishn

I was going to vote for Dean not Kerry… but then the “aristocracy” democrats chose Kerry and Dean got sidelined which was BS because you actually had young people excited… how the hell can you get excited about Kerry? I was totally let down and just voted for him cause I wanted to see Bush go. Dean would have smacked bush up in front of the world instead of Kerrys “rich mans politeness” BS….

Gore, Finegold, Dean and maybe a couple others by 08 would make me happy, heck, even a good independent or green at this point. If the Dems pick her to run against Mckaine she might win. The only good I can see coming out of her being president is having Bill help run things. I wonder if the repugs are thinking of moving Rice into position. Ya never know about these fools…….Blessings

  85. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

Like the good Senator, I am mystified by the reluctance of people to speak up and tell the truth, anmely that President George W. Bush is a terrible president, by any reasonable standard. But if you want to point to some of the unreasonable standards that they use, he still leaves almost everything to be desired.

Has he made us any safer since 9-11? Not really. It’s more dangerous to be an American overseas now than it was before 9-11. And the president’s handling of “The War on Terror” has not helped one bit.

When was the last time you thought about capturing Osama bin Laden? I’m sure it was a lot more recently than Mr. “The Truth is I just don’t think about him that much” Bush. And it can’t be that they haven’t gotten him yet because they can’t find him. Former DCIA Porter Goss was kind enough to tell us that he had a “pretty good idea” of exactly where bin Laden is.

Are you one of the lucky millionaires who got huge tax breaks because of the president’s ridiculous fiscal policies? (Note to Bush supporters: It’s a lie that the tax breaks helped the economy. They like to claim that, but it isn’t true.) Well, if you’re reading this and you’re not Mr. George Soros himself (how do you do, sir?), then you aren’t one of the ones who benefitted.

Then there’s the whole issue of the signing statements (which technically carry no legal weight) in which the president essentially says, “I’ll sign this bill into law. And my oath says that I must faithfully execute this law if I do sign it. But I’m going to add a ’signing statement’ that says, in effect, I really veto this bill, unless I want to enforce it on someone I don’t like.” He has NOT fulfilled the oath of office he took twice. He should be impeached twice for it.

That is being ignored in the press, but it worries me very much. Also, Bush&Co dissed the letter from Iran BEFORE they read it. I like Feingold and I’d be happy if he were president, BUT he has been married and divorced a couple of times and the pious right wing will enjoy that; the press will have great fun at his expense for his outspokenness against Bush, also, I think he is Jewish, so that would be a first.
I think he has the strength to stand up to them, but they will be merciless. I hate that part of politics, and it gets worse every election.

  93. james risser Says:

    #98

if you are interested in reading the letter, it has recently been made avaiable at le monde i have taken the letter and put it on fcuk bush if you prefer to read it on black instead of white…

i am reading through it to find a SINGLE false word…haven’t found one yet!!!

oh, i must add this to those readers who can’t read or those that might belief that la monde is a liberal rag, always gets things wrong, can’t be trusted, and are content with waiting for fox or the whitehouse.gov to tell them what the letter says: please do. leave me alone! i don’t care what you think. shoo!!!

  94. Zookeeper Says:

#99 - Ah. Well, the right’s great god, Reagan, was divorced, so that won’t hold water. Being Jewish might be something to the fundies, but criticizing it would be walking the razor’s edge.

Whew! My baby can handle it!

  95. james risser Says:

if anyone at tp is about, may i suggest a thread containing the iranian letter? kthanks…

  96. Zookeeper Says:

#102 - Damn, that’s a long letter. I’ll have to read it at home. I agree, James, TP should do a thread on this.

  97. james risser Says:

    #104

thanks, zoo… it is quite long, but, it is quite good, really…

oh, tp never listens to my suggestions, but, maybe they will listen to you!

    peace.

  98. Stupid Republicans Says:

Yep, Fiengold has my vote. Feingold scares the hell of out the stupid republicans. They know he will be the next President of the United States.

  99. Progressaurus Rex Says:

feingold - i like what he has to say. maybe he’d be a good candidate. but the dems won’t nominate him.

i fear we’re on a collision course with hillary. she’d be an awful candidate. i wouldn’t vote for her (i’d go back to 3rd party choice).

please, please run, gore. even if you have to tell the dems to suck it and run as an independent.

imagine if hillary won the dem nom and gore decided to run as an independent… and some republican darling like giuliani won the rep nom and mccain decided to ALSO run as an independent…

then you’d have clinton vs gore vs giuliani vs mccain! talk about a trainwreck (but also probably a good thing for u.s. elections overall) - imagine the debates… what fun…

  100. Nate Says:

I just finished a piece on this prick, General Hayden.

    http://getintheirface.blogspot.com/ 2006/ 05/ general-turd-blossom.html

    Have a read!

  101. Marie Says:

I printed the letter - thanks for doing that - I can’t say as I found anything objectionable in it. It is a commentary on the conditions existing in the world today.

  102. Marie Says:

Isn’t it too bad that our nation’s leaders chose the un-diplomatic approach to the letter from Iran (I have to practice on how to spell his name)?
Whatever the purpose of the letter, to disrespect an overture from another leader is not a wise step in diplomatic avoidance of nuclear war.
June 2, we are testing a bunker busting bomb in Nevada, hoping to learn how much neclear power we need to blast Iran’s underground facilities. That’s the kind of diplomacy Bush likes.
Yet, the boy-king said again today that he (and the US) prefers to use diplomacy.
    Coulda fooled me.

  103. Marie Says:

of course I meant “nuclear” power

  104. james risser Says:

    you are most welcome!

  105. Massachusetts Liberal Says:

feingold - the dems won’t nominate him.

Progressasaurus - That’s the key right there. The Democratic leadership doesn’t want Feingold, or Dean—-they want somebody who will keep the party establishment in power. They care about their jobs & prestige more than they care about the country. Look what they did to Jimmy Carter. They were less cooperative with him than they were with Nixon, because he was a man of the people and threatened their power.

  106. For Truth Says:

Hay Nate, the Link doesn’t work with Safari browser, or Mac.

  107. Progressaurus Rex Says:

no you didn’t, marie. you meant nucular.
all good american patriots know how to pronounce the word.
only a liberal terrorist-lover says nuclear anymore.

  108. Marie Says:

    #115 pr
    good one!

  109. Progressaurus Rex Says:

yep. the key to a feingold candidacy would be the same thing the dean candidacy was about - grassroots, back to basics progressivism. then along comes kerry and no one can figure out the message again.

i fear clinton just does the same thing (flag burning amendments? fund-raisers by murdoch?). and she’s much more polarizing then bill. as i’ve already said - i can’t stand republicans right now, but i most certainly will not vote for hillary.

gimme gore as an independent in ‘08! republicans are too brazen and screw everything up, democrats are practically afraid of their own shadows, they all stand for the status quo…

  110. Jay Randal Says:

Senator Feingold is telling the truth, but most of the other Dem Senators like Hillary Clinton are too busy acting like milder Republicans! The Senate is basically filled with idiots now!

  111. TerrytheTurtle Says:

#90 and #95 - Sharon, right on both times. Hilary is just part of the ‘machine’ no change there, just more waving in the breeze and corporate politics. Hillary is a disaster wating to happen for the Dems if they nominate her - I don’t think she’s electable. Especially against that toady McCain (remember the Keating 5?). McCain is a windbag carefully cultivating his image as a maverick. He is no such thing.

Gold and silver? Yup, watch out - the dollar is doomed. It’s just a matter of time. You won’t be able to buy your plastic crap from China in a few years….

Keep your powder dry, Sharon, this country needs a revolution..

  112. TerrytheTurtle Says:

#119 Sharon - well this should wrap it up for anyone who thinks Hilary Clinton will save anything. Fox News is behind her

  113. Zookeeper Says:

#105 - James, thanks so much for drawing attention to this interesting letter. He lost me on the religion and Israel stuff, but otherwise impressive. He seems to understand Americans better than our own president. I liked the series of questions he listed for himself and Bush. I’d be interested in GWB’s answers. As if.

There was a short article in our newspaper about this letter, and Condi was dismissive as ever. No way in hell did Incurious George read that letter — even though he should.

TP should do a thread on this — not that I have any influence whatsoever.
    Just sayin’

  114. JIMBO Says:

And I thought Joementum was bad enough. But having to deal with Hillary kissing Murdoch’s flabby old ass is just too much too bear. Feiingold should draft a law that prohibits pundits and consultants from either flip flopping or spreading propaganda that never tells the truth. Like when Olbermann took O’Lieely to school again when Ted Baxter lied about his ratings being higher when Olbermann pointed out the real gospel truth on Countdown tonight.

Oh, and for the record, as a male, I’d like to say that Valerie Plame is HOT! ;) Can’t say the same though for Ann Coulter, Katherine Harris or even the female Benedict Arnold, Hillary.

  115. katy Says:

first reaction to hillary/murdoch news: it’s a setup… and if she goes for it - and she will - she is a definite turncoat… too bad… i did NOT want her to run for pres. in 08 because that would be too divisive, too destructive, of the party and the country…
but this murdoch thing - really low, hil…

and about the iran letter - too bad it wasn’t posted on the web from the beginning… let the world see that this administration is ignorant and uncaring about saving the world… it would have been difficult to be “dismissive” of the overture if the whole world knew that iran was reaching out before the bushies could react negatively… just my take…

    g’nite…

  116. Bruce Gorton Says:

If Feingold were to leave the Democrats, the Democrats would be no more. Face it, Feingold is the guy who most represents what a Democrat should be, he is a mensch of a type rare in any political idealogy. Unfortunately, his party has been weakened and compromised by the other leaders taking their base for granted. They figure that the liberals will vote for them no matter what, just because they aren’t the Republicans.

This next election, show them the error of their ways, vote independent. Then maybe in the election after next, the Democrats will be worth voting for again.

  117. katy Says:

yea - vote independent … forget about any chance of getting subpoena power, investigations into the lies and corruptionn, checks and balances, subverting fascism… all that trivial stuff… who needs it…

  118. Sharon Cox Says:

Hay, TerrytheTurtle and all, Your right……Our old party of Dems is for the most part gone. There are only a few, like Finegold who stand up to this bunch of liers and thieves. Most of the politicians on all sides are so attached to the corpret tit they dare not do what is right for our country or her people.

It is truly time to clean house, vote them all out, starting from the top. I personaly don’t care if Finegold has been married 30 times and is jewish or any faith or not ,I would vote for him. I was pissed when the party flew over to Kerry instead of Dean but I did vote for Kerry to show loyalty. Kerry is O.K. but I still think Dean would of made a better showing in the long run….Ofcourse, given the tampering with the voting machines, nothing would of made the diffrence. I also think we need to get the electorial college out now. With all our technolegy popular vote would be better. Blacking out the results from back east would add to the betterment of all elections. Many people here on the west coast have told me they have seen how it is going so don’t bother to vote at all.

There is a new letter floating around to march on July 14th in D.C. We need huge demonstrations to bring the media to their senses, if that’s possible.

I still need to figure out a way to send mass e-mails to all the representatives at once. My old iMac and I are still learning and lot’s of things take forever to open or download….Have a wonderful day, all you all………Blessings

  119. katy Says:

sharon, not sure of your email program, but you may be able to make a “folder” of addresses, which will be labelled and that label gets typed into the “to” heading, sending the same message out to all in that folder… hope that helps!

  120. Bruce Gorton Says:

    Katy

I hate to say it, but, I don’t think the Dems would really vote to impeach Bush. A small minority of them would, yes, but there are a lot of Republican-lites in Congress. You need to wake the Democrats up to the fact that you won’t just vote for the Dem candidate no matter how many times that candidate has stabbed his supporters in the back. You need to clean house, and who knows? Maybe the independent you actually agree with and therefore voted for gets in.

  121. Sharon Cox Says:

Thank’s Katy, guess it’s time I got my book “Dummies that use iMacs” or something out again and try one more time……The suns out and the birds and trees are calling me so the puter stuff will have to start again tomorrow at 5 A.M…………Blessings, we need them.

  122. katy Says:

    did i say “impeach”?
get the dems back into the house and senate for “subpoena power, investigations into the lies and corruptionn, checks and balances, subverting fascism”, THEN think about independent candidates…
OR throw your vote away, and enjoy the continued screwing from the repugs…
    that’s just how it is…

i think people just don’t realize just how impossible it is for dems to get any kind of message out - it’s not like timmy and tweety and joe et al, invite them on with any regularity to discuss the merits of a true democracy … remember? there is no “librul media”…

  123. Bruce Gorton Says:

    Katy

They won’t even go that far, they (the lapdog Democrats) will say it would make them look like they were being uncooperative for the sake of it, and after Bush is gone, the Repugs will continue to rape America because the Dems will continue to be the “Not-Republican” party and you will continue to vote for them in the hopes that they one day grow spines. South Africa had much the same in our official opposition party. It is pointless voting for a Democrat who continually goes along with the Republicans in congress, who will turn on his own party members whenever that party member tries to enforce congress’ role as a check and balance to the powers of the president and the senate. That democrat will NOT bring back the checks and balances which existed prior to GW.

If your Democrat representative is not a Republican Lite, if your representative is like Feingold, by all means vote for that Democrat, but if your representative rolls over every time somebody looks like calling him a traitor, if your representative is more interested in the conservative vote then your vote, if your representative voted against the resolution to censure Bush, vote the bastard out. Otherwise, it won’t be the independent voters who wasted their votes.

  124. Bruce Gorton Says:

Actually, on second thought let me put this another way:

We actually have the same arguments about the DA. Had the same argument when they were opposing the Nats and we have the same arguments now that they are opposing the ANC.

Basically it boils down to this, don’t weaken the opposition.

The opposition has been the opposition since 1949, basically the start of Apartheid. For more the 50 years, the DA in its various incarnations, has not won a single presidential election. They in essence neutralised any opposition to the Nats and the ANC because people didn’t want to weaken the opposition.

Weaken the opposition, don’t fall into the same trap South Africa did.

  125. Drew Mackenzie Says:

    Feingold is my Senator.

    Because I’m from Wisconsin.

If you don’t live in Wisconsin, he can’t be your Senator.

But I’m still willing to share.

    Elect him as President.

  126. big papa Says:

Tweety Matthews, are you listening? That’s the voice of what may be the next President. That is the voice of your chances of collecting unemployment checks come 2008.

    Comment by JIMBO #27

    Careful Jimbo,

    …over-exuberance won’t counteract subliminal brainwashing…

…especially when the Tweety-birds have ALL the communications apparatus…

…MORE people see and hear Tweety MORE often…

    …than you, me or Feingold…

    …and the Tweety-birds are definitely touting…

…John (Bush-redux) McCain and Rudy (tell me what heroics he performed on 9/11 again?) Guiliani as the next “great white hopes”…

…the corporate-controlled airwaves/MSM have become veeerrry “iffy” for Progressives who wish to effect REAL regime change…

  127. Debra McDaniel Says:

Damn, I love that man. I wish more of our elected officials of both parties had his courage.

I hope they never do =)
