who has admitted taking millions in bribes from defense contractors, will be fully cooperating with ongoing investigations. That’s good news for the public and bad news for corrupt members of Congress.
We really do need a better phrase than “Repukes”, don’t you think? It’s pretty good, I have to admit, particularly when the best the other side has is “Dimocrats”.
#12 – GWSC, I found this on SignonSanDiego.com, 11/30/05
Cunningham’s cooperation in the investigation would need to be substantial in order for prosecutors to recommend that federal Judge Larry Alan Burns sentence him Feb. 27 to less than the 10 years he faces, Grimes said. With good behavior, Cunningham can reduce whatever sentence he gets by 15 percent.
I think continuing cooperation would come under the heading of “good behavior.”
The most accurate is Repub-”Souless, self-serving, hipocratical, sexually repressed and deviant, money grubbing, simplistic thinking, fundamentalist, torturing, lying, manipulating, deficit spending, irresponsible, war-mongering, fear-filled, hate-filled, scum”- licans…
Sorry for all the negativity. It is just another heartbreaking day of watching my civil liberties disappear, my country being raped, our reputation around the globe reaching new lows, and reading about more deaths in Iraq. Again, sorry…
I just got back from England where I got an earful about Guantanamo Bay. That base needs to be removed. It is destroying our reputation around the globe.
I like Repulicrooks. GWSC, yours are simply inspired, but I sprained my tongue trying to pronounce them. I’ll send you the bill for the doctor visit and sling. ;)
Too bad the days when people were put into stocks, in the public square have gone. I’d love to see them line up, with their hands and feet sticking out. Then we could at least throw veggies at them, and boo them as we walked by. Then still have to go to prison Talk about humiliation.
How about the house ethics commitee has opened an investigation of Demoncrap William Jefferson of Louisiana. Seems the repubs arent the only ones with ethical problems.
#33 they just make a rico mafia special conspiricy of it…coruption is part of some people, but the repugs have made it into a party practice…thus the six degrees of repug corruption…Abrarmoff was linked to sarivan who worked for Bush…Abrarmoff shared money with reed who is attempting to run for Lt Gov in Georgia…Abrarmoff aided Delay who carried water for Bush who wanted the medicare part D so Tausin wrote the law bekfore running off to work for the companies he wrote the law to benifit, and scotty McClennan lied about iut for Bush who hired Scotty’s brother to run the program for the goberment, Abrarmoff gave money to Harris who lied for Bush in Fla in 2000 and accepted money from the same lieing sack of sh*t who bribed the Duke Cunninbgham who went to prision and some of the others he hung out with havew infiltrated the CIA until they too got caught and had to resign like porter goss or were forced to resign like Froggo whose home and CIA office was searched by the FBI, CIA IRS amoung others…Arbramoff funneled money to Ernie Fletcher before he ran fro KY Gov. and had to pardon 14 members of his Administration before he was indicted hisself…Abrarmoff aided Bob Ney in his questional activities which has brought him to the ethics committee and seems to be corupt in his home stste of ohio which has seen the Gov. admit guilt along with members of his admin. Abrarmoff gave money to the GOP which has seem it’s main New England operator sent to prison for a phone jamming voter fraud scheme which netted 3 other repugs….
See how easy it is to play the game with the repugs …soooooo amny corupot idiots so hard to find one not connected to the coruption by more than 2 degrees of corupption.
But you might be right a democrat or two might have individually committed acts against the spirit or letter of the law…..
I’ll believe it when I see it. He allegedly promised to cooperate before, and news came out that he wasn’t doing so.
May 19th, 2006 at 11:36 amMaybe I’m wrong but I seem to remember hearing on the news at one time he wore a wire. Has anyone heard this?
May 19th, 2006 at 11:43 amBetween Cunningham, Abramhoff, and with Fitzgerald digging into the muck, Republicans sure have a great track record going for themselves.
One would think they’d try to clean up their act before they get thrown out of office.

We really do need a better phrase than “Repukes”, don’t you think? It’s pretty good, I have to admit, particularly when the best the other side has is “Dimocrats”.
I suggest we use “Republicrooks”
Probably folks here can do better?
May 19th, 2006 at 12:21 pmHasn’t Cunningham already been sentenced?
Is he up for more charges?
The reason I ask is because I don’t see why he would cooperate if his cooperation won’t reduce his sentence.
If he cooperates will this work to reduce his current sentence?
May 19th, 2006 at 12:37 pmhow about ReTHUGlicans?
May 19th, 2006 at 1:05 pmIf he cooperates will this work to reduce his current sentence?

GW,
I believe the 8 year sentence he received was a reduced sentence contingent upon his cooperation.
