Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick will resign

if he isn’t named to replace Treasury Secretary John Snow. Zoellick is one of the few influential moderates in the Bush administration.

Is this a matter of principle, or just being pissy?

  3. Hardy Haberman says:

Zoellick realizes that this administration is headed toward dictatorship and he wants to either be in a position of power to try to moderate it or he wants out. Just my opinion.

Zoellick is one of the few influential moderates in the Bush administration.

And moderates have no place in this Admin when they decide to pound Iran. Kiss all remaining rationality and prudence goodbye

    There is any remaining?

  7. mparker says:

I was not aware of any moderates in the Bush administration.

Loyalists, religious extremists, sycophants, cronies, apologists, racists, homophobes, and accomplices in general, I was aware of.

  8. GURU^ says:

Was there ever any prudence or rationality ?
