      Shut the f*ck up, Gibson.

Tommorrow on FAUX News: John Gibson thinks drowning puppies is bad.

    8. Just plain mad Says:

I sure he has no problem with collateral damage though. It seems that the blowing up of civilians in their homes is OK as long as it is done from the air on a perpetual basis. It's always just a misunderstanding of what house was supposed to have the insurgents. For over three years, the US has had too few people on the ground and air support that settles for bombing far too often. The men and women on the ground have served too many duties in an incredibly mentally difficult situation. Our troops deserved and deserve better that what they are being given by the civilian and pentagon leadership.

    9. G.W.SuperChrist Says:

But wasn't he for it before he was against it?

    10. mparker Says:

I wonder what he thinks about torture, treason and their related coverups?

    11. Cloak & Swagger Says:

Now now, there's nothing wrong with him having to clarify his position on the matter with FOX viewers, I'm sure some confusion still lingers among those people on how they should feel about it. I thank Mr. Gibson for taking the time to let his viewers know how they should feel about this, if he didn't do it, then they'd be lost.

    12. Jay Randal Says:

Well FOX News whores like Gibson helped to foment the occupation of Iraq, so they are partly to blame for any massacres that have occured there!

Look at Mr. Softy gibson go, you go girl!... go girl! ........go girl!

    14. Rosencrantz Says:

I would like to take this moment to follow in Gibson's noble and courageous footsteps and announce that I am strongly opposed to stabbing strangers in the face for no reason at all. NO longer will I stand quietly on the sidelines while there is senseless face stabbing going on! I say NAY!

    15. War4Sale Says:

      That's an important first step.

Maybe eventually, Gibson will develop the moral insight to also oppose military occupations of weak nations and looting of their natural resources.

    16. pgw Says:

when is fox going to change that segment's title to "My Word: Stupid"?

    17. Jesus Says:

Gibson is too damned ugly to be on TV.

    18. ericnh Says:

Thank you, John Gibson. I feel so much better now.

    19. LC Liberal Says:

That's very surprising to hear, for just like FNC said there are "good" leaks and "good" wars I also figured they would toss this aside as a "good" massacre.

I think he just mis-spoke.........he's against telling the American people about civilian massacres and he's against telling the American people about government cover-ups.

Spot on. The real issue is why a national media network needs such a headline title in the first place - note the keyword 'feel' not 'think'.

Hey - what's up? Good to see you.

I'm kinda surpised O'Lielly hasn't already been picking off more of his co-workers, so that he can have more air time...

    29. WORFEUS Says:

      Facts?

You mean facts like Joe Wilson tried to give you? Facts like every weapons inspector and military analyst tried to give you prior to going in?

Facts like the ones Colin Powell and every other general tried to give you prior to going in?

How about facts like Global Warming, facts that every scientist in the world NOT working for the big oil companies have been trying to beat into your thick skulls?

You mean facts like those? You love those facts?

    30. redneck hick Says:

This is news. He took a brave stand, but isn't he worried people might question his patriotism now?

And aphrodite is right, we should wait until we have all the facts before doing anything rash like criticizing policy or invading a country. Well, maybe not before invading a country.

    31. WORFEUS Says:

      Yea, you love facts alright.

Course, must be sort of a "luv-hate" relationship I'd imagine, ay NotSo-Mighty?

Hey UnB, good to see you too. I am back for now (unless they boot me again), simply because of this story.

"Unlike the unswerving, untiring, ALWAYS anti-American Progs, Gibson is not ready to dispense with:
a.) facts uncovered during the course of an investigation
b.) a military judicial proceeding. Comment by Might Moron"

Really? Because the Reichwingers in the military most certainly were ready to dispense with both of those until a LIBERAL IN THE MEDIA - GASP told the truth.

"I know that facts (NOT feelings) are tedious things - but before you clamor for the execution (figuratively speaking), I think we should have a trial….Silly me…. Comment by Might Moron"

That explains why you always post your FEELINGS instead of those TEDIOUS FACTS. See to a PROG a fact isn't tedious - but you are...

    38. Krazny Says:

      If you read this article,

      http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,197544,00.html

More what Gibson is trying to do, is not allow this occurrence to define the Iraq war, in the way My Lai massacre defined vietnam.

I agree that we need to wait for the facts to surface. I am sorry to see our soldiers put into a situation that they are not trained for. Military forces should not be used to pacify a country. It rarely works long term, and creates a climate of terror, and killing. In many ways I think the military has been pretty restrained. They could be leveling entire towns, or just shooting and killing everyone they see. In Vietnam you never knew who the enemy was, so you had to assume that everyone was. A climate of fear, and hatred will not win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi's.

    39. WORFEUS Says:

Last night, O'Reilly had the temerity to rip into Congressman Murtha, accusing him of wanting to cut and run. I fervently wish Murtha, or someone, would go onto O'Reilly's show and ask O'Reilly how he can dare to criticize the patriotism of anyone when he, O"Reilly, never came close to being on a field of combat while wearing a military unifrom. People like O'Reilly are all for starting and continuing wars as long as it is someone else, and not them, who will be fighting in those wars. O'Reily's favorite motto: "Do as I say, not as I do".

    45. Drew Mackenzie Says:

      Not one.

THATS what passes for a Patriot with the republicans.

    47. For Truth Says:

Mighty, I know all kinds of war atrocities have happened over there, so yes I am going to pass judgement, and say it happened anyway, just to make up for all the shit that people have not been caught doing. Law enforcement thinks like this, why not me?

      TV 'Patriots'??

Fux News is Kinda like WWF wrestling, it's entertaining to some, truth to others, and total bullcrap to those who know how fake it really is. They talk trash, they say alot of things that only a few believe (11% trust fux) and the rest of the World laughs at them.

Yes Fux News, you are a joke around the world. When Saturday Nite Live makes fun of FUX, you know it's over for them, Oh well, they were kinda amusing while it lasted.

    52. WORFEUS Says:

      Your absolutely correct FOR TRUTH.

Haditha is just the "story of the hour". There have been numerous attrocities of a similar nature.

Just listen to this first hand account of the massacre in Balad this past March.

"The American forces gathered the family members in one room and executed 11 persons, including five children, four women and two men. Then they bombed the house, burned three vehicles and killed the animals." The report includes the observation of local medics that all of the bodies had bullet wounds in the head.

Ahmed Khalaf, the nephew of one of the victims said, "The killed family was not part of the resistance, they were women and children. The Americans have promised us a better life, but we get only death." AP photos of the aftermath showed the bodies of five children, two men and four others covered in blankets being driven to a nearby hospital

      Lovely isn't it?

This is what Bush calls, "Democracy on the move".

      A) I never watch Fux News.
      B) How can you be angry when laughing at those morons?
      C) Fox is hating it because, we shew people the Lies.
      D) Your just being an apologist for really bad journalism, actually it just propaganda, and that of course is lies.

    54. Joe Sixpack Says:

Yeah, he's against "massacres and coverups" all right. Especially now that every news organization in the nation has jumped on the story. I mean, Gibson sounds so FAIR AND BALANCED all of a sudden.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gibson didn't have squat to say about the massacre back in Febuary when Time first reported it. As a matter of fact, this is the same guy who has spent the past half-decade reporting and blaming Iraq and Saddam Hussain for the 1993 World Trade Center and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombings.

      Nuff said.

    55. Jules Says:

    58. Mr Blifil Says:

He's just no fun anymore. You gotta love a little bit of civilian massacre, just to break up the day a bit. Too touchy JG.

I'll bet if I gave you a loaded rifle right now, JG, you'd be blasting away at the nearest day care center with nary a care in the world. If God had not intended for kids to be shot in the head, he wouldn't have granted us our Second Amendment rights. Where is the support for the troops?

    59. Juan C Says:

Well, if Gibson is against massacres, those who are thinking in doing it again, surely will think twice. Gibson = blue collar media asshole.

    60. Badmoodman Says:

Gibson probably figures this is a slam-dunk way to get a Peabody Award.

This needed to be reported and is an important post as Gibson chose to officially distinguish himself from the Faux News default policy of Pro civilian massacres and crimes against humanity under the auspices of Corporate objectives.

Still the entire matter boils down to mismanagement

Clearly the blame for this massacre (and abu graib)

the chickenhawk President, George W Bush.

Funny thing about conservatives. They talk a hell of a lot, but they don't respect words, only bombs and bullets. If they'd listen to some of the talk, then maybe they would not make so many mistakes.

But alas, they think talk is for sissy's, cowards and traitors.

      More quotes from someone enlightened...

As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - that is the myth of the atomic age - as in being able to remake ourselves.

Corruption ought not to be an inevitable product of democracy.

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not any man’s greed.

The Rich must live more simply so that the Poor may simply live

Find purpose, the means will follow.

I do not believe in the doctrine of the greatest good of the greatest number. The only real, dignified, human doctrine is the greatest good of all.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.

The spirit of democracy cannot be imposed from without. It has to come from within.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?

You should be the change that you want to see in the world.

      -Mohandas Gandhi

    96. lazarus Says:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

      -Joseph Goebbels
