If Rush is calling people out and wants to duke it out with them in Vegas, I’m in.

  2. Dave in IL says:

Poor little Limbaugh sounds so unbalanced that he must be back on narcotics.

  3. Badmoodman says:

It was probably Colin Powell calling with a handkerchief over the phone’s mouthpiece.

  4. Jackie Rawlings says:

Rush Limbaugh is a druggie so he’s not in his right mine. Most of Limbaugh’s friends must be in jail for drug use. Why would anyone listen to a druggie anyway. I guess that’s the new American values Rush is talking about that is that all people who use drugs are now ok. I wonder if Rush could now get his drugs legally by Dr. Quack aka Senator Frist. It’s nice to be a druggie and have friends like Dr. Quack.

  5. Flamethrower says:

we’ll take one recovered dittohead at a time.

  6. ProgressiveChristian says:

What a great call! The best line wa Limbaugh claiming he doesn’t tolerate liars and frauds on his show. Kind of have to shut down, wouldn’t he? What a coward he is.

  7. big papa says:

    I heart Pus Limphog

…he does SO MUCH for the credibility of the conservative movement…

I hope somebody sends him some “excitement” someday…

  8. yankeluh says:

#1 count me in as well.

  9. Ron says:

The deaf fool is a lap dog for the Bush Cabal. The stupid drug user doesn’t know when to shut up.

    He’s washed up anyway.

I’m tired of his ilk and the so-called ‘Republicans.’ Just a group of idiots that ply him with money.

    enough of the ‘Republicans.’

  10. Russ says:

Since when is “oxycontin” spelled “marbles”?

  11. Sharon Cox says:

Rush Limbaugh.? Ah yes I remember, the one druggie wacko who actualy has three ass holes, one in his face and two on his back side….Who listens to him.? No one I know. He’s in the group of people with two ass holes, bush, cheney, O’lilie, pat robertson, rummie, rice and the rest of this administration……When will america and her people get the country back. Any new indictments coming down the pike…..Out

  12. Zookeeper says:

I just read this on DKos! Rush has definitely lost his marbles (oxycontin). Hilarious! Keep feeding the paranoia…

  13. Iraqis, Mexicans, Whatever says:

Rush’s tongue needs to be “Midnight Expressed”.

  14. GG says:

I think Rust Limpdick means he wants to hire that job out with a no bid contract at taxpayer expense while he yells”Bring It On” through his EIB microphone.

  15. Iraqis, Mexicans, Whatever says:

Is there any doubt Rush and Rove will break like little girls. It’s coming. I hope someone’s there to witness it.

  16. Anon1 says:

Has he gained weight yet? I can’t wait till he gets fat.

  17. Hardy Haberman says:

These gas bags are all the same, Hanity, O’Reilly and Limbaugh, they are content to bully folks but won’t address the facts. Kinda like our President. Lets make war, not address the problems.

  18. mahatmacoat says:

It’s damned hot in Vegas. Wouldn’t Rush’s time be better spent wiping out the day old cheese between his many folds of fat?

  19. Simon Cowell says:

I just listened to the replay.

    Wow !

    Absolutely Insanity !

    I am actually speechless ….

  20. War4Sale says:

Sounds like Rush was just trying to score drugs from the caller.

  21. Paul Miller says:

“I wonder if Rush could now get his drugs legally by Dr. Quack aka Senator Frist. ”

I am sure Fristy could make a firm diagnosis over the radio.

  22. lib says:

I hear Rush has graduated to horse tranquilzers, and really, he is physically harmless, though he may throw a shoe now and then.

  23. Wayne says:

    Rush has lost it
    this is funny stuff.

  24. Jay Randal says:

  26. Unholy Moses says:

Does Rush have his own police force like Bill O’Reilly?

  27. Bush Bites says:

Rush has been out of sorts ever since Daryn Kagan figured out that he’s a big, fat druggie with limited brain power.

  28. Solitaire says:

I got your oxycontin right here, Rush-ette. Here kitty kitty kitty.

  29. steve shaw says:

Rush was just putting down a fake caller which was a lileral. All liberals are fake they never admit to being liberal. They have a hard time being honest.

  30. Keith H. says:

    Puss-gut Rush is so over.
He and Billboe O’Liely should do a tag-team on the same show.
That would cut back on the number of hours the airwaves have to suffer.

  31. Zimzone says:

Druggie Limblow can meet me anywhere he wants,
    Vegas, NY, LA, anywhere.
I would like nothing more than to go 1:1 with that lying,
    shit spewing hatemonger.
He’s done more damage to this Country’s unity and
progression as a leader in the world than any individual
    in America.
Have you noticed he rarely even takes a call anymore?
Oxycontin has made him nearly deaf…if only it had attacked
    his vocal chords!
Rush, just name the time & place.
By the way, I’m bigger, badder, smarter and better looking
than you. I’m also an ex-marine who stays in shape.
    Looking forward to meeting you!

  32. Preznit Pinhead says:

Right, steve shaw. Today’s “conservatives” are certainly honest–you’d never catch them lying their way into wars or anything like that.

  33. Zookeeper says:

#29 – So Rush was talking to thin air again?

  34. Ninetoe says:

    Hey sharon,
No one listens to Rush?! Which one of your holes is your head caught in. Maybe if you all keep screaming these kinds of lies maybe one day they will be true. I think not. Who is listend to more, your buddy Al Franken? He is losing stations faster than Ted Kennedy is losing brain cells. Druggie? Because he got hooked on pain pills? Look at all your lefty heros, they have bought more recreational drugs than the entire GDP of Mexico. And all you idiots who keep saying Rush, Sean Hannity and Bill are shills for the Bush administration, maybe if you listened to them instead of reading what a bunch of whackos say they are saying, you might see the truth. For starters, immagration, they all are againstthe current ideas that the administration is putting forth. I have my own idea, I would like to see a trade deal with people like you. Because I would take one Mexican on a lawnmower over 10 nimrods like you.

  35. daDonk says:

    idiots listen to Rush.

  36. Station Agent says:

I would fight Rush. He might even kick my butt, but it would be worth it for the shot to kic his. Put in the ring at Yearly Kos 2007.

Meant #35 – but you are all so smart you probably knew that!!

  39. Noam Sane says:

What is it with spelling and grammar among the righties?

Do you think that their general lack of intelligence is also a factor in their zombie-like attachment to BushCo?

It suggests a reason why the right wants to cripple public education. They don’t want none of them pointy-headed thinkin’ fellers interfering as they rape the middle class.

  40. Jane E. Schneider says:

Only conservatives could possibly need a, well, an entity (I can’t call him a person) like Rush Limbaugh to tell them what to think. Liberals are, by definition, open-minded.

Can any troll give us one qualification that Rush has that makes him an expert on any topic?

  41. Wayne says:

    #34

Actually Sharon meant no one with any brains whatsoever listens to Limburger, because he is a hypocrit and a proven liar.

Obviously you do listen to him, by the mindless drivel in your post which is typical of Rush groupies

  42. sardonic says:

    # 34 Ninetoe ;

I’ve listened for years to all those you mentioned. All are corrupt.
The difference between Rush and Hannity are:
Rush knows he’s lying.Hannity actually belives his sh!t.O’Reilly is just plain brain damage, like the other two,and right wing-nuts in general.

  43. Dave in IL says:

#42 — and they are all worthless pieces of garbage. I agree that Rush knowingly lies to pad ratings because otherwise he would have no multi-million dollar paycheck.

  44. Parrotlover77 says:

I smell Pay Per View! I would pay a lot of money to see Rush have his a$$ handed to him. Vegas is the perfect spot too!

  45. Jane E. Schneider says:

I’m just glad that TP didn’t provide a photo of Rush for this thread *shudder* :-)
Although it would probably have made a good ‘Caption Contest’!

We the “unhinged moonbats” will kick that sorry DRUG ADDICTS ASS!!!!

    Bring it Rush……fat f’er

  49. jimb says:

    Hey Ninetoe,

Feel free to start listing some of the “lies” that we liberals have ben telling about your right-wing blowhards. Please, give us just one.

How freaking dishonest/insane/stupid does one have to be to say that direct quotes from a show’s transcript are lies or smears? How can it be lying about Limbaugh or Hannity or O’Reilly when you take their words and read them back exactly as they were spoken?

I’ve listened to enough of these guys to know that they don’t even make an effort to get close to the truth. That’s not their job. Their job is to make stupid people go to the polls and vote for people who are going to screw the living daylights out of them and to convince those same rubes that the GOP scumbag they’re voting for is the second coming of Christ.

One merely has to squeeze ones head out of ones rectum on occasion to realize that.

  50. Ninetoe says:

    #49
    Let’s start with Bill.
Bill flip flopped on his position of cutting and running in Iraq. Word for word what he said was “We need to get out of there as fast as is humanly possible.” DUH! We all say that. Right, left Dem, Rep, stupid or smart. But that did not mean we should drop everything and run. I got bullied alot when I was little. Do you know what happens when you run from a bully…he chases you. You have to stand up to him and some times whip his a**.
I don’t see any of you calling Patrick Kennedy a druggie. I also don’t hear any of the hosts you mentioned calling him that either. He was not treated as you or I would have been. He even got a ride home from the police. We would have gotten a ride downtown. Did Rush endanger the lives of other motorists? We don’t know, but I doubt it. I listen to Randi Rhodes sometimes (in small bits, that’s all I can take) she just goes on and on about how Sean Hannity only takes calls from people he agrees with. If you have listened with any regularity you KNOW that is a huge lie. All of them take calls with opposing views. If they didn’t what would be the point. I would bet that %90 of the people on here NEVER listen or read anything but liberal ideas. I want to hear what the other side says.
So yes please everyone, keep an open mind, but not so open your brain falls out.

  51. Jane E. Schneider says:

Ninetoe, we DO listen to several right-wing talking heads in order to find out what lies are being told. I agree with your earlier post that many of them, Hannity, Scarborough in particular, sometimes disagree with the Bush administration’s policies, but, on the whole, they are more pro-Bush than not. One thing that you cannot argue with, however, is that Bill O’Reilly is completely intolerant of any caller or guest who disagrees with him in any way. You have to admit that he’s a total loon!

Labelling Patrick Kennedy a druggie seems a bit hasty, especially when you consider that many people are now coming forward with horror stories of things they did, completely unaware, while taking Ambien. Rush, on the other hand, illegally obtained his prescriptions, and got off with a slap on the wrist, all the while hypocritically denouncing people with addictions to any other drug. I doubt very much whether he has apologized to drug addicts in general for his constant diatribes against them. One would hope that he would have more compassion.

  52. Randy says:

I just love how liberals have this double standard when it comes to bashing an individual. Conservatives cannot question the integrity or the motives of anyone on the left. We are supposed to debate the issue. Yet, all I’ve read here is criticism of Rush and that is because you can’t compete with the likes of Rush. In the war of ideas, you guys lose. Period. I heard this caller first hand yesterday and it sounded like he was a repeat caller whom Rush recognized. His real name wasn’t Jack. I can’t listen to anything of KOs so I don’t how they have doctored what was actually broadcast yesterday. Since when is Rush washed up? Last time I checked, he still has more listeners than all of the personalities on that fly-by-night network “Air America” and is still going strong. How many stations does AA have? 65, 66 or did it go down again?

  53. Redleg says:

Rush wins in the “war of ideas?” Rush couldn’t think his way out of a paper bag- he “wins” debates by interrupting or hanging up on callers and then berating them once they’re off the line. Limbaugh doesn’t actually know anything- he is a loud-mouthed, ill-educated, unimformed clown who happens to have his own radio program loved by other ignorant oafs out there.

  54. Randy says:

You obviously have never listened to Rush. I have listened to Randi Rhodes, Al Franken, Jerry Springer and Ed Schultz to name a few on the left. Ed is the only one I can actually tolerate to listen to for more than five minutes at a time. The rest are unprofessional and while they may hold degrees, do not have any common sense and just regurgitate the liberal talking points of the extreme left. Having an education doesn’t make you smart. I’d take Rush any day in a debate with anyone from the left.

  55. Clif says:

I’d take Rush any day in a debate with anyone from the left.

    Comment by Randy — June 1, 2006 @ 5:05 pm

Rush would do no better in person than Bill o’liely did against Al Frankin

  56. Ninetoe says:

    #51
    Jane,
Thank you for responding in a sane manner, this is how you have a discussion people. I make a point, you make a point and so on. Not, oooooo look that guy caint spell rite. Or “I’m not going to capitalize Bush, Rice or even the word America in my post, that will show those meanies.” Very very small people.
You are right though, he can be a bit harsh with people. But have you seen him with Al Sharpton? I don’t agree with much of anything that comes out of his mouth, but I like him because I think he REALLY means what he says. As much as I do not Agree with Howard Dean, I respect the fact that he dosen’t seem to care about what anyone thinks, even members of his own party. It’s people like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry that just seem very dishonest. They seem to say whatever they think you want to hear. Plus, what has anyone at AA ever done to help children, like helping to get Jessica’s Law passed, or written a book to help answer questions children might have. I heard Al Franken making fun of Bill’s book the other day, what has that weasel (sorry, I had to call him a name just once) ever done to help children?
Now, if someone is a conservative, does it not stand to reason that they will agree with the Republicans and vice-versa. But a “shill” would never disagree. For me the bottom line is this, we can argue about our opinions. We should have gone to Iraq, we should build a wall or apples taste good. These are all opinions, but many people like to state their opinions as fact when we don’t know what the facts are. The facts are: we are IN Iraq, we need to do something about our border and I like apples.
What do we do about the border? We all have an opinion, but we don’t really know what the right thing to do is, we will do something and far in the future we will see if we were right.

  57. Zookeeper says:

#56 – I don’t care what Wayne says, Jane is definitely sane. ;)

  58. jimb says:

    #49
First off, since you didn’t get what I was saying, I’ll explain. Here’s your statment:

“Maybe if you all keep screaming these kinds of lies maybe one day they will be true.”

Bill Clinton didn’t even enter into the picture. That’s a different topic for a different time. Now what lies are we all telling when we’re talking…excuse me…screaming about your beloved Limbaugh, Hannity, and O’Reilly?

Secondly, why would we call Patrick Kennedy a druggie? He didn’t tell a talk radio show audience that drug abusers should be thrown in jail. Limbaugh did. He didn’t get his housekeeper to go buy him several thousand hits of hillbilly heroin. Limbaugh did. Patrick Kennedy has an addiction to prescription painkillers and checked himself into rehab. There’s a world of difference. One’s a gigantic hypocrite who thinks he’s above the law. The other isn’t. Here’s Rush in his own words: “Too many whites are getting away with drug use. The answer is to . . . find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them, and send them up the river.” Hypocrite.

  59. jimb says:

    #52
I just love how liberals have this double standard when it comes to bashing an individual. Conservatives cannot question the integrity or the motives of anyone on the left. We are supposed to debate the issue. Yet, all I’ve read here is criticism of Rush and that is because you can’t compete with the likes of Rush.

Rush doesn’t get any slack. He is so full of crap, he doesn’t deserve any respect. He doesn’t show respect for others. He doesn’t get any. Do you know what a lie is? Do you know what the word “lie” means? It’s a false statement made with the intent to deceive. Lie doesn’t mean “something I don’t want to hear.” It doesn’t mean “somebody saying something I don’t like.” Lies are what Rush Limbaugh tells repeatedly. He knows that what he’s telling you isn’t true and he says it anyway. He doesn’t care. He wants you to think a certain way and doesn’t care if he’s filling your head with crap. And lies are not that hard to expose. There are things called facts and evidence. There’s objective truth. You don’t like Al Franken? Fine. But, can you point to one thing he’s said and stated as fact that you can disprove? He’s pointed out, almost on a daily basis, what lies Limbaugh and Hannity and O’Reilly have told, almost on a daily basis. I’m sure you don’t like to hear what he has to say, but can you refute it? Do some research. Try to find some evidence that proves him wrong.

When right-wingers continue to treat facts and opinion as interchangeable, they make it pointless for anyone to try to discuss anything with them. And that may work just fine for you when your favorite candidates are winning elections, but when they fall out of power, they’ll be marginalized and ignored. Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly and their like-minded fans may have helped bring the Republican party to a point of nearly monopolizing all levels and branches of government, but they’re going to be just as much responsible for bringing the Republican party down. America is losing it’s tolerance for bullshit.

  60. Ninetoe says:

    #58
This is why I only listed one lie from the left because I knew you couldn’t handle more than one at a time. You guys went nuts when all these liberal websites put up what Bill O’reilly said about the Iraq war. “See see, he is a flip flopper. He said we should stay now he says we should go.” He did not mean we should cut and run, (like Murtha) he was saying we need to get out as soon as we can. And that is what we all think. But only when the job is finished.

If Rush is a druggie then anyone who has ever been hooked on any drug of any kind is a druggie. If Rush’s houskeeper got them for him, who got Kennedy’s for him. Where he got them is not important. Rush admitted it then checked in to rehab, Kennedy nearly killed some one. Lied about what happened, changed his story then held a press conference and went to rehab. Why in the world would you think one is any different from the other. Plus, if you will go back you will find a whole list of Kennedy’s “mistakes” over the last several years. Bret Favre…. also a druggie? Tell him to his face, I know where he lives and I would be glad top take you there. If you will finish the entire paragragh of Rush’s you will find he was speaking of ILLEGAL narcotics. Your test is if you have a D after your name your a victim, if there is an R after your name your a druggie hypocrite. There in lies the difference, I see two people who made a bad choice and I said a prayer for them BOTH. And I hope they BOTH come out clean and never make the same mistake again.

  61. Jay says:

Maybe that slut bitch Daryn Kagan will fight
his fight for him. I hear she’s been on an
    all protein diet.

  62. Ninetoe says:

    #59
I don’t see you sighting any lies of Rush or any one else. Just he is a liar, liar, liar.
I’ve sighted only one lie of the left about what Bill O’reilly said (or meant). Deal with it first then I will give you some more.

  63. JIMBO says:

Randy, anyone on this blog including myself would be more than willing to meet
Rush in a deserted alley and give him an education on how not to threaten those who practice the right to call him a big fat idiot. After we give him the education that he deserves, he can come to you crying and you can show your compassion the way a mountain man shows compassion for Ned Beatty.

  64. Clif says:

ninetoe…on a caller supposedly from Iraq (after the caller about this thread)rush states the following We know what happened when we left Mogadishu, when we left Somalia with victory in our hands, and Clinton decided to pull out

that is a bold faced lie we had NO victory in our hands…the mission was to help the UN feed stareving people not attack any one and “win” anything

Rush must have taken an extra hit of oxycodone after hearing a truthocution

  65. Jane E. Schneider says:

Ninetoe, Zookeeper, thanks for the vote of confidence on my sanity :D Believe me, it’s usually temporary.

Ninetoe, I usually try to get past the knee-jerk reaction, although some of the ‘trolls’ can get me more argumentative. But I’m getting tired of arguing, and I’d love to see everyone, politicians, talking heads, bloggers, everyone, just sit back, take a deep breath, and try to understand each other and talk rationally. For instance, we ALL know that something has to be done about border security, but the proposals made by both sides are ludicrous, unreasonable, compassionless, unworkable, and expensive. It seems as though one side pronounces an idea, then the other side has to come up with an idea that’s diametrically opposed. Is there no middle ground or point of agreement? I believe that, once you find one or two ideas that conservatives and liberals can agree on, you should be able to find more. After all, we are all human – more or less ;-) – so we should be able to find much more common ground than we currently are willing to admit to.

  66. JP says:

  67. IraqVet says:

    Here you go ninetoe!

You wanted lies, well here they are. I could post more (lots more) but I wanted to add some of his distortions as a bonus!

    ============================================================

LIMBAUGH: On Bill Clinton: “Never trust a draft dodger.” (Radio show, quoted in FRQ, Summer/93)

REALITY: Although a supporter of the Vietnam War, Limbaugh used a minor physical impairment to avoid the draft (Minneapolis Star Tribune, 9/27/93).

LIMBAUGH: “Anita Hill followed Clarence Thomas everywhere. Wherever he went, she wanted to be right by his side, she wanted to work with him, she wanted to continue to date him…. There were no other accusers who came forth after Anita Hill did and said, ‘Yeah, Clarence Thomas, he harassed me, too.’ There was none of that.” (TV show, 5/4/94)

REALITY: Hill could not have continued to date Thomas, since they never dated. Two other women, Sukari Hardnett and Angela Wright, came forth in the Thomas case with similar charges.

LIMBAUGH: “It has not been proven that nicotine is addictive, the same with cigarettes causing emphysema [and other diseases].” (Radio show, 4/29/94)

REALITY: Nicotine’s addictiveness has been reported in medical literature since the turn of the century. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop’s 1988 report on nicotine addiction left no doubts on the subject; “Today the scientific base linking smoking to a number of chronic diseases is overwhelming, with a total of 50,000 studies from dozens of countries,” states Encyclopedia Britannica’s 1987 “Medical and Health Annual.”

LIMBAUGH: “Ladies and gentlemen, we now know why there is this institutional opposition to low tax rates in the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. It’s because [low tax rates] are biblical in nature and in root. When you can trace the lowering of tax rates on grain from 90 percent to 20 percent giving seven fat years during the days of Pharaoh in Egypt, why then you are tracing the roots of lower taxes and rising prosperity to religion…. You can trace individual prosperity, economic growth back to the Bible, the Old Testament. Isn’t it amazing?” (Radio show, 6/28/93)

REALITY: Amazingly wrong. Genesis 41 is about the wisdom of instituting taxes, not cutting them. After Pharaoh had a dream that prophesied seven fat years to be followed by seven lean years, Joseph advised him to “appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years…and lay up corn under the hands of Pharaoh.” In other words, a 20 percent tax on the grain harvest would put aside food for use during the famine. Pharaoh took Joseph’s advice, and Egypt avoided hunger during the famine.

LIMBAUGH: “Oh, how they relished blaming Reagan administration policies, including the mythical reductions in HUD’s budget for public housing, for creating all of the homeless! Budget cuts? There were no budget cuts! The budget figures show that actual construction of public housing increased during the Reagan years.” (Ought to Be, p. 242-243)

REALITY: In 1980, 20,900 low-income public housing units were under construction; in 1988, 9,700, a decline of 54 percent ;Statistical Abstracts of the U.S).In terms of 1993 dollars, the HUD budget for the construction of new public housing was slashed from $6.3 billion in 1980 to $683 million in 1988. “We’re getting out of the housing business. Period,” a Reagan HUD official declared in 1985.

LIMBAUGH: “You better pay attention to the 1993 budget deal because there is an increase in beer and alcohol taxes.” (Radio show, 7/9/93)

REALITY: There were no increases in beer and alcohol taxes in the 1993 budget.

LIMBAUGH: On Iran-Contra special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh: “This Walsh story basically is, we just spent seven years and $40 million looking for any criminal activity on the part of anybody in the Reagan administration, and guess what? We couldn’t find any. These guys didn’t do anything, but we wish they had so that we could nail them. So instead,we’re just going to say, ‘Gosh, these are rotten guys.’ They have absolutely no evidence. There is not one indictment. There is not one charge.” (TV show, 1/19/94)

REALITY: Walsh won indictments against 14 people in connection with the Iran-Contra scandal including leading Reagan administration officials like former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger and former national security advisers Robert McFarlane and John Poindexter. Of the 14, 11 were convicted or pleaded guilty. (Two convictions were later overturned on technicalities–including that of occasional Limbaugh substitute Oliver North.)

LIMBAUGH: Limbaugh constantly tells his audience that he doesn’t make personal or ad hominem attacks. To a caller who had a problem with his personalized attacks, Limbaugh responded with a denial: “Give me a specific example: who, what, when, where, and what exactly did I say?” (Radio show, 2/18/94)

REALITY: One hour before that call, Limbaugh was telling his audience that a 5,000-year-old man found buried in ice–pictured on the cover of Time magazine–was really Sally Jesse Raphael: “This is just what Sally Jesse Raphael looks like without makeup!”

Should I call you Eighttoe now? Because you clearly cannot count the number of lies that is being told to you daily and looking for the SINGULAR liberal counterpoint to try and justify your position is a petty, worthless, and futile arguement!!! It seems that the TRUTH have 10 or more points to your ONE!

A rebuttal is not necessary, because wiping the sh*t off of your face may take a while!

why do you feel so threatened by them?

isn’t it nice how your republican leaders have divided our country and gotten americans to hate other americans? very patriotic of them.

they LOVE people like you: irrational, chest-puffing blowhards that think with their small dicks rather than their underdeveloped brains.

you people are so easy to manipulate. try and remember that next time you vote…

    Comment by Mad — June 2, 2006 @ 7:54 am

    Mad,

Threatening to kill people does not add any credibility to your point of view. (The same advice goes to the president, by the way.) Nor do grammatically challenged sentences, for that matter.

  80. Antagonist says:

You guys are pathetic! A caller mentions the incident in Haditha, then leaps to the conclusion that Iraq is a disaster—and wants Rush to admit it! Think about how ridiculous this is. Suppose ThinkProgress posted a retraction for a comment made in error, and I responded with, “Are all of you now willing to admit that ThinkProgress engages in irresponsible jounalism, and therefore should not be trusted”? Would anyone here be willing to admit that? Of course not! That’s the problem with the left in this country—You use a form of argumentation and a level of scrutiny on your opponents that you do not apply to youselves or your own positions. Inconsistency! And inconsistency is the sign of a failed argument—which pretty much sums up all of your arguments.

  81. Bush Bites says:

I’m not a “lib”–i’m an independent who votes for both parties, though I’m probably registering Dem because of Bush–but I’d be ready for a civil war, Mad.

Better yet, let’s just forget about the war and split up the country. You White Trash Republicans can have the South. We won’t stop you this time.

    Go ahead, secede.

  82. Bush Bites says:

    Ha.

    Yeah, 80.

Except for Haditha, Iraq is a rousing success.

  83. Bush Bites says:

    Ha.

    Yeah, 80.

Except for Haditha, Iraq is a rousing success.

  84. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    #80 Antagonist,

If you had looked into this story, you would have learned that Rush was wrong. He thought the caller was somebody else and went off on him demanding that he reveal his “true indentity”. And he didn’t answer the caller’s question, either.

And Iraq is a disaster, and if you can’t see that, then there is little point in your paying attention to politics, since you apparently choose to believe whatever this adminsitration, filled from top to bottom with liars, is telling you. So, please, go away and have a lousy weekend.

  85. Antagonist says:

    #83

There are many successes in Iraq—they’re just not reported. Rush knows this, that’s why he wasn’t going to admit Iraq is a disaster. By the way, the incident in Haditha is alleged at this point—nobody has any facts. The caller however, believed these allegations were his trump card in his anti-war argument, and I guess you do as well?
Or do you just have a mindless hatred for Bush (judging by your handle) and you applaud anything and everything that stands in defiance of him or his policies?

  86. Cyra Brown says:

#80-”leaps to the conclusion”? Surely you jest!?! As those “last throes” have been going on for a whole year now, (drama queens)I feel it is safe to say that if this is what ‘winning’ looks like, we’ve been had, but good. But, hey, to each their own. But Rush was sounding kind of fragile, there. All of this lying he has to do every day is clearly taking it’s toll on him. He should try Yoga, it will help him to relax, and reflect. He is clearly a troubled man, and no wonder!

  87. Antagonist says:

#84 Yes Wayne, I’ve looked into the story. I know all about how Rush thought it to be Mike Stark, but it was actually someone named Jack. What’s not clear is Mike’s comments about Jack filling in for him. It seems as though Jack was working with Mike as he was reading from a sheet of paper, but it’s also possible that Jack did this independantly of Mike. Either way it doesn’t really matter who it was—Mike or Jack. It was a stupid assertion that didn’t deserve an answer.

For the record, I don’t believe whatever this administration says. I hear their reports, I hear positive reports from soldiers in Iraq, and I’ve also read accounts of their accomplishments there. I hear the media’s reports of the insurgency, the civilian casualties, the rare misconduct of our soldiers, and I hear the anti-war arguments and the constant opposition from the Democrats. I believe the truth is somewhere between these extremes. You on the other hand, apparently feel there’s some point to your attention to politics because you believe everything you hear in the media.
I also plan to have great weekend—sorry to disappoint you.

The only sh*t involved here is the huge amount that is holding your ears apart. Do you have any ability at all to think for yourself? You pulled your your 4/29/94 quote on Nicotine and your 6/28/93 quote on taxes in the Bible WORD FOR WORD from the American Progress Action Fund website. I don’t have the time or the inclinatoin to search the web and find the other left wing websites that you plagerized. Think for yourself dude. Here, I’ll show you how.
    1. “Never trust a draft dodger.” That is not a lie, that is an opinion. You guys all want to hang George Bush for not showing up for guard duty one weekend. But it was OK for Clinton to say “I loath the military.” Now pay attention this is how you think for yourself. I knew Bill Clinton was not someone I wanted as a leader when he said “I didn’t inhale.” (uh oh…another druggie) Not because he had a joint in his hand but because he did not have the balls to make a decision. Either smoke it, or say no thanks. He just did what he thought those around him would like for him to do. I don’t give a rats rear end if he smoked it or not, but that told me he had no convictions. Go see if you can find that opinion written WORD FOR WORD on some right wing website. Good luck.
    2. 4/29/1994 On nicotine, I am not a smoker so all I know is what smokers have told me. That CIGARETTES are addictive. We all know too that there are all kinds of chemicals that are sprayed on those leaves. Could that be what is so addictive? I have read studies to support that opinion as well. Is he lying? I think more spin than lie. But I think I will do soem of my OWN research instead of just call some one a liar because American Progress said so.
    3. 6/28/1993 Again, please go read this story in the Bible. The lesson here is not about taxes. It is about A) trusting God and B) planning ahead. Well, I guess planning ahead could be considered taxing. Pharaoh had a dream, (acually he had two dreams) Joseph told him there would be 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine. Joseph told Pharaoh he can not interpret the dream but God would. So Pharoah had to trust that Joseph was not a loon, so therefore he also had to trust God. He suggested they should put back 1/5 of the grain harvested during the years of plenty to prepare for the years of famine. As far as taxes go maybe we should learn that
%20 is plenty if we USE IT WISELY. What do you think the tax rate was during the years of famine? Do you think it stayed at %20? Do you think they took %50 percent from the big farms and only %5 from the small ones. The Bible does not say. The Bible also teaches to give your “first fruits” back to God which ends up being %10 of your income. Do you beleive we should all do that? You should not pick and choose what parts of the Bible you want to follow.
Let me end on this, has Rush lied? YES. Did Bill Clinton lie? YES. But Rush is a freakin’ talk show host. There is a big difference. But, if you don’t like Rush you can change the channel. So let’s keep them all acountable, politicians and talk show hosts. But we can only do that by being honest with ourselves. Just because there is a D or R after someone’s name does not instantly make them right OR wrong.

When you parsed my comment, you left this first sentence off—For the record, I don’t believe whatever this administration says, then you left off the concluding sentence—I believe the truth is somewhere between these extremes. You then launched into a tirade, accusing me of Bush worshipping, and of being a traitor. Your entire diatribe is based on fantasy. You’ve intentionally ignored the context of my comments in order to insert your own reality, typical of the intellectual dishonesty exhibited by the left and you have the audacity to accuse me and ninetoe of having no conscience and no soul, when you yourself has not a shred of decency, fairness, or honesty. But in answer to one of your questions—No, I would not trade my life here for one in Iraq. However, if I had to choose between living in Iraq now, or living in Iraq under Saddam—I would choose to live in iraq now. Only a loyal, left-wing, Bush-hating, dishonest puppet would say otherwise.

I’m still wondering where YOUR decency, fairness, and honesty are. Show us O-enlightened one. be the shining example that we all can follow. After all your ideology is better than mine—isn’t it? So far the only thing you’ve demonstrated is a continued failure to address any issue. You’ve also modeled incoherency and how to sputter out sentence fragments. But your most glittering jewel of ignorance is shown in the way you hurl insults at straw-men like a scatter gun. The left is supposed to be more tolerant and more understanding than the right—isn’t that what you believe? You guys are supposed to be the indepndent-free thinkers among us—right? You obviously believe that you’re smarter than everyone on the right, but you act like a moron. I’ve noticed that you rarely have any interaction with anyone on this comment boards—did you ever wonder why? It’s because you sound like an idiot! I have to believe that you’re smarter than the way you sound though—so if I were you, I’d change my handle and start fresh. Try actually engaging someone in a conversation for a change. Find out why they believe what they believe—share why it is you believe the way you do. Yeah sure someone is bound to challenge your beliefs, just don’t be a baby about it. Iraq, Positive? Antagonist must be taking Rush’s meds, because the positive factor is that they caught Saddam, otherwise there is nothing positive about INVADING a country to promote democracy that they clearly DO NOT want! You call 2000+ soldiers dead positive? You call tens of thousands of soldiesr wounded with limited health care (thanks to Bush) positive? You call tens of thousands of Iraq citizens dead positive? You call $3 (a gallon) for gas positive? You call being HATED by the world positive? You call over a million dead in Darfur positive? You call the destruction of New Orleans and the inept handling by an IDIOT president positive?

But, hey! Bush will support WARLORDS and othere crooks as long as they say he’s an okay guy! The mere fact that YOU TROLLS would try and excuse the incompetent and irresponsible governing of this country, leads me to believe that you’d rather INCEST as an option to gay marriage?

I am not for gay marriage, but I RESPECT the option that as long as they are law abiding citizens, then it is not the right of anyone to tell those people how to live. My personal beliefs should not be turned into a political point for votes! Otherwise, then it is my personal belief that BUSH should be brought up on WAR CRIMES and placed in jail for his destructive and inept handling of this fiasco in Iraq!

I would welcome HIM becoming the first President in history to be jailed for crimes that we ALL know he committed!!! That’s a distinction I feel he has earned MANY times over!

IraqVet, first thank you for your service, If you are a vet. If you are not but are claiming to be, you will smoke a giant turd in hell for that one.
Thank you as well for actually giving an opinion that we can work with here. Any one can just wizz by like this butt munch, papa pump-a- rump, turn on his bold letters, call some body gay a take off like like the chicken sh*t he is. But you and several others are making good points and bringing things to the table.

Don’t get me wrong I do not need to defend Rush, he does just fine without me. But when you just pluck a bunch of drivel off of the IhateRushwithahothothate.com, it should be looked at. Also understand, I am not a Republican, but I am a conservative. And I am none too happy with some things that the administration is doing right now. But I see the alternative, yikes. There is alot of bad things happening in Iraq, believe me I know that for a fact. But I also know, for a fact, that there are many good things too. Why don’t we hear about them? Is it because the liberal media wants us to lose? Get real, all they want is to sell papers and attract viewers. As they say “If it bleeds it leads”. Whose fault is that? Ours. All the things you listed are bad, but 3$ gas how in the hell is that Bush’s fault. I thought we were going over there to invade and steal all their oil. Shouldn’t that make gas cheaper? Gas is high because oil is high, and you can thank that little sawed off idiot in Iran for about 10 bucks of that $70 a barrel. And we are hated in the world because we are the big dog right now. Who else are they going to hate. Just as Bush can do no right in your eyes, America can do no right in the world’s eyes. You blame Bush for everything, they blame the US for everything. It matters not who is in the White House. Katrina, what should we learn from that. That Bush is a racist, please give it a rest people. I learned this lesson long before that hurricane hit, DON”T RELY ON THE GOVERNMENT FOR ANYTHING. Rely on yourself and your friends and family. Gay Marriage, why should we care? (heterosexuals I mean). The government has no business having anything to do with who marries who. That is between you and God, the government got into it for the tax money. You are right, it should not be used by one party or the other to gain leverage. See, we do agree on some things. If you have time please go back to #89 and tell me your thoughts. Thanks

I wanted to congratulate most of the liberal posters on this subject. With the name-calling and fact-less comments left on this thread, it makes me feel much better about being a part of the party that tries to make positive contributions instead of spending all their time looking for ways to tear their opponents down.

What really honks you clowns off it that RUSH IS RIGHT–for you to succeed, America must fail.

    Dear Rotgut Republiscum,

…You and the scum who bore you are TRAITORS to this nation…

…your “party” is destroying the fabric of American unity and democracy…

…your “party” is the party of racism, bigotry, hypocrisy, corruption, mass murder, war profiteering, torture, crimes against humanity, facism…

    …and on and on…

    OOPS! nothing “POSITIVE” there…

…I DO look forward to the day when your gene pool is eradicated…

…you’re a viral cultist with an inbred incestuous flaw…

…human beings (ALL progressive liberals worldwide) need to be innoculated against your debilitating character flaws and imbecilic nature…

    as for “tearing (you) down”…

…you scumbags are doing a FINE job of that in front of the entire planet…

…all by your Bush/Cheney/axis of evil worshipping selves…

Rush, Sean Hannity and others rarely debate callers on an equal level. They often state that this is their show and they cut callers off when ever they feel like it. This was a more extreme case.

  116. Sam says:

Rush Limbaugh is a druggie so he’s not in his right mine

And yet, he can still spell better than you. Keep your uneducated remarks to yourself and go pick up your welfare check.

  117. Mad says:

Say WMD. Now use it in a sentance.

  118. Denny says:

I thought the left was all about diversity and love. Don’t like getting your butts kicked in elections and your pathetic beliefs rejected, do ya? You seem to only be tolerant as long as someone agrees with you.
