I was against LONG before FNC or even CNN, but today it makes even less sense for the goverment to fund it. If you can't find what you want on cable then you can start your own channel, Al Gore will even let you test drive your idea. To me it's as if we were to still fund construction of covered wagons. Damn good product for the time, can't argue that people can learn from constucting them, but when do you take the training wheels off the bike and make the company ride on their own? How in the holy hell is funding PBS “big brother” … ?

You obviously have no issue because you share their politics and agenda but for those who dont we are being forced to subsidize these same. If PBS had a conservative bent would you be as adamant about its public funding? You probably dont listen to the Rush L show how would you like to have to pay for it?

Also, please tell me, what plans do the Dems have that are of the “big brother” variety?
