Conservatives Hype ‘Danger,’ ‘Risks’ of Bush Trip, Claim He’s Getting ‘In the Face’ of Iraqi Terrorists

This morning on Fox News, anchor Jon Scott and Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI) focused much of their discussion about President Bush’s Iraq trip on the six-minute helicopter ride from the Baghdad airport to the Green Zone.

After saying a top U.S. goal is “to take the battle to where radical Islam would plan and strategize” for an attack, Hoekstra said “today the President is going in their face” by traveling to Iraq. Scott added, “[C]learly a trip like this is not without risk,” since Bush “had to jump on a helicopter and fly at low altitudes. … The fact he was willing to undertake some of those risks says a lot about his confidence in the future.”

Watch it:

Full transcript below:

SCOTT: Well, and you get the impression from reading the polls, that a lot of the American public has soured on the war in iraq and said, you know, thrown up their hands and said we can’t win. This is the President saying good guys can win, right?

HOEKSTRA: Well, not only can the good guys win, the good guys have to win. … This is a global war on terror. There are those in the radical Islamic movement who want to attack us on the homeland, and our objective is to win this war on terror, to take the battle to where radical Islam would plan and strategize and train for an attack against the United States, and today the President is going in their face with the elected government in Iraq and saying, “We’re going to win this and it’s essential that we win it. We have no choice.”

SCOTT: And from your position as a member of the Intelligence Committee — I mean, clearly a trip like this is not without risk. The President had to land in Baghdad, middle of the afternoon there, had to jump on a helicopter and fly at low altitudes and here we see the view from the press chopper that was accompanying the President, flying low altitudes into the Green Zone. The fact he was willing to undertake some of those risks says a lot about his confidence in the future.

HOEKSTRA: Oh, absolutely. I’ve made that trip a number of times from the Baghdad airport down to the Green Zone. The President is willing to take those risks because he understands the risk of not winning this global war on terror. You know, there are some in Congress who are willing to cut and run and the President knows that’s exactly the wrong thing to do. If we allow these people to have a safe haven in Iraq or somewhere else, they will use the opportunity not to build a free and better Iraq and Middle East. They will use it to plan, to train, and to finance attacks against our interests around the world, but most importantly our interests here in the United States.

  1. itsaputon says:

It’s DANGEROUS in Iraq, but not as dangerous as DC.

  2. kindness says:

God I wish he would get into the face of Iraqi insurgents.

He’s too much a chickenhawk to be so manly.

  3. Humanist says:

A coward president for a cowardly populace. You fools will swallow anything.

  4. Austin says:

Brave President, or Bravest President Ever?

  5. wharfratz says:

I thought he would ride his bike.

  6. Rob says:

I hope he wore his codpiece!

  7. dubya says:

..yeah stay there a week cowboy THEN talk to the people of this nation. Oh I nearly forgot you HAD that chance once but you had to go work on some Senators re-election campaign.

  8. Rob says:

I hope he wore his codpiece!

That shot from Fox looks eerily reminds me of a shot from “Triumph of the Will”

  9. Frustrated says:

So if he’s so brave why don’t he go for a walk through Baghdad. shoot now that would be brave. I knew thats what this was about. Bush” See I took a helicopter ride over the green zone. Are we cool now American people? No!

  10. Zookeeper says:

That’s what was bugging me this morning, all the hype about how dangerous this trip has been. It’s a lot of time, money, and fuel for a 5 hours photo op and proof of testicle ownership.

He didn’t even have the courtesy to let the head of Iraq (forgot his name) know he was arriving. That’s dangerous in my book — don’t even think about showing up without calling…

  11. cynicalgirl says:

How can they call him “brave” when things are going so great over there? They’re welcoming us as liberators and the insurgents are in their last throes.

  12. Zookeeper says:

Is that supposed to be Bush hanging out the back of the helicopter?

  13. Spudge_Boy says:

I am sure he was either:

    1) Wearing his flight suit costume

    or

    2) Wearing his blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up costume.

Anybody know which costume Bush wore to the costume party/photo-op?

  14. Gideon S. says:

I thought the U.S. had made SOOOOOO much progress in Iraq that a simple thing like six-minute helicopter trip should be risk-free. Looks like the Bushites have temporarily switched their talking points for this publicity stunt

  15. Ken A. Grant says:

Well, at least they are now admitting that Iraq is not the bed of roses that they always claim it to be on Fox News. Nice to know that the President backed them into the corner of admitting that his war has largely been disasterous, so much so that a ride from the airport to the Green Zone is still so frought with danger.

I am not quite so certain that that will play as they intended.

    Ooops.

  16. Jaded Prole says:

I’d be more impressed if he paracheted into downtown Baghdad.

  17. Karl Rove says:

It was certainly a brave thing for the President to do. Only a leftist anti-patriot would condemn the commander-in-chief for visiting the war zone. I know it would make you giddy with excitement to see the President fire off the 50MM but quite frankly he has a country to run and support to lend to his Republican party. See you at the polls!

  18. Wayne says:

Getting in their face would be if he went on patrol with some of the troops out of the green zone.
    Brave? Yeah right.
Fox News should change their name to Fox Comedy, their right wing rhetoric is to the point that it is so stupid, its funny as hell.

  19. GSD says:

Silly TP-ers. The Bush Republicans can have all things all ways. Iraq is either the very dangerous place ready to be overtaken by Al Qaeda at any moment or it is the new beacon of hope and democracy in the middle east where the insurgency is in its last throes and the terrorists are getting routed and turned in by the Iraqis. It all depends on what is needed on any given day.

Bush is either winning the war on terrorism by killing all of the Muslims “ragheads” or he is the Great Emancipator offering freedom and religious plurality. See how simple it is to play both sides at all times?

Democrats are anti-Muslim and anti-Arab bigots for their position on the Dubai Ports Deal and Republican Ann Coulter is saying what needs to be said without regards to political correctness when she says we should “invade their countries, kill their men and convert their women and children to Christianity”……See, one way or another, they always win.

    -GSD

  20. TC says:

A two hour “in-and-out visit” to a secure bunker is supposed to make us think there is progress in Iraq? I don’t think so. It’s all a photo op. And the media will eat it up.

  21. unbelievable says:

Rep. King: My Wife ‘Is At Far Greater Risk Being a Civilian In D.C. Than An Average Civilian In Iraq’

  22. Obie says:

There shouldn’t be any danger. Rep. King spoke last night on the house floor claiming that his wive is in more danger living in DC than in Baghdad. So that claim, I would think, should apply to anyone living in DC, including the president. Fox news has is wrong again. The president should be very safe while visiting Iraq. He would be in greater danger when he returns to the white house.

  23. WC says:

It was certainly a brave thing for the President to do. Only a leftist anti-patriot would condemn the commander-in-chief for visiting the war zone. I know it would make you giddy with excitement to see the President fire off the 50MM but quite frankly he has a country to run and support to lend to his Republican party. See you at the polls!

    Comment by Karl Rove — June 13, 2006 @ 2:30 pm

You mean he has a country to run into the ground, just as he did 3 companies in his pre-political career.

  24. unbelievable says:

I thought the King was supposed to lead the troops into battle, and then fight with his own sword?

  25. dlet says:

The only reason Bush went to Iraq was because Rep. King briefed him on how safe it was. Bush being the yellow-belly he is was suprised DC was so dangerous and ran to the safer of two capitals. Only when he got there he realized it wasn’t so and his peanut sized balls got even smaller and he high-tailed it out of there as soon as possible. Moron and coward. George Dumbya Bush.

  26. WC says:

I want to see Bush stay in Baghdad a week to monitor the progress there. If we are to listen to the administration and believe that things are improving daily, he’ll be safer in 7 days than he is today.

  27. dlet says:

I’d be more impressed if he paracheted into downtown Baghdad.

    Comment by Jaded Prole

…without a parachute. Now that’s something I would like to see.

  28. For Truth says:

Actually it was a little risky for Chimperor, he could have been shot down, oh well.

  29. Juan C says:

    There goes a brave leader!!!

  30. Tobey Tall says:

Things must be bad for Bush hes taking risks now

  31. krazny says:

I think this shows a certian amount of desperation on neo-cons part. Bush had to make a trip to Iraq, even a quick one, to attempt to reassure the American public, and to tell the Iraqi’s to get thier shit together.

Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

  32. OxyCon says:

I thought Iraq was a safe place…a great place to take the family vacation. At least this is the impression I get from watching Fox/Saudi News.
    Which is it?
Is Iraq a safe, wonderful place for the whole family, or a godforesaken hellhole strife with sectarian violence?
I wish right wingers would make up their minds.

  33. moderated says:

I also learned these interesting facts from the same Fox News broadcast:
*The President is loved by all children!
*The President can kill terrorists with mind bullets (that’s telekinesis, Kyle!)
    [Moderated by admin.]

  34. Tobey Tall says:

Bush would not go on a helicopter ride He took the tube

  35. Grand Moff Texan says:

he understands the risk of not winning this global war on terror

Which is why Bush gave the terrorists a new training ground in Iraq?

    Ignorant filth.
    .

  36. Tobey Tall says:

Tell you what the spin is its the 2500 military death coming up today its spin

  37. Solitaire says:

What? No pics of him with his army suit and gear on? No riding around in a tank with his head sticking out? Just sneaked in and sneaked out and we’re supposed to be impressed? I’ll be impressed when he does something that really takes guts, like admitting his mistakes and doing the right thing on occassion. Like risking something for PEACE. Like listening to someone who DOESN’T agree with him. But this man has no real courage. He’s a paper tiger with a flame at his foot.

  38. jones says:

I thought there was tons of good news in Iraq. I mean isnt DC way more dangerous that Iraq? Suddenly its dangerous when the prez wants to play tough. I wonder if he was dressed like a sniper.

  39. katy says:

it’s too bad he’d not seen baghdad before, so he would be able to understand what a mess he’s made these past few years…

  40. Al says:

Oh, puh-leeze! Getting ‘In the Face’ of Iraqi Terrorists??? He won’t even get anywhere near us “dangerous” liberal/progressive/peacenik types in his own country! Heaven forfend we should utter a word of criticism in his presence – he might melt down like the Wicked Witch of the West…

  41. motherlowman says:

Exactly, Al. He wouldn’t face down a mom at the end of his driveway.

  42. kriss says:

Dangerous chopper flight? or More dangerous armored car ride to the green zone? My bet is that the chopper is much safer. Can’t hide IED’s in the clouds.

  43. Keith H. says:

    #33 . . . Jeb . . . . Dude, I laughed so freaking hard, tears were streaming out!

  44. theswan says:

The “chickenhawk” getting in the face of terrorists? What a line of BS.

  45. Pat Robertson says:

The Symbol above is the sign for Jesus Christ, not the sign of the Luciferian Volos, Molech, that Bush adheres too. Bush Worships Volos. I am Sorry that I have mislead you -Pat Roberston

  46. theswan says:

I bet he walked the main streets of Bagdad with Saddam’s pearl handled pistols strapped to his hips. And they probably glistened in the afternoon sun. He hasn’t shown such courage since he flew over New Orleans a week after the carnage. America’s true hero, this president.

  47. lib4 says:

Im surprised Rove et al didnt stage some fake gunfire on his way in…..

  48. james risser says:

i flushed something more brave down the toilet earlier this morning…

  49. PowerCircle says:

Did Bush wear his special occasion jockstrap? I love that bulging special occasion package. Yum!

  50. oldtree says:

getting in the face of one, sounds like a good idea.

  51. krazny says:

funny the trolls seem to be avoiding this thread. I would have thought this would be a great place for them to speak out about the bravery of the Dear Decider.

  52. Mr. Evil says:

How about that caption FOX had under the picture: Bush took dangerous chopper ride to Green Zone. That’s so funny I can’t stand it! Anything to bring those shitty poll numbers back up.

Hey George, you want to be brave? Say mission accomplished again and bring the troops home. We don’t need Iraq’s oil. We’re smart enough to run our cars on anything we damn well set our minds to. Ethanol, hydrogen, compressed natural gas, electricty, etc. So, let them… oh… wait a minute. You’re an oil man. Sorry, never mind.

  53. Benny Hill says:

Big Deal ! My kid rode one of those in front of K-Mart last weekend. 3 minutes/50 cents

  54. theswan says:

Monday’s Camp David stratgy meeting really paid off. We all got a real media show as a result of the cabral get together. Money and resources well spent. Just imagine getting all these freaks to come up with this one. Perfect campaign fodder and it cost the pukes nothing. America’s finest, so they say.

  55. GregM says:

Sorry Fox News, not impressed. If he really wants to get in the terrorist face then take a tour in an unarmoured humvee from Baghdad to Falluja to Tikrit to Mosul.

  56. Sneelock says:

Bush put his OWN ass on the line for a matter of minutes!!
he can chew his own food! LOOK, he’s walking already!!
I can’t wait to get another Dem in the White House just to be spared the NAUSEA of this “look at our big boy” horseshit that we’ve been getting shoved down our throats since Day ONE.

Has any man ever had so many people patting his heads and pinching his cheeks? I could just BARF!

  57. Briseadh na Faire says:

“[T]oday the President is going in their face” Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI)

That’s right, folks, Mr. “Bring ‘em on!” Commander-in-Chief is going in the face of the enemy. Shortly after killing one of the more popular insurgent leaders Zarqawi, the Commander-in-Chief of the American Armed Forces landed in Baghdad following a daring 6-minute helicopter ride. Due to the high level of secrecy surrounding the visit, the “Mission Accomplished” banner was not displayed.

While some may revel in this “in their face” move, I wonder if this will have the same result as “bring ‘em on.”

Bush gets a photo-op. People die.

Where have all the flowers gone?

  58. Tread says:

#36, that’s exactly what this little stunt is trying to hide.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head.

Today or tomorrow we hit 2,500 American troops killed in this idiot’s war. Congratulations Mr. Bush, you’re well on your way to giving America “Vietnam 2.0″.

    Can we impeach him yet?

  59. krazny says:

    #58,

I am not gay, but I would be willing to give him a blow job, if it meant we could impeach him.

  60. Juan C says:

    CAPTION CONTEST!!!:
    “Mr. President!!!!!!”

  61. Drew Mackenzie says:

There’s no act of diplomacy in this situation that requires his personal presence and can be completed in five hours.

The only question is whether it’s a stupid PR stunt or if he’s smuggling somthing out of the country on Air Force One.

  62. Dyan says:

Another expensive brilliantly staged photo-op. I guess Karl is in his best form since Fitzgerald punked out and didn’t charge is ass.

  63. Juan C says:

  64. Zookeeper says:

#59 – How about we all chip in $1 each to send Krazny to give GWB his hummer?

  65. bob says:

“Dangerous chopper ride”? Why won’t the liberal media report some of the good news from Iraq?

  66. krazny says:

I would probably have to buff up some first. You know look like Jeff Gannon to get into the white house.

  67. unbelievable says:

How about we all chip in $1 each to send Krazny to give GWB his hummer?
    Comment by Zookeeper — June 13, 2006 @ 4:13 pm

Does Delta take food stamps and welfare checks…? (You know, that’s what the neocons think all we liberals have financially. Guess our IRA are just figments of our imagination?)

Count me in for a buck :)

  68. another disaster fly over...lol says:

What’s the big deal? Iraq is safer then DC…right?

He flies our Marine 1 all over DC.

  69. OMG Another Disaster Fly Over says:

What’s the big deal? Iraq is safer than DC…right?

He files our Marine 1 all over DC.

  70. krazny says:

    Unbelievable,

that is one thing I don’t get about the right. according to them the left is all pot smoking skids, with no jobs, and living in thier parents basement. At the same time the left is part of a massive well organized communist conspiracy to overthrow world governments, and redristrubte all the wealth into the hands of poor.

I don’t think these two things would work together too well.

  71. Jay Randal says:

Bush is in ZERO danger! If he was the coward would not be in Iraq > lol.

  72. Zodd says:

How come the right call Bush a brave president when he’s in Washington, a place even ore dangerous than Baghdad? Are they anti-Bush or something? I need a straight answer!

  73. Zodd says:

Oops, I mean to put “the right doesn’t”.

  74. Zodd says:

Oops, I meant to put “the right doesn’t”.

  75. Zookeeper says:

I would probably have to buff up some first.
    Comment by krazny

    Another fantasy dashed…

  76. krazny says:

    LOL

    zookeeper

    ;P

  77. Gilligan says:

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a photo op, That started from this desert port, aboard this tiny ship. The pilot was a mighty flyin’ man, the Preznit a coward sure. Our president took flight that day for a six minute tour. A six minute tour.

  78. Godfry Daniel says:

When I saw this video I could think of only one thing:

Question: How can you kill women and babies in the name of your war on terror?
Bush: Simple. You just lead ‘em more.

  79. krazny says:

the quote your looking for Godfrey should read

A:simple you don’t lead them as much.

  80. GG says:

By “Green Zone” they could also be referring to the Iraqi oil fields. I do believe he would take a risk to go see the prize.

  81. Bill from Dover says:

… The fact he was willing to undertake some of those risks says a lot about his confidence in the future.”

And the fact that he had to sneak in says a lot about the present.

  82. ann says:

Let’s see Bush ride a ATV through Bagdad. That would be awesome.

  83. Ho Chi Minh says:

I wish he would walk the streets of Bagdad(outside the Green zone of course), without massive protection then have the balls to tell the Iraqi freedom fighters to “bring it on”.

  84. Jay Randal says:

Yeah real dangerous that 15 minute helicopter ride from Baghdad airport to the Green Zone is NOT! First time Bush went to Iraq he begged the pilot to turn around and fly back to DC, but Rove told Dubya to get a grip that it was just going to be a one hour PR stunt, with a plastic turkey > lol.

  85. Lily says:

he has …support to lend to his Republican party.

    Comment by Karl Rove

Right, and screw the rest of the country!

  86. Lovey says:

….. The insurgents started getting rough, the big chopper was tossed
If not for the courage of Dunce W…the iraqis would be lost, the iraqis would be lost….

  87. The Betamax Guillotine says:

    Fluffers, Start Your Sucking…

Let the fluffing begin! This morning on Fox News, anchor Jon Scott and Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI) focused much of their discussion about President Bush’s Iraq trip on the six-minute helicopter ride from the Baghdad airport to the Green Zone….

  88. Seteo says:

How exactly was this dangerous? He was flown from the airport to the damn green zone…the GREEN ZONE. This is done by reporters and other important people everyday in Iraq…says a lot.

Now if he wants to live life on the edge he should try going out into the REAL Iraq and see what a real risk is. You know, the place where no western reporter dare go.

  89. Ken Daves says:

I wish he would go to Mt. Merapi and dive in.

Then, maybe, I could respect him for finally gaining a conscience and doing the right thing.

I think it shows that we own that country, also, the way he dropped in unannounced. I like the suggestion that he was on the way to the world cup but diverted because the US was losing. I don’t know if it’s true, but it seems true of bush.

And if it’s dangerous, then I don’t want FOX to ever talk about things in Iraq being anything other than very dangerous.

  90. purvis ames says:

Look at the poor stooge, Mr. Maliki. He doesn’t look too happy about having to entertain his uninvited guest. Bush has obviously gone completely insane.

  91. War4Sale says:

    HAHAHA!!! That’s pure desperation.

  92. Marie says:

Bush – take risks? AWOL Bush? Silver-spoon born Bush? Daddy-protected Bush? Chicken shit Bush? Costume-wearing Bush? Gimme a break.

  93. JP says:

Did he land on a freaking aircraft carrier this time?

  94. CLUBBER WORFEUS says:

Well I for one think it was a smart move, politically. The summit, then going to Iraq directly like that, its gonna rally his base I think, and also impress some fencesitters.

Was it a photo op? Sure.

But if we just dimiss it, and don’t realize that the right wing is on the move, we’re gonna be scratchin our asses come November.

  95. Scat says:

    *Hands Worfeus a Band-Aid*

You’ve already been scratching it for so long it’s starting to bleed.

  96. Phil says:

You know what got me about this trip? Other than the purported danger? The fact that Bush apparently feels it completely appropriate to just “drop in” on another head of state on five minutes notice. Five minutes was all the time al-Maliki was between when he was told Bush was coming and when he arrived. If you want anyone to believe Iraq is a functioning, sovereign nation, maybe we could start by treating their government as something other than a bunch of random people we’ve chosen as props.

  97. CLUBBER WORFEUS says:

Don’t get me wrong. I see right through this cheap stunt.

Don’t think for two seconds I think Bush did a “good” thing.

I think it was really smart photo op, but does anyone doubt that if Bush cared about the troops, he would’ve done something like this before he dropped in the polls, before his presidency (if you can call it that) was in big trouble?

  98. Keefer says:

riding a convertable for the six miles from the airport to the green zone would really be impressive

  99. For Truth says:

Riding a convertable through Dallas, as a liberal, would be the most impressive.

  100. Jay Randal says:

WORFEUS I think most Americans see that Bush is an opportunist and does stunts like going to Iraq just to try to boost his approval ratings! The Zarqawi assassination actually has actually backfired on Bush, so Rove told him to get his ass over to Iraq for another photo op, but NO plastic turkey this time > lol.

  101. Jay Randal says:

Did not mean to use > actually > twice in a sentence, but it happened in error!

  102. WMD says:

Bush has shown what a “strong” president he is.
Unlike that “coward” Kerry, all he did was serve a war zone, get shot at by RPG chase down the enemy and kill him.

Bush flying over to Iraq for “6 hours” = COURAGOUS
Kerry serving 4 months combat and two tours = COWARD

    makes perfect logic

  103. Cyra Brown says:

Too bad he didn’t have an advance notice that Rove was not being indicted, could have saved this distraction for another occassion. Rats!!

  104. Sam says:

    holy flying chopper batman!

I’ve stopped trying to figure out what the hell is going on in W’s head.

At first, the W ain’t happy that MSM only shows bad stuff (i.e. people getting killed)

and W. ain’t happy ’cause the MSM is not showing all the *progress* taking place in Iraq….

but hey..when the good ol’ W goes down to Iraq to see how things are for such a long time (5 hrs are more than 4 after all) it’s ok for Iraq to be dangerous….it’s ok for W to take a “dangerous chopper ride” into the green zone…..whatever happened to rolling down the street in the good ol’ bulletproof limo? scared of RPGs maybe?

well…not all is lost….this has caused me to see the light….

    I finally know what W stands for….

Wanker….bloddy incompetent, egomaniac, shortsighted, negligent, ignorant, selfabsorbed, speech impaired / orally challenged wanker!!

  105. Paige says:

If conservatives, particularly at Fox News, have mastered anything down to a science, it’s:

Overshooting their load or prematurely doing so.

Sounds crude but I can’t sum it up more effectively than that.

  106. Paige says:

What did Stephen Colbert say about this administration?

That they: Produce the most powerful photo ops in the World!

So true and that is exactly what this Camp David-wear your LL Bean outfits Stunt was all about. So is this whopping 5 HOUR trip to Iraq. Why not give Bush himself a weapon and send him into the red zone if this war is so ‘noble’ and that ‘democracy in Iraq’ means so much to him? Why not give the troops who are on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th tour a break Mr. President. Go hop in a humvee with your green flightsuit costume on and take out the tairsts and the ‘Saddamists’ and the ‘rejectionists’. Go out and there and see that you’re right…there’s no civil war going on, there’s no insurgency, the Iraqis get more than 5-8 hours of electricity each day, the Iraqi people love us like you say they do, there was no massacre, Employment is booming, Oil production is booming, the streets are safe, the troops have all the equipment they need, go show us that the tairsts are in ‘their last throes if you will’, show us that all the car bombings are just Hollywood produced Media stagings from Univeral Studios, children aren’t being killed and blown to bits, Haliburton didn’t allow the Iraqi people and US Troops to drink/use toxic water, your Contracting friends aren’t ripping off the American people and the Iraqi people, nobody is being tortured, the Government is in control, the troops really want to be there and stay there…. now, go on, Mr Bush…go out and there and prove all of this to us! Go unbury the WMD’s..’they’re in the Tikrit region, around Baghdad, north, south, east and west somewhat.’ Call Rummy if you get lost, he knows where they are. So does Curt Weldon.Or call on Geraldo from Fox News, he can draw you a map in the sand.

You’ll be there for 5 hours..you can get a few things accomplished. Just come back another time soon and finish the rest. After all, your the biggest supporter of this war the one who is spending hundreds of billions of taxpayer money to fight it. Go show us it’s all going to a good cause. Go on now..the humvee is waiting. I know, I know, it’s 178 degrees outside..just take off your green flightsuit and put on a tank top and shorts…you’ll be FINE. If you get thirsty, stop by the Halliburton beverage stand. Go. The perfectly protected humvee is waiting. So are the 72% of US Troops that didn’t mean it when they said that they wanted out of Iraq between now and 1 year. They are elated you are joining them. Maybe a few soldiers can take it easy for a few hours while you fight the War that you started. I’m sure they’d appreciate it. Just think of all the photos you can bring back for your failing Republicans up for re-election!!

Paige- Are you angry? I’m getting the feeling that….never mind….

If only John Kerry had won the election, that helicopter photo would show him giving himself a purple heart for valor for staying with a decision long enough to get in the helicopter….

Riding a convertable through Dallas, as a liberal, would be the most impressive.

Apparently, and unfortunately, it wasn’t dangerous enough.

This proves that public opinion is of no interest or concern. They are providing the backstory to the media coverage that will confirm their story.

It’s even bad, simpleton propaganda, but these sub-humans realize something the public will not be able to consider (if they get their news from TV or newspapers) which is that no matter what, propaganda works.

They could say that bush and ken lay were not friends, and those people watching their tvs would believe them. They could say that bush and abramoff barely know each other, and they would be believed by enough people.

Propaganda is a prison of the mind. It is like the cyborgs. Painless, so why question it?

What will it take? What can we do?

Well think about this: In spite of the greatest propaganda matrix in history, at least 70 percent of the public hates bush. That is in spite of the propaganda. That means, even if the propaganda tool of media won’t address or acknowledge it, they are losing.

So now the only thing stopping us is the creation of the idea that we are not unified, that we are the fringe who are just bush-haters. (Count me in.)

Well, here we are. Together. They want us to believe we are being watched and listened to and so we can’t suggest a revolution, but our country has been taken away from us and we want it back!!

We don’t want to overthrow the United States of America, we want it returned from the thieves who have shat upon it through their theft of every public necessity for a functioning democracy: elections and the media.

We need to save our country. We do need to stop being lame and weak in our minds and we need to recognize it can happen right her.

    It is happening right here.

Let’s talk about how we can take it back. Try another election, but if (when?) that doesn’t work, we know what needs to be done.

The clown Bush stole the elections in 2000 & 2004, Please do not let it happen again!

If only the left could win an election, then there would be world peace…..except for terrorist attacks, confiscatory tax policies and intellectual dishonesty, the left could win elections..

  114. jimminy crouqette says:

there is no war on terror, there is no terror. The only terror that might exist is the threat from an american government. It was they who destroyed the twin towers in an attempt to ensure Islam was enemy number one, it was they who already knew they had to take Saddam Husains oil, it was they who have been poundin the american people with anti muslim, so called Islamic extremism media. It’s all a myth. If you believe what government controlled media is telling you, then you are even more naive than someone who believes what is written in the q’ran or bible. Propaganda to generate wealth for mr bush and all his closest friends, inluded in which are saudi arabia and france. Little men with a lot of power to play with everyones lives.
