Last Tuesday, Ann Coulter appeared on NBC’s Today Show and defended her comments that several 9/11 widows were “self-obsessed women…enjoying their husband’s death.” That evening, NBC News anchor and managing editor Brian Williams called Coulter’s remarks “over the line — the line that is shared by just about everybody because some things, it turns out, are still sacred.”
Nevertheless, Coulter is scheduled to appear Wednesday on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno:
“Tonight” host Jay Leno might want to consider wearing referee stripes on Wednesday’s show when Ann Coulter and George Carlin are his guests.
Coulter, the acid-tongued conservative with a new book out, and Carlin, the quick-witted, antiestablishment comedian who’s in the voice cast for the new animated film “Cars,” were booked at separate times for the NBC late-nighter, a spokeswoman said Monday.
Apparently, the line isn’t sacred enough for NBC to stop using Coulter and her extreme comments to pump up their ratings.
Carlin will decimate her.
June 13th, 2006 at 10:57 amIt’s all about the ratings, baby!
June 13th, 2006 at 11:02 amI hope she loses someone close by car accident, and is awarded a couple of million for damages, so she can see how being a millionare when you have lost someone you love, doesn’t do anything to lessen the pain
June 13th, 2006 at 11:02 amSorry, Bill Gant, it seems as if you’ve had that experience. I don’t think AC is capable of that kind of feeling for anyone, ever.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:05 amFour words for NBC execs: Steel cage death match.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:05 amIt will probably get some right wingers to watch the show and catch Leno’s scathing Bush jokes. I think Leno might have some considering the five hour Iraq visit by Bush, no?
June 13th, 2006 at 11:07 amIt will probably get some right wingers to watch the show and catch Leno’s scathing Bush jokes. I think Leno might have some considering the five hour Iraq visit by Bush, no?
June 13th, 2006 at 11:07 amThis is going to be great. I hope she get’s so frenzied from food deprivation she tries to hit Carlin and totally loses her shit.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:07 amWhomever the first guest is… I hope they STAY for the second guest so there CAN be a debate. But I am not getting my hopes up. And I agree TP, it’s aaaaaaall about the ratings.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:14 amAre they going to broadcast the show live?
If not live, we’ll see only the pre-packaged mess that advertisers want us to see.
Carlin could decimate him and we’d never know it. We’ll see both get a few zingers, but it’ll be editted so that both sides can legitimately claim that their pro held his own.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:15 amMaybe someone should suggest Carlin boycott the show.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:18 amThis is like a dream I’ve had.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:20 amWhat I want to see is AC on The Daily Show….
As for tonite…Carlin is good, but there’s just no debating with AC. She says her bile, then talks over the other guest when they begin to refute.
Shame on NBC…
June 13th, 2006 at 11:20 amAnn Coulter = Attention wh*re (afaic)
June 13th, 2006 at 11:24 amCarlin would kill her in a debate – but unfortunately it is impossible to debate Coulter.
Like all conservative pundits – she has perfected the art of talking over or ignoring any valid points… either they outright ignore the point and say something like Bill Clinton blah blah blah… or they just start spewing hate speech really really loudly why you are talking.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:36 amMSM be fu%$ing damned.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:38 amThey continue to destroy their own country every day.
Boycott? Bullshit! Why would George back down?
June 13th, 2006 at 11:43 amI cannot tolerate two seconds of Animosity Colter’s her voice before wanting to pull my ears off… Nails on a chalkboard are music next to her shrill pitch…
Someone with stronger senses will have to give us an update on how it goes. :)
June 13th, 2006 at 11:44 amFreakshow.
And yet it’s supposedly the left that is “angry.” That woman needs help. I mean, just because her anorexia didn’t help her land a job as some rich guy’s three-holed toy doesn’t mean she should be so bitter and angry about everything.
What a sad little creature.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:46 am.
I know what I will not watch Wednesday night. Al Gore is right air pollution is not doing anything for us. So too eye and ear pollution, watching and listening to this walking garbage bag. That Leno will do just about anything for ratings is long established. But I, nor anyone else, has to invite the pollution into their own homes. I personally will Boycott (good Irish word) Leno and write a nasty note to the execs at No Brain Content. With the likes of Coulter, Russert, and the rest of the right wing wackos in their stable, nothing surprises me. Keith Olberman is the only decent person on that network. He still has a functioning brain and knows how to use it. He has not lost his sense of smell either, and knows crap when he smells it.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:48 amWhat did Stephen Colbert say about this administration?
That they: Produce the most powerful photo ops in the World! So true and that is exactly what this Camp David-wear your LL Bean outfits Stunt was all about. So is this whopping 5 HOUR trip to Iraq. Why not give Bush himself a weapon and send him into the red zone if this war is so ‘noble’ and that ‘democracy in Iraq’ means so much to him? Why not give the troops who are on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th tour a break Mr. President. Go hop in a humvee with your green flightsuit costume on and take out the tairsts and the ‘Saddamists’ and the ‘rejectionists’. Go out and there and see that you’re right…there’s no civil war going on, there’s no insurgency, the Iraqis get more than 5-8 hours of electricity each day, the Iraqi people love us like you say they do, there was no massacre, stop by and see the troops at the Trauma Center in the hospitals to prove to Ann Coulter they’re faking it and just greedily looking for book deals, that Employment is rising rapidly, that Oil production is booming, that the streets are safe, that the troops have all the equipment they need, go show us that there aren’t any journalists risking their lives and that they are like Laura Ingraham said…only reporting from the balconies of their air conditioned hotels in the green zone, go show us that the tairsts are in ‘their last throes if you will’, show us that all the car bombings are just Hollywood produced Media stagings from Univeral Studios, go prove for Fox News that Zarqawi’s death made things so much better, show us that children and babies aren’t being killed and blown to bits, that Haliburton didn’t allow the Iraqi people and US Troops to drink/use toxic water, that the Iraqi troops are enormous and eager to fight, go show us that the Iraqi people are better off now than they were before you invaded their country, show us that your No Bid Contracting friends aren’t ripping off the American people and the Iraqi people, that nobody is being tortured, that the government is in control, that the troops really want to be there and stay there…. now, go on, Mr Bush…go out and there and prove all of this to us! Go unbury those pesky WMD’s..’they’re in the Tikrit region, around Baghdad, north, south, east and west somewhat.’ Call Rummy if you get lost, he knows where they are. So can Curt Weldon. Or call on Geraldo from Fox News, he can draw you a map in the sand.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:49 amA seamless continuum of hate runs from today’s governing conservatism through to its most extreme proponents. And that means the GOP differs only in degree – not in kind – from the cartoonish and sometimes criminal likes of Ann Coulter, Fred Phelps or Eric Rudolph.
For the full story, see:
June 13th, 2006 at 11:50 am“Ann Coulter and Conservatism’s Continuum of Hate”
I would like Carlin to ask Coulter this question. Is Ms. Coulter prepared to apply the same standard of behavior to Nancy Reagan that she applied to the 9/11 widows? Is she parepared to tell Nancy Reagan to stop using her victimhood as the wife/widow of an Alzheimenr’s patient, to influence the national debate on stem cell research? Nancy Reagan is a millionaire. Is Ms. Coulter prepared to tell Nancy Reagan to just take the money and shut up? Would she suggest that Ms. Reagan pose in Playboy as her daughter famously did? Perhaps Ms. Coulter would like to speculate on Ronald Reagan’s possible plans to divorce Nancy.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:51 amThis is “Must see TV”. We have been listening to AC spew the same bile for too long. There won’t be any debate but Carlin won’t miss an opportunity shed some humorous light on this shemale from hell.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:57 am#1. “Carlin will decimate her.”
Yes, he will. Question is, will the media allow it. And if they do, will the news the next day paint Carlin as a bully?
How will the media use this to their (administration’s) advantage?
June 13th, 2006 at 12:03 pm#23 – Very good point!
Someone should use those exact words to Ms. (Mr?) Coulter. “I agree with you! In fact, ALL grieving widows should just sut the h#!! up! Mrs. Reagan, shut the h#!! up and stop using the death of Fmr. Pres. reagan to influence the political debate!”
If AC had a shred of ethics (which she doesn’t) that would shut her the h#!! up!!!!!!!
June 13th, 2006 at 12:07 pmgo Carlin! rip her a new one!
June 13th, 2006 at 12:10 pmAll carlin knows how to do is swear. he was almost funny in the 70’s but he is aging dope-head now who does not know the 60’s are over yet. Coulter will tear him a new one if the debate does not degenerate into Carlin just swearing.
June 13th, 2006 at 12:11 pmWhile it would be interesting to see Coulter and Carlin together on Leno, my cable guide and the NBC.com/Tonight show site: guests tonight are Jack Black, Car-Parazzi Kids and Hard-Fi. Any other confirmation of the Coulter/Carlin appearances?
June 13th, 2006 at 12:20 pmChrisco
June 13th, 2006 at 12:29 pmGeorge Carlin is clean and sober, and has been for a long time. You ought to get your facts straight.
guests tonight are …
Comment by StM — June 13, 2006 @ 12:20 pm
Coulter is scheduled to appear Wednesday on NBC’s Tonight Show
June 13th, 2006 at 12:30 pmI hope Carlin dumps coffee (preferably hoot coffee) on that skank.
June 13th, 2006 at 12:30 pmOH, ANOTHER ASSHOLE ALERT!
O’Lielly will be on the Today Show tomorrow. Will Matt Lauer open wide again and swallow the right wing bullshit?
June 13th, 2006 at 12:32 pmStM, you’re looking at tonight’s schedule. Carlin will be on tomorrow.
#25 Bill Maher appeared on the Tonight show several times. Although he doesn’t swear like Carlin, he’s just as good at offending people.
June 13th, 2006 at 12:34 pmI hope they have Coulter and Carlin on at the same time.
June 13th, 2006 at 12:41 pmCarlin will eat her alive.
I stopped watching Leno when he became Ahnold’s de facto campaign manager.
First the Today Show now the Tonight Show. Does NBC stand for “Nut Bag Coulter”?
June 13th, 2006 at 12:42 pmIt’s too bad it’ll be on network TV and not cable. Carlin is especially effective with words that they’d have to bleep. Oh well, he’ll still destroy her. It would be like Bruce Lee with one arm tied behind his back, fighting Pauly Shore.
June 13th, 2006 at 12:48 pmI hope George bites that awful, grotesque adam’s apple from her neck. If they are allowed to be on at the same time, I think George will blow a gasket and go off on her and make the censors work overtime!
June 13th, 2006 at 12:51 pmGo ahead and write these people:
Copy your local NBC affiliate
Dear Mr. Zucker:
Attached below is my correspondence to Mr. Leno, for your information.
The decision to invite Ms. Coulter to appear as a guest on The Tonight Show should be reversed, and I urge you to override it.
I find it very disconcerting that NBC would lend its good name by association to Ms. Coulter’s highly personal and insulting denunciations of the 9-11 widows. Why would you approve of such a thing?
Sincerely,
PJB
*********************************
Dear Mr. Leno:
I note from an article in today’s on-line edition of the Washington Post that you will be having Ann Coulter as a guest on your program tomorrow evening.
I am mystified as to why.
Let me pose this hypothetical – If the NBC studios in Burbank had been the target on 9-11 instead of the WTC, and widows of NBC employees killed in the attack organized similarly to those in the New York area, and had Ann Coulter written and spoken about them as she has about the others…would you still have her on your program?
How misguided and unfortunate of you and your producers to give this woman a forum from which to vent her ill considered points of view.
Perhaps, if this is your new vein of booking guests, you might also look into getting Pastor Fred Phelps on as a guest. If you do not know who he is, Google him, and you will understand the comparison.
I will not be watching.
Sincerely, and with sadness and disappointment,
PJB
June 13th, 2006 at 1:01 pmGreat letter to Leno, PJB
June 13th, 2006 at 1:07 pmNO SKANNK COULTER–EMAIL JAY LENO!
HOW MANY MOURNERS WILL ATTEND SKANNK COULTER’S FUNERAL?
Email Jay Leno’s Tonight Show to keep that stinking poon off the air.
She’s scheduled to appear Wednesday. George Carlin is also scheduled. Some might think that will make it a good show. If Carlin had any balls he’d bow out.
NO SKANNK COULTER–LET THAT SICK FILTHY PIG PEDDLE HER WHORE ASS ON HOLLYWOOD BLVD !!!
http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Tonight_Show_with_Jay_Leno/feedback/index.shtml
Boycott the show & its advertisers if she isn’t pulled.
Why give SkAnnk Coulter a platform from which to voice attacks on the 911 widows?
What has that useless piece of sh!t ever done for her country?
That rotten rightwing cloontz should be sued for defamation!
Let Skanky Ann sell her diseased feces between two covers on street corners along with her skunky ass to the bumpkins, yokels & ignoramuses that still proudly admit to being members of the theocratic-neofascist Party of GOP!
BRING SKANNK COULTER TO JUSTICE !!!

June 13th, 2006 at 1:20 pmJim -
Thanks.
Let’s not leave this up to Carlin to deal with on our behalf…although he may be relishing the thought of eviscerating Coulter on national television.
Let Leno know that this is a really bad move.
Copy Zucker at jeff.zucker@nbc.com
June 13th, 2006 at 1:27 pmI highly doubt Carlin and the Coultergeist will get into it on the air, but I sure would like to be a fly on the wall in the Green Room before the show.
June 13th, 2006 at 1:28 pmhmmm. . .for her to refer to the 9-11 widows as “self-obsessed women” is certainly like the pot calling the kettle black. The only thing Coulter truly hates is anyone not on her side, so saying someone on the left is misusing grief for political gain rings hollow, as she would not be so adamant if they were using that grief to support Bush.
It would be nice if Carlin decimates her, but I suspect he’s not as quick as he used to be (sorry George), and knowing how Coulter works I doubt Carlin will get a word in edgewise (assuming Leno has them on at the same time. . . which I doubt).
June 13th, 2006 at 1:29 pmThere is no dust on George Carlin; he has been on Bill Maher in the last year and is slipping one bit.
June 13th, 2006 at 1:58 pmCarlin is still plenty quick & sharper than Coulter. But he’ll pull his punches because she’s still a broad after all. (Even if she isn’t…) They’ll fight with tooth & claw & break for commercial & return with good natured smiles & friendly slaps on the back attitudes meant to convey the impression that: O it was only spirited political repartee…No hard feelings…We’re all Americans here…(Even if Skank Coulter doesn’t really think so…) All she cares about is that her piece of crap book does better than Mary Cheney’s piece of crap book.
Now if Andy Kaufman &/or Sam Kinison were alive they would’ve slaughtered, cooked, eaten & shat her out all in one motion on Pay-Per-View.
June 13th, 2006 at 2:00 pmI meant “not slipping one bit”
June 13th, 2006 at 2:01 pmCarlin has been on Bill Maher’s show afew times and he is still sharp. I doubt Leno will have them on at the same time. If he does, the fireworks should be awsome. I would rather see Letterman have at her, Leno will probably play softball with her/he/it.
June 13th, 2006 at 2:21 pmWell, that NBC stooped to giving Coulter a bully pulpit, I’ll never watch the network again. I’m encouraing complete boycotts among many, many others too. Good bye, NBC. You’re not worth the weight of the waves on which you used to broadcast.
June 13th, 2006 at 2:26 pmGeroge Carlin a debater for the left???? If it’s true that he’s off drugs, I suspect the reason he succeeded is that the vast majority of these posts appear to have been written by people teetering on the brink of overdose. Either that or they’re all under 30. That, too, would explain the stupidity of these comments. As to the “New Jersey Girls”, I agree totally with Coulter. Most surviving relatives of 9/11 victims have been proven to be money grubbing crybabies. People die every day in this country at the hands of others. Their relatives aren’t claiming compensation from us taxpayers.
June 13th, 2006 at 2:55 pmtesting testing
June 13th, 2006 at 2:58 pmre: #50
If your sentiment is that everyone just suck it up, then why bother going into Afganistan (or faking reasons to go into Iraq)? It makes sense if one is consistant with their point of view. Oh, and ad hom attacks show a weakness of character. Not a sermon, just a thought,
June 13th, 2006 at 3:33 pmOf all the people in the world Ann Coulter probably does not want to meet in a public venue, George Carlin would be up there.
Carlin has a talent for pointing out rampant self-serving stupidity in others in a blue-collar way… very bad timing for a book promotion.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:52 pm#50 “People die every day in this country at the hands of others.”
And the government pursues JUSTICE for them. Problem is that Bush isn’t interested in justice for the victims of 9/11. He’s only interested in them as a prop for his agenda and his presidency.
June 13th, 2006 at 4:22 pm#50 Most surviving relatives of 9/11 victims have been proven to be money grubbing crybabies. Comment by Dave — June 13, 2006 @ 2:55 pm
I hope you rot in hell, Dave. Prove that statement you just made. Prove it! I would smack you in the face if you ever insulted a woman or child that had to witness their husband die in the towers. How dare you insult children for morning their parents.
June 13th, 2006 at 4:27 pmTypical unproven right wing statement Dave. (most have been proven to be money grubbing crybabies) Say it enough times out loud and you believe it.How do you sleep at night?Probably spooning Carl Rove
June 13th, 2006 at 4:29 pmyou may also want to comment on the George Carlin BBS:
http://www.georgecarlin.com/snitz06/default.asp?CAT_ID=2
June 13th, 2006 at 4:37 pmThe charge re the 9/11 widows being money grubbing crybabies in post #50, no doubt was inspeired by the Joe Scarborough show. During the discussion re Ann Coulter’s remarks being out of bounds, a Republican political operative, Jack Burkman made the exact charge, claiming the widows had hired atty’s and PR professionals within minutes of the towers falling. He offered no evidence for these charges.
June 13th, 2006 at 5:15 pmI am a firm believer in calling these blowhards on their inflamatory accusations, so I called Mr. Burkman, and to my surprise he answered his own phone.
I suggested that he and Ann Coulter have a talk with Nancy Reagan and tell her to stop exploiting her role as wife/widow of an Alzheimer’s patient in order to weigh in on the national debate on stem cell research. Mr. Burkman congratulated me on “creative thinking.” I suggested that he stop patronizing me and respond to my point. He stated that Nancy Reagan was a different situation since “she was trying to help people.” I suggested the widows were motivated by the same desire…to help others by ensuring the govt. be held accountable for the security lapses that allowed 9/11 to happen. Mr. Burkman could only repeat his baseless charges that the widows hired lawyers and PR reps, without offering any evidence to support his claims. When I suggested that these remarks were baseless speculation, he countered that it was up to the widows to prove the charges untrue.
So another example of the corruption of the American way …..thanks to Jack Burkman and the Republicans he represents, we are all guilty until we can prove ourselves innocent.
These boards are awesome.
I spend most of my time over on the official HBO “Real Time with Bill Maher” forums, and I thought we were a fiery group.
You guys are great!
June 13th, 2006 at 6:34 pmBecause of some rather critical comments Brian Williams made about the Bushco. response to Katrina last fall, a part of my naive side said, “yes this is a MSM guy who does really care about people”. I now wonder, if that assessment was in fact true, if it has yet dawned on Mr. Williams that he is making his livelihood in a way that could, by cynics, be compared to the world’s oldest profession?
June 13th, 2006 at 6:39 pmThat might just be worth cutting out on Stephen Colbert.
June 13th, 2006 at 7:54 pmYess! I can catch the rerun of Colbert early Thursday morning.
#59 – Welcome, Chantel!
June 13th, 2006 at 8:41 pm#61 You could probably still see Colbert considering that Leno does his 15 minute monologue which borders from unfunny to about as funny as Freddie Prinze Sr. as he is today. Only near 12 midnight will there be the first guest. Believe me, with Leno, you won’t miss much.
June 13th, 2006 at 10:40 pmI think you’re right, JIMBO.
June 13th, 2006 at 11:38 pmThanks
#50… Honest question.
Does it sit well with you how much $$$ that Haliburton, Coulter (not to mention the fact that BushCo trots it out for political capitol whenever they feel like it) etc have milked out of 9/11? Or is it okey dokey for them to profit off tragedy? Or possibly is it only ‘bad’ in your estimation when a person is a liberal or just doesn’t agree with your particular point of view?
Don’t kid yourself, most real conservatives are not for nation building, huge deficits, enormous foreign debts, large federal gov’t and invasion of privacy; they are basically against essentially exactly what they current faux-conservative administration is up to.
I am astounded how little the current crop of ‘conservatives’ actually know about their partys actual platform, one of states rights, small federal govt, privacy rights, no or little debt and deficits, etc.
A perfect example is the gun control issue. If they hear that there is going to be a five day waiting period and a background check to buy an Uzi they go bat sh*t crazy ‘You are taking away my civil rights, it is none of your business big federal gov’t, blah, blah, blah’ yet if they hear that their phones are being tapped/monitored they toss out the ‘I’m not doing anything wrong, dig into and violate my privacy all you want big federal government’… Hypocracy, thy name is ‘neo-con’ those who don’t know what their party actully stands for and rely on buzz words/phrases like ‘war on terra’, ‘you are with me or you are against me’, ‘bring it on’, and countless other words of non-wisdom. Personally, I would rather have that freedom that our soldiers are putting their lives on the line for and flush the ’scare the public into blind submission’ nonsense down the crapper where it belongs.
June 14th, 2006 at 12:30 amall they have to do is add the rude pundit and that would be a show worth watching, ann slimey bitch coulter, george pork chop carlin and the rude gift of gab pundit.sold out.
June 14th, 2006 at 4:38 amLike all conservative pundits – she has perfected the art of talking over or ignoring any valid points… either they outright ignore the point and say something like Bill Clinton blah blah blah… or they just start spewing hate speech really really loudly why you are talking.
Comment by G.W.SuperChrist
AMEN!!!! I thought I was the only one on the planet that knew this. I have had a bet with my spouse for years- I can be in another room listening to the TV and tell which is the DEM and which is the RETHUG. Always the same, the Democrats show compassion and respect, the THUGlican ALWAYS interrupts, ignores and talks over!
finally someone that notices the tactics too!!
June 14th, 2006 at 4:58 amLets not forget it was the media and the networks that have allowed the REPUGS to come to power in the first place. Carlins quick wit will allow Coulter no quarter, but Leno will be hard pressed to favor the bitch..
June 14th, 2006 at 7:06 am[...] The folks at Think Progress are a little upset… Apparently, the line isn’t sacred enough for NBC to stop using Coulter and her extreme comments to pump up their ratings. [...]
June 14th, 2006 at 7:35 amThey won’t let Carlin debate her because NBC knows Carlin will destroy her. They’ll have separate interviews.
Coulter can’t handle a debate based on facts or logic. She needs a rigged setting where the debate is controlled by the likes of a Sean Hannity or she is given 1-1 time with a lackey host.
June 14th, 2006 at 8:58 am2 more quick points
1. Coulter is the one profitting off of other people’s tragedies by her name calling of these 4 wonderful women. (Who simply offer facts + solutions to help America)
June 14th, 2006 at 9:03 am2. The Conservatives used 9/11 widows (they only found a few + Debra Burlingame a sister of 1 of the pilot) at the GOP Convention and on talk shows to try and advance their agenda. The difference is nobody on the non conservative side attacked them personally for their opinions. We could simply disagree if they reached a conclusion differnt from us.
Everyone take a good look at her face and notice she may be transsexual (with that large adam’s apple). No woman could conjure up such nasty crap that comes out of her mouth leave it to a man.
June 14th, 2006 at 9:24 amI plan to let NBC know, again, how I feels about Ms. Coulter and her money-making mental illness, but I have to say, that I am beginning to believe that, right now, the more the likes of Coulter, O’Reilly, Coulter, Hannity run their foul, idiotic big mouths, the better it is for anyone who is even slightly to the lett of center.
The hateful right gets by with their schtick most of the time, because most folks just don’t pay much attention to them.
They are paying attention now, and have been since the revelations about Abu Ghraib. Most of my friends are independents, libertarians and folks who have never really thought about it one way or the other, none of whom would be caught dead in a political party. They are all paying rapt attention, now.
They have expressed horror at what civil discourse has come to, not to mention the amazingly out-in-the-open corruption and power grab, which threaten the very foundation of our nation.
The best thing in the world for Liberal America is a wingnut meltdown on national TV?
I am not at all sure it is good for the nation, but then Ann Coulter’s bilge-water spweing is not good for it either.
Now is a very good time for this to be coming to a head, so to speak.
The whole world is watchiing.
Let them see the truth of who and what Ann Coulter, and her ilk, really are.
June 14th, 2006 at 10:04 amA grand says Carlin jumps that TREASONOUS bit*h…
June 14th, 2006 at 10:23 amI’ll see your grand and raise you two grand that Coulter makes carlin cry and wet himself.
June 14th, 2006 at 12:44 pmcarlin was sort of funny in the 70’s but now he is just another foul mouthed, burned out liberal whiner. his years of doing drugs has turned his mind into mush and as such fits in perfectly with the leftard crowd.
i like ann… quit picking on her. she has that sexy walk, that deep chesty voice, that come hither look….and then she goes and spoils it all by saying something stupid like GO F*^ YOU. seriously, why is everyone picking on her– she is the poster child of the GOP, except for the part where she is a woman and she speaks her mind, and is not on the kitchen floor procreating (or at least ameraturecreating). ignore the adam’s apple thing, the manly stance… i just noticed that ann c. and dick cheney are never in the same room at the same time… concidense?
June 14th, 2006 at 1:59 pmCarlin,,, a good left-sided guy, BUT has lost a step over time… it will really be up to the studio who “wins”, they control the camera and the mike of all this… if they focus on her, Carlin will look drowned out— if they give him ample time and voice she will be seen as running off stage—
HERE IS HOPING LENO DOES WHAT IS…LEFT.
I want her to crack: call me cruel, but I’ve waited YEARS for this. Amazing we couldn’t get a crack @ her until her looks started to go… she can’t do that ‘poker face’ & presume to put a “tough chickie” or simper on to get interviewers to back off her bullshit…
I wanna see him make her cry.
Will she cry for ratings? will she do a Mrs. Abramov???
or will she demand a separate appearance?
ohhh.. good for ratings, but I’m thinking this deal works better for Carlin’s new book than hers!
Namaste

Actually Carlin isn’t all that liberal. Read Brin Droppings and you’ll see what I mean. He IS, hoerver, stongly in favor of calling a spade a spade. Or in this case, perhaps calling a hellhound a hellhound.
I’ll be watching, ‘Carlin’ pennant in hand.
June 14th, 2006 at 4:06 pmWhoops. “BRAIN Droppings.”
June 14th, 2006 at 4:11 pmMaybe if you werent all such little liberal punks you would realize that Ann Coulter could beat anybody in a debate! Not to mention that all her points and “logic” are completly true. Proven by how all you democrats are actually commenting on this page and freaking out!!! I love her!!!
June 14th, 2006 at 7:28 pmWho thinks GEs defense contracts might have a bearing on NBC decision to air Coulter? GE owns NBC. Doubt all the calls in the world will shake this from its moorings. How about this instead: call or write boards of the companies that air ads during this time and mobilize a mass boycott of their products as long as they continue to subsidize this trash? They won’t get it until their wallets do.
June 14th, 2006 at 9:13 pmp.s. Arianna Huffington could whoop Coulter in a heartbeat. Can they really be confusing “debate” with her shout tactics and vile propaganda? Must be.
Hey Pete, the him you refer to is a her. Are you so far to the left that you can’t tell the difference anymore? J.
June 14th, 2006 at 11:45 pm… OMG ! mAnnie-conda wore the SAME sleazy bar-hoppin’ black dress on Leno – AGAIN ! Won’t her neocon boy-toys buy her any NEW clothes ?!? It was PATHETIC – she was flippin’ her hair all around , and lying through her teeth ( as usual ) , while Jay lobbed soft-ball questions at her , but at least he did get to admit she ” TRIES to attract people ” – KEEP tryin’ , Cold-Cut Coulter , ’cause it AIN’T workin’ ! WHY didn’t George Carlin pour his coffee over her sleazy self – I was SO hoping he would ! ;) …
June 15th, 2006 at 12:46 amI can’t imagine that Ms. Colter could say anything more rude, crude or inflamatory than the remarks I have read here about her. Clearly she isn’t the only one with no class.
June 15th, 2006 at 10:18 amWhat a bunch of left wing loons you all are! I’ve been laughing my A** off reading your comments, and I’ll just remind you that Coulter’s book is already #1, because she’s one of the only people who has the (pardon the sexist pun) balls to expose you people for who you really are! Lying, distorting, inconsistent, Godless earth worshiping loons! Too bad the FOUR of thousands of 9/11 widows are the only ones Ann picked on, or you may actually have an argument. Those 4 suddenly thinking they have the uninterruptible right to spew hatred about our president and country just because they lost a spouse in 9/11 is ludicrous. And let’s not forget it was Clinton’s fault 9/11 happened in the first place! Clinton had Bin Laden in his possession, unless you haven’t heard the tape where he says “I couldn’t hold him or I’d have turned him over to the Saudis.” WAKE UP CALL, LIB LOONS! Facts are like kryptonite to you guys, aren’t they? I haven’t seen the interview yet, but I hope Ann took Carlin’s head and handed it to him with a nice steaming side of spotted owl. Of all the things you libs could have actually accentuated in her book, you had to pick the Witches of East Brunswick. Gotta protect your own anti-Bush anti-war mongers at all costs, don’t ya? ?Bow down to Mother Sheehan! My motto: First Bid Laden, then the Democratic Party (just its “values,” not its people)! LOL! NEWTIN8!
June 15th, 2006 at 3:32 pmCoulter rules! Carlin drools. George wisely stayed out of it last night because he knows when he is up against a superior intellect. None of you ignorant crybaby leftists have anything substantive to say about her, only hateful name calling and insults. (So I gleefully provided a few myself!) Keep crying in your pablem, its only going to get worse for you; especially come November. BU-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! (evil Republican laugh)
June 15th, 2006 at 4:34 pmCarlin rolled over and was just content to make faces for the most part. He just let her say her stupid self serving bs and let her hang herself out to dry. She was preoccupid flipping her blonde her out of her eyes for the entire spot. Did I say Blonde?
June 15th, 2006 at 4:40 pmHow many people can even quickly provide a quote from any of her books (without using google)? I bet most can’t, but know she MUST have said something bad.
All the comments about her physical appearance also make a convincing arguement.
June 15th, 2006 at 7:07 pmToo many politicians and commenatators today don’t have a clue how to debate, and that’s on both sides of the aisle, left-wing morons or right-wing morons. All they know how to to do is spew their leftist or right wing pablum and ignore what is said to them. This extends to blogs and comments to them as well.
Me?, I’d be a democrat if it weren’t for the influence of groups like ANSWER and MoveOn, I’d be a republican if it weren’t for the religious right. I think anyone, whether “progressive” “neo-con” “conservative” “liberal”, basically anyone who just KNOWS they are right and the other side is “evil”, is a fool. Unfortunately both sides of the aisle have their share of fools.
June 16th, 2006 at 11:19 amI saw the Tonight Show when Ann Coulter and George Carlin appeared together. I was infuriated when she initially made her comments on Matt’s Lauer’s stage, but you know, she really has nothing else to say, so the second time I saw her, it really didn’t bother me. Even Jay Leno considered her remarks nasty.
As far as George Carlin goes, he said not one word in response. Thank you George for not giving her an opportunity to blow her hot air. She’s not worthy of debate.
June 17th, 2006 at 10:19 pmApparently, the only way liberals can deal with Ann Coulter is to post adhominem nonsense to comment boards. This is, in poker, referred to as tipping your hand. Ad hominem argumentation is nothing more than an admittance that you can’t respond properly to her arguments. Liberals are angry now that Conservative have gotten their fill of years of beliitling, badmouthing and marginalization of a MAJORITY of the country. America has had it with such crap and Ann is in the forefront of Americans handing liberals their butts on their vacuous arguments, such as they are, and their failed programs hailed for their intent. The amount of money we’ve collectively wasted as a nation on liberal programs should go down as an all time hall of shame. The grand experiment of liberalism has failed. And the country is the better for shaking it off, taking a bath and going on. We have plenty of nasty shills to listen to from enemies overseas. We don’t have to put up with it here. Annie did good. And despite all the nonsense about Carlin destroying Ann. Sure he did. wink. Had as much to say as all the liberals commenting here – nothing.
June 18th, 2006 at 2:47 amI happen to know that that sex change gone wrong by the name of Ann Coulter papered the Tonight Show audience with her people, hence the “cheers” she received. I know this, as in it is not a guess (insider trading, so to speak). The only way that bitch gets support is to bring her crowd with her like a rock band with its groupies (and this is part of her deal when appearing in a potentially unfriendly environment, such as California where The Tonight Show is filmed — trust me, there are zero Californians that support that poor excuse for a transvestite). After the show, Ann’s groupies all got together and gave Ann a blow job so they could get backstage.
June 21st, 2006 at 8:35 pmCarlin will decimate her.
Comment by KillCon
Ya. Your hero really “decimated” her. November is going to be a breeze. The Dem’s have miscalculation and counting their chickens before they’ve hatched down to a science.
I find it funny that no one here can go toe to toe with Ann, all you guys can do here is shout her down for her looks or what you feel is her gender, so much for the supposed Democratic party of love and tolerance. LOL
June 22nd, 2006 at 11:38 pmPeople make fun of her because she’s so far gone mentally, there is no need to debate her. As far as Carlin, he did the right thing. Just shut up and let that she-male make a fool of herself, which she does every time.
June 23rd, 2006 at 6:03 pmI missed the show, could care less for Ann Coulter. Next time Carlin should appear in drag and we won’t know which is which until the real Ann Coulter spews venom from her butthole.
July 8th, 2006 at 9:16 pmI was actually impressed by everyone’s performance on the show. As a hardcore conserberal (I have liberal ideals and conservative values), I think the entire show was outstanding.
George was George and did a good bit.
Ann was Ann and said her piece.
You may have noted that neither of them attacked the other. Bravo! The only one who blew it was Leno during the monologue when he pointed out that the audience was full of right-wingers. It blew his cover as “unbiased” since he’s never pointed out the lefties during all of the Bush-bashing he’s done.
I think that there’s a bit too much name-calling going on about this. I always loved Carlin because of his irreverant act but I stopped being a fan when he went from irreverant to spiteful. He gained some points by being polite, being a man, and not attacking a woman.
Too many on the left fail to give respect where it’s due. Both in sports and warfare, worthy adversaries always acknowledge one another. You have at least acknowledge that Ms. Coulter has guts. It takes backbone to go into the lair of the enemy like she did on Real Time with Bill Maher, The Today Show, AND appear with George Carlin. She even acknowledged that George was smarter than the average liberal.
Great show!
