Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) claimed a bill he authored didn’t provide amnesty for illegal surveillance, as the Washington Post reported. That isn’t true. Glenn Greenwald has the details.

I became as familiar as necessary with specter during the clinton impeachment and roberts and alito confirmation hearings.
