TPMuckraker calls Kentucky’s Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) and discovers the liberal bluegrassreport.org was not the only website state workers are no longer allowed to view. “Rather, they’d made a decision to block state employees from viewing the entire category of blogs.”
While the House leadership holds up a vote on a major domestic spending bill because it contains an amendment to raise the minimum wage, Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R-IL) announced the House will vote on the estate tax this week.
In an “end run around Congress,” funding for the top U.S. nuclear weapons lab is being distributed through the U.S. Postal Service. The postal service is helping Los Alamos National Lab “fund its new, 400,000 square foot ‘Science Complex.’”
Senate Coverup Committee chairman Pat Roberts (R-KS) “will indeed succeed in deep-sixing” the Phase II probe into manipulation of Iraq war intelligence, Greg Sargent reports.
Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) gets rave reviews from the 876th Engineer Battalion, which just returned from Iraq to Murtha’s southwest Pennsylvania district. “He’s definitely for a strong military and he definitely supports the troops,” says Sgt. 1st Class George Wozniak, 36.
And finally: The world’s most expensive lemon: “a $1.7-million Mercedes-Benz roadster that died after cruising 10 blocks.” (With pic.)
Roberts’ blocking the Phase II WMD report shows just one of the many tactics Republicans use to fight off scandal.

Is it any wonder that 37 million Americans depend on antidepressents?
June 21st, 2006 at 8:37 pmCan’t say I’m surprised that the troops admire Jack Murtha. He didn’t lie to them.
50 Ways To Dump The Dubya
June 21st, 2006 at 8:55 pmI guess Ann Coulter is going to be out on the talk shows tommorow telling us how pissed off she is that troops from Murtha’s district came home and supported him, because it’s apparently another example of the left “using” people that she can’t smear.
Though I’m putting five bucks on the table right here saying that someone on the right will smear these troops somehow. I mean come on, they can’t let these little guys come back here and support a Democrat! This totally goes against Republican political banter! They’ve based their entire brand and sloganeering on saying they’re the party of the troops, but strangly, that support doesn’t ever seem to be returned.
June 21st, 2006 at 10:12 pmAs Sen. Roberts is unfortunately my senator, I called his local office just last week to inquire why the Phase II report has not been issued. The lady told me it was being held up by Democrats on the committee because they hadn’t finished reading the report. The last time I called they told me because of its thoroughless, it was taking more time than anticipated. And that was several months ago. Of course I am not holding my breath.
June 21st, 2006 at 10:14 pmSenate Coverup Committee chairman Pat Roberts and his buddies have turned this country into a farce. I’m sick of all of the liars in the do nothing “Congress” and do even less “Senate”. If these people are not voted out in the next 6 years, this country should officially change its name to Liars R US.

Why aren’t the Democrats shutting down congress every single day until the public wakes up?
June 21st, 2006 at 10:54 pmMaybe the Dems need to wake up first…Yo Dems! The alarm is ringing!
The world’s most expensive lemon: “a $1.7-million Mercedes-Benz roadster that died after cruising 10 blocks.â€
Anyone who would pay that kind of money for a tiny penis car, gets what they deserve.

June 21st, 2006 at 11:10 pmSenate Coverup Committee Scandal Man (R-KS) “will indeed succeed in deep-freezing†the Phase II frozen probe and manipulate Dicks Iraq war intelligence with my patented frozen scandal methods.
It will not thaw until George is out of the loop, I mean office of the presidency. Please move along, the scandal has been moved to the cryogenic laboratory located below the white house.
Please go back to your homes and turn on Faux News.

June 21st, 2006 at 11:18 pmYesterday was just a typical day of GOP corruption in Washington, DC! Nothing of any real importance transpired either > just Repubs bashing Dems and Dems acting clueless > lol.
June 22nd, 2006 at 1:46 amAs for using the Postal Service as a backdoor ATM, did you know that the “Pink Ribbon” breast cancer awareness stamp, which raises money for research, has to give 25% of the proceeds to the Defense Department? No wonder the price of postage keeps going up.

June 22nd, 2006 at 3:11 amIraq: US may be asked to leave
Greg Sheridan, Foreign Editor
June 21, 2006
THE level of violence in some areas of Iraq is worsening dramatically and US forces may soon be asked to leave by the Iraqi Government.
In an exclusive interview with The Australian, former US deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage has given a gloomy assessment of the situation.
“The British used to make a big deal of walking around in their berets in the south,” he said. “Now they won’t even go to the latrines without their helmets. The south has got much rougher, it’s mainly Shia on Shia violence.”
June 22nd, 2006 at 3:58 amHi, I know this is off subject, but what happened to jurassicpork.blogspot?
June 22nd, 2006 at 4:40 am#18 – I have no idea! He hasn’t posted for a couple days. have we chased off another one?
June 22nd, 2006 at 10:08 am“Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) gets rave reviews from the 876th Engineer Battalion, which just returned from Iraq to Murtha’s southwest Pennsylvania district.” Try reading the Article. The people were cheering the return of the troops and not Congressman “Surrender” or his flunky. If Murtha thought for a second that he would get cheered he would have been there for their homecoming and in fact has missed EVERY homecoming of all units in his area.
June 22nd, 2006 at 10:44 amAh yes! Another day of R.R.S readings. The reich wing runner for the devider in charge of hand picked photo ops. More of kill the messenger and never mind heir bush and company have never served a day in combat…..Well we all appreciate your service Sir and every one knows views of a written subject are diffrent for each reader, perhaps it is you who should re read with an open mind the article again……From my view, Murtha is loved and respected by many and bush is ridiculed and hated for his ignorance and arrogance here and around the world…….In case you are not truly informed, bush and company are rapeing our entire world , america is being sold off to the highest bidder and his grand pappy Prescot Bush the Nazi #1 is in hell reeling in delight that baby bush will go down in history as #2 as in shit for being the worst president in history….Both my father and grand father served in the big one’s and they I am sure are glad they didn’t have to surve under the chicken hawk…….Drink your prune juice, stop slamming the dems and I will stop slamming back..
