The conservatives have told us that there are hundreds of thousands of Iraqi police and military personnel, electricity, running water, new roads, hospitals, and schools…and we refused to believe them. It is obvious that what the US is doing now is not working. Have the corporatacracy-plutocracy republicans not seen that in their quest of profit and power? BUT is IS working for their quest for profit and power. It is NOT working towards the end of the gravy train for them, but who wants their gravy train stopped. Greg Palast made an interesting observation- the Iraq war was about cutting the flow of oil thereby increasing the price of oil resulting in HUGE profits for the EXXONS of the world.
Has no one thought that pulling out of Iraq just MIGHT work resulting in less death and destruction? Meanwhile back at the “Ranch” the evasion and smear tactics continue.

Sign me up as yet another “coward” in the ranks of my fellows John Kerry, John Murtha and many others, who actually went to war in Vietnam and demand us get all our troops out of Iraq NOW, (while GWB avoided and evaded Vietnam combat, and now lies through his teeth about his ever mind numbing useless war in Iraq). The one thing I can’t understand is the unwillingness of so many on the right to see, right or wrong, that the Iraq campaign has been one of the greatest military blunders in history. The man puts the car in the ditch. Now you let him drive the tow truck?

To be honest, the only answer to Iraq is get BushCo out of the way and hope some wiser minds can think us out of this corner we’ve been painted into.

As fart as I can see, only one thing gets us out of Iraq: an alternative to Mid East oil, something the oil barons in charge will put off as long as possible.

i.e. Until it’s too late.

Yeah, you’re really cutting the average voter a lot of slack with that assumption. They have not only fallen for a lot of BS, they have eaten it up. I can only blame the MSM so much. Yeah, they hide or downplay a lot and work hard to make BushCo’s shit smell like red, white and blue roses, but it’s not like the info isn’t out there. We find it. But that’s because we’re looking. Most of them are far too lazy to look. The rest just don’t want to see anything that doesn’t jibe with their point of view.
