“On December 18th, Colin Powell, the former Secretary of State, joined other prominent Washington figures at FedEx Field, the Redskins’ stadium, in a skybox belonging to the team’s owner.” The group began discussing news reports about the NSA’s warrantless surveillance of Americans. “According to someone who knows Powell, his comment about the article was terse. ‘It’s Addington,’ he said,” referring to Cheney Chief of Staff David Addington. “He doesn’t care about the Constitution.“

As an American, you should not allow “dear leader” to simply become a dictator. As an American, you should fight for the values and strengths that were here before Bu$hCo and will be here long after they are gone. Why do feel it necessary to support the very folks who are planning to do away with your citizenship? I mean it sounds as though you are so frightened of osama been forgotten, that you want to “feel safe” even though it means you will have no civil rights to enjoy. Why are you so scared? And frankly, if you are so scared and you are willing to do away with my rights also, I want you over in Iraq fighting. You cannot have it both ways nutjob. If you support “dear leader”, then get your ass to the fighting. If you support “dear leader” but you don’t want to fight, I suggest you get a job in the White House. And this “playing the good Soldier” is pure B.S. Sure we’re to follow rules, regulations, and orders. But an unlawful order is to be reported………………..PERIOD!!! And Mr. Powell has had plenty of opportunities to say that he wasn’t gonna go along to get along, instead he played deaf, mute, and dumb. So I have no hope that he will overcome his selective amnesia anytime soon.
Let’s move on to the next issue.

That “scrap of paper” is the ultimate legal barrier standing between this administration and the overwhelmingly negative mood of this country at this moment.
If we were a parlimentiary system, Bush & Co. would be so finished.
Well, we don’t. We have a constitution ordained and established by “we the people” that is the sole legal authority for the presidency itself, and if there is any doubt as to the truth of Mr. Bush’s claims of unchecked executive authority, the constitution establishes the congress first (in article I) and the Presidency second (in article II).
Even my home state of Arkansas gets it right in its state motto: “Regnat Populus,” The People Rule…not the President. The constitution is there for US, not him.

Colin Powell was hooked on Ambien, and pressured by experts, when he betrayed himself and his country, for the Military Industrial Conspiracy.
Still, he remains one of the potential Big Keys to removing the rightwing fascist coup that seized the country through massive nationwide vote-fraud.
As for the ‘revolution’ starting this November, no, the revolution, in that terminology, is going on RIGHT NOW, in locales all around the country, where activists are challenging the vote-fraud, preparing lawsuits, figuring out which election officials are complicit in the conspiracy, and helping to educate the public on the way in which their democracy has been crated up and shipped to the Land of Diebold.
Join the real revolution, NOW. Because if anything can be done to shortcircuit the Rapepublican vote-fraud machinery, that anything IS the solution to what ails us.
Don’t feed the goddamned trolls. The Constitution has the love and affection of eighty percent of the U.S. population, and is the repository of hope for hundreds of millions of people.
