Accompanying the Charter and the Ark are the Temenos Books, containing aboriginal Earth Masks and “visual prayers/affirmations for global healing, peace, and gratitude,” created by 3,000 artists, teachers, students, and mystics. According to the Temenos Project, which launched the effort, a temenos is “a magical sacred circle where special rules apply and extraordinary events inevitably occur.”

Please call my receptionist as soon as possible to schedule an appointment
that’s really devastating. if we were talking about any other writer, this would be career ending. but of course, we are also talking about a career that never should have gotten started. this is one lazy talentless individual. her syndicator should cancel her deal yesterday.
Depends on how one defines “plagiarism”. To me, one would have to copy significant passages word for word before qualifying as a plagiarist.
Perhaps John Barrie should consider running Dr. Martin Luther King’s PhD thesis through his plagiarism-recognition system to see how well it really works.
My goodness, what is moonbat so enraged about? You’d think he and his family had had bombs dropped on them by some distant superpower, and that he was the only survivor.
Moonbat, is it possible to have genuine conversation with you? I honestly want to understand what it is about “liberals” you hate so intensely. Leave a post on my blog or something in case I don’t catch your response here.
Maybe Moonbat Patrol is actually Ann Coulter. Ever see them together? Writing style and content similar. T’would explain alot. Post #1 = self-aggrandizing drivel?
Nah, MA is actually Anne Coulter. Similar righting style, they use the same basic lines (I was once a librul, I am a lawyer etc…) its all the same basic drivel.
To me, one interesting thing about this article is that it appeared in Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post. Could this be a sign that the right-wing is disowning her? I’m pretty sure that her book was published by a company not owned by Murdoch (some do exist).
#39 Jane and I have theorized that moonbat patrol is really Bill O’Reilly. Or someone who works for Bill O’Reilly. Or someone who has a shrine to Bill O’Reilly in his house.
So, shouldn’t the people who’ve been plagarized do something? Like sue her? Money is what she values - so take it away from her.
Al Gore donated 100% of the profits of his book and movie to his cause. He didn’t keep one single dime. How much of Coulter’s profits aren’t going into her pocket? I’d guess 100%.
I’m pretty sure that her book was published by a company not owned by Murdoch (some do exist).

She crossed even their right-wing line by attacking the 9/11 victom’s families, I think. Plus, she’s just too far over the top, even for the loud mouthed crybabies on the Right. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re right and they are distancing themselves from her a bit. After all, you can’t support a war on terror while criticizing the victims for whom you seek revenge…
At the least, I hope that her plagerization will haunt her everytime she calls for the death of another liberal patriot.
so Coulter used know facts to prove that liberals are idiots and scum. How is THAT plagarism? This little turd that cried plagariam is probably some little faggot who got his ass kicked by Coulter! But hey You leftards here got almost 45 posts trying to speculate on who i am….I am RIGHT and you are wrong… that’s who i am you progressive pukes.
typical liberal there sixpacker. just because I hate liberals I am of course crazy right?? well the majority of Americans are crazy by your definition because the majority of America hates liberals too. nice try there joe blow but maybe it’s YOu who needs medication or maybe try taking a little reality to shake you from your left wing induced dementia.
oh and by the way I AM RIGHT.
Whether you use the real word or the “Bush†version of it, your meaning is still understood. :) And thanks.
Comment by Wayne A. Schneider — July 3, 2006 @ 8:54 am
Well, you know how it goes around here - if you don’t catch your own faux pas, they become the topic of troll conversation. Just trying to avoid that considering someone let moonbat loose… though I don’t read his posts anyway. The first one I read was enough to last me a good long while :)
I understand completely. We all make typos (yes, me, too). It’s one thing to nitpick someone’s spelling if their meaning becomes lost as a result of it. But if the only thing one can say in response to an otherwise intelligent, sensible post is to nitpick some insignificant spelling errors, then the nitpicker has lost the point of debating an issue.
then the nitpicker has lost the point of debating an issue.
Comment by Wayne A. Schneider — July 3, 2006 @ 9:54 am
Absolutely. Same applies to when they turn it personal with insults and ad hominem attacks rather than debate the argument on merits. Most of them seem to even start off like that (moonbat), hence my refusal to waste my time reading his posts. Anyone who starts off insulting people has nothing of value to say - or they would have begun with a point. Too bad there are still people in this country who think it’s about the messenger rather than the message… Or that words are more defining than actions.
As for Ann Coulter - she is another one who comes out swinging insults and condoning violence against those with whom she disagrees. Didn’t take me long to tune her out either. She is a disgrace to women who fought hard to pave a pathway for her to go to college, law school and voice her opinion. Some day I hope she grows to understand that she is doing more to destroy equality among the sexes by validating the hysterical woman stereotype that ironically built her platform to do so.
Coulter has written that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote. If, as some of her supporters have tried to claim, she’s just a comedian trying to do comedy, then she should find another line of work. She isn’t funny, she’s just insulting. The premises upon which her humor is based are so far out there that there’s really nothing to relate to and, therefore, no reason for people to find it funny. To start with the premise that all liberals are treasonous does not make for a very funny book because her premise isn’t even remotely true. At least if there were some basis for reality, she might have a reason to call it comedy. If she wanted to deride us all as “bleeding hearts”, at least there’s some factual basis for that because we care about our fellow human beings. (That part they can’t relate to.) But what she does is just out-and-out attack using stereotypes and untruths. Frankly, I think TP is wasting time acknowedging her existence.
I realize that the danger isn’t so much Coulter as it is the people who believe what she writes. Some people think she’s 100% accurate, and those people are the ones we have to worry about.
She’s supposed to be funny? I had not heard that description before. Well, I agree with you. She isn’t. Not even remotely. And her voice to me is like nails on a chalkboard because of all that venom and hatred she spews.
I think it’s good that TP is calling her out on her nonsense, actually. Silence is frequently seen as aquiescence in our culture, and we need to be clear that we do not tolerate her violent “humor” or devisive nature. Even John Stewart pokes fun of the Democrats…
The really ironic thing is that she is grandstanding for a party that is all about patriarchy. How self-degrading is it to be a spokesperson for a group of people who don’t value you? No wonder she thinks humiliating her gender is funny. She’s literally sick. She should try eating something. Could help with that perpetual irritability and constant gnawing in her stomache.
as carpetbagger writes: I hate to get optimistic about such things, but this could be a career killer. News outlets don’t seem to mind giving a forum to far-right bombthrowers who recommend killing war heroes or joke about murdering Supreme Court justices, but editors and publishers tend to disapprove when writers steal other writers’ words. It’s usually a deal-breaker.
She’s supposed to be funny?
Comment by unbelievable
You know, funny like the kind of person who says the most vile things to you, and then says, “What’s the matter? Can’t you take a joke?” That kind of funny. Ugh.
Hey moonbat patrol! Take your post #49, replace every instance of the world “liberal” with the word “Jew” and replace the word “America” with the word “Germany” and tell me if you’re still comfortable making that statement.
For everyone else, I recommend “Republican Like Me” in which the author cites a neo-Nazi web site that highly recommends Coulter’s work, and instructs its members to make the same substitution. “Every time she uses the word ‘liberal’ substitute ‘Jew’ and it will make perfect sense.”
I could be wrong, but I thought that they had re-scheduled it for tomorrow, the Fourth, some time in the afternoon. It was supposed to be an Independence Day “gift” to Americans. I just hope it’s safe. There are still concerns about the foam falling off and damaging the shuttle again.
I’m all for science and the International Space Station is a step toward the unified humanity I hope we one day achieve. But let’s make sure it’s not any more dangerous than it has to be.
We should get back on topic.
Ann Coulter should be banned from the non-Fox channels until she’s willing to talk about these allegations. Fox won’t care where she got her material. They don’t believe that “Honesty is the best policy.”
My above post about the shuttle was my frustration that, even though the shuttle isn’t going anywhere, it’s still about the ONLY thing on the news! Apparently there’s not anything else happening ON EARTH!!
“Every time she uses the word ‘liberal’ substitute ‘Jew’ and it will make perfect sense.â€

There are a some of Bush’s state of the Unions that that equally works for as well.
And I think it’s a good tool for the main stream sheeple to see that fascist really does equal neocon, and NOT liberal…
Plagiarism is not merely the act of a lazy, stupid mind. The odds of getting caught, especially for a high profile personality like Coulter, are very, very high. Poor Ann is just looking for a good spanking.
BTW, congratulations on the new job. Good luck with that.
I understand now. I guess there’s no reason for them to talk about the national elections in the country immediately to our south. (I’m talking about Mexico, trolls.) I guess the media didn’t want to run (or begin) their deep investigatory pieces into the corruption inherent in the Republican-controlled Congress. (If no one’s indicted, it isn’t news.) I guess not enough people are getting killed in Iraq to get the illegal war back in the news. And all those thunderstorms and wildfires the country’s been experiencing aren’t important enough to discuss, either. So I guess they decided to focus on something that they knew wasn’t happening until tomorrow. No wonder the American people are so uninformed about the important issues of the day.
Let’s combine topics so we can continue to talk about Ann Coulter.
Do you think they might consider a mission where they test the affects of weightlessness on brainlessness and observe Ann Coulter floating around inside the shuttle? (Whether or not she should have a space suit on would be optional.)
There is nothing academic about a book on ill-thoughts and mean-spirited bullshit. Its pure entertainment like Jerry Springer or pro wrestling. Some people just want to hear nasty things about other people and they are willing to pay or it.
In Mr. Coulters defense, he just understands the glorious US system of capitalism, culture and the cherished American values and making a sweet penny at it.
I don’t know how much more we can talk about Ann Coulter’s plagairism… So, off topic, but newsworthy:
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea would respond to a pre-emptive U.S. military attack with an “annihilating strike and a nuclear war,” the state-run media said Monday, heightening anti-U.S. rhetoric amid close scrutiny of its missile program.
The Korean Central News Agency, citing an unidentified Rodong Sinmun newspaper “analyst,” accused the United States of increasing military pressure on the isolated communist state and basing new spy planes on the Korean Peninsula.
The North Korean threat of retaliation, which is often voiced by its state-controlled media, comes amid U.S. official reports that Pyongyang has shown signs of preparing for a test of a long-range missile. North Korea claims it has the right to such a launch.
On Friday, Pyongyang accused the United States of driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula “to the brink of war,” and said it is fully prepared to counter any U.S. aggression.
Monday’s report accused Washington of escalating military pressure on the country with war exercises, a massive arms buildup and aerial espionage by basing new spy planes in South Korea.
Cowards and traitors, masquerading as patriots. Running from true freedom and the challenges and risks that go along with it, lashing out at those of us who still refuse to submit and surrender our lives and minds to the power-mongers. This is the character of those who defend tory scumbags like Coulter. Take them on where they live. Tear up the rocks they live under and call them the real traitors to America they all are. Time’s a wastin’.
Have you ever read any of Anne Coulter’s books? They’re basically a collection of quotes, an assemblage of paraphrased statements, and the re-telling of events—and John Barrie’s software detected three familiar sentences. Wow! There’s a big suprise!
“If you want to destroy a message then destroy the messenger.”
Technique: When accused, berated or maligned, attack the messengers. It doesn’t matter if they’re are accurate or not, just attack. Attack their credibility. Attack their character. Attack their ideology. Attack their sources. Attack their associations. Just attack.
If you take the bait and start debating the veracity or even the necessity of the message content itself, you risk highlighting the content of the message — and thus risk harm upon yourself. The idea is to avoid a confrontation on an issue that will most likely damage your credibility and/or reputation.
you mean like the Bush GOP attacked El Baradei and Annan When they said that there were no proofs of WMD in Iraq prior to the invasion? Or when the french, german and russian governments expressed their doubts about the capacity of Iraq to launch a WMD attack in the USA soil in 45 minutes?
Do you think they might consider a mission where they test the affects of weightlessness on brainlessness and observe Ann Coulter floating around inside the shuttle? (Whether or not she should have a space suit on would be optional.)
Comment by Wayne A. Schneider
I was thinking in terms of the Democratic party’s constant attacks on the Bush administration, and the left’s constant attacks on every conservative voice in America. By the way, Bush and the GOP criticized Annin and the UN for being a useless debate society. The original UN sanctions against Iraq only produced a corrupt oil for food scandal. Saddam never cooperated with those sanctions, and the UN never enforced them. Hooray for diplomacy!
Sure, Antagonist, the sanctions were so innefective that, when your country’s army entered Iraq, you found almost no opposition and Rumsfeld did a record time run to Baghdad with a highly dubious blitzkrieg-like strategy, impossible if the Hussein army hadn’t crumbled.
Also, the UN was so inneffective that Saddam had no WMD, due to the constant watching of the UN.
BTW, the management of the reconstrucion by the GOP has produced not a single scandal, but a good bunch, including several done by the no-bid Haliburton (you know, the company who is paying YET benefits to Dick Cheney?). Or the milions lost in the Bremer’s watch…
So, please, if you can’t control your own country’s enterprises and viceroys accountability, don’t come and play the hollier than thou card with the UN…
The Iraqi’s were no contest for us in Desert Storm, before UN sanctions were imposed. Your point is?
Saddam used WMD’s on his own people. He had them everyone knew it. The Clinton administration warned about them. Saddam thumbed his nose at the weapons inspectors for years, and the UN did nothing. Since we’ve been in Iraq, we have been finding WMD’s, but the press and the American left are not interested. That would mean that Bush was right, and they cannot admit that.
Don’t play holier than thou with me. At least my country doesn’t give in to the demands of terrorists. Go back to bending over and grabbing your ankles, and stay out of American politics.
the WMD found are a few shells who someone forgot at some hidden cache from a war 15 years ago. Like the ammunition you left back when you retreat. its living charge was long ago inert, non-WMD grade. Nowhere to find the supposed trailers for making tons and tons of anthrax, no nuclear weapons, no one, not chemical facilities. Zero.
And Anti-reason, I’ll mess with the USA policy, the exact same day that the USA policy doesn’t alter the life in my country for bad.
And, btw, tell the terrorists that arresting the higher responsibles of the fundraising of the terrorist band is bending to their demands, they’re really pissed right now, but defanged…
Antagonist, be honest you’ve choosen your nick because you’re Antireality, isn’t?
Actually, they’ve been finding leftover CWs in scattered locations. Over 20 years, they degraded to the point where if you wanted to kill someone you would need to open up the warhead and shove a person’s face in, or bash their head against it repeatedly.
Bush is not touting these WMD, and with good reason. He doesn’t want to give his critics the ammunition. Only redneck red state congressmen even mention it, because they know they won’t be challened in their home districts on the facts.
we’re not bending to the desires of the terrorists. We are making them sign a Rendition Agreement. Like your country did with Germany and Japan when the USA “bended over and grabbed his ankles”. Really, you’re a great source of humour.
Moonbat, Annie(Mannie?) Coulter is a pre-op transexual whose Adam’s apple is bigger than her bra cup size. You must like sucking that she-male’s dick. My apologies in advance to the transgenders out there; Coulter excepted.

You’re ringing defense of Ms. Coulter stirred us all. If she steals other peoples’ work and pawns it off as her own we have only the Left to blame. I guess you’re still locked down on the turkey farm eagerly waiting for Thanksgiving,].
#91 Antagonist, it’s very easy to see (for intelligent people): ETA is surrendering after a lot of police hits to his infraestructure, and the incarceration of his higher bosses. And they will not be allowed to talk fo peace and disolotion of the band to the Government, until they surrender. This is the meaning of a cease fire. If ETA had the force of some years ago, they will never surrender.
But hey, I will not wait until you understand it, you’re too slow.
# 5 I kicked Chuck Norris’s ass!
# 6 you are an ass

liberal morons, Listen to Coulter you might learn something, like how stupid, repugnant and traitorous you are.
figure that you would do the nazi analogy big poopa, that’s all you liberals got anymore.
I saw a good t-shirt today. it said: bigot: anybody that disagrees with a liberal. how very true. oh and by the way big poopa your rhyming skills and your pathetic poetic persuals really suck.
but that’s to be expected with that mental illness you have called liberalism. take two doses of common sense, go to bed and shut up about it, you’ll get better……someday when you grow up.
To Coulter defenders,
Plagiarism isn’t a liberal vs. conservative issue; it is a copyright (legal) and ethical issue.
I worked for a while as an editor in a publishing house in the days before google, which should make it easier to check quotes for plagiarism. Still, when comparing one submitted manuscript with a published book on a similar topic, I found far too many almost word-for-word passages in the ms. and ultimately rejected it for publication. To this day, I have no idea what the author’s politics were.
yeah right , go ahead and bash coulter you commie slime. Ann Coulter should be president!

At least among the crowd that can spell academic.
July 3rd, 2006 at 3:07 amDepends on how one defines “plagiarism”. To me, one would have to copy significant passages word for word before qualifying as a plagiarist.
Perhaps John Barrie should consider running Dr. Martin Luther King’s PhD thesis through his plagiarism-recognition system to see how well it really works.
July 3rd, 2006 at 3:10 amMy goodness, what is moonbat so enraged about? You’d think he and his family had had bombs dropped on them by some distant superpower, and that he was the only survivor.
Moonbat, is it possible to have genuine conversation with you? I honestly want to understand what it is about “liberals” you hate so intensely. Leave a post on my blog or something in case I don’t catch your response here.

Nah, MA is actually Anne Coulter. Similar righting style, they use the same basic lines (I was once a librul, I am a lawyer etc…) its all the same basic drivel.
July 3rd, 2006 at 6:55 amTo me, one interesting thing about this article is that it appeared in Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post. Could this be a sign that the right-wing is disowning her? I’m pretty sure that her book was published by a company not owned by Murdoch (some do exist).
July 3rd, 2006 at 7:40 am#39 Jane and I have theorized that moonbat patrol is really Bill O’Reilly. Or someone who works for Bill O’Reilly. Or someone who has a shrine to Bill O’Reilly in his house.
July 3rd, 2006 at 8:23 amSo, shouldn’t the people who’ve been plagarized do something? Like sue her? Money is what she values - so take it away from her.
Al Gore donated 100% of the profits of his book and movie to his cause. He didn’t keep one single dime. How much of Coulter’s profits aren’t going into her pocket? I’d guess 100%.

July 3rd, 2006 at 8:47 ammake that plagiarism

I understand completely. We all make typos (yes, me, too). It’s one thing to nitpick someone’s spelling if their meaning becomes lost as a result of it. But if the only thing one can say in response to an otherwise intelligent, sensible post is to nitpick some insignificant spelling errors, then the nitpicker has lost the point of debating an issue.

July 3rd, 2006 at 10:49 am#56 unbelievable,
Coulter has written that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
July 3rd, 2006 at 10:54 amWayne,
She’s supposed to be funny?
July 3rd, 2006 at 11:14 amEditor & Publisher has picked up on this too…
as carpetbagger writes: I hate to get optimistic about such things, but this could be a career killer. News outlets don’t seem to mind giving a forum to far-right bombthrowers who recommend killing war heroes or joke about murdering Supreme Court justices, but editors and publishers tend to disapprove when writers steal other writers’ words. It’s usually a deal-breaker.
i won’t be holding my breath…

Blond is male. Blonde is female.
The accompanying picture lends credence to their assertion. Ick.
Also, I think it’s funny she copied liberal sources. Planned parenthood could use a good financial settlement.

July 3rd, 2006 at 11:41 amHey moonbat patrol!

July 3rd, 2006 at 12:04 pm#64 Zooey,
I could be wrong, but I thought that they had re-scheduled it for tomorrow, the Fourth, some time in the afternoon.

July 3rd, 2006 at 12:36 pmPlagiarism is not merely the act of a lazy, stupid mind. The odds of getting caught, especially for a high profile personality like Coulter, are very, very high. Poor Ann is just looking for a good spanking.
July 3rd, 2006 at 12:40 pm#70 Zooey,
BTW, congratulations on the new job.
July 3rd, 2006 at 12:43 pmThere is nothing academic about a book on ill-thoughts and mean-spirited bullshit. Its pure entertainment like Jerry Springer or pro wrestling. Some people just want to hear nasty things about other people and they are willing to pay or it.
In Mr. Coulters defense, he just understands the glorious US system of capitalism, culture and the cherished American values and making a sweet penny at it.

July 3rd, 2006 at 1:22 pmI don’t know how much more we can talk about Ann Coulter’s plagairism… So, off topic, but newsworthy:

July 3rd, 2006 at 1:32 pmCowards and traitors, masquerading as patriots.
July 3rd, 2006 at 1:45 pmAnn Coulter will be busy during the 4th Reich if we don’t get our collectives arses!
July 3rd, 2006 at 1:54 pmHave you ever read any of Anne Coulter’s books?
How well the left knows this technique…
July 3rd, 2006 at 1:59 pmAntagonist,
you mean like the Bush GOP attacked El Baradei and Annan When they said that there were no proofs of WMD in Iraq prior to the invasion? Or when the french, german and russian governments expressed their doubts about the capacity of Iraq to launch a WMD attack in the USA soil in 45 minutes?

Oh Wayne, don’t tease…
July 3rd, 2006 at 2:15 pm#81
I was thinking in terms of the Democratic party’s constant attacks on the Bush administration, and the left’s constant attacks on every conservative voice in America. By the way, Bush and the GOP criticized Annin and the UN for being a useless debate society. The original UN sanctions against Iraq only produced a corrupt oil for food scandal. Saddam never cooperated with those sanctions, and the UN never enforced them. Hooray for diplomacy!
July 3rd, 2006 at 2:43 pmSure, Antagonist, the sanctions were so innefective that, when your country’s army entered Iraq, you found almost no opposition and Rumsfeld did a record time run to Baghdad with a highly dubious blitzkrieg-like strategy, impossible if the Hussein army hadn’t crumbled.
July 3rd, 2006 at 2:54 pm#84
July 3rd, 2006 at 3:21 pmAntagonist,
the WMD found are a few shells who someone forgot at some hidden cache from a war 15 years ago.
July 3rd, 2006 at 3:33 pmActually, they’ve been finding leftover CWs in scattered locations.
July 3rd, 2006 at 3:36 pmAnd, Antagonist,
we’re not bending to the desires of the terrorists. We are making them sign a Rendition Agreement. Like your country did with Germany and Japan when the USA “bended over and grabbed his ankles”. Really, you’re a great source of humour.

To Coulter defenders,
July 4th, 2006 at 10:44 pmPlagiarism isn’t a liberal vs. conservative issue; it is a copyright (legal) and ethical issue.
