I've lived in Poland since early 1992, and given the current political situation in the country, it seemed rather dubious that someone in the government would "break" with the strong pro-American stance of this administration. I didn't have to wait long. Today StanisÅ‚aw Koziej resigned his post. His replacement will be the current assistant ambassador to the US. Poland is currently being ruled by twin brothers, president and prime minister KaczyÅ„ski, who have made their careers as extreme right-wing idealogues. Lech, the president recently snubbed Germany after a satiric article appeared in one of that country's newspapers.
