# 66 I live in a farming community in the Tx panhandle and SOME crops are dying, but that is normal around here. also the heat arond here is not above normal in any way. Also i have not seen Al Gore's recent movie (nor did i know anything of it before reading any of these comments) but i do agree with some of your timelines. Yea hopefully the world will see what all we are doing to the enviroment and to our world.

o ya... PS I dont think Al Gore is such a <em>'smart man with common sense who cares for the world the way we all should be'</em> he believes in abortion! which is MURDER many people other than just Al Gore have common sense...you just have to get out of big cities to actually find them

Al Gore spoke the truth in the movie I recently saw at the movie theature. Anyone who has common sence knows it is not normal to breath in Pollution into our lungs from fumes. Allergies, Ashma is on the rise in America for a reason we can't ignore.

When greed takes over the minds of people who turn their face for the mighty dollar the outcome of (their own doing) creates their own wrath upon themselves as well as innocent people living in this earth.

Crops are dieing from the heatwaves. No food = No survival.

Trees are uprooted for lumber/houses/companies/Hwy's. No Trees = No Oxygen

Pollution Triggers World Catastrophies: Tornadoes, Melting of the Ice, Oceans to Rise, Killing of Innocent Natural Habitats along with Animals who can't sustain a normal environment to survive etc;

Pray that the World wakes up to the fact of what Al Gore is trying to warn mankind about.

The Writing is Around Us (Open your Eyes wide).

Thank God for people like VP Al Gore a smart man with common-sence who cares for the world the way we all should be.

PS

I'm sure Sen Inhofe knows more about atmospheric science then the scientists themselves!

/sarcasm

This just in: you shouldn't trust the conclusions of senators and congressman over scientists when it comes to science! Would you listen to Mr. Inhofe if he told you that smoking was good for you, or would you listen to a doctor who warns you of cancer?

Scientists know what they're talking about here!

<em>Who out there is willing to take the risk that the Greenland ice plate will melt? The melting has begun. </em>

I am! Let it melt, more clean drinking water and more land to plant trees...Finally Greenland can be Green... Why do you hate the forrest so much...LOL...

PS The debate still wages;

Sen. James Inhofe, chairman of the Senate environment committee who has called global warming "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people."

"At the end of the day, it will all be revealed as a bad joke," said Richard Lindzen, professor of atmospheric sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

All I know is normally our afternoon highs here in Denver are 88-90 degrees in July and we're reaching 100-106 degrees. It doesn't fall down to 88 until nightfall and doesn't drop much below that all night... so there's very little relief from the heat. That's still not direct proof of global warming but again, if every year we see slightly higher temps then the previous year... how long until it becomes proof? When its too hot to live here? Global warming deniers will say "its just a heat wave" every year until conditions become so RIDICULOUSLY hot that not even they will be able to dismiss it.

The thermometer outside my window in the alley read 104 on Saturday. The official high was 97, and the record for this date was 102.

It's not so much how often the high temperature records are being broken. It's how often the daily minimum temperatures exceed all previous records. It doesn't cool off at night like it used to because of the greenhouse effect.

#52 wait until August, that's the usual beginning of hurricane season.

My predictions: category 5 hurricanes every year, also record breaking temps every year back to back. Within 20 years I predict we'll have a cat 6 hurricane hit us. New Orleans will be abandoned. Course, I'm not a scientist but I'm going to predict anyway!

A heat wave in the summer may be usual, and no reason to think global warming would have induced it. Except for the fact that these are record temperatures... in other words this is one of the hottest years ever recorded.

Here in Denver, we reached an ALL TIME record over the weekend. It broke the last record... which was coincidentally last year.

How many years in a row will we have to break "all time high" records before it starts to become proof? I guess when its 120 degrees here in Denver people might start to finally get it. Too bad it'll be too late by then.

<blockquote>Huh, so yo are saying, that in mid to late July, the continental US is experiencing a heat wave? Wow, who could have seen that coming?

The boys that grew up with my son are in Iraq as we speak. Poor Kids. Good thing here in SE NM they got good training practicing two a days in 120 degree heat with full pads and uniforms for football all summer long. They practice like this each summer. These boys will be okay by the heat, they are used to it. But I sure hope they are okay in other ways. Glad my 21 year old hasn't decided to go to. His friends are all there. He's thinking about quitting college and going too. I am scared for him, but it's his choice I suppose.

Global warming is real. When I was three, the snow acclimation was over my head. Now that is no longer true.
