Number of White House officials who have been stripped of their security clearance over the leak of Valerie Plame’s identity. “In a letter to Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), the CIA said it had no record of anyone in the administration who is no longer privy to the nation’s most sensitive secrets because of the Plame leak.”

    Does this include Rove?

  2. exley says:

Hmmmm….That is probably because no crime or violation of law was committed. As we all know, the Fitzgerald investigation has filed no charges alleging that anyone in the administration violated the Intelligence Identities Protection Act or illegally disclosed classified information….It is really time to put this non-story, pushed by those two publicity-seeking self-promoters Joe “I like Mint Tea” Wilson and Valerie “I want my picture in Vanity Fair” Plame, to rest, folks.

  3. LeisureGuy says:

I think Karl Rove probably fears any day now to lose his job, since President Bush clearly stated that anyone who was found to be involved with the leak would lose their White House job. Rove was clearly found involved with the leak (as was Scooter Libby—who no longer works at the White House). So any day now, the “I mean what I say and I do what I say” President will follow through on his plain statement. Or maybe not. Maybe he’s just a weasly, sleazy, liar. Your call.

  4. bones says:

exley, I hope you’re being sarcastic, because if you’re not, you’re an idiot. CIA felt an agent had been inappropriately outed, they referred the case for prosecution. Second, CIA officials have said that Bruester Jennings was comprimised and agents and contacts have died over this. Third, the reason we don’t have intel info on Iranian nuclear secrets is because Bruester Jennings cover was blown. Finally, how the hell do you plan on recruiting undercover operatives when you show them their lives are fully expendable, not to get the intel, but because it’s politically expedient to discredit them and blow their cover. You should be ashamed, CIA agents and their contacts have died because of these political bastards, fathers and mothers won’t be coming home to their kids because DICK Cheney’s ego was insulted by someone who disagreed with him.

  5. Lets just expose ALL of our CIA agents!! Why the hell not? says:

I cannot comment on a ongoing investgation.

  6. exley says:

Note how Bones totally ignores the fact that after a two year investigation by the special counsel, no criminal charges alleging violation of the IIPA or the disclosure of classified material have been filed.

Sorry, folks, but you got yourself all worked up into a lather for nothing. You fell for Vanity Fair Valerie’s publicity stunt.

  7. bones says:

Notice how exley ignores the fact that the same CIA officers that we count on to catch the bad guys are convinced one of their agents were outed enough to refer it for prosecution. See how exley ignores the prosecutor who says his investigation isn’t over but he is prosecuting the guys who lied to obstruct justice. Notice how exley ignores the dead agents and loss of intel that endangers the lives of every American to suck Bush’s butt. Sorry ass, that exley to you.

  8. exley says:

Bones reminds me of Linus, who every Halloween waits desperately for the Great Pumpkin to arrive, despite the fact that year after year he is disappointed and despite his friends’ efforts to convince him there is no Great Pumpkin.

Let it go, Bones. There will be no “Fitzmas.” The whole publicity stunt by Wilson and Plame turned into a big “so what.”

  9. jules says:

exely – you are either an idiot or Rove. Go back and read Fitz’s statements. No one has been indicted for outing Plame because Scooter repeatedly lied and sought to undermine the investigation to allow him to discover the facts. Fitz has said he still does not know what happend in this case.

    I’m going with idiot!!

  10. bones says:

Notice how exley has not addressed one arguement I’ve put forward but attempted to distract with the patronizing character of a Bush loyalist. You see it’s because exley can’t address anything I have written. The trutch and facts aren’t something Bush sycophants deal with, they aren’t “facty” people, they operate from their gut. And their gut is full of stool, so that’s what they use for brains.

  11. Skeptic says:

    Exley;
So what if the CIA have been betrayed. So what if our intelligence operations have been compromised. So what if people are dead or imprisoned. Nothing matters but the Bushco has won and Rove is free.
    Justice weeps.
I hope the mills of Justice grinds very fine and we have a very joyous if late Fitzmas.

But you don’t value Justice, or intelligence, or keeping faith with those who risk their lives for America do you?

  12. LeisureGuy says:

Look, exley is a troll and is immune to reason. Just ignore it/him/her.

  13. Cloak & Swagger says:

    Fitz serves the same master.
His job was to minimize the damage, not hold people accountable.
People who thought Fitz was actually going to do any good and ensure that justice was served also probably thought Zelikow was a prize winner for the 9/11 commission report too.
    Wake the f@ck up.

  14. Jackie says:

I noticed all the comments about Fitzgerald and nice propaganda folks your doing a great job for the corrupt Administration. Bush said anyone who leaked the CIA’s name would be fired. Thanks to Novak and Libby we know Karl Rove and Cheney leaked the name. So what does the media and Bush supporters say it’s Patrick Fitzgerald’s fault. Notice all the lies are someone else’s fault never the GOP. Patrick Fitzgerald hasn’t given a press conference yet but for the propaganda employees of Bush just remember the Seal vs Seal cases. If you don’t know what that means ask an attorney. No one who does a great job of protecting the constitution and the American people get respect just those who like Cheney and Bush get all the glory.

  15. Jason says:

They will no longer be in my Administration.

  16. exley says:

“And their gut is full of stool, so that’s what they use for brains.”

Ha ha ha! Oh gosh that’s funny! That’s really funny! Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so clever!!!! God what a clever, smart person you must be, to come up with a joke like that all by yourself. “The trutch and facts aren’t something Bush sycophants deal with, they aren’t “facty” people, they operate from their gut. And their gut is full of stool, so that’s what they use for brains.” Well-done, sir!!!! You, sir, are a veritable Oscar Wilde!!!! Bravo, sir, bravo!!!! Your rapier-like wit does you credit sir!!!! God you’re so funny!

    Hat tip: Seth MacFarlane

  17. Bluedog49 says:

Exley, like any good Bush cultists, prefers to avoid the real issue.

“In order to receive a security clearance providing access to classified information, Rove was required to sign Standard Form 312, which includes the recognition that “I have been advised that any breach of this Agreement may result in the termination of any security clearances that I hold.” According to the agreement’s accompanying briefing booklet, provided by the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO), a “Government employee” who violates the agreement would face the “likely loss of the security clearance”

Standard Form 312 clearly states that disseminating classified information such as personnel and job descriptions is a reason to lose your security clearance.

  18. evoo says:

This story needs to be verified, too many variables, and too many trump cards here for this to even be remotely tue. Someone is blowing smoke. The clearance issue is a no go.

  19. RealScientist says:

Exley systematically misrepresents what Fitzgerald has said about whether a crime was committed or not (Fitz says he can’t make that determination because Scooter lied). Exley’s misrepresentation is deliberate, and made in bad faith.

  20. bones says:

Thank you exley. I hope the facts I offered will help you someday see the truth.

  21. Bluedog49 says:

OJ Simpson stood on the courthouse steps and asked for help in finding the real killers.

GW Bush stood in front of the Oval Office and pleaded for help in finding out who leaked the Valerie Plame info.

What’s the difference? Both liars. Both killers.

  22. evoo says:

Damn if anyone here had anything to say other than the crap that blueball49 puts up, it would be a benificial site, but this is crap. Bitch and moan, bitch and moan. have a great life. see ya.

  23. Bluedog49 says:

Wow, did I just chase evoo off. Great!

  24. bones says:

    Bluedog, they’re not “facty” they’re stooly…Props!

  25. Bluedog49 says:

    Good one, bones!

  26. Marie says:

    Let him have it, bones.
You are doing great with facts.
Exeley is gloating now because the he-said/he-said case could not be proven beyond a doubt, even though the crime of exposing a CIA operative was committed.
So the weasels have been given a break for now.
As for poking fun at Wilson and Plame, that is how weak Exeley is — he has to resort to gossip because the facts are not on his side.

  27. Bluedog49 says:

This post was evidently too much for a Bush cultist to take, so let’s try it again. Maybe we can flush another one down the toilet:

  28. Bowdler says:

Plame/Wilsons crime was exposing the bushites as liers. To bushites no sanction is too great for such a crime.
Incidentally, I was watching C-Span one night and I saw some speeches by these people calling themselves blue-dog Democrats. They seemed to have plenty of common sense arguments. Such as lowering the deficit by repealing the tax cuts for the top 1%. I really agreed with a lot of what they were saying. Oddly enough, you never hear about them in the media. Bluedog49 is your name a reference to these great men?

  29. RedDog says:

Blueballs has no facts, he’s pulling them out of his ass. SF 312 isn’t even a part of a security package.

  30. bones says:

    RedDog – see the following:

    contacts.gsa.gov/webforms.nsf/0/ 03A78F16A522716785256A69004E23F6/$file/SF312.pdf

Pretty much looks like Bluedog is absolutely correct, hard to argue with the evidence posted on the actual government website – so who’s pulling what?

  31. bones says:

By the way if you are trying to find the above in your web browser don’t forget http://

    http://contacts.gsa.gov/webforms.nsf/0/03A78F16A522716785256A69004E23F6/$file/SF312.pdf

  32. RedDog says:

Nope, seems pretty straight foward to me, he’s blowing it out of his ass…

  33. Exley says:

Hahahahahahha! I can just FEEL everyone’s embarassment that they actually believed the publicity-seekers’ story that they were “outed.” Heh! Look, every investigation of this incident has shown that Valerie “Oh My Goodness My Privacy Has Been Violated So I Will Pose In Vanity Fair” Plame’s story has been a total sham! And you guys bought it! Heh! Next time, before you folks convince yourself you are correct, check the facts and the law…That way, you will spare yourselves a lot of embarassment. The Bush Administration accepts your apology.

  34. Bowdler says:

Leaks supporting bush lies = good. Leaks exposing bush lies = bad. Isn’t that your true point exley?

  35. Jason M. Hendler says:

Yes, the Valerie Plame story was much ado about nothing. All those weeks and months when the dems could have been developing their core values, policies, platform, candidates and campaigns, instead they griped about Iraq, Katrina, wiretapping, Valerie Plame, etc.

When Lieberman wins his primary in a couple weeks, Dems will see what they should have seen when Busby lost – November is going to leave the federal government firmly in control of the Republicans.

  36. bones says:

SO reddog, SF 312 in writing on the government website and seems straightforward to you – yep you’re a liar and a troll. Sorry you evidently can’t read but everyone else here can, so you’re opinions are worthless. Exley, you are an obvious troll. 70% of the American people have heard your song and dance and reject you and your opinions. By the way, you still haven’t refuted one arguement and I’m sorry that you are so blind you would rather hurt Americans to support a failed President/ And Hendler seen your idiocy here before, trolls all.

  37. Gregor Samsa says:

SF 312 isn’t even a part of a security package.
    Comment by RedDog — July 24, 2006 @ 8:54 pm

Standard Form 312 (SF 312) is a non-disclosure agreement required under Executive Order 13292 to be signed by employees of the Federal Government or one of its contractors when they are granted a security clearance for access to classified information.
    Wikipedia: Standard Form 312

The SF-312 is a contractual agreement between the U.S. Government and a cleared employee that must be executed as a condition of access to classified information.

Thanks Gregor and if you click thru to

    http://contacts.gsa.gov/webforms.nsf/0/03A78F16A522716785256A69004E23F6/$file/SF312.pdf

you can actually see SF 312 on the government website. As you can see facts mean NOTHING to zealots, they will look you square in the face and tell you the sky isn’t blue and smear your mom. They are trying to tell us the 70% that reject Bush are stupid, when the reverse is true.

  39. Gregor Samsa says:

    Bones,

You are welcome. I did see your post and followed the link.

Personally, I post links and sources for the rest of us who are interested in learning. For the most part, the Bush cultists are a lost case; don’t bother trying to debate them. Present the facts, back them up with evidence and move on.

It is easier to get an ass to understand the theory of relativity, than to make a Bush apologist accept objective facts.

  40. Jay Randal says:

Bush knew from day one that Karl Rove outed Valerie Plame-Wilson to the press, because Dubya himself told Karl to do it! Everything for George is a frat-party game, so nobody gets punished for doing anything bad!

  42. Scrapiron says:

I suspect that most if not all of the lefties commenting on here are graduates of the failed liberal college system. All have ignored the facts that ‘no one’ other than Wilson outed Plame and that it was well know by every bartender and cab driver in D.C. that Plame was a low level employee at the CIA, not the secret agent the lefties want her to be. She had simply became too old to perform the tricks required to obtain intel from foreign sources. They want the young things.
Trying to show their education level has only proven they are idiots with a piece of paper and no education.

GRAPHIC VIDEO – Lebanese Doctor Says ‘Phosphorus Weapons’ Cause Suffering

CNN video correspondent, Karl Penhaul, follows a family that had been mistakenly caught in an Israeli air strike. The doctor treating the family says that there is phosphorus in the weapons that cause extremely painful burns on it’s victims.

    ———————————————————

Lebanon president says Israel uses phosphorous arms

PARIS, July 24 (Reuters) – Lebanon’s president accused Israel on Monday of using phosphorous bombs in its 13-day offensive and urged the United Nations to demand an immediate ceasefire.

“According to the Geneva Convention, when they use phosphorous bombs and laser bombs, is that allowed against civilians and children?” President Emile Lahoud asked on France’s RFI radio.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said arms used in Lebanon did not contravene international norms.

  44. Cyra Brown says:

If this is such a ‘non-event’, and no one did anything illegal, have the charges against Scooter Libby been dropped? And if there was no ‘crime’ committed, what was Scooter hiding? You can’t obstruct an imaginary investigation. But none of it matters anyway. BushCo dosen’t care about what is legal or illegal. They do what they want, and lie their asses off. They ignore the laws they don’t want to obey all the time. If BushCo was charged for every law they have broken, the trial would last 50 years. Everyone knows they are criminals, but some prefer to ignore it. Reality is too ugly for them, but they still know what it is. And when BushCo is gone, they willpretend that they never supported them.

  45. ct says:

the stupid bitch was outed by her even more stupid husband. who gives a shit

  46. PLC (PatrioticLiberalChristian) says:

Bush should not have waited for a guilty verdict to suspend security clearances. Being the target of an investigation should have been sufficient to trigger such a suspension.

  47. bones says:

HEY CT in order not to be repetitive see post #4, thats why you should give a shit

  48. Marie says:

Trolls think that the Plame/Wilson matter is “win” for their side because they are too blind to see beyond the end of their own noses, and too stupid to think about what actually happened, and its ramifications.
#4 provides a short summary of the issue which the blind and stupid trolls apparently cannot comprehend.

  49. exley says:

#19…Nice try, RealScientist, but Fitzgerald has said no such thing….Look, people, just accept it. You got taken in by a couple of publicity hounds who wanted their picture in Vanity Fair and to get a couple of book deals….So, who cares that millions of dollars and man-hours were wasted on an investigation that (to your dismay) found there was no violation of the IIPA or other laws dealing with national secuirty and classified material???

  50. Retired Republican Soldier says:

Gee, after much baying at the moon, blogging on line, and pontificating at the local Strarbuck’s there was NOBODY indicted for the crime of exposing a low-level “analysts” that went to work at Langley five-days-a-week (real hush-hush stuff there). I know it’s a mystery to you all but since NO crime was committed with respect to security it’s hard to justify taking away somebody’s security clearance. But please keep picking at that scab until after November and wonder again why you lost yet another election cycle.

  51. ct says:

these idiots cant get over the fact that since joe wilson outed his own moron wife – it cannot become a campaign issue. which was all it was about from the get-go anyway. not to worry lefties…. another fake issue will present itself

  52. bones says:

49/50/51 – yeah, you’re right the fact that the director of the CIA filed a case with the Justice Department for prosecution doesn’t at all tell you the Director of the CIA, a republican appointee no less, thinks a crime has been commited. But you as nobies obviously know better than the Director of the CIA. And yes Fitz did say his investigation is not over, he’s turning the screws on one of your beloved weasels, Scooter, and look what ratfink said, DICLIEboy made me do it. Creeps all. And yes it is a campaign issue, do you want low lifes or statesmen, 70% in the polls right now say the republofascists are dead meat. Sorry you’ve been in jail and missed the latest news, butt eventually that’s where all you will end up.

  53. bones says:

And I can tell you right now, Dickie boy ain’t going to do very well in prison.
