I suppose you would like the attack to have been carried out and thousands of people dead (no, I really don’t think you want Americans, or any one else for that matter to die). And don’t even try to pretend that you libs would not use their deaths as “a political gain”. As the Iranians and other assorted terrorist nations danced and sang, you would be pointing fingers at Bush. “See, he can’t keep us safe! Elect us and all the terrorists will love us again.” I don’t see this thwarted attempt to be anything for Bush, it is a victory for the civilized world. I don’t hear him taking any credit for it, but all of you KNOW that if it had not been stopped he would have gotten ALL the blame.

Heres my guess: GB was investigating this thing for some time. They let the bushites know something was going on last friday, but not to say anything because they have an ongoing investigation. Have you ever considered limiting the comments on each thread to no more than, say, fifty at a time? When the comments reach 50 just restart the thread, leaving the previous fifty in the archives. An excellent point. It is a fallacy to believe that “fighting them over there” prevents terrorist attacks outside Iraq. See e.g. Madrid, London. I hate that vacuous slogan. I would have loved to see us go after the people who attacked us on 9/11 rather than diverting into a counterproductive and tragic operation in Iraq. In fact, in the days after 9/11, it would have been impossible to convince me that we would do anything but hunt down Bin laden and his followers.

Have you ever considered limiting the comments on each thread to no more than, say, fifty at a time? When the comments reach 50 just restart the thread, leaving the previous fifty in the archives. It sometimes seems a waste to post in the higher numbers, this post for example, because the sides have been chosen and the comments are usually what I like to term “CB BS” after the father of the Blog, the Citizens Band Radio. Just a thought but, I think, an opportunity to expand the number of participants.

An excellent point. It is a fallacy to believe that “fighting them over there” prevents terrorist attacks outside Iraq. See e.g. Madrid, London. I hate that vacuous slogan. I would have loved to see us go after the people who attacked us on 9/11 rather than diverting into a counterproductive and tragic operation in Iraq. In fact, in the days after 9/11, it would have been impossible to convince me that we would do anything but hunt down Bin laden and his followers.

Thats what democracy is: to respect the will of people not just some election every now and then. Our countries in a democracy belongs to us. Even in a communist state, the ultimate good resides on the group. WE have to let these assholes know that we are in charge here, not them.

Send letters to your congressmen, make boycotts on non-basic products, gather with friends (now, that would be a good reason to ask for Zoo´s E-mail, you lucky fella) and talk about these issues, protest pacifically…I dont know.
