Today on Fox News’s Your World with Neil Cavuto, private investigator Bo Dietl argued that Arabs and Muslims should be subjected to racial profiling because Islam is a “Johnny-come-lately” religion and Muslims “pray to someone who wants to kill you.” Watch it:
Transcript:
And Neil, the bottom line is, this is a Johnny-come-lately religion. Christians and Jews have been around for 1600 years, 1500 years before. When they’re having a religion talking about killing people, I think we should reevaluate people who pray to someone who wants to kill you.
We do know one thing for sure - Dietl is a “Johnny-come-never” to religious tolerance.
How do you spell racist bastard again?
August 14th, 2006 at 5:39 pmThis guy speaks for a lot of people.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:40 pmWelcome to redneck America.
Oh please, Bo Dietl is absolutely certifiable and too inept to handle a two-house paper route. The guy’s as unintelligible as the Budweiser ferret.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:40 pmJews, have been around for about what like 3,000 years, Christians, 2,000, and Islam around 1300 years. The Dianetics, now that is a johnny-come-lately religion.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:42 pmIn the past, The Daily Show has used Bo Dietl as their go-to guy when they wanted some insane ramblings about the war on terra. He’s no George Felix Allen, Jr. when it comes to racial tolerance.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:42 pmMore racism. More and more and more racism.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:42 pmHe sucks!
August 14th, 2006 at 5:42 pmThis guy is a clown. As such, this thread thould not be taken seriously.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:45 pmCome on, y’all. You’ve seen this guy before. This is THE guy Fox goes to ON PURPOSE to get some over-the-top, ridiculously racist bullshit statements. He’s PAID to say this red-meat shit. This is all he does every time he comes on….

August 14th, 2006 at 5:46 pmConservatives == Clowns
This is what they have been reduced to? Weird. No wonder America as I knew it no longer exists.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:47 pmA complete and total idiot. ANYONE that believes a word this guy says is equally idiotic.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:49 pm“I think we should reevaluate people who pray to someone who wants to kill you.”
That’s right! It’s horrible when people take religion too far! Thank goodness that never happens within any other religions!
August 14th, 2006 at 5:49 pmAnyone who has heard Bo Dietl even just a few times on Imus knows he has nothing but scar tissue for brains.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:52 pmIt’s more like: Jews over 5,000 years, Christians for over 2000 years and Muslims for over 1600 years. These bigots can never get their facts straight.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:53 pmThe Torah and the Bible both say that the Jewish and Christian gods want to kill all non-believers of their respective religions as well. But as usual for these self-proclaimed prophets, they don’t read their own books. Typical hypocritical newspeak…
August 14th, 2006 at 5:56 pmBo should spend more time investigating his privates. They seem to be missing.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:56 pmIf your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst.
Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB
August 14th, 2006 at 5:58 pmDarn those Muslims. I mean it’s not like Christians ever killed in the name of THEIR god before. Wacky people.
August 14th, 2006 at 5:59 pmJeez thanks for NUTHIN, Bo Dietl and Fox News — care to say anything else to embolden the terrorists?
August 14th, 2006 at 6:00 pmjust another example of quality FOX broadcasting.
August 14th, 2006 at 6:01 pmBut unbelievable, that can be translated in so many ways!
August 14th, 2006 at 6:01 pmIt’s not literal. You know, like KILL them with kindness! STONE them with roses? Right? I bet that’s the next line. Just like liberals to take things out of context!
The difference between a dangerous cult and an established religion is about 100 years. See: Mormons, Christian Science, Seventh-Day Adventists, the Witnesses, Falun Gong etc.
…not to mention Hebrews, Christians, Mohammedans, Shiia, Buddhists, Shinto, Lutherans, etc.
This guys misses the point. There are 1.2 BILLION Muslims. Even if 1% of 1% of 1% of them is totally berserker nuts–that’s still 1200 people. How many folks are heading up Al Qaeda, Islamic Jihad, Jamaa Islamiya, etc anyway?
August 14th, 2006 at 6:03 pmthis jackass knows nothing about islam, and what’s worse, he doesn’t care.
that’s the whole problem with this administration: they know nothing about the middle east, but somehow they believe they can reshape it like clay.
meanwhile the rest of us get to painfully watch as they discover the middle east is not clay — it’s friggin’ c4.

Hey, haven’t seen you in a while. Everything good on your end?
I’m sure this is out of context as well. I’m sure it’s mean that you’re supposed to slaughter these children with kitten whiskers…. oh wait, that’s tickle…
Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants.

I guess that makes the one true religon what? The Egytians, worshiping the sun? Afterall that is at least 6000 years old which would make christianity a johnnie-come-lately religon.
August 14th, 2006 at 6:08 pmWhen they’re having a religion talking about killing people, I think we should reevaluate people who pray to someone who wants to kill you.
The Christian Bible talks about killing people. Encourages it, in fact.
Didn’t we see Emperor Bush praying to a Christian god??
So let me guess. The comment at the top applies to King George of America. Right? I’m sure this is what the commentator was thinking. Yes. Yes. Yes.
August 14th, 2006 at 6:09 pmThat’s right, it’s mistranslated. You see, in the original Hebrew, the characters for “slaughter” and “tickle” were quite similar, strangely enough. And in the second passage, that should be “puppy” not “sword”
August 14th, 2006 at 6:10 pmAnd I am well, thank you. You?
Even earlier than the Egyptians, the Celts were worshipping nature, including the sun around 8,000 to 10,000 years ago.
And before the Celts, there was Animism, the oldest known religion of all.

I am sure Mormons would be delighted to know that theirs is also a “Johny-come-lately” religion.
And if a religion deserves respect because of its “seniority”, Hinduism is even older.
Christians and Jews have been around for 1600 years, 1500 years before.
Judaism maybe. Christianity, no way: Muhammad was spreading Islam in the early 7th century.

August 14th, 2006 at 6:30 pmAnd the christian god doesn’t want to kill you too? Tell that to all non-christians, heathens, adulterers, anyone who swore at their parents, anyone who had during their period… (All are condemed to death in Deuteronomy and Leviticus)
Oh, and christians weren’t around for 1500 years before Islam either. Get your facts straight. Christians have probably been around for maybe 500 years longer. Not 1500.
But, if you really read history, christianity itself is a johnny-come-late religion. Tons of Pagan religions including the sun worshipers (that christianity all leeched off by the way) existed before it.
Celts were worshipping nature, including the sun around 8,000 to 10,000 years ago.
Hmm, can we convince this to the christians who for some reason believe the earth is only 6000 years old?
But really, he flooded the earth, purposefully hardened the heart of the pharoah to kill all 1st born in egypt, killed someone for ‘withdrawing’, killed lot’s wife for turning around, destoryed Saddam and Gemora, led about 10 different genocides (which killed 100,000+), killed thousands of isralites just after presenting the 10 commandments…
Could I go on? nah, I’ll stop here.

Maybe in 1300 years the Islamo-wacks will evolve from barbarity to civility….One can hope….

Bigotry knows no bounds; particularly noticeable on Fox.
Bo Dietl is a thug that likes to go on air and threaten people with smear attacks.
This is what he said he’d do to Andrea Mackris, because she sued pervert Bill O”Rielly:
“There’s no case of sexual harassment there and now what we’re going to do as investigators now is take her credibility and show the court, if it ever goes there, her credibility falling apart. This is going to be a message to people. When you file these frivolous lawsuits and you think you’re going to get people that are well known give you money for garbage like this, we’re going to investigate you. We’re going to uncover things that we’ve already—about your life so you’re wide open right now. So beware, people.â€

August 14th, 2006 at 6:43 pmThe following are the characteristics of the “sun of God”:
The sun “dies” for three days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops in its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north.
In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be “born of a Virgin.”
The sun is the “Light of the World.”
The sun “cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him.”
The sun rising in the morning is the “Savior of mankind.”
The sun wears a corona, “crown of thorns” or halo.71
The sun “walks on water.”
The sun’s “followers,” “helpers” or “disciples” are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass.
The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the “Most High”; thus, “he” begins “his Father’s work” at “age” 12.
The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30°; hence, the “Sun of God” begins his ministry at “age” 30.
The sun is hung on a cross or “crucified,” which represents its passing through the equinoxes, the vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected

August 14th, 2006 at 6:44 pmMuslims pray to Mohammed, a prophet, who BTW died quite a long time ago.
Deutromony has as much smite and kill your religious enemy as the Quran does, the evangelicals need alot of Jews to die so they can be saved. Over at Freeper.com we find people praying to Jesus, and God, for the death of liberals, jews, muslims and anybody who doesn’t their belief.
I have seen many a post from the Jewish religion as well Prayng for the death of their religious enemies. I have seen atheists ask for the death of non atheists…..it never ends…
We have today these same words from prophets passed that have cause much death and destruction . Yet we are apparently still trapped by these words, by our beliefs, that one mans belief is more righteous than anothers man’s belief system.
One belief is not more right than another belief because all beliefs are equally unproven.
I believe the sky is Purple, You may believe it is blue.
Should I pray to my God to kill all those that say the sky is blue?
Should the purps form a group of like minded purps to defeat the blues?
And wouldn’t then the blues also form a group to counter my group?
And the battle, of iignorance, would begin again.

#47 Jane,
Thanks for that reminder about the Daily Show appearance - NOW i recall where I saw that idiot before. What a jackass.
And everyone with the references to killing, slaying, and general smiting told in the Bible, thanks for all the great reminders. Christians and Jews who think they are the selected among God’s children need to be picked up by their short hairs.
August 14th, 2006 at 6:50 pmThey think do unto others, and love thy neighbor apply only to those like themselves.
Islam does call for killing people. for example in the Hadith it commands followers of Allah to murder apostates. There are also numerous passage in the Koran itself that unambigiously order violence in the name of Islam.
The same types of monsterous things are in the Bible, but thankfully aren’t followed literally by quite as many people. I wish Liberals weren’t so timid about criticizing Islam. It is irrational like all religions and has led to the oppression of people for centuries.
August 14th, 2006 at 6:51 pm#72 - …I will have to correct you. Mohammad is the prophet, he is human so muslims don’t pray to him —-> They pray to GOD who sent Mohammad.

August 14th, 2006 at 7:16 pmHitler was not a christian.
Oh yes he was…
“My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly, it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. And when I look on my people I see them work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week they have only for their wages wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people are plundered and exposed.”
—Adolf Hitler, speech on April 12, 1922, published in My New Order

Comment by Bluedog49 — August 14, 2006 @ 7:11 pm
The Romans were first pagans. They took the pagan gods of the Latins and merged them withthe gods of the Greeks. (I took a semester Lit. course on Greek and Roman mythology in college). Their gods were mostly symbolic. They were more infatuated as a culture with the man anatomy.
Actually, the Holy Roman Empire wasn’t in Rome. Constantine moved the Roman Empire to Istanbul, where after the Empire crumbled, he changed the religion to Christianity. The Holy Roman Empire was actually seated in Eastern European cities - including Prague. It was an attempt to reconsitute the Roman Empire by the Vatican.

August 14th, 2006 at 7:33 pmWhy has this thread been taken over by a bunch of fools? In case you haven’t noticed, the whole point of this Rupert Murdoch approved slanderous statement about Islam is to set up yet another war. Get it?
August 14th, 2006 at 7:34 pmA little basic religious history since it seems that there is a need for some factual accuracy in these posts, particularly given the unbelievable ignorance of Dietl’s comment.
The Torah, written by several authors over a number of centuries, was codified around 640 BCE during the buildout of the kingdom of Judea though the first complete collection of books that were codified into the Torah found so far was dated at 1000 BCE.
The first known writing regarding Christianity came from Paul and date 30 CE, but the religion itself was not codified (the Bible with the Gospels) until much later, between 170 CE and 210 CE and later following the Councils of Alexandria and Nicea.
The Islamic calendar starts in 622CE with the Hijra exodus following several years of development from the visions and the writing of the Koran. Following the death of the Prophet in 632 CE the religion split into the Sunni and Shia sects.
There is so much more to the stories but for now, these basic facts should suffice.
August 14th, 2006 at 7:35 pmTrue, all loyal Communists were atheists, but they were atheists because of their Communism — not Communists because of their atheism. In fact, Communism dictated that Soviet citizens (subjects) become atheists, which went much further than the role Christianity then played in America, when our currency did not say, “In God We Trust” and our Pledge of Allegiance did not say, “under God.” This situation is rapidly changing in America today, partly as a reaction to Communism: before, Christianity was simply a choice that America offered her citizens; since the Cold War, Christianity has been exploited to bolster an American sense of nationalism.
The role that atheism played in Communism was as that of State Dogma (I will fall short of saying State Religion). This is most easily seen in the pronouncements of the Soviet Cosmonauts. Yuri Gagarin, the first man in orbit (preceding John Glenn by a few weeks), announced from his capsule: “I don’t see any god up here” — as if that has anything even remotely to do with what the Christians claim; this is, rather, a show of nationalistic contempt toward the United States. Gherman Titov, the first man to spend any significant amount of time in orbit, is quoted as saying, “I am high in the sky, and still I do not see the face of god” — again showing contempt for the claims of Christianity, as a way to bolster Soviet nationalism against the United States.
http://www.positiveatheism.org/mail/eml9169.htm
August 14th, 2006 at 7:35 pmThus, if anybody killed for Communism, they killed for Communism or for the Soviet Union, they did not kill for atheism. In fact, many atheistic Anarchists were killed by the Communists. But during the Inquisition and during the Witch Hunts, people killed for Christ and for no other reason. They burned our forebears in direct obedience to the command in John 15:6: “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” Atheism has no such commandment and needs the help of no State to make its case before humans.

August 14th, 2006 at 7:57 pmBush ‘helped Israeli attack on Lebanon’
Dan Glaister in Los Angeles
Monday August 14, 2006
The Guardian
The US government was closely involved in planning the Israeli campaign in Lebanon, even before Hizbullah seized two Israeli soldiers in a cross border raids in July. American and Israeli officials met in the spring, discussing plans on how to tackle Hizbullah, according to a report published yesterday.
The veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh writes in the current issue of the New Yorker magazine that Israeli government officials travelled to the US in May to share plans for attacking Hizbullah.
Quoting a US government consultant, Hersh said: “Earlier this summer … several Israeli officials visited Washington, separately, ‘to get a green light for the bombing operation and to find out how much the United States would bear’.”
The Israeli action, current and former government officials told Hersh, chimed with the Bush administration’s desire to reduce the threat of possible Hizbullah retaliation against Israel should the US launch a military strike against Iran.
“A successful Israeli Air Force bombing campaign … could ease Israel’s security concerns and also serve as a prelude to a potential American pre-emptive attack to destroy Iran’s nuclear installations,” sources told Hersh.
Yesterday Mr Hersh told CNN: “July was a pretext for a major offensive that had been in the works for a long time. Israel’s attack was going to be a model for the attack they really want to do. They really want to go after Iran.”
An unnamed Pentagon consultant told Hersh: “It was our intention to have Hizbullah diminished and now we have someone else doing it.”
Officials from the state department and the Pentagon denied the report. A spokesman for the National Security Council told Hersh that “The Israeli government gave no official in Washington any reason to believe that Israel was planning to attack.”

Since Congress (or the government) didn’t ban him from publicly speaking his mind I don’t think that is the case. The people who pay for this site have the right to allow whatever they want on it.
