    Terrorcrat.

  2. NoMoreBush Says:

Could a reporter simply ask these fear-mongering clowns for proof of this patently unproveable statement?

  3. g Says:

I suppose we choose the republican stratagy. spend every single dollar we have on useless defense. That reminds me of another stratagy. the Soviet Union’s strategy in the cold war. we all know how that turned out. Its time to reevaluate ourselves. Vote Democrat

  4. Vladi G Says:

The same Orrin Hatch that exposes classified information in the Senate? The terrorists love guys like him.

  5. Republicans are the fear and smear party Says:

Some might say that Orrin Hatch is a wingnut.

  6. Grey Eagle Says:

Not only we have a crapy foreign policy ,we also have a crapy congress that must be replaced. Hatch knows the emminent loss for the repubs . He needs to accompany Bush to Salt Lake and experience the reception of mayor Anderson and his bull horn . He’ll know for sure what his people thinks.

  7. Democratic Soldier Says:

The terrorists didn’t successfully stike in America until AFTER the Republicans took the house, senate and Presidency.

It looks like the terrorists want Republicans voted into office so they can do it again!

  8. For Truth Says:

Too bad Oral Hatch wont lose his seat this Nov.

  9. Publius Says:

Way to leave politics out of the terror discussion. What a joke.

  10. For Truth Says:

So Orrin knows the Dems will take control?

  11. ron Says:

i guess the terrorists were waiting until bushco was installed then they attacked on 9-11.

  12. Zimzone Says:

    Orrin’s Hatched!
    Terrorism works both ways, Senator,
    why are you a Terrorist?
Bush give Terrorists reasons to strike us again.

  13. s Says:

There is no point in even asking for proof or talking about this trash as if it merited a serious listen. The Republicans have gotten together to smear Democrats by using terrorism in order to retain power. Period. Orin Hatch is a corrupt old geezer. Period. These Senators don’t know any more about what drives the terroists or when they are likely to strike than the ordinary American. Bush has no plan..they have no plan. If American’s cannot see through this absolutely evil scheme to scare them into keeping the thugs in power, they deserve to be lead by thugs.

  14. Anon1 Says:

On the contrary, the terrorists are hoping for the republicans to remain in control, so that America will go bankrupt, will continue to lose credibility and influence, and end up with 50% of our elected officials in jail.

  15. SF Betty Says:

    what a dick

  16. dlet Says:

Wait, didn’t the terrorists wait for the Republicans to get into power then attacked us. Mr Hatch has it backwards. The terrorists love the Repubs because they couldn’t ask for a better(worse) group of people making such tremendous foreign policy blunders.

  17. DRxJ Says:

well garsh, that sure sounds familiar!

Let’s see, substitute Democrats with Republicans, and voila…it’s vintage 2001. you know, really, it’s time for citizens to stand up to idiotic statements like what Mr.Hatch says. Fear and smear (thank you #5) cannot be allowd to work again for an election.
I betcha anything we will have “elevated, color coated, terror alerts” now until November.

  18. Wayne Says:

Looks like Hatch got KKKarl’s talking points memo. Link the Democrats to the terrorist, like cheney and repug lite Lieberman.

I am soo ready for the Nov elections.

  19. Skeptic Says:

I think this is meaningless garble. The terrorist are probably going to act reguardless of the political party controlling the house. Also does anyone have proof that Orin Hatch is not senile?

  20. bluefish Says:

I’d love to know where Sen. Hatch is getting his inside information on what the terrorists future plans are. Is he talking to them directly, or is this info coming to him on the down-low?

  21. lw Says:

If Orrin Hatch has been in communication with terrorists, shouldn’t he should be telling the military and law enforcement where they are so they can be captured or killed?

Oh wait.., you mean he wasn’t exactly in communication with terrorists and was pulling this information out of his butt again? In that case, never mind.

  22. S.D. Says:

    The Politics of Fear continue.

  23. D.Tree Says:

the american people are getting sick of republicans playing politics with terrorism.

every time a republican makes a statement like this, they are insulting the voters.

how dare they claim that any american voter, republican or democrat, doesn’t care about terrorism!

    shame on you Orin Hatch.

  24. The DLC are Frauds Says:

    Variation on a theme.

  25. DRxJ Says:

    an addendum to #17

It appears the memo for 06 is out (just as in 04)! Fear, smear, and (hate) queers. Nice. for all you ditto heads, please stay home on election day! you don’t want to be a victim of a terrorist attack from some gay lovin’, Lamont supportin’, Islamofasicst Feminazi, do ya??

  26. Jonathon Says:

Is that all that the GOP can come up with? They are running scared now and are playing the fear card. I sincerely hope that there is some reporter, somewhere with the balls to ask the obvious question when comments like this are made: “Senator, upon what exactly do you base that statement?”

Friends, we Democrats need to remind everyone about the successful counterterrorism strategy we implemented during the Clinton Administration. The perpetrators of the first WTC bombing in 1993 were found, captured, tried in court and sentenced to prison. In fact, they are still sitting in prison today. That seems a very effective strategy to me! It certainly is better than what Bush & Co. has done. Also remember that Clinton took care of business instead of using the WTC attack as a means to scare the hell out of everyone. Bush, on the other hand, siezed upon the 9/11 attacks as a way to control us through our fear of terrorism.

  27. ORRwellIN Says:

    Same old gop b.s.
50s - Democrats are soft on communism.
60’s Democrats are for the vietcong.
70s Democrats are selling out the white majority.
80s Democrats wont fund star wars and will leave us unprotected.
90s Democrats are immoral and will leave our children unprotected.
00s Democrats are soft on terrorism.

These guys have ALWAYS played to our fears, not our hopes.

  28. onthefence Says:

Orrin Hatch is too busy getting Dallas Austin out of trouble in Dubai for cocaine possession, so much for the moral values of his mormon constituents.

  29. Steve53 Says:

    Shameful fear-mongering.

Let’s not forget those who use these tactics.

  30. pgw Says:

so did those guys in england think that democrats were in charge?

and the american soldiers in iraq who are getting killed—are they getting killed by people who think that the democrats are in charge?

and somebody better tell the people who set of those explosives on the london tube and the madrid train station that they disobeyed orders.

  31. Joe Sixpack Says:

Poor Orrin Hatch. His great-grandfather, Jeremiah Hatch, founded what is now known as Vernal, located in eastern Utah. Comes from a big Mormon family. I’m guessing there is some of that polygyny blood in there, where his father is his cousin or his cousin is his brother or such, that is interferring with his thought processes.

  32. Gerald Gibson Says:

You cant really blame someone for thinking this… it is not like the democrats have been trumpeting how they plan on making a move to permenantly take down the terrorism threat….

  33. madashell Says:

“I tremble for my country when I realize GOD IS JUST!”

  34. Kermit the Freedom Frog Says:

So, Mr Hatch, an appropriate campaign slogan for Al Gore 2000 would have been, “Vote for Bush and terrorists will attack us.” Is that right?

  35. madashell Says:

    32. ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. That is a GOOD PLACE TO START!

  36. madashell Says:

I’m telling you, these right wing nut cases are taking playing points by the NAZI HANDBOOK!

  37. Gerald Gibson Says:

    32. ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. That is a GOOD PLACE TO START!

    Comment by madashell

Oh I agree.. but that is thinking out way too far for most people… how are they going to stop the people that are currently going to keep attacking? IF they can make people believe they actually have a clue about this and what they will do about it better than the republicans… well anybody even considering giving the democrats a shot would slide right over to that side of the fence…

  38. Inkadinkadont Says:

Wow the GOP is working overtime to spread the democrats-are-working-with-terrorists-so-be-afraid-to-vote-for-them meme.

It’s hard work being a Republican fearmonger.

  39. septimosegunda Says:

just like I always suspected: the GOP is closely connected to the terrorists…

  40. Zimzone Says:

    According to genealogical records,
ORRIN HATCH IS HIS OWN GRANDFATHER!

  41. madashell Says:

also, Gerald, most everything the dems have tried to pass to keep terrorists out of our country has been shot down by the repukes. A good example is shipping containers being checked BEFORE they reach our port cities. Seattle had a good example of what could happen yesterday!

  42. madashell Says:

not only that, but it is bush and his ilk that have CUT FUNDS for local LAW ENFORCEMENT.

  43. blaze Says:

It’s amazing how well Republicans understand the thinking, planning and mindset of terrorists. You have to conclude that they’re both on the same page.

  44. Godfry Daniel Says:

How does Orrin Hatch know this unless he is a terrorist?

  45. Tigris Lily Says:

“The smear and fear campaign”. I like that! It should be the Democratic mantra for 2006 with a follow-up of all the security measures the Republicans have failed to implement to secure our safety.

The Republicans have had five years and they’ve done nothing but start a war, cut taxes for the rich, and raise our national debt to $8 trillions dollars. You’d think that at least some of that $8 trillion could have been spent on increasing the security at air ports–you know–like inspecting more cargo, installing modern equipment like they installed at the White house to detect liquid explosives, as well as securing our borders and our ports. But, no. All the Republicans can do is start unwarranted wars, spy on innocent Americans without warrants, and raid the pork barrel for $600 million bridges to nowhere and more highways.

  46. Shiveree Says:

Here is what I say to him:

The WTC was attacked in 1993. The next time we were attacked was 9.11.01. On Bush’s watch. After 8 years of being safe from terrorists attacks at home. On Clinton’s watch.

  47. Mark Says:

I was listeningto Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks this afternoon over lunch and when Idiot Wind came on it struck me as being very descriptive of our times. I know it is abreak up song, but some of the lines are very appropriate when applied to todays world. I think easily imagined these few lines (the song is much longer for those who don’t know) being about republicans…

Someone’s got it in for me, they’re planting stories in the press
Whoever it is I wish they’d cut it out but when they will I can only guess.

Their minds are filled with big ideas, images and distorted facts.

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your mouth,
Blowing down the backroads headin’ south.
Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,
    You’re an idiot, babe.
It’s a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

I ran into the fortune-teller, who said beware of lightning that might strike
I haven’t known peace and quiet for so long I can’t remember what it’s like.

You hurt the ones that I love best and cover up the truth with lies.
One day you’ll be in the ditch, flies buzzin’ around your eyes,
    Blood on your saddle.

Idiot wind, blowing through the flowers on your tomb,
Blowing through the curtains in your room.
Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,
    You’re an idiot, babe.
It’s a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

Now everything’s a little upside down, as a matter of fact the wheels have stopped,
What’s good is bad, what’s bad is good, you’ll find out when you reach the top
    You’re on the bottom.

I noticed at the ceremony, your corrupt ways had finally made you blind

Idiot wind, blowing like a circle around my skull,
From the grand coulee dam to the capitol.
Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,
    You’re an idiot, babe.
It’s a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

I can’t feel you anymore, I can’t even touch the books you’ve read

Idiot wind, blowing through the buttons of our coats,
Blowing through the letters that we wrote.
Idiot wind, blowing through the dust upon our shelves,
    We’re idiots, babe.
It’s a wonder we can even feed ourselves.

  48. Southwest Bob Says:

Here’s what I say to him:

Your party set this country’s course for fighting the “War on Terror.” You and your party have killed thousands of innocent people not to mention being responsible for the largest debt in USA history and the deaths of thousands of American soldiers, yet threat of terrorist attacks remain a reality. You and your party have failed. Americans do not reward failure.

  49. Five of Diamonds Says:

If Democrats are terrorists, arrest us.

  50. DieNowForPeace Says:

    Screw these Chicken Little tactics.

That’s THE stupidest thing I’ve heard in at least 48 hours from an “indumbent” Republicant.

Just keep up the lame battle cry, which YOU own by YOUR actions, stupid old fart.

  51. Gay Bear Says:

Love it. These remarks are so patently stupid that they have the opposite effect. Hatch wants to scare people. Ooooh, booga booga, them there terrorists are gonna get y’all if you vote for a Democrat! Instead, he makes people look at him like the idiot fear monger that he is. Won’t work anymore fellas. America is waking up quickly and we’re on to you. Enjoy retirement Hatch. Idiot.

  52. GSD Says:

    Shorter Orrin Hatch.

Americans should allow Al Qaeda to determine who we vote for.

    -GSD

  53. Willy Says:

Good old boy, arrogant, self-righteous, bloodthirsty, “kill ‘em over there so you won’t have to kill them here” Orrin Hatch. With friends like Orrin, who needs enemies.

  54. Kansas Wind Says:

It is time for Hatch to retire back to his family.
They deserve him. We don’t want him at all
    in America.

  55. Jesus Christ God of WAR Says:

Wait! Hold on now. Are the Republicans trying to scare us? Because anyone with 1/2 a brain (and who might happen to live in one of the countries labeled “terrorist” by Emperor Bush) are simply laughing their fool heads off at… you guessed it!… THE REPLUBLICANS!!!

    Here’s why.

    [from: http://www.theregister.co.uk/ 2006/ 08/ 17/ flying_toilet_terror_labs/ ]

…Now we have news of the recent, supposedly real-world, terrorist plot to destroy commercial airplanes by smuggling onboard the benign precursors to a deadly explosive, and mixing up a batch of liquid death in the lavatories. So, The Register has got to ask, were these guys for real, or have they, and the counterterrorist officials supposedly protecting us, been watching too many action movies?

We’re told that the suspects were planning to use TATP, or triacetone triperoxide, a high explosive that supposedly can be made from common household chemicals unlikely to be caught by airport screeners. A little hair dye, drain cleaner, and paint thinner - all easily concealed in drinks bottles - and the forces of evil have effectively smuggled a deadly bomb onboard your plane.

Or at least that’s what we’re hearing, and loudly, through the mainstream media and its legions of so-called “terrorism experts.” But what do these experts know about chemistry? Less than they know about lobbying for Homeland Security pork, which is what most of them do for a living…

…the fabled binary liquid explosive - that is, the sudden mixing of hydrogen peroxide and acetone with sulfuric acid to create a plane-killing explosion, is out of the question. Meanwhile, making TATP ahead of time carries a risk that the mission will fail due to premature detonation, although it is the only plausible approach.

Certainly, if we can imagine a group of jihadists smuggling the necessary chemicals and equipment on board, and cooking up TATP in the lavatory, then we’ve passed from the realm of action blockbusters to that of situation comedy…

So, unless ReichWingNuts can come up with something better, their “warnings” and predictions of al Qaeda “happiness” at a Dem win in November is nothing but Oooga Booga.

  56. Coffins draped with flags Says:

Either Orrin Hatch has been consulting “Miss Cleo” or he has contact with these terrorists. That’s the only explanation for claiming he knows what the terrorists are thinking and planning.

  57. e_five Says:

And yet… a Republican win in November 2000– giving the GOP control of the White House, both houses of congress, the majority of the seats on the Supreme Court, the majority of the state legislatures, and the majority of the state governors mansions– didn’t prevent 9/11 from happening 10 months later.

Nor did it prevent the anthrax attack in October 2001.

Nor did it prevent nearly 3000 US troops from dying in Iraq.

Nor did it prevent the US from being alienated from its allies, turning the largest budget surplus in world history into the largest budget deficit in world history, and losing a major American city to a hurricane.

They’re projecting their own failures on the opposition, becuase they have nothing but a record of failure to offer.

  58. Coffins draped with flags Says:

They never did catch that Anthrax person, did they. Must have been part of the Cheney/Rumsfeld plan.

  59. Bluedog49 Says:

They just have no sense of decency or fair play. It’s as unamerican as someone can get. GOP: Gangsters On Parade.

  60. Zippy the Other Pinhead Says:

Sounds to me like Oral Hootch has been talking with terruh-rists again. How else could he know that they’re “waiting for the Democrats to take control” and then they’ll jump out of their boogeyman closets? Unless Oral has been listening to the bin Ladens in his head again.

So Oral Hootch communicates directly with Middle Eastern terrorists. Why does Oral Hootch hate America so much? Is it because of our freedom???

  61. Darin Says:

More Smear and Fear from a Rethuglican…go figure. Orrin Hatch is almost as stupid as Bush.

  62. zoot Says:

jeebus, hasn’t that demented colon bag been put out to pasture yet?
    .

  63. Ho Chi Minh Says:

This is the same Orin Hatch that only weeks ago that proclaimed that the most dire issue facing our country was to protect us from all those flag burners. Actually, I used one to wipe my ass once……it gave me a rash.

  64. TSop Says:

Terrorublican. This guy is an alien 4 sure. He should be more worried about the freaky child abusing bigamists in his state.

  65. Redleg Says:

What happened to my first post? Did it get deleted? All I said was Orin Hatch is a big _____ and sorry _____ and a ____ _____.

  66. progressaurus rex Says:

don’t forget, this is the senator that took the lead in watering down anti-terror legislation in 1996 when clinton backed it. so when the “democrats had control” he was doing everything he could to prevent what he so ardently supports now.

    note hatch’s words back then:

Hatch called Clinton’s proposed study of taggants — chemical markers in explosives that could help track terrorists — “a phony issue.”

“If they want to, they can study the thing” already, Hatch asserted. He also said he had some problems with the president’s proposals to expand wiretapping.

    vs. his words in 2001:

“It is essential that we give our law enforcement authorities every possible tool to search out and bring to justice those individuals who have brought such indiscriminate death into our backyard”

    and also this:

“They’re moaning and groaning in Congress because he didn’t abide by what’s called the FISA Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. That act is very important, but it was enacted in 1978 and it is not applicable to today’s world,” Hatch said. “The president is using every methodology that we know … to try to track down those al-Qaida people or people affiliated with al-Qaida.”

so he was against strong terror legislation before he was for it. thanks for looking after us when it mattered, senator.

  67. progressaurus rex Says:

hey coffins, i find it interesting that they never caught that anthrax person too, considering that cheney’s staff started taking cipro (for anthrax) weeks before 9/11.

  68. Beware The Man » Democrats Are Stupid At Politics Says:

[…] The GOP, once again, is ahead of the game here.  THEY know we’re going to get hit again, and they’re planning for it.  “A vote for a Democrat is a vote for terrorists.” […]

  69. rapple Says:

Orin should stay out of the noon day sun.

  70. Zooey Says:

Maybe Orrin could make a wish on his magical underpants and save all of us from the bad, bad terrorists.

  71. Sharon Cox Says:

Every week for over 5 years I have been listening to the reich winged crap and most of those weeks I have heard little or nothing from the dem’s. To the point as I have said before, the silence has been deffening..

Where are the responses from our party to address the american publics concerns. Only occasionaly do they speak up on an issue and often dunn many of us for money and wanting us to respond on the questionaire of what we think. Never do they respond like in the Clinton years. Well they haven’t responded to me after 45 faithful years of backing them..Maybe many of you are lucky and do get reaponses.

As many of you know I dumped all representative email list’s when I switched my internet service several months ago…Now I subscribe to truthout, oped, tom payne. tp and several informative sites instead….No more dunning and useless inquiring forms.

Now I know many of you have every right to critisize me for doing a slam on my bunch on the left, so go ahead, knock yourselves out and I will piss and moan but I will listen and respond.

Here’s the big deal…Week after week we get on tp and our blog sites and rally for our party and bitch slap the reich winged bunch…..We bring up all the valed issues why bush should be jailed along with his merry bunch of evil incarnates….We point out with accurecy the dates and times and all the lives lost and all the misery this bunch has caused america and the world. .WE ARE THE EMPLOYERS …..WHY IN HELL AREN’T OUR CIVIL SERVENT’S DOING THIS JOB.? WE ALL ARE BEING PLAYED THE FOOL’S…WE ARE BEING SCAMED, RAPED AND USED UP BY OUR OWN PARTY AS WELL AS THE REP’S. You want some big changes, start hitting our own to get their shit streight, show up and start screaming with outrage so the working class can listen on the 5 oclock new’s…….I haven’t heard hardley a whisper from our entire bunch in months….Why don’t they slam back and point out all the things we discuss daily..? Start writing them if you agree, delete if you don’t…………..This preaching to the choir and thinking our representatives are as smart as us and we are gonna win in a few short weeks just isnt getting it……….Remember the bulk of the working voters don’t post here and at the end of the day they are getting that 5 little minutes of crap the reich are spitting out.. Ton’s of sound bites from old, fat, no neck Orin Hatches or more of the bush bull shit…If our own don’t hurry up and speak out there is no point in being right here or any where else…….Blessings…Peace

  72. rickd Says:

#7. Do you truly believe that the terrorists didn’t attack the US until after President Bush took office. What do you call the bombing of the World Trade Center in February 1993 (when a Democrat was in the White House). What do you call the bombing of the USS Cole in October 2000 (when that same Democrat was in the White House), and of course I could go on. Or do you believe those were all “crimes”, not terrorism.

As for the attacks on the US on Sep. 11, 2001, it is known that operation took YEARS to plan and train for, so I doubt highly that Al Qaeda decided to wait until the Republicans took office before implementing that plan. That attack would have occurred regardless of who was in office. Some might argue that it was planned, thinking that a Democrat was going to be in office and if the attack occurred on a Democrat’s watch, that the terrorists would be subjected to the same retaliation as by the previous administration - none.

  73. WORFEUS Says:

Yea and your plan has garunteed 100s of thousands of terrorists fight for the next 5 decades.

You’re idiots. Walking talking idiots running around like a bunch of midget clowns who just piled out of a volkswagen at Ringling Bros.

You’ve made more of mess of this country in the last 6 years than any terrorist ever could.

  74. WORFEUS Says:

The difference between the democrats response to a terrorist attack on US soil was to arrest the guys who did it.

    And we GOT our guy.

You guys on the other hand just started killing Arabs.

And you still haven’t killed the one who committed the act numbnuts.

For all your talk, you’re batting zero.

  75. WORFEUS Says:

Bin Laden attacks us so we bomb Iraq.

What are you rambos going to do if China attacks us?

    Nuke North Korea?

  76. WORFEUS Says:

Maybe if 20 guys from Syria hijack some planes again we can invade Belgium?

I”ve got a hankering for some waffles.

  77. rickd Says:

    76. Yup, you caught the blind cleric - that must have been tough! You will recall that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind to the Sep. 11 attacks. He is now, lounging in one of the US’s finer “secret” establishments!

  78. MisterOwl Says:

What else could the Republicans have done for Osama bin Laden?

Somehow, they couldn’t even protect The Pentagon (among other places) during the 9/11 attacks. They let him go free at Tora Bora, then sacrificed hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of American soldiers to take out a toothless secular dictator and build an Islamic republic in Iraq, going a long way towards bankrupting the United States in the process.

To top it all off, a couple of days before they send their monkey to prance around on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, they gave in to OBL’s demand that American soldiers be removed from “The Land of the Two Holy Places”:

“In August 2003, following the U.S.-led war in Iraq in March and April 2003, the United States withdrew its troops stationed in Saudi Arabia.”
    http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/3584.htm

Osama’s mission was accomplished, and the neoconservatives get to rob us and test out their pet theories on us in return.

People like Orrin should stop terrorizing the public and start doing
    their jobs.

  79. Grand Moff Texan Says:

If the senator is correct, then it’s a good reason to duct-tape him to the outside of the new World Trade Center … and wait.
    .

  80. Macaca Says:

Oren needs to tell us about his direct links to terrorists. It might help the war on terror if he shared his contacts with the CIA.

  81. PLC (PatrioticLiberalChristian) Says:

    76. Yup, you caught the blind cleric - that must have been tough!

And Bush can’t find a 6′ 7″ skinny, left handed man who is allegedly on a kidney dialysis machine.

  82. e_five Says:

    rickd–

You can’t have it both ways. The US was attacked on Sept. 11, 2001 with Republicans in charge of the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court, the majority of state legislatures, and the majority of governors offices.

Several weeks later, Congress and the media were attacked with anthrax.

Osama bin Laden is still at large five years later. No one has been caught in the anthrax attacks. Are they even trying?

And yet you claim that electing Democrats would embolden the terrorists? How can you get more bold than September 11 and a followup attack with weaponized anthrax? Meanwhile, the Republicans have also allowed North Korea to develop nuclear weapons, stuck our military in a quagmire in Iraq, and alienated many of our closest allies.

  83. Pete Ashdown Says:

In the past year, Orrin Hatch has called war protesters “nutcakes”, confused Iraq with Vietnam, defended oil companies on the floor of the Senate, stated that “anyone with a brain” could see the connection between Saddam and Al Qaida, released a music industry compadre from jail in Dubai for bringing in a gram of cocaine, and raised millions of dollars to defeat me.

If you want to see the tables turn, I need your help.

    Pete Ashdown for U.S. Senate

  85. Fisher Says:

Why don’t the Dems simply turn the tables on the Repugs? Whenever the administration ramps up the terror alerts, the Dems should simply point out that the terrorists obviously see the Repugs as weak, the Dems are strong and want to attack us when the Repugs are still in power?

  86. nobody Says:

they were republicans when the terrorists struck… democrats had to deal with Tim McVeigh, who seemed pretty right-wing.

Democrats can rule a peaceful America. These new threats came along with republicans.

In suggesting or asserting that the U.K. arrests are helping or will help Bush, the media are not reporting; they are repeating. That Bush is strong on terror. That Bush played an important role in thwarting the attacks. That Bush’s policies have made us safer. That, to paraphrase Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the Republicans make our country safer. […]
