According to a poll conducted a week after the arrest of 24 Brits of Pakistani origin suspected of being involved in an alleged plot to blow up American airliners in-flight, by a margin of more than five to one the Brits want Prime Minister Tony Blair to “split” with President George Bush over his conduct of the War on Terror.
Even though Bush made it clear in his declaration of a War on Terror – at which Blair was present – that “Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

August 22nd, 2006 at 3:38 pmof course, I love how everyone in the news won’t say that maybe, just maybe, they insurgency is an active resistance against a foreign occupying force. I mean if the EU said that BUSH was a rogue dictator and invaded, we would all resist their occupation if they were there for 3+ years and their PM’s were saying that they would not leave for several more years (not to mention the stealing of natural resources, crappy reconstruction, etc). But the public cannot think for themselves and do not see the iraqi resistance as a natural consequence of the USA invading their country. They will not stop resisting the foreign occupiers who are stealing their oil, which belongs to the iraqis, until we leave period, end of story. we need to leave ASAP
