Certainly Kent.

First, it takes courage to live free. It takes courage to be a real American.

What the conservatives call courage is by definition cowardice. They think if they voluntarily hand over their shampoo in the airport, that they are courageous.

They think if they believe the President, even when all of the facts point to his lying, even when every strand of logic and reason point to his lying, that if they just “believe” that somehow they are courageous.

They think that volunteering our rights to privacy, changing laws to spy on anyone and everyone, and attacking the helpless and defenseless people of tiny nations is courage.

Now they think that legalizing racisim is somehow courageous.

Its not.

Real courage means being willing to risk your life if need be to live in a free and open society

Real courage means to make sure that NO American is punished for the color of his skin, and that we do not regress into a paranoid, prejudiced federally controlled society of little gooestepping, flag waving mini-van moms. Real courage is being willing to live in a free and open society, where yes, terrorists may kill “some of us”.

Real courage means not letting them kill our democracy.

Real courage, means being willing to die for your country, instead of just being willing to kill for your country.

Hows that?

******Dear KentJ – Haven’t been a lib in years, but I know and work with TONS of them. Here are a couple of reasons they HATE the idea of terror profiling:

a.) as ALL good liberals and progressive/socialists “KNOW”, they are far superior in intellect and deductive reasoning than ANYBODY else, ever. (When they take a position, there is NO room for argument – THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT, OR LEFT…)

b.) they have a weird need to be LOVED, VALUED and ADMIRED by EVERY downtrodden, disparate group and all socialist intelligensia. “Collective guilt” is a hallmark of self-loathing progressives….If they can see past potential hijackers, ignore obvious demographic trends and view every one of the nineteen 9/11 murderers as misguided individuals, are feel just a tad superior. And the true oxymoron is that they loathe individual achievement, individual responsibility, and engage in group think ad nauseum – all the while telling you how they value individuals. Go figure. They are pitiful.

I suggest everyone who wants to understand our current predictiment, that they go out and rent a copy of “Beneath the Planet of the Apes”.

It is an excellent portrayal of our current crisis of division, and watching it, you’ll see its clear that the apes problems are our problems. From the Gorrilla brutality to the silencing of the Chimapanzees, you’ll see an almost prophetic prediction of our current crisis of humanity right here in the US.

Hint: General Ursus is Bill O’reilly…
