Rush Limbaugh,

By Amanda Terkel on Aug 25th, 2006 at 11:41 am

Rush Limbaugh,

on which team will win the new “Survivor” contest: “Well, no, I’m — looking at the Olympics, you’d have to say the white tribe would be the best swimmers. … Well, now, wait, wait a second, though. If the Hispanic tribe has a Cuban in it, those people swim 90 miles, you know, sometimes for freedom. So you know, you just never know. That’s why you’ve got to watch the show.”

Seems like there are much better things to worry about…

  2. WORFEUS says:

I still want to know what this racist clown was doing returning from the Dominican Republic with a pocket full of Viagra,

Now why would Rush need to head to backwards nation of the DR to have sex?

    Man that ones bothering me.

  3. UeberBill says:

Now if there were a oxycontin PIE eating contest…

  4. PLC (PatrioticLiberalChristian) says:

I can’t get too worked up over this Survivor stunt. They’ve had male vs female tribes. They need a gimick that draws attention and this is sure doing that. The whole thing seems basically harmless to me and is likely to crush some stereotypes as the “games” progress (unless they are rigged which would be another story). I’m much more concerned with the types of comments that political pundits and officials make, which can translate into public policy.

  5. Clyde the Ripper says:

    WORFEUS,

He was coming back with a pocket full so I would say he was unsuccessful at that too unless he went down with two pockets full and that would be wishful thinking on any-body’s part. Leave it to Lush, he can’t do anything Right right.

  6. RealScientist says:

I think Rush already cemented his racist credentials during his brief stint at ESPN (what kind of idiot could have actually hired this guy into that role?).

  7. GSD says:

Hey, El Limp-baugh, if they were to have a “pedophile survivor” or a “serial killer survivor” wouldn’t the white males in their 40’s and 50’s be a shoo in to win that competition?

Rush, you fit right in with the serial killer, pedophile profile.

    -GSD

  8. NewNameAcquired says:

The Survivor show sucks in general. It’s another doctored up reality show. Did anyone see the Survivor spoof in “Run Ronnie Run”? Now THAT is a show I’d watch! “And now…. WE FEAST!!!”

  9. God is a Nihilist says:

Who the hell pays any attention to him!!!? Oh wait that’s right, racists, neo-nazis, and crazy right winged republicans.

  10. jason baddo says:

do any of you think Limbaugh looks suspiciously like Archie Bunker ?

  11. For Truth says:

Yeah what the hell is this guy doing in the Dominican Republic with his Viagra? Was he alone on the return trip? Was he vacationing with his lovely wife? What gives?

  12. WORFEUS says:

He was coming back with a pocket full so I would say he was unsuccessful

    Comment by Clyde the Ripper — August 25, 2006 @ 11:54 am

Ahh Clyde, but when the investigators examined the bottle, it was opened, and there was 1 tablet missing.

  13. Bingo ! says:

What’s pissin’ me off is the fact that ANYONE is talking about this garbage T.V.”reality” show.
On second thought, maybe this episode will produce another classic like that naked fat guy spearing fish,or a thick lipped, right wing “hottie”,who winds up on THE VIEW.

  14. WORFEUS says:

The DR is known for its child prostitution rings, and visitors from all over the world travel there to have sex with children. Just like Cambodia.

  15. WORFEUS says:

Really good post rush’s colon. (that name makes me feel sorry for you somehow).

    Really good.

People need to be looking at this. The DOJ needs to be looking at this.

You KNOW what he was doing there. I KNOW what he was doing there.

If his followers find out what he was doing there, his extended 15 minutes will be up.

  16. WORFEUS says:

  17. Joe Sixpack says:

I dunno, without any trolls here to stick up for the Viagra King, I feel compelled to take up his battle. Maybe Limptard has a point. I mean, suppose you was the captain of the “white tribe” and you was picking the swim team, and Rash Limptard was the only white guy left to choose from, but the rules would allow you to “crossover” and pick a Cuban or a black if you were desperate?

Outside of winning, who would be the most fun to have on your team? Rash, or the “crossover” team member?

  18. Douglas G. says:

OMG! One would believe after reading the above posts, that you all are a groupf whining children!

Rush went on vacation. Did he travel with anyone? are are you just making wild a$$ed accusations because you don’t like him?

Another thing. Peoplea re quick to bandy about terms like Nazi. You do know that the Nazis wanted guns out of the hands of it’s citizens, and that they were for BIG government. Sounds a LOT like most liberals!

Jeesh. Actually, WORFEUS, if you KNEW what he was doing, then what were YOU doing down in the Dominican Republic watching him??? Making sure he wasnt breaking any laws? Or are you just shooting off your mouth because you believe that everything thinks it’s the truth when sound escapes from your body?

I don’t know what he was doing, and neither do you all.

  19. Clyde the Ripper says:

    WORFEUS,

Are you saying Lush isn’t as good as he once was but he is good as he was, once?

  20. Douglas G. says:

BTW, I knw what he wasn’t doing. . . Running his trap on the radio!

  21. DRxJ says:

….and tah dah! There you have it folks. Another off tangent, irrelivant post! Ditto heads always crack me up

  22. D.Tree says:

It still amazes me that people come out to defend ignorant fools like Rush Limbaugh… I guess their scared that what everyone is saying is true.

  23. DRxJ says:

    of course, I meant “irrelevant”

  24. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    11 For truth,

If I’m not mistaken (apologies if I am), I believe that Mr. Limbaugh has divorced his third wife, whom he met on the internet. He is now “available” and, at last report, was dating Chloe from 24.

Ladies, try not to hurt yourselves trying to get to him.

  25. Joe Sixpack says:

are are you just making wild a$$ed accusations because you don’t like him?
    Comment by Douglas G.

You got it, pal. I won’t speak for everyone here, but as for me, no, I don’t like his draft-dodging, limped-dicked, chickenhawk, rightwing ass.

  26. WaltTheMan says:

    #27 – Wayne A. Schneider,
Thrice divorced and twice busted for drugs does not exactly make him a sanctimonious family man.

  27. madashell says:

    21. Yeah, it’s a real stretch – Viagra + Dominican Republic….

  28. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    WaltTheMan,

I wasn’t trying to defend him and probably never would. I was just helping (I hope) clarify “El Rushbo”’s marital status (”El Single-o”). Plus he has no kids, so he’s not a family man anyway. I think he’s everything’s that wrong with conservative talk radio. The fact that he has a lot of listeners does not mean anything he says has validity. It just means he has a lot of ignorant, ill-informed listeners.

  29. GSD says:

Look at what losers the Republicans have become. They are falling over themselves to support a 3 time loser like Whiny Joe Lieberman. They are supporting 2 time drug junkie, 3 time divorcee and obese man with a limp penis, Limbaugh. They love 44 year old family values hypocrite, self avowed slut and childless spinster, Ann C-hole-ter and they have bonfide luntatics like Katherine Harris and homicidal ranter Reverend Pat Robertson on their side.

    Loser Party.

    -GSD

  30. GSD says:

The Roman Coliseums were very popular with people…The Republicans think that because something is popular makes it right.

    What poor logic.

    -GSD

  31. WORFEUS says:

Jeesh. Actually, WORFEUS, if you KNEW what he was doing, then what were YOU doing down in the Dominican Republic watching him???

    Comment by Douglas G. — August 25, 2006 @ 12:34 pm

    Lol. Pathetic.

No bonehead. I just have a working brain. And when a overweight middle aged pig like Limpbaugh goes down to the DR (WITH 4 OTHER GUYS), a place KNOWN for its CHILD PROSTITUTION rings, that CATER TO AMERICAN TOURISTS, carrying a bottle of Viagra, I don’t need it spelled out for me.

Sir William of Ockham made it easy for us. All things being equal the simplest answer will almost always be the correct one.

When you get your head out of your ass, you might figure it out too nimrod.

  32. Wayne A. Schneider says:

#32 Aw, don’t hold back, GSD. Tell us what you really think of them. :)

BTW, I’m 100% in agreement with you. They do seem to have a prpblem distinguishing “right” (as in “morally correct”) from “popular” (as in “everybody’s doing it”). They also have a tendency to equate financial success with virtue. Limbaugh has made quite a bit of money for himself, but that doesn’t mean he’s doing something “good.”

For a bunch of social conservatives who are largely reigious, they sure seem to love money and equating it in their minds with virtue. They forget the Biblical lesson that “the love of money is the root of all evil.” But, being the right-wing authopritarian types that they are, they have no problem firmly believing two opposing views at the same time.

  33. Joe Sixpack says:

Comment by Wayne A. Schneider in #31 was right on. Wayne, your point that his having a lot of listeners does not mean he has validity, but just that he has a lot of ill-informed listeners is well taken. His radio show is for the brain-dead, and nothing short of brainwashing: a one-sided flow of communication without any counter dialog or questioning input.

I couldn’t agree with you more.

  34. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    Thanks, Joe Sixpack,

I believe that the fact that Limbaugh has no guests on his show that might offer a counter argument to his claptrap is one reason why his listeners believe everything he tells them. There’s no one on his program to contradict him. Occasionally, during AAR commercial breaks, I’ll flip over to his show and I’ll hear someone calling in who got past the screener to debate him. And he can’t handle it. He stammers, obviously surprised that it’s not one of his ditto heads calling to tell him how wonderful he is, and he can’t argue back. Because when he’s confronted with facts, everything he’s been saying falls apart. Then he tries to go to a commercial break really fast.

  35. Marie says:

Rush Lintball – appealing to the lowest common denominator.
His listeners enjoy hearing their own ignorance, racism, and intolerance coming back to them on the radio via the drug-addicted big mouth.

  36. estebahn says:

the republicans are getting giggly with racism letting their true colors show before they get shoved back into the closet for a few years until the children of the revolution get fooled again.

  37. johnny d says:

Who Cares??????? Ignore Rush, Coulter, and the lot and stay focused on matters of substance, please. These fools are a distraction. Let Media Matters waste their time on those jokers.

  38. For Truth says:

Oh yeah and using opiates(oxycontin), diminishes the sex drive. Viagra would counter act that. Why waste a perfectly good vacation to go f*ck kids in another country when you can’t get it up.

  39. WORFEUS says:

    Who Cares???????

    Comment by johnny d — August 25, 2006 @ 4:25 pm

    AMERICANS CARE.

    I’m one.

  40. WORFEUS says:

Ignore Rush, Coulter, and the lot and stay focused on matters of substance,

    Comment by johnny d — August 25, 2006 @ 4:25 pm

Ignoring them is exactly what they want you to do.

They don’t make their money off of us. They make it off the idiots that Joe, Wayne and GSD were talking about.

When the left is willing to stand up to them, and meet their strong words with stronger, truer words, hearts and minds will change.

Ignoring them hasn’t worked out to well over the last 6 years, and I doubt it will work out too well over the next 6 years.

I will NEVER apologize for standing up to scum like Limpbaugh.

  41. Steve53 says:

Rush Limbaugh is a very, very bad man.Very bad. -shakes finger-

Ignore Rush, Coulter, and the lot and stay focused on matters of substance, please.
    Comment by johnny d — August 25, 2006 @ 4:25 pm

I used to think that if I ignored this hatemongers, they would go away. Years later, they are still around and as hateful as ever.

As long as them are out there spewing their stupidity, nothing will be done about global warming, US troops will remain in Iraq, people will keep dying, and the deficit will grow larger. As long as their rhetoric is allowed to go unchallenged, hate, racism, and bigotry will thrive.

These fools are a distraction. Let Media Matters waste their time on those jokers.

I disagree. They are not a distraction, they are part of the problem as opinion-makers, believe ir or not, and they reach a very wide audience.

They need to be challenged, proven wrong, or at least shown to be misleading.

  43. Douglas G. says:

WORFEUS said, (everyone breath in quickly and get quiet), “No bonehead.

Now This is what I notice…

    1. Worfeus has to resort to name calling. Why? I don’t remember calling him a name.. I do remember asking if he had made a wild a$$ed guess, but in no way did I stoop to name calling.

    2. Not only does Mr. Worfeus stoop to name calling , but then he accuses me of having a cranial/rectal insertion.

    3. If that;’s not enough, he has to resort to name calling again.

    4. All the while alluding to Rush Limbaugh looking for children to have sex with, and having no proof at all.

Typical. The less one knows, the louder one must shout to try to be heard.

  44. WORFEUS says:

    1. Worfeus has to resort to name calling.

I don’t have to Douggy, it’s just more fun that way.

    :P

  45. WORFEUS says:

but then he accuses me of having a cranial/rectal insertion.

    Comment by Douglas G. — August 25, 2006 @ 6:33 pm

Uhh, I believe the correct Latin medical term is headeus-up-asseus.

All the while alluding to Rush Limbaugh looking for children to have sex with, and having no proof at all.

    Comment by Douglas G. — August 25, 2006 @ 6:33 pm

Well, since Herr Limpballs makes his living off of alluding to things he has no proof of at all it seems fitting.

  47. Douglas G. says:

  48. WORFEUS says:

Typical. The less one knows, the louder one must shout to try to be heard.

    Comment by Douglas G. — August 25, 2006 @ 6:33 pm

    Whose shouting?

I believe I used lower case for most words.

  49. WORFEUS says:

See my level headed friend, (or is it level headed fiend?) I don’t need “proof” to understand or know what it is I am seeing.

Science uses evidence and data and theorum to determine facts, and they get it right much more often than they get it wrong.

    Example.

I know the Universe is expanding.

I haven’t personally seen this, but I know it is. How? Easy.

I know that light is moving away from me thanks to a theory known as “Red Shift”. As light moves away it gives off a red tint through optics. We can see the light from the Big Bang and see that it is moving outward, and thats one way we know the Universe is expanding.

In a court of law, I don’t need absolute proof to convict someone. Circumstanial “evidence” can do that in many cases. Murder cases have been judged on circumstantial evidence.

In a civil court I don’t even need that. I just need a “pre-ponderence of the evidence” to determine facts.

    Could I be wrong?

    Sure.

Maybe him and the other 4 guys from Fox went down their to boink each other.

But knowning what I know about the sex trade in the DR and knowning the character of this overheated bag of crapola, it points to me of sex trade activity.

And considering this peice of human bile has slandered me, and everyone on the left with absolute disregard for facts, proof or evidence, if I’m wrong, I’ll feel little remorse for the windbag who makes his filthy living off the slander of others.

    :P

  50. WORFEUS says:

The Dominican Republic (DR) has one of the highest numbers in the world of people involved in the sex trade per capita.

    From Christian Aid

Indeed, the Dominican Republic is one of the biggest sex tourism destinations in the world, thanks in part to Internet sites that extol the country as a “single man’s paradise.”

    From Wired.com

As is the case in so many of the countries which host both multinational corporations in search of cheap labour and sex tourists in search of cheap prostitutes, it is the annexation and depletion of subsistence land and which underpins the supply of women and girls whose economic desperation makes them so very exploitable.

From Child Prostitution and Sex Tourism in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

[A research paper prepared for ECPAT by Dr Julia O’Connell Davidson and Jacqueline Sanchez Taylor of the Department of Sociology, University of Leicester, UK, December 1995 UNICEF study]

Tourism and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children

Prostitution is amongst the activities that take place in this informal sector, and children as well as adults are involved in the sex trade.

Tourism and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children – In Jamaica and the Dominican Republic
    By J O’Connell Davidson, J Sanchez Taylor

[This report is concerned with the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. It presents the findings of research that took place between 1998 and 2000, that draws attention to the range of actors who violate the rights of children in sex trade, and the diversity of their motivations for so doing. Year of publication: 2001 Code no: 2001-2698 30 pages Save the Children Sweden ]

  51. WORFEUS says:

Like I said slim. Based on what I know about the DR, and based on the fact old Mr Limpballs was caught carrying an illegally registered bottle of viagra with only ONE tablet missing, (indicates sex use and not abuse), and based on the fact he went down their with 4 other guys (you don’t go to boink your girlfriend and take 4 other guys) and based on the general character of this man as I see him, well, the answers pretty obvious.

    Course I could be wrong.

    But I doubt it.

  52. Ho Chi Minh says:

    Rush Limpdick: Chickenhawk ala king.

  53. Trinary Suka says:

I still want to know what this racist clown was doing returning from the Dominican Republic with a pocket full of Viagra,

Now why would Rush need to head to backwards nation of the DR to have sex?
    ==

He was perhaps teaching his cuban lover boy how to swim the 90 miles to florida and then run into Rush’s waiting arms…

  54. thisisgay says:

    Black people! Black people…sheesh.

  55. WORFEUS says:

Funny Suka, but I still think he was going down there to do the same thing most middle-aged overweight businessmen go down there for.

    The illegal sex business.

  56. JPark says:

One pill used, he is more pathetic than I ever believed.

  57. Scott says:

You are all so funny and hate filled on both sides of this. Everyone’s opinion is so based in anger and hate and the funny part is that no one even realizes how looney it all sounds. Limbaugh is an entertainer just like, oh, let’s say Dave Chappell. The recent episodes of The Chappell Show had a skit where racial stereotypes were laid out quite a bit worse than Limbaugh’s. Yet, I doubt anyone on this post said one word about it. Making race based commentary is apparently acceptable as long as you are not white.

Instead you are all attacking Limbaugh and each other over completely unrelated stuff. All political minds think alike…DESTROY THE ENEMY and in the process make everyone like me. Get a life and stopping living everyone elses.

  58. JJ says:

wow you guys are dense. If you would have listened to the whole rush piece, he was satirizing the entire concept of racial survivor. He made the standard racial stereotypical statements about every race invovled. It was actually quite hilarious. He said the only chance that the whites would have to win is if they were allowed to oppress the other races and set up government welfare programs. Listen to the whole thing, dolts

  59. Bob says:

Maybe the Viagra was for his BUTT BUDDY Sean Hannity
