Rummy has never had a day of doubt in his life. We just don’t get it. Repetition and spin just doesn’t sink in with us. “When are we going ever going to get his message” he thinks to himself. His motto of “Speak ye unto thyself and others will follow”, well the President gave him a green card to put punch behind those words. The reality of this dream is the Right Brothers NEVER wake up. Hang on fellow countrymen, “we are far from out of the woods” yet. Those who would hang security as treats to give up our liberties ceratinly have more in mind than our protection. Perhaps our complete control and supervision would be their desserts.

Look Rummy didn’t leave US soil when he was in the military. He was a teacher and never saw action. Bush/Cheney/Rummy have on experience in military action so you understand why it’s so easy to have men/women die without a second thought. To these guys our troops aren’t human just like a video game. McCain watched and supported Bush and even gave him a hug but now he wants Americans to remember he was action in war and a prisoner of war. Why didn’t he stop or at least speak up for our soldiers as Bush sent them to die. I guess these guys will say and so anything for a vote. Look Americans believed the GOP were the religious family values story in the name of God and turns out they are Satan worshipers who would have thought. Now McCain is using the same evil plan I think Americans know better now.

If, in fact, “They all are there doing what they’re doing because they want to do it.” why doesn’t he just have those who volunteer for the extended tour of duty stay?
The disconnect between Rumsfeld’s talking points and the reality that these military families face is…well…typical for this entire Administration and the 30% of the populace who blindly follow them.

Allowing some of the troops to make it all the way home, when he knew he was going to make them go back, deliberately devastating these families, who have already been through so much, thanks to him. Then he compounds the trauma by going to Alaska himself, to announce his decision. Then he has the incredible GALL to say that the troops ‘volunteered’, so don’t blame HIM for making them go back to Iraq, he is just the Secretary of Defense, after all. Then the biggest jerk of all time claims that the return date is not up to him. LIAR!!! He is a boil on the butt of humanity.
