Nothing is wrong with standing up against illegal immigration as well as encouraging educated Europeans to the USA. What is sad is that you all forget that those who came to the West stole or were given the land of the original inhabitants. Stealing a person’s flour and baking bread with does not make you the legitimate owner of the bread nor the flour. Wrong View. I think it is foolish to think that putting up borders will stop anyone from coming to this country. If someone really wants to come to this country they will find a way, either legally or illegally. Yes we should have all immagrants Americanized more before entering this country. The United States is based on the traditions of its founders and should be set to an English speaking standard. The United States should be proud of it's origins for there were many great and honorable people who influenced and shaped this country, but all of them could speak English. I believe we have to look at the why people want to come here. As in the case of most Mexican immagrants it seems to have a better life, mostly finacially. That is fine for that is one of the reasons why this country was founded. We should then look at finding a better way to Americanize these new immagrants and find ways to discourage coming here illegally. According to some news reports illegal immagrants come here because pay is better and even though United States based employers pay them below minumum wage and no bennifits. Some enployers seem to have the Army's Don't ask Don't Tell policy. What should be done is that these employers need to held accountable for these transgressions. Fine the companies that hire illegal immagrants for each illegal worker who had worked for that company. I understand too that tax wise the illegal immagrants don't have taxes taken from thier pay and don't pay taxes in general except buying products. Any illegal immagrant should be federally taxed. Because sending them back to Mexico will not solve the problem. They will find a way to come back here and we are back to the same situation. And yes maybe taxing illegal immagrant will make it less desireable to come here but hey isn't that the point. Doesn't the United States want everyone who comes here to pay for the new freedoms that can be found. We also need to find a way to help Mexico deal with it's poverty situation. One way we can do this is by helping our own people who are in a poverty situation get out of that situation. Or find a way to get rid of poverty all together. Don't forget that the United States still has it's own problems. Don't you think that it is kind of odd that after all the monumentous things that the United States has done we still have all these little problems. It's funny that a country with our technological advancement still has to rely on fossil fuels. After decades apon decades of inovations, that could have prevented the United States fighting overseas over oil, were brushed under the carpet because the ones with the money didn't want to share that money. It all comes down to money I guess. Funny will the worms really care how much money you HAD when you're a corpse? Right Topic. Wrong View.
