I wonder if you realize that you just admitted in that last sentence of yours that Democrats really better represent the personal interests of most people, though many have been terrorized into voting otherwise.

Good post, I believe their are “good” Dems, but there voices have been silenced, not by Republicans, but by self-serving activists like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, or demagogues like Barney Frank, or individuals who will just say anything to boost their poll numbers while depressing those of their competitors, like the Clintons, Raum Emanual, Schumer, Pelosi or Reid. That is EXACTLY why so many Dems are voting against their own personal interests, and electing Reps into power, because no national Dems speak for or with most of these “good” Dems.

And Bob Casey was not asked to speak in ‘92 because he didn’t support the nomineefor President. It’s as simple as that.

Most parents of liberals would be ashamed of how their children turned out. Liberals are just like teenagers that have indiscriminate premarital sex, get pregnant, and boldly want their parents and the rest of us tax payers to clean up their mess. Liberals lack any sense of social responsibility and accountability which is why they promote abortion and “free love.”

Unfortunately, folks, Jason “articulates” a widespread assumption among people who vote Republican. Some of those people actually have basically liberal positions on issues, but have bought into this propaganda about us, which has been assiduously promoted on talk radio and to an extent, on Fox. We’ve got to do more to show that most of us actually lead very staid lives, are hardworking, pay our taxes, generally faithful to our spouses or significant others. Many of us also are active members of a church or synagogue, but we also accept those who do not associate themselves with any organized religion, and we accept atheists. We don’t “promote abortion” but recognize that none of us are in the position to choose or not choose that option for women, ESPECIALLY WOMEN WHOM WE DON’T EVEN KNOW!!!

We cannot continue to let people like Jason demonize us. Rather than hurling insults at him and his ilk, simply quietly and objectively tell the truth about our lives and those of other liberals we know.

Most parents of conservatives would be ashamed of how their children turned out. Many conservatives are like cult followers who are ruled by guilt and fear, controlling and authoritative to those down the social heirarchy, unquestioning submission up it, suppressing doubts about leadership while discouraging questioning and dissent among others. Conservatives lack any sense of social responsibility and accountability which is why they promote “drowning government in the bathtub”, unlimited inheiritences by the Paris Hilton’s of the world, the destruction of unions, glorification of wealth and priviledge, their own religion’s supremacy, themselves as a remnant of righteousness, contempt for other countries and cultures masked by a condescending, superfically benevolent “whiteman’s burden”, and… well one has to stop somewhere.

God is a SHE, not a HE. You’re in big trouble Mister. But don’t worry, SHE is much kinder than the deity you falsely believe in so its highly unlikely SHE will make you sleep in the dog house or on the couch for eternity. I’m sure you’ve experienced this before so you know what to expect.
