Chafee behind Bolton vote delay.
“Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) has pulled the plug on a push by his fellow Republicans to confirm John Bolton as U.N. ambassador, saying he had more questions that needed to be answered,” the AP reports. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee was expected to vote today “along party lines” to approve Bolton, but the vote has been delayed.

September 7th, 2006 at 4:09 pmChaffee can’t be seen as voting for Bolton before the election or the voters might be angry. Geez, it’s pretty bad when you can’t vote for your guy because of public backlash.
September 7th, 2006 at 7:11 pmI read that Chaffee is not crazy about being too close to Bush on anything; plus when the White House asked Lugar to hold everything else so it wouldn’t look so much like a revolt against Bolton, Lugar refused.
So Yosemite Sam has been put on “hold” until further notice.
Also, some Dems are threatening Disney’s broadcast license. Do they have the power to do that?

TP also gave me something like that except it was not Tripmaster it was ‘Lasermike026′ with an email address that I wont post..
I looked up Arin whois and pinged the address to get an IP nummie, Lasermike did turn out to be a linux programmer so I’m thinking TP was under some type of spam attack..
