I understand that Cheney wants to catapult the propaganda with repeating the same phony phrases over and over again ad nauseum, but why in the hell do the talk shows invite him on? Do they think he’s going to suddenly confess his sins on their show?
Or – is this another example of the networks kowtowing to the demands of the White House?
I suspect it is that the networks ingratiate themselves to their friends in the White House and Congress because they know that deregulation allows them to continue to even greater ownership (read money).

Cheney is also guilty of the most aggregious logical fallacies to hit the airwaves in 50 years:

“I don’t know how you can explain five years of no attacks, five years of successful disruption of attacks, five years of, of defeating the efforts of al-Qaeda to come back and kill more Americans,” Cheney said. “You’ve got to give some credence to the notion that maybe somebody did something right.”

I know how to explain it. See, I’ve had a leprechaun locked in the garage since September 12, 2001. Every day I give him a piece of gold from the captured pot at the end of my bathroom’s rainbow (you can only see it when you turn on the shower). I say, “Leprechaun, here’s a piece of gold. You know what to do.”

For Cheney to say that debate is Unamerican, unpatriotic, and helps the terrorists is absurd. If everything he has told us is the truth, then what is he afraid of? It’s times like this that we need more critique. It’s the only way to keep the public informed and the government kept in a power balance. Silence people and garner more power. He and the administration sound like they are using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as a guidebook.

That’s the most tired old lie. Pointing out the obviousâ€”those who oppose the stupid policies of Bush/Cheney are against the terrorists, of course. So, he starts off by insulting us. Then, of course, his stupid policies have made the terrorists much stronger over the past five years. Finally, he even stopped looking for the guy who attacked us. He’s gotten everything wrongâ€””last throws of the insurgency”, “greeted as liberators”, etc. If he ever says anything true, it’ll be an accident…

so what exactly is our mission in Iraq? Bleed…Spend…and radicalize the locals??? This administration has forgotten every lesson we should have learned from Viet Nam…about how to wage a guerilla war…and wouldn’t listen to its own military about how we were making things worse…until it was obvious to all that we were LOSING.
