Well that’s a fair start to answering the question….please continue. BTW I am not for dissolving the U.N. but as anyone who has seen what the U.N. does and most importantly doesn’t do, it does need a complete overhaul.

Is the U.N. effective? Let me clarify what I think “effective” partly means. Are they quick to respond to crisis? Are they effective is stopping problems before they either start or get out of hand? Are the quick to impliment force protection in area that needs it, i.e. Southern Lebanon?

Next… A ‘Frank Luntz’ poll?!? PUHLEEZE!!! This is the guy who created the terms “Clear Skies”, and “Healthy Forests”. And “Death Tax”, that’s his too. He takes polls on how to word polls to get the answers Republicans want. Remember the perplexing poll results that seemed to indicate the majority of Americans thought that illegal, warrentless wiretapping was o.k.? Once we saw the actual questions being asked, you could see that they had been carefully worded to elicit a particular response. It was a Frank Luntz poll. ‘Nuff said.

One other thing… I don’t trust people with ‘no lips’. ‘One-lipped’ people are suspicious as well. I can’t say how this perception of mine ever began, but it generally proves to be accurate, for me. I can remember saying, back in 2000, when I saw GWB, “I don’t trust him, he doesn’t have any lips.” This was the cause of many “WTF” looks and comments from folks. But I was certain, and as we see… Note that Cheney is a ‘Lip-Lacker’, as well.
