Bush’s approval rating rose to 42% from 38%

For bush to cheat in the forthcoming election his ratings will have to be near 45% so he can whitewash you all AGAIN - looks like its started

I am so glad that the IAEA is confronting BushCo's blatant attempt to make Iran look just like they said Iraq looked, right before we attacked them. I could not understand (still can't) how the House Intelligence Committee had discovered so much more about what is occuring in Iran than our intelligence agencies were able to learn. I would like to hear how they managed that. But BushCo is now known to be incredibly dishonest about everything, so it will be ALOT harder to make their sh*t float this time, thank goodness.

Mark,

You forgot the caveat. They will take action on the 1% if that is what they want to do: their justification. The other 99% doesn't count because there is no way they are going to act responsibly. Actually it is a no-brainer, what could be more fitting of bushco, because they always have their 32% brain-dead (I guess "no-brainer" and "brain-dead" are redundant) sycophants to give them a 31% cushion to justify their actions or inaction.

Officials of the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency “angrily complained to the Bush administration and to a Republican congressman yesterday about a recent House committee report on Iran’s capabilities, calling parts of the document ‘outrageous and dishonest‘ and offering evidence to refute its central claims.”

You mean BushCo and its repukelican enablers in Congress are faking intelligence about a middle eastern government's weapons capabilities, simply to make a case for increased UN sanctions as a predicate to a US invasion? Say it isn't so!!!

TMM, Sharon,

As strange as it may seem I am having less trouble now than over the last 2-3 months. I, too, thought I was banned and got no response from TP but later located the problem in my own equipment. I have a local WiFi that feeds a DSL modem and four computers. I found that by rebooting the WiFi and DSL when I cannot connect solves the problem. May be irrelevant but worth a moment to check.

At this point in time it is pretty well known that the white house operates under the principle that if there is a 1% chance of something happening then they must act on it…or so they say. Lets take Iraq for instance. They believed that there was a 1% or better chance that Sadaam wanted to arm terrorists to attack the US. Of course now we know that this 1% existed only in their minds. But what I want to know is what actions do they take on the other 99% of the possibilities out there? Or are they frozen on those possibilities? That would be extremely sad, and reckless if the administrations actions were befuddlement and inaction on situations where the probability is that the particular situation is more than likely to occur.

Sharon,

The issue I have is that if I try to post from my home IP address (which is where I do the majority of my posting), every post, regardless of content, trips the spam filter. The posts then either are posted much later, or not at all, apparently according to TP's whim. However, the same posts, posted through my work IP, go through just fine.

Case in point: I just tried to post this via my home IP, and was stopped by the 'spam filter'. Attempting to post it via my work IP, however, was quite successful, as you can see (you wouldn't be reading this otherwise). Obviously, the 'spam filter' is flagging everything that comes from my home IP. This is a siteban in all but name.

And, predictably, I still have received no response to my questions.

Most day’s it is more trouble than it is worth, note I am not here as much any more and if it doesn’t improve soon I won’t be here at all……

If that does come to pass, Sharon, please let us know where you are going, so we can continue to share thoughts and ideas.

Why does the Congress hate Americans?

If they give "terrorists" better health care than 46 million Americans who have none, isnt' that wrong?

Just asking

Trip M.M. It isn't just you.....This mess started for me over 4 week's ago...First I was blocked out totaly, could not get the TP. blog to load at all...Sent many emails and never did get an answer....Thought I was banned, maybe I was...Then after a week of that have had numerious problem's posting, lost posts and still have to go back to the front page with every reading or posting....The good thing is the posting box was moved up this morning....That's an improvement...Now if we could go back to the way it was over a month ago it would be nice.....Most day's it is more trouble than it is worth, note I am not here as much any more and if it doesn't improve soon I won't be here at all........

Another great post Clyde....I agree...Blessings all.

Perhaps someone can straighten out my thinking here:
Yesterday an unmanned drone revealed a Taliban (?) funeral or other such gathering. A message was transmitted, but our military refused to take action because it was against the somewhat arcane rules of engagement (civilians were present).
Isn't this exactly the sort of thing they vilified Clinton for?
But on the other hand...
If they didn't take out this group because the R of E were prohibitive, are they making a case that we need to eliminate the rules of conduct or the "terrorists will win"?
Is this going to be a case of their having it both ways?

found this on my google news homepage:

Hezbollah accused of war crimes

Amnesty said the rocket attacks were deliberate and indiscriminate
Amnesty International has accused Hezbollah of acts amounting to war crimes in the conflict with Israel.
It says the Lebanese militant group deliberately targeted civilians with rockets in the 34-day war - a "serious violation of humanitarian law".

Amnesty has already accused Israel of committing war crimes by targeting Lebanon's civilian infrastructure and is urging a UN inquiry into violations.

Hezbollah rejected the report, calling it a result of US and Israeli pressure.
...

...all war is a crime, damnit...

In my way of thinking "excellent prison conditions" is a contradiction in terms. The silly bastard obviously was on the wrong side of the wall. Frist and the rest of bushco should be on the inside looking out before they start evaluating prison conditions. But I guess it is all relative. Speaking of same there are a bunch of bushco relatives that should be sharing the "excellent" accomodations.
