    The lesser of the two evils I guess. Harbor terrorists, or believe that Bush intends to make you safe….. No-brainer.

  2. Jay says:

    Perhaps “breeding ground for terrorists” is a euphemism for “spreading the seeds of democracy’. As the Kinks once said: east is west, left is right up is down and black is white…

  3. WaltTheMan says:

    Give W another 856 days and you will not recognize the World you died in. One can only hope that the next genetic succession will give rise to pacific creatures.

  4. Dick Dastardly says:

    This, in a uni-polar world where the Islamists are seeking to exploit the lack of government control, alliances with transnational criminal groups and rear guard areas to train and begin the caliphate, is extremely dangerous.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And starting a war in Iraq, thereby creating a training ground, was supposed to be a great way to stop from creating this ‘Caliphate’?
    VIII. There were never any al-Qaida sleeper cells in the United States.
    In 2002, the Bush administration leaked to the press its assertion that al-Qaida had 5,000 “sleepers” in the United States, dormant agents that could be activated by Osama bin Laden. There were none—at least, not a single one has been found, and no terrorism has occurred in five years. No terrorism at all: In five years, no one in the United States has as much as been punched in the nose by an angry Muslim fundamentalist.
    You’re messing with the very core of the Republican’s strategy and hold on the people of the U.S. :
    Fear! Fear! Fear! Osama – Boo!
    9-11! 9-11! 9-11! 9-11! 9-11!
    They won’t appreciate the truth being spread around like this…
    ;) nice post…
  8. bones says:
    The number one terrorists breeding ground is NOW Iraq. After we killed thousands in a culture that holds a grudge for generations, we have hundreds of thousands of brothers, sons, uncles, aunts, mothers who will spend their lives “getting even” with Americans for generations.
  9. Jay Randal says:
    2 more years of the Bush Regime, so by 2009 probably half of the world’s nations will harbor anti US terrorists > thank Dubya Dunce!
  10. WaltTheMan says:
    #8 – budpaul,
    Not everyone can afford to move to Fallugia.
  11. Zooey says:
    bones,
    I love it how GWB throws out the line about Iraq being a breeding ground for terrorists, but leaves out the part where he created the situation.
  12. Gregor Samsa says:
  13. Exley says:
    Official U.S. foreign assistance to the least developed countries topped $27 billion in 2005, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, more than twice the level when Bush took office.
    [...] Potential breeding grounds for terrorists in the form of failing states? 26. Up from 17 in 2003. From Think Progress [...]
  16. Jericho says:
    Seems like the war on terror is working, if you’re on Bush’s side and your real objective is to create terrorism so your party can get elected gain. US politics are about as logic as a taking the car to visit your neighbours.
