Bush hosts right-wing radio talk show hosts at White House.

The guest list included Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, Michael Medved, Laura Ingraham, and Mike Gallagher. (Rush Limbaugh was unable to attend.) Friday’s off-the-record talk, set for 30 minutes, ended up lasting 90 minutes, where Bush told his guests that the war on terror has to be about right versus wrong, “because if it’s about Christianity versus Islam, we’ll lose.” He also showed them the pistol Saddam Hussein had when he was captured.

    Ahhh...they cloned Sean Hannity.

Did he also have a t-shirt that said "I sent thousands of people to their deaths for a illegal vedetta war and all I got was this stupid pistol"

  2. pgw Says:

seems like out-of-touch reaction to clinton meeting with bloggers

  3. Hardy+Haberman Says:

Blatantly giving marching orders to the troops. Karl Rove's had is all over this and it should give Democrats the shivers. Time to start some serious talking point memos Dems! Let's not give this election away in November.

  4. s Says:

How much longer must we endure this grotesque obscenity of a president? God help us all.

Signed, an American that rejects the GOP crime family and it's immoral, criminal vision of our once great country.

  5. kpelligra Says:

    Getting their marching orders?

  6. robg Says:

There goes that damn liberal media again, always getting access to the President.

  7. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) Says:

The War on Terror, to BushCo, is about "right vs. left", not "right vs. wrong". That's why it is perfectly logical that no liberals or progressives were invited to this shindig.

  8. Grace Says:

Ahhh, Sean Hannity must be in heaven, spending time with his idol and/or god, the imbecile George W. Bush.

  9. Jimmy Says:

Oh no! There are now TWO Sean Hannitys!?

Was he handing out their checks?

  12. Clyde+the+Ripper Says:

It is a wonder his handlers let him play with the gun. Hopefully he will pull a Cheney on himself and save the expense of a trial.

  13. Jay Randal Says:

Dubya Dunce Decider Despot should have invited his favorite fascist Ann Coulter to be with that far right group at the White House > lol.

  14. whereuat? Says:

Can we start calling them "right-wing terrestrial radio talk show hosts" so they sound like aliens to the less educated?

  15. Five of Diamonds Says:

    Courting the useful idiots.

  16. left in a right world Says:

90 minutes with a bunch of air-heads. Didn't Bush spend less than an hour when he invited the former Secretaries of States to discuss(which turned into basically Listening) Iraq?

Do you think that any of his guests got sore arms from patting each other on the back about what a great job they are doing in Iraq and America? What a bunch of jerks!

  17. Dick Says:

    if it's Christianity against Islam we'll lose..-GWB

Say did George just call his base of 30 million -- ChickenHawks?

Sure seems that way..but you know that would be about right..the right wing 101'st keyboard warriors are all chicken and won't serve...can't win a war with mouthy pundits can you?

  18. Spudge_Boy Says:

So, Bush (Rove) was handing out the talking points this weekend. Actually, I can't wait to hear some new talking points, as the old ones are getting pretty tired and have been debunked hundreds and hundreds of times here at TP alone. At least new talking points will give us new ammunition to use against these morons.

  19. katy Says:

    from the 2nd link:
...Boortz then flew back to Tucson. Having lost two days of vacation, he delayed his return to the airwaves until Wednesday, instead of this morning,...

what is it with these guys and their vacation time???
what was he in to that couldn't be cut short to accomodate the prez AND the sheeple, er, listeners...?
    ...

  20. Leona Says:

Where is the photo of the White House Cowboy Boots that President Reagan had Rumsfield present to Saddam as a gift when we sponsored his hate for Iran.

  21. katy Says:

yea... Bush told his guests that the war on terror has to be about right versus wrong... the LEFT being wrong, of course...

  22. Dick Says:

And as usual the keyboard Kabal is only good for one thing..spewing crap.

But now George needs those 'Good liberals to fight his ignorant evangelic crusade of centuries past, in old ignorant war of Armageddon..they should drag every fundie from every end-times church, the Hagees, the Falwells, and the Roberstons around the country and make these War for 'end-times' and Jesus serve first.

No, Mr Bush, No, I am a Christian, but I do not hold your insane views of War for Jesus - screw you and your insane bunch of end-timers...go fight your age old battle of stupidity.

  23. Mary Says:

    Got to catapult the propaganda!

  24. the fly-man Says:

Rush Limbaugh, for what ungodly reason, had the balls to turn down an invite from the President of the US. What an ego. I loved his blather on his show the other day where he said if he wanted to go into politics he would have done so. Maybe that would have gone better than his TV experience. I wonder if the President showed them a piece of the wing from the plane that hit the Pentagon.

  25. Mary Says:

    Got to catapult the propaganda.

  27. Bingo! Says:

If it's good vs. evil then we lose, because Bush & Co. are evil.

  28. Sharon Cox Says:

The most interesting thing about this entire administration is..They never do their job...Never...All they do is shun world leader's, rattle sward's and beat war drums, act tough and spend all their time with speeches and propaganda...Lie, steal and do all they can to make the public think they are taking care of business while they fleece every one and distroy the constitution..

If bull shit bush was a leader (which we know he is not) he would spend 90 minutes with world leaders in diplomacy and way's to stop the war. But then when one is a war starter that is not his plan.
All his base don't get it and he doesn't want them to. He want's them to think his war creating and continious lies are in their best interest's and that some how someone else is at fault for this war and all his madness..

Heard a reporter the other day scream out the question "Mr.President, will you be talking to Iran"..Most quickly the answer was "No"...Bull shit has the mentalety of a sophmore in high school,( no offence sophmores ) with hormones in rage and a lack of suffecient survival skills they don't think of consaquences...Having lived through that time of my life I remember well. Along that same line remember the old, "if you're their friend you can't be mine".......The uneducated thinking and combined evil is to much to work with...Clearly bull shit need's to be put in a sanatarium, forever.. Blessings

  29. Darin Says:

George Bush..Radical and Chief. The only evil going on here at home is that being done by Bush himself.

  30. Bruce+Gorton Says:

So the punditocracy aren't even trying to hide who they get their orders from anymore. Pathetic.

  31. km4 Says:

Sounds like a lunatic circle jerk affair.

  36. Sharon Cox Says:

The old movie Heartbreak Ridge come's to mind when imagening this bunch and one phrase in particular "Cluster F***" That pretty much discribes this administration....Blessings

  37. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

I thought the District of Columbia had very strict gun control laws, or am I thinking of somewhere else? And is the President of the United States exempt from such laws? Or should he still be storing that pistol in some kind of armory? I didn't think that presidents were supposed to be keeping war souvenirs. Gifts from other countries, sure, but war souvenirs? That strikes me as, at the very least, inappropriate and in bad taste.

  38. big+papa Says:

    Damn!

The terrorists could use better intel...

  39. Your Conscience Says:

It is being reported that Sean Hannity asked a legitimate question which caused an awkward and prolonged pause.

Mistakenly he asserted " Mr President, with all due respect if the battle for Bahgdad is directly tied to Americas safety as you have stated, then why are we not pouring ALL of our resources, might, and power to resolve this battle?"

With a lonnnnnnnng awkward delay in which the other bloviating talking heads winced and slowly looked to George for an answer George, after seven minutes of pausing and curling his lip busted out in hysterical laughter followed by the rest of the group.

After a minute of laughter and George wiping tears from his eyes he stated "Damn Sean that was funny as hell, you had me going there for a a minute" "Resolve this???!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA"

Secret service attending were seen rolling their eyes and wispering God help us.

  40. Tom Says:

Further evidence of Bush's complete lack of compassion. Shouldn't Bush have had the decency to invite those radio hosts who have no audience, to wit: the Air (anti) America hosts/hostesses?

  41. big+papa Says:

    Tom #40

...That meeting was only for "faulty intelligentsia"...

    ...non-inbreds not allowed...

  42. Hols Says:

See Thinkers, what we missed! The opportunity to hear Bush, spit, hiss and "heh""heh". In other words, to be nauseated and feel like absolute DIRT!

  43. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) Says:

    Tom
I dare you to provide even one quote from an Air America Radio host/hostess that is explicitly "anti-American".

  44. nofltwlt Says:

Very good ploy on the little woodenhead's part; invite people who won't shut up so he doesn't embarrass himself by speaking, or being a "vocalinator".

  45. bones Says:

Golly Gee, did they invite Jeff Gannon Guckert for old time sake?

  46. Retired+Republican+Soldier Says:

Next week I hope Bush invites the leaders/memebers of PNAC for a meeting! I am sure that will get all the LLL Mo0b@+5 in an uproar. I would also have him direct some Army helo be painted black and circle DC during the meeting for special affect.

  47. Marie Says:

Bush's behavior as president is obscene.
He refuses to hear from anyone who does not agree with him and go forth with his message, so he rounds up the usual acolytes.
This is a man with a closed mind, and he is particularly dangerous because he is a stupid, ignorant egomaniac with that closed mind.

  48. aqua+velva Says:

and, of course, being the decider, Dubious gets to be the one who decides what is right and what is wrong..........
the mentality and reasoning power of this buffoon suggests he never really made it past junior high school........

  49. unbelievable Says:

Bush thought he was pointing out the circus freak show, but in reality, he was actually ring leader of a host of other gross human abnormalities...

  50. piper Says:

I wonder if they toured the Lewinsky play room next to the oval office. Thank GOD there are morals back in the Presidents office. At least he makes a decision and doesn’t just rule by poles like the blue dress strainer we had before.

  51. Marie Says:

We'd be better off with someone who had a play room in the White House than the mentally challenged, warmongering, immoral lawbreaker we have now.
P.S. Immorality is not limited to sexual behavior.

  52. jane_al Says:

    Yeah, Piper --

Cuz you know dead semen are much more important than dead soldiers.

    Geez. What an idiot.

BTW -- Since Rush is effectively a person who is 1) on probation (IIRC) and 2) an admitted criminal -- would he even had passed the Secret Service check that is done for one to visit the White House/President?

Many years ago my Dad took a sports-trip with Steve Ford (just the President's son and NOT the Prez and before this incessant war on terra) and he had to undergo a 3-week background check before he could go and HE was the one supplying the equipment for the entire entourage. Doubt if Rush, with his recent legal troubles, could pass muster with the Secret Service.

But, then again, someone in this administration allowed a known homosexual escort in for press conferences and "other" activity. We just haven't found that high-ranking administration official's "blue dress" yet...better call an independent counsel in to check out everyone's bloomers, Piper.

  53. piper Says:

Yes freeing millions from an evil dictator is SOOO immoral.

  54. Nat Says:

They were at the White House to collect their share of the loot.

  55. Zooey Says:

How long did GWB talk to that roomful of former Secretaries of State?

    40 minutes?

  56. Zooey Says:

    RRS,

Will you ever learn how to spell Moonbat?

    M-O-O-N-B-A-T

    Yours truly,
    Moonbat Zooey

  57. JPark Says:

RRS, of course it would cause an uproar. Isn't it your job to downplay the PNAC though? You're fired.

  58. JPark Says:

Piper brought up Lewinsky!!! Pooper must be one a them values voters. You know, the ones that are as dumb as rocks but are happy when everybody is forced to act like him? You know, the pedophiles that molest the youngins in private.

  59. the antigop Says:

Yeah, slimebaugh wasn't there because he already had a private audience with cheney and rummy.

  60. Kevin Says:

I don't see a problem with the Presadent talking to people that have been supportive to his cause. Should he only have meetings with people that diagree with him? And why do some of the "progressive" people posting wish death on the people in the meeting. You disagree with them fine. State your point of view as to why and move on.

  61. piper Says:

    Kevin their MOONBATS thats why.

  62. Poindexter the Progressive Says:

I came here expecting to read informed observations from intelligent democrats/progressives (the loyal opposition) but instead all I've found is identical hateful, partisan rhetoric from dozens of you.

Shame on you for your closed minds, your tired over-used lines and unfathomable hate. I've heard these so-called right-wing talk hosts called "hate radio," an arguably true or false charge. I come here and find hate speech so utterly paranoid and disjointed that it makes any further dialogue impossible.

You people are free to form and speak your opinions but I worry for the cause of intelligent dialogue when I see what's been written here.

May you find happiness in your lives that isn't dependent upon the relative rise and fall of George Bush, et. al. The choice is yours.

  63. frank Says:

Like m. Savage said liberalism is mental disorder. God help us if the next president is a democrat especially if he is any thing like you IDIOTS on this blog

  64. MaineAh Says:

It is simply amazing that the President can find an hour and half to speak with the talking heads of the talk radio entertainment world BUT cannot find 5 minutes to invite Cindy Sheehan to the oval office, and sit down, face to face to talk, to talk with her about the war. She lost her son and these talking heads gave what to the Iraq cause?

When the President's children, VP's children, and all the chicken hearts who are for the Iraq war, as long as they and thier children never have to 'go in harm's way', enlist and then they loose a child, maybe then?

My brother inlaw is 58, he served in Veitnam and has two children who have or wll serve in Iraq. He re-upped him self and will serve this fall in Iraq too.

    God Bless America

  65. Kzd Says:

Mike Gallagher is a raving douchebag hatchetman completely unoriginal hack.

  66. Iraq Death Toll Increasing-- The End of The Republic Says:

[...] Bush Hosts Talk Show Personalities [...]

  67. Keven Eldridge Says:

Desperation is now setting in and notice, now that the GOP is in damage control mode, they are running to conservative talking heads. Cheney was on Rush’s show yesterday. Rep Hastert (R-IL) was on following the Foley fallout.

Bush’s attempt to control reward conservative talkers isn’t new. Armstrong Williams was given thousands to push Bush propaganda regarding no child left behind. This is shameful and it should cause outrage among the American People, regardless of what political persuasion. Mind you, the President didn’t invite the speaker of truth, Keith Olbermann or a more centrist Independent-type in the likes of Lou Dobbs.

Get these clowns out of Washington! Once again, these neo-cons will do anything to preserve power.
