Retired Colonel: ‘We Are Conducting Military Operations Inside Iran Right Now. The Evidence Is Overwhelming.’

Just now on CNN, Air Force Col. Sam Gardiner (Ret.) said, “We are conducting military operations inside Iran right now. The evidence is overwhelming.”

Gardiner, who taught at the U.S. Army’s National War College, has previously suggested that U.S. forces were already on the ground in Iran. Today he added several additional new points:

1) The House Committee on Emerging Threats recently called on State and Defense Department officials to testify on whether U.S. forces were in Iran. The officials didn’t come to the hearing.

2) “We have learned from Time magazine today that some U.S. naval forces had been alerted for deployment. That is a major step.”

3) “The plan has gone to the White House. That’s not normal planning. When the plan goes to the White House, that means we’ve gone to a different state.”

  2. Toes says:

Does anyone expect that these guys will be accountable or responsible for anything they do?

The U.S. is going in. No doubt about it.

  3. pgl says:

Newt is going to be SO happy – World War III – wheeee! And Forbes on Fox is likely going to start talking about which stocks to buy so they can make money as thousands die.

  4. Steve says:

I really hope that somehow the citizens of this country will stop PNAC from starting another war before Bush leaves office.

    Please?

    Just in time for November.

  6. Tom says:

King George will attack Iran and claim that the authorization for the use of military force approved after 9-11 to go into Afganistan covers this attack, there will be no congressional authorization. When we finally learn about the attack it will be too late to stop him.

  7. sjt says:

If he’s right, isn’t this leaking classified operational information? Shouldn’t he be frog-marched?

  8. Brian says:

Keep an eye on this one, but also be aware that Gardiner has been singing this same tune for a few years now, see e.g.,

  9. The DLC are Frauds says:

Well you know what? The Pope just publicly said something we all know and now the Muslims want to wage jihad because of it. I think it’s time we settled this. I have always sympathized with Muslims because I don’t think Israel is a righteous state. I think Israel stole thier land and I think it pulverizes the mideast.
Having said that, the Muslims in the world WILL NEVER GET THE THINGS THEY WANT without moderate and lefty support. NEVER NEVER NEVER. And as long as they threaten to kill people for speaking they can freaking die for all I give a crap. I think the Pope is a joke, but I’ll defend his freedom to say whatever he wants. Screw Iran. Screw Muslims.

  10. Carl says:

No, NO, NOO—It can’t be…they can’t still be setting up the scenery behind the curtain for another INVASION PLAY with Bush as Heroic Leader crushing the evildoer Iranian’s nuucular threat!

They can’t be that stupid, vicious and vacuous…CAN THEY?

No need to answer that one…if they really carry this through tho, there will be growing anger and opposition in this country and all over the world—I’m not sure where it will end.

    God save us all.

  11. Suburban Guerrilla » ‘We’re In Iran Right Now’ says:

[...] From CNN, via Think Progress: Just now on CNN, Air Force Col. Sam Gardiner (Ret.) said, “We are conducting military operations inside Iran right now. The evidence is overwhelming.” [...]

  12. bones says:

As previously stated, Bush needs to start a war with Iran. Iran will have to protect their people and territory. As soon as they kill the first American soldier, sailor, or marine Bush is going to yell Islamofascist murderers, protect the homeland, remember the Maine, kill the Muslims, or anything else he needs to to justify expanding Iraq into Iran. By then we will be forced into full war because you can’t change your mind after you use a tactical nuke on an Iranian city. And Bush thinks this surge of “patriotic death dealing” will sweep the republofascists into power in November. Murderer. Asshole.

  13. Wayne says:

And so the PNAC plan advances another step…..

This will be stirring a hornet’s nest, more suicide attacks, as Iran has promised if attacked. Which will lead to suspending our rights even further when Bush declares martial law.

And Congress will sit on its hands and let it happen.
We are toast. No one in power is trying to stop these maniacs.

  14. kelso says:

So we are going into Iran…let’s not bother showing the public any evidence at all on this one….just do it and justify it later…who cares if we have to change our justifications over and over and over….

    It worked in Iraq!

  15. Davis X. Machina says:

The nation faces a threat to its very survival, for which military action against Iran is not only necessary, but appropriate and proportionate: Democratic control of at least one House.

  16. --pseudolus says:

Time/CNN is reporting that the Navy has been orederd to prep for blockade of Iran. I don’t know how they expcet to do this without enough ssoldiers and equipment. Unless they plan on nuking Iran and not occupying it afterwards.

  17. Marie says:

Is this what Bush has planned to do BEFORE the Repugs lose control of Congress in November?
With Dems in control – he won’t be able to pull this off so easily.
When do the new guys take over – isn’t it January??

  18. John Doe says:

The Repugnants offer three things to the American people:

    1. Fear

    2. Tyranny

    3. Insolvency

  19. bones says:

And the beauty is this frickin asshat is GOING TO START A WAR without a Congressional declaration because HE’S THE DECIDER.

  20. Margaret says:

Don’t the people get to have any say about starting another war?

Even the people who like the idea of dropping nukes on Iran have to admit that there’s obviously no imminent threat, nothing that can’t wait at least , oh five years or so, so it’s not worth the risk to do anythink rash.

  21. Ecotopian says:

Should I tell my nephews to be on the next plane to Canada? There is no way the US can fight this one without a draft.

Where will it end? I’m not sure, but I feel really scared right now.

  22. turtle says:

This is what happens when a rogue Imperial President is not kept in checked in check by the other bracnes of government. Is it no wonder he runs amok?

  23. chuck says:

be afraid, be very afraid. And, you WILL love big brother.

  24. sjt says:

    Sooooo…no frog-march for Gardiner?

  25. kiamichi says:

If the Bush administration is stupid enough to start a war with Iran, and it seems to be, there will have to be a draft, and if there is, absolutely no exemptions! No more wars fought by minorities and the poor for the benefit of the rich!

  26. bones says:

    Population of Iraq 26 million

    Population of Iran 70 million

Can you say big frickin mistake?

  27. Jay says:

The only surprise here is that they didn’t start dropping bombs on Tehran earlier this year.

Now can we start the revolution?

All Bush backing keyboard jockeys, please report to your local recruiting office…your President’s next invasion beckons…..

  28. Zooey says:

OT: Keith just said he’s going to have another “Special Comment” re GWB’s “it’s unacceptable” statment.

  29. cynicalgirl says:

#19, he’s going to do it without Congress’ approval, so it doesn’t matter.

Did anyone catch the follow up with Jamie McIntyre afterwards? He is in total denial. He sat there claiming that it’s not true with a copy of “Dereliction of Duty” on the shelf behind him.

  30. phil says:

Guys and Gals….its time to get back to church…Bush is determined to bring about the END.

  31. PNAC says:

Amazing, Osama is hiding out in Pakistan with help from people within the Pakistan government. Osama is one coup away from having the bomb and Bush is after Iran.

  32. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

If we are operating militarily in Iran, I pray, hope, and beg a high ranking CURRENT military person to stand up and reveal the details, even if risking his/her own career for our country. Then, I pray, hope, and beg Congress to do everything in their power to stop this, up to and including impeachment.

  33. HowThatch says:

The husband of a friend of mine is an Army Ranger… and she told me he just got sent to Lebannon after being in Iran for a few weeks. I thought she may have mistaken it for IraQ — but she was quite sure. It could’ve been on the Afghan border or something, but still — it sent chills up my back.

  34. Ronin_Tetsuro says:

I’m fairly sure that this Administration isn’t stupid enough to commit to a ground war. They will quietly air strike whatever they want to pieces and then pretend they had justification in the morning. Then they will redeploy all troops inside Bagdad’s new moat and try to wait out the ensuing shit hitting the fan. That said:

YOU SONS OF BITCHES HAVE SOLD THE AMERICAN PEOPLE OUT FOR THE LAST TIME.

I say if they bomb Iran, we take the streets. And I’m not talking about some panzy ass one day work walkout, I’m talking about NOBODY does NOTHIN until we get some answers and these people are removed from power. We the People are the worlds last best chance to be rid of these warmongering assholes.

I don’t think we should let our country down in it’s time of greatest need.

  35. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

Does this mean that Rumsfeld has assembled a new “mother” of coalitions to help with his latest invasion?

  36. Jlp says:

Big ugly war starts in October. Huge negative response from voters — but what will it matter. It will already be happening. And the Bush Boys don’t care what we think. That’s been maide pretty obvious. And if it gets too ugly here in the U.S. you can just forget about the 2008 elections. Get ready for Marshall Law and the end of Constitional law as we have known i.

  37. Barbell says:

Its almost nuclear winter time, take care of a bunch of things. Iraq, Iran, and global warming. Lets do it.

  38. DaveD says:

Let’s see. Iraq? Check! Iran? Check! Syria and North Korea? Stay tuned! The Axis of Evil should all be in-play by the end of W’s second term.

  39. tru_thordare says:

This is too close to resembling The Third Reich on the eve of Operation Barbarossa. How long before the UN decides WE are the rouge nation in need of regime change?

  40. bones says:

And if you don’t like 70 million Iranians and most if not all Arabs, throw in most Muslims who will see Iraq and Iran as an attack on all Muslims. Throw in China who will bank Iran for the oil rights.

  41. Mike says:

I sit here and ask myself what I can do about this insanity, and conclude that there is absolutely nothing I can do except to buy oil futures, and the devil take the hindmost.

  42. Spudge_Boy says:

Let us also not forget that Iraq and Iran are now good buddies with oil deals and everything.

Is the friend of our friend our friend or is the friend of our friend our enemy?

  43. Pam says:

I agree, there are not enough troops to pull off a ground war with Iran. And I don’t think we’ll be able to count on much of a “Coalition of the Willing” anymore. So who’s going to fight this thing? It’s WAY past time for a revolution!! Takin it to the streets!!

  44. tru_thordare says:

I can see it now: Ronald “Goebbels” Dumbsfeld and KKKarl “Himmler” Rove ascending the steps of the Lincoln monument in preparation to announce “TOTAL WAR” to the nation.

  45. Pope Ratzo says:

In another age or place there would be hundreds of thousands of people in the streets of Washington DC every day over the outrageous behavior of this administration.

I notice that Diebold is still providing the voting machines and the media is still providing cover for Cheney and Bush’s lies.

Elections, op-eds and blogs aren’t going to get the job done. It’s past time that people take to the street. Maybe we could schedule mass protests or a general strike on a night when American Idol isn’t on TV.

I am ashamed of the behavior of our government. Otherwise impotent, I will go ahead and vote as a Democrat in November with the understanding that if by some miracle the Dems are able to wrest a tiny bit of power away from the Bush Junta that I will hold the Dems to a standard much higher than previous governments. They are going to have to act right from day one. No Liebermans allowed.

  46. Bender says:

  47. west virginia hillbilly says:

Lao-tzu said, if you want to stop something, first let it grow.
It seems to me that only moderate muslims will defeat radical Islam.

  48. midwestblue says:

Sometimes I think the only thing that would stop this insane nonsense is a national work stoppage. No work, no purchasing: let everything economic come to a grinding halt. The President and Congress would be scrambling and screeching and begging, and then finally, they might stop and listen to us for a change.

  49. Barbell says:

Thought there might be some serious people here, guess I was wrong. 1. He’s a “Retired Air Force Col” no serious power to the throne, getting a paycheck to say stupid things. 2. Any attack on Iran will be overwhelming airpower… possibly nuclear. 3. No ground forces will be required, poison earth. 4. Calling people stupid names is childish.

  50. Jay says:

    Barbell,

So far you’re the only batshit insane person on the thread…..keep making your points, it makes it so much easier for us to make ours.

  51. Willy says:

George Bush is insane. F**k all the morons who voted for him.

  52. Pissed says:

The first fired shot will be by Georgie boy in order to say his ass. for war crimes. The second will be by Iran and take out the green zone in Iraq.

  53. Barbell says:

like i said like being in kindergarden, lots of whinny people with no argument.

  54. Robert+Abooey says:

I don’t know about you but I’m loading up on Halliburton & oil stocks ASAP!! This is awesome!

  55. Jay says:

Barbell the equine philosopher say: “Naaaaayyyy, liberals are so whiiinnnnnnyyyy!

  56. Barbell says:

    Jay
the lil ol voice in me says your the poor girl seated 3 rows from the back on the left side of my kindergarden class. learn to spell, learn how to make a point and have another beer, seem you know what that is.

  57. km4 says:

No other country ( including the UK ) will stand with America for going into Iran and perhaps Russia and China will make things very difficult for the Idiot-In-Chief.

I predict another major colossal failure for the Bush/Cheney Neocon cabal and a Dem takeover of both the House and Senate in Nov.

Then impeachment proceeding can begin to be followed by a war crimes trial for these nutcases !

  58. Jay says:

Lil voice in my head is asking….why would barbell promote drinking to kindergartners? What no moral values? Lil voice also asking why wingnut criticize adversary for spelling when he spells kindergarten and whiney wrong? You’re so craaaaaazyy……

  59. Barbell says:

jay need some counceling…. obviously has a whomai problem. attack the obvious, but watch what;s sneaking up ur a$$

  60. Jay says:

Joking aside, km4, I agree, there will be a day of reckoning for these war criminals.

  65. adigal says:

I cannot believe that this government would be so stupid as to attack Iran. I cannot believe it, but my experience watching them for 6 years tells me otherwise.

But if true, why was Georgie having a meltdown last week? If he knows that he will distract from war crime accusations, why so pissed about not getting his way.

And I am in for any work stoppage if we bomb/invade Iran. IT is the only thing these monsters understand – a loss of $$.

  66. Peggy sue says:

We don’t need an army…our army has outsourced that job to plenty of mercenaries in the middle east (Blackwater anyone?) supported by our taxes for this & future wars to bring cash to the fat cats…and their corporations…Us in the streets? We are too comfortable with the remnants of comfort allow to us…and watching American Idols…

  67. EKIM says:

    We are so screwed!

  68. Barbell says:

I believe the following is more important than my typing:

1 . Al-Qaida in Iraq warned Pope Benedict XVI on Monday that its war against Christianity and the West will go on until Islam takes over the world, and Iran’s supreme leader called for more protests over the pontiff’s remarks on Islam.

    2. Willie Nelson and some of the others on his bus have been cited for misdemeanor drug possession.

Now some “retired” Air Force Col speaking out of his a$$. What gives?

  69. Eargy Earp says:

Gotta be a crack or a hoax. No one could be this stupid…….
O wait, except for one “Decider”.

On the more rational side: West Virginia Hill has it right. It is the same for all religeous extremists. It’s the moderates that need to bring the massesback from the zealots, back to reason, and away from the insane. This goes for Muslims and Christians and Jews. Need to promote economies and stability in all of these countries and reason will win out.

Look at the disaffected and how easily they are swayed. Germany’s Nazi’s are on the rebound in East Deutschland. Warum? Bad economy with no future = disaffected youths eager to be molded to blame others.

Look, I don’t know how many times I’ve seen fear of being under attack being played by all sides lately: WS says Jews under attack, Nazis say German economy under attack, Christian right wing says – Christmas, 10 commandments, marriage under attack, Muslims say way of life, holy land under attack. The masses everywhere seem to be easily led.

It is up to the moderates to rein them in from the inside. Attacks from the outside only seem to justify their purpose and excuse. We all need bring back the masses to the humanity and compassion of religion, not the fear of others.

  70. Eargy Earp says:

TEMPERED SOME SO’S NOT TO RAISE THE MASSESS’ RED ASSES — I SEE NO IMPEACHMENT, OR TRIPS TO THE HAUGUE IN ANY POLITICANS’ BRIGHT FUTURE. 72. Eargy Earp says:

    What is happening….No post?

  73. Jay says:

The folks that have been referring to the Bush “junta” and their 2000 coup d’etat have had it right all along, becomes clearer by the day. I know that the Iranian president is dangerous, but only for his misguided and overblown rhetoric…he hasn’t killed any innocent civilians yet (unless he’s killing his own people which of course is likely) and we can’t say the same about Bush. He’s responsible for the deaths of 10’s of thousands of innocents. These are just the facts. Let’s face it fellow Americans, seems Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro are the only men on earth willing to stand up to the Cheney/Bush crime family, they have lots of oil and natural gas (and cigars!) in their respective countries….life is filled with strange and disconcerting ironies.

  74. Barbell says:

jays pipe dream, how many cuban’s u talked to lately?

  75. Jay says:

Delbert, I think you’re right about Democrats that currently hold office, there’s too much money to be made for both parties when war is perpetual and they ALL have their lobbyist-soaked hands deep inside the cookie jar. However, there are going to be changes for Republicans AND Democrats as the grassroots build coalitions and uncorrupted challengers for House seats start to make inroads and win elections. The stomach-churning caveat is Who Count’s the Votes?

OK I agree that if this country were really filled with patriots, we would flood the streets, and not just to chant or hold signs. But this country is soft, flabby, and weak and wouldn’t see tyranny coming if it bit them in the ass. No amount of righteous blogging is going to change anything.

This country needs to be brought down a peg or two. Let’s roll against a few more countries and see how well an isolated Amerika does in a world economy, when it is totally dependant on foreign oil and cheap 3rd world labor. Let’s continue to erode the manufacturing sector and concentrate all wealth into the hands of fewer and fewer elite good-ol’-boys. Let’s see how well those “support the troops” bumper stickers protect us from $5/gallon gas. Let’s keep humping the flag and imagining we are so superior that our empire will never fade. That our god is better than their god.

Meanwhile I’ll invest in canned goods and shotgun shells. Nothing we say here matters people. Cover your ass.

So, gosh, you would think the Iranians would be looking fairly hard and have had at least a few run ins by now. Any credible reports?

  86. Dude says:

You guys are worrying a little too much. War cannot happen for many realistic reasons:

    - No troops left (as many have said)
    - A ton of oil leaves the Middle East through a pipeline that runs through Iran. Any military action will stop that flow of oil, and send prices through the roof.
    - Recently, unfavorable opinion against the Republicans has lessened due to the falling prices of oil. Do you think the administration would do something to risk that , esp before elections?
    - A war with Iran would probably result in our own country falling into all kinds of public protests and turmoil, I can’t see how it could happen with the opinion of the war in Iraq at such lows.

  95. Shelly Antibush says:

The treasonous George Bush gang has apparently decided that their previous tactic, lying to convince the servile Congress and gullible American public to go to war, won’t work any more. Congress probably won’t vote for a Bush war again. And on January 3rd the Democratic House and the 4 new Democratic senators will make it impossible to get funding for a big war ( although bombings of some sort might not be blocked by the wimpy Congress.)

So, as we speak, the Bushies are calculating whether to trump up an “immediate threat” that will enable Bush to quickly go to war under a pretext of urgent necessity. Betting that said servile Congress will be hesitant to say anything that can instantly be used in campaign ads accusing them of “favoring the enemy.” The election is 49 days away – the Democrats are ahead, so they will reason that the best thing to do is lie back and not say anything too critical of Bush. Of course, this pacifistic “don’t attack Bush” strategy didn’t quite succeed for Kerry in 2004, because, either due to election shenanigans in Ohio by Ken Blackwell and Karl Rove or legitimate Republican get-out-the-vote efforts in Ohio, Kerry didn’t quite get there vote-wise.

The main factor Bush and his gang will utilize in making the decision will be WILL IT HELP US OR HURT US IN THE ELECTION? If they think that it will rally Republicans, the Christian right and others, who are disturbed by Bush’s lying, his incompetence, his stupidity, and his importation of massive numbers of illegal aliens, but who will vote Republican if they think an imminent threat from the Great Satan Iran has been beaten back by the Great Bushhead, then they will attack Iran. If they think that moderate Republicans, independents and Democrats who normally don’t vote will finally be roused from their torpor and collectively say, “enough lies! enough false pretext wars!”, and outnumber the Christian radicals at the polls, then they will not attack Iran. Its as simple as that – and as sick as that.

As in 2003, Bush will attack another sovereign nation that poses no threat to us, based mainly on the prospect of winning the next election. Will we let him do it again?

Regardless if this is just a scare, I, as well as you, should call your Congressional Reps/Sens and tell them that even this hint at going to war with Iran, will deeply affect how you vote in November. I know, I know, it sounds trivial, but a mass call to the House and Senate, will sure to have an impact. Regardless, it would be interesting enough if people would post the response they received. Can we really afford to go to war, even if this is just speculation? Sorry to buckle to the usual “aggressiveness” that this blog promotes, but I am very scared that we could strike on Iran, and really put our country, and thousands of more lives in peril.

  97. Mr. Evil says:

What these neocon assholes fail to realize, among everything else, is that most kids today are bloggers in one form, fashion or another. They learn what is going on and don’t want anything to do with the military. Most people understand that if we were actually, verifiably attacked by another sovereign nation, most anyone would try to join up or help in any manner.
But with this sick, sadistic, convoluted PNAC agenda for the world at our expense, you couldn’t entice me with $10,000,000. As for my son, I’ll kill anyone that tries to take him for this demented ideal.

We should be building and creating and reveling in each other’s cultures. Not using them to foster hate, death and destruction.

  98. The+Oracle says:

Remember, the only thing we have to fear as citizens of the United States and the world…is the Bush administration itself.

BushCo has big plans for 2007.

First, one our their houseboys in the House of Representatives snuck a provision into a bill that gives the White House complete control over all of our nation’s military forces, including national guard units, which (after this law is passed) will no longer be under the control of our state’s governors. Hey, BushCo is just trying to streamline the command hierarchy by cutting out the middlemen and middlewomen, you know, our state’s governors.

Second, Bush awarded a $385 million contract to Halliburton to build “detention centers,” i.e. prisons, around our freedom-loving country. Of course, Halliburton will also hire those who will run the prisons, so BushCo will have their own personal gulags ready for occupancy sometime in 2007.

Third, the Air Force Secretary, Wynne, rolled out the idea of using ?non-lethal? high-tech weapons like high intensity microwave beams on any unruly crowds in the United States, before exporting this technology overseas to use on foreigners. Hmmmm. Holy crowd control, Batman. Also, it helps to loosen the Geneva Conventions’ “torture” definitions…to allow for torture.

Fourth, BushCo is determined to launch airstrikes against suspected nuclear sites in Iran, either by the end of 2006 or sometime in 2007. Times awastin’. Hurry. Hurry. Hurry.

So, what does all this have to do with BushCo plans for 2007?

Once BushCo starts another conflict by attacking Iran, concerned U.S. citizens might get a little restless, hell, they may even riot, calling for the heads of the people in BushCo responsible for leading us (the United States) into another neo-con Republican disaster.

Aaaah, that’s when BushCo control of all of our nation’s military, the building of $385 million worth of prisons and new crowd control weapons will come in handy.

I just wonder when 2008 rolls around whether or not our beloved country will still be a democracy or will instead be a right-wing, banana republic dictatorship under BushCo’s imperial presidential control.

Remember, the only thing we have to fear as citizens of the United States and of the world…is the Bush administration is itself.

And though the fact of this hurts, ie, to know how he is stomping on American Democracy and grinding his heal into it, save your numbness for the grunts in the military that are in harms way. Iran is no Iraq. It isn’t on the verge of internal social chaos.

The day Bush moves against Iran to a degree that Iran feels it will not be condemned for protecting itself, means there will be retaliation.

The tragedy of the resulting deaths of US soldiers…..

All the infrastructure is in place for the Bush admin to enforce martial law, postpone or cancel elections, jail all Muslims dems and protestors, and reactivate the draft. Want proof? Patriot act, (google video) FEMA camps, NSA phone database to keep track of who you are, where you are and what you are saying, the military wanting to use new weapons on American civilians to put down protests, and on and on.

  110. Marco says:

Well, I think that what most of the people has not yet understood is that Bush is not interested in winning a war, not even marginally. All that he wants is providing some fresh terror to his electors, and some new business opportunity for his friends (a war transfer money from the country, read tax-payers, in the hands of the few rich people lending money to the state and owning war-related industry). A war against Iran will not be another Iraq-like failure. It will be a catastrophe. Iran has much more forces than Iraq, and *has* nuclear missiles. For real, now, not the maybe-WMD or in-five-year-nukes-if-they-are-lucky. They can kill American people, not only the soldiers. So do something *NOW*. Please, do act! Tell your friends, organize public demonstrations, attach a sign out of your house. Don’t wait, it’s your life and the life of your dears that are at a stake now.

Proof Bush is trying to stay clear from a debate in which he would lose
“I’m sure both will have minders working hard to keep them apart,” said U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Mark Malloch Brown. “So probably, the great clash of the titans, the rumble of the jungle — whatever you want to call it — is not going to happen.”

Bush Quote ” War is my last choice” er second last that is direct talks is my last choice

Scott Ritter predicted this exact event happening years ago. He was right about Iraq and he is right about this too. Events are already in motion. BushCo denied that any plans had been made regarding Iraq, when they were already dropping bombs on them, trying to provoke Saddam into retaliating, so they could point at him and say “See? Now we have to attack him.” But he didn’t, so they came up with WMD’s instead. Just know that everything they are saying about Iran is crap too. But we are already there.

I would like to know who in the hell is going to fight the ground war in Iran. It’s not going to be the Army or the Marines who have 50% of their assets tied up in Iraq at any given time and the other 50% prepping to go back. Are they going to take all the sailors off their boats give them rifles and turn them into infantry companies? Sure would be an interesting experiment. Where are they going to get the fire support from field artillery? Most of the the Army and Marines artillerymen have been changed to MP and Infantry companies and are completely out of practice for safely firing rounds. There are no ground forces to fight it so this cant be a conventional war. Look at the troop rotations for Iraq. It’s not rocket science all you had to do is simple math, and the troops just aren’t there to fight another useless war and get bogged down in yet another BOG heavy, civil-military conflict. Unless they plan on doubling the size of the military within the next year, and that would be just enough personnel to keep constantly deployed in Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan. This is after the General in Anbar, where I am currently located, says he needs another division, and Afghanistan needs another brigade.

I would like to know who in the hell is going to fight the ground war in Iran.

It won’t be fought on the ground during the first two weeks and that’s all that matters to this White House. They are interested only in stirring up their most ardent supporters enough to go out to vote. This is essentially the most expensive, twisted GOTV campaign in the history of the planet. They’ll be whipping their acolytes into a frenzy and likely even launching air strikes against Iranian targets, but not too soon before the election. It must be timed just right so that the repercussions from their rash and irresponsible policy can be hidden from the electorate. Figure that the attacks occur ideally about five days before the election, maybe up to two weeks, tops. The last new moon occurs on October 22nd, so stealth night attacks might be possible up until October 26th, twelve days before the election. Retaining control of the Congress is all that matters now to this crowd and means are immaterial.

(Actually, most respected sources are saying 10 years for an Iranian nuke)

Who knows, maybe he thinks he is the Archangel Michael, come to rid the world of evildoers before J.C. gets here.

We are in a mess. Diplomacy is very important. The U.N. security counsel has agreed that it is important that Iran stop with their nuclear program. They didn’t agree that it was Iran’s right to possess nuclear weapons. Iran has no plans to stop. Now, France is unwilling to sanction. The Bush administration is being potrayed unreasonable because it wants santions in the event of Iranian non-compliance. So, what is it? Pay closer attention to how AMERICAN troops will be positioned in Iran to prevent missiles from landing in ISRAEL. Both wars have a curious interest in the well being of ISRAEL over the welfare of our own AMERICAN troops. It’s part II of the PNAC manifesto. GOD help us.

  171. Bonded says:

A major reason for invading Iraq has been to get troops on the ground near Iran. Why Iran? Let’s look at a few reasons.

    1. The hostage crisis of November 4, 1979 gave the United States a black eye that has never been avenged.
    2. The continuous fermenting of Anti-Americanism hatred in the region that began in earnest since the hostage crisis. The effect of this propaganda was evident on September 11, even if Iran was not directly involved.
    3. The bombing of the Marine barracks in 1983 has the fingerprints of Iran all over it. Another black eye that this time drew blood.
    4. Suspected support of the Iraqi insurgency and sectarian violence. Iranians are Shi’ite.
    5. The confirmed use of uniformed military forces in the recent Israeli-Hezbollah conflict. According to the Bush doctrine, action against Iran is now justified.
    6. The potential threat of nuclear Iran threatening important oil-suppliers in the Middle East. The administration has been watching this long before the Iraqi invasion.

Still, conventional military wisdom suggests that we are long way off from war. It is military infeasible for us to provide an October surprise. But wouldn’t a November 4 attack be a beautiful thing? All of that celebration going on in Tehran while we supply the fireworks.

The mad scramble for the remainder of Middle East Oil is on, guys. This is what this is all about. The “War on Terror” is nothing but a euphamism for “Resource (i.e, oil) Wars”. The coming years will be one Resource War after another. The American economy is dependent on Middle East oil, without it we’re doomed. America will not nuke Iran because we will not want to endanger the flow of oil. However, if America or some sort of U.N. coalition does make a move against Iran, Iran will disrupt the flow of oil for us as revenge. Life will be much, much different 10 years from now. If the American Energy Policy = nothing but Middle East Oil Securitization, then we will have no alternative but to reinstate the draft. And there will be no Canadian loopholes or school deferments this time around, the military has already has plans to ensure that doesn’t happen again. I’m glad I’m 45 and not 15.

Because Israelis are a bunch of backstabbing caniving warmongers. The NeoCons are just Likkuds without the Yiddish accent. Israel has instigated false flags attacks against the US and other countries to incite them into fighting their wars because their army is not large enough to do it. Look up the Levon and USS Liberty incidents where Israeli mossad attacked American forces dressed as Arabs in order to bring us into their war. I wouldnt put it past mossad to have pulled off the 9-11 tragedy. We should leave Israel to fester in the mess they incited.

If they bomb Iran, it result in an even more dangerous mess than Iraq. The country is four times larger, has millions of youths for recruiting age, lots of Russian missles, and would be far more unified than Iraq was. Iraq was weakened by the gulf war and over 10 years of sanctions before we went in with shock and awe. Iran could make a mess of the gulf and oil prices would soar. Remember when we had trouble with Iran a few years after Khomeni took over? They started shooting at tankers. This time they have alot more weapons at their disposal to do that, including supersonic sunburn missiles from Russia. Also, iran is not split up between waring factions like Iraq was. They have a deep rooted nationalism that has been there since the Persion empire. Their young men will become pretty patriotic once we start blowing up things. Also, should I mention Russia and China have a lot of economic interest in Iran? What if China decides to stop financing our out of control deficit by refusing to buy our bonds or starts cashing in the hundreds of billions they already have?

    1) the population of Israel is more than 7 million
    2) Iran is NOT the preeminent threat in the middle east, no matter what CNN says.
    3) Nuking any part of Israel will result in a tac nuke exchange which would anihilate not just us, jews, but also Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, Egyptians, Iraquis and Iranians. Israel has delivery systems the Iranians are lacking, but it doesn’t take much of a delivery system ( certainly no need for an ICBM) to attack Israel from Iran or to wipe most of iran off the map with the riposte.
4)Iranians know this, and most folks who bother with the matter at all also know that demagoguery and baldfaced lying are the route to power in the middle east ( and other places too)

Both sides are playing a dangerous game, but in either case it is dangerous mostly to folks in the middle east. Nukes are simple enougth to build, but delivery systems such as ICBM’s aren’t, which is why Chinese ICBM’s are few and technologically equivalent to those USSR had in the 50’s ( liquid fueled, requiring a large amount of time to prepare for launch and difficult to hide). What the chinese DO have and what they most likely sold the Iranians are their equivalent of cruise missiles ( Israel also has some, notably Popeye & Popeye Turbo). and these can carry small tactical warheads. This means that at least for now Europe and the US are not theratened directly, so no need to panic buy duct tape or bottled water just yet…

  221. MissionOfTruth says:

It’s very odd. I have tried twice earlier today to post comments on this thread but they still aren’t appearing. Hmmmm. I’ll make another attempt now.

Our democracy is very badly broken. People in America just don’t care about anything or anyone anymore. We have taken freedom and liberty for granted for so long now that Americans simply forgot about how important these things really are to us. We have forgotten how important it is for us to work to keep our freedoms and liberties alive for the sake of our current and future generations. The privilege of doing whatever we please on a day to day basis is the most important thing to us. Hedonistically serving our every personal whim and desire is all that matters. We don’t believe that we should have to work for our ability to enjoy the fruits of a free society. We believe that it should and always will be there for us just because we expect it to be so. Period.

However, freedom, liberty and genuine democracy comes at a price whether or not we are willing to contribute anything to it or not. If we don’t work to keep our democracy then our government and corporate establishments will gladly diligently take it away from us. This is precisely what is happening in America today. We are just a heartbeat away from losing our free society that we have taken for granted possibly everyday of our lives.

As for America’s desire for regime change in Iran – it’s all about the oil. The Bush administration would like nothing better than to go to war with Iran. The Bush\Cheney\Rumsfeld\Rove\GOP\Exxon and most other GOPers well oiled machines wants to claim all the oil rich countries in the Middle East as their own. They don’t care who they have to kill and what countries they must destroy in order to take possession of the world’s oil resources. True, this would raise oil prices to unconscionable levels. Not to worry. The Busheviks will reap incalculable profits from these transactions. Nothing or no one else matters at all.

As for Americans, they are out of touch with reality and they like it that way. We will continue to be told a plethora of lies by our government and mainstream media outlets. We will continue to be force-fed petrifying doses of fear and daily “terrorist” mantras which will eternally mummify and solidify the minds and bodies of Americans. The Rovianspinmeister methods work like an intoxicating hypnotic state of mind. They have since George W. Bush took office in 2000.

With the threat of war with Iran imminent Americans will waddle and rush to the polls to vote for their Lords and Saviors, the Grand Oil Party candidates and incumbents on November 7, 2006.

Tragically, the voters will NOT be choosing our leaders no matter how many people come out to vote. The electronic voting machines WILL be selecting our governing officials. Whether it’s done by vote stealing software, preprogrammed rigged memory cards and\or chips where all the data is stored, a hidden rebootable operating system, a ready hacked tabulation system, or a million plus other ways of voter disenfranchisement which has been instituted by our governing and corporate bodies – the Republicans are GUARANTEED to keep their majorities. Period.

Yes, George W. Bush recently announced to his colleagues that his comrades are going to win and win big. The vendors, such as Diebold, have promised that they will do everything in their power to ensure Republican victories. Various corporations around the country reported that they want the “status quo” to maintain their political positions. Companies like ChoicePoint, the Telcos monopolies, Big Pharma and others have stated that they are there for current Republican incumbents and new conservatives.

  222. mks says:

Mark these words. Republicans will win in November and we will attack Iran in January.

  223. MissionOfTruth says:

I tried posting these comments twice earlier today as well. So I’ll give it one more try now.

Despite the dismal state of affairs in this country there are people who are trying to preserve what we have left of our democracy.

The folks at http://www.blackboxvoting.org and http://www.bradblog.com have been documenting and proving election fraud since 2000 and 2004 respectively. Blackboxvoting.org is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, citizen donations supported elections integrity 501c(3) watchdog group representing the voters of the United States.

The missions of Blackbox and Bradblog have been to educate and inform American citizens about the truth behind elections in America. Also, their goals has been and now is even more so to get citizens more involved in the election process in order to achieve more accurate, fair, auditable, verifiable, transparent and unbiased elections.

Sadly, however, voter apathy in America and the peoples’ distrust of our political leaders or perspective candidates of the last 25 years has led to a frightening disconnect between electing people with moral character or bothering to vote at the polls at all. At most in any given election we might get a 50% turnout of the voting electorate if we’re lucky.

Moreover, citizen participation has fallen so drastically over the last 20 years that our government and corporate vendors have been working diligently together to privatize and secretize our entire elections processes. Meanwhile, Americans have fallen into a long, seemingly permanent, deep sleep over our most sacred and critical democratic function. Our democracy is in grave peril as a result.

Anybody who knows anything at all about computers know one thing with absolute certainty – they need antivirus, firewall security, spyware, hackerware and spamware protection software to block out invaders. Without it your computer would be rendered useless in a manner of minutes or hours at most.

Having said that, consider our “new” electronic voting machines that are being installed in America. The vendors of these machines are Diebold, ES&S, Sequoia and Intercivic-Hart. Sequoia was the first to arrive on the scene back in 1996. By the time 2000 rolled around the other manufacturers started to release their machines. These machines have the same and\or similar vulnerabilities that computers have. Voting tabulation software that is controlled and created by proprietary source code, rebootable operating systems, firmware upgrades, hardware upgrades, memory chips, memory cards and yes, vote stealing software, are common in these devices. So why in the world would anybody expect these machines to be any safer or more secure than the computers you use at home or in the workplace?

To answer the question of why one must first understand who is in control of what and what have they to gain from this power they hold. To explain allow me to give you some details. November 7, 2006 is election day this year. 80% of the voting electorate will cast their vote on an e-voting machine. The now convicted for fraud and other charges, US Republican Representative of Ohio, Bob Ney, was instrumental in establishing HAVA, the Help America Vote Act. This Act allocated $3 billion for the purchase of e-voting machines, with at least 60% of this money to go to Diebold purchases. HAVA would also privatize the machines so that all source code, software, security, management, certification, repair, maintenance, etc., of these devices would be kept secret and known only by the vendors. Too, HAVA drastically reduced the rights of citizens to oversee elections processes and allowed the government to hire officials whose job it is to keep votes and voting processes confidential and out of the reach of voters. It became so secret that voters themselves no longer had any meaningful way of knowing for sure how they actually voted. For example, in many states e-voting machines don’t provide any audit trail, receipt, printout, ballot or any other record that would physically prove how voters voted. The government just simply says, “You will have to trust us”. Well I don’t and I certainly hope you don’t either.

In the meantime, Corporate shills hired by the vendors are propped up to lie about how infallible, accurate and error-free there machines are. I for one am totally disgusted with their constant lying and mantras about how they keep improving their security and so-called fixing ongoing problems that are never actually remedied. Extremely serious problems, weaknesses and vulnerabilities with hardware, software, firmware, memory cards and chips, gaping security holes that never really get resolved or patched. If and when they are patched, they are either not done properly or new problems arise. Diebold is the most common offender, although they are not alone.

At Blackbox and Bradblog you will find literally thousands of articles, documents, papers, reports, legal essays, artifacts, audio, video and so much more in vivid detail regarding the facts and experiences people have been having all around this country with elections fraud and elections in general since 2000. It’s all really quite extraordinarily mind boggling and overwhelming. You can also link to http://www.youtube.com. In the “Search for” block in the top right hand corner just type in “election fraud” and press the “Search” button. You will get at least 86 audio-video results. Take the time to listen to as many of them as you can. You’ll be glad you did.

After you have taken the time to visit Blackbox, Bradblog and YouTube, you should have a thorough understanding of what we’re up against in this country. I don’t believe we have much time left. We have an administration in place that is unlike any other this nation has ever known since and even before its’ founding when King George I ruled (pre-1776). Our twice Commander-In-Thief has nearly total unchecked power and ALL the branches of government and media have large Neoconservative “Republican” majorities in place. Many of them got their by stealing elections but they have also used other nefariously diabolical methods of taking the positions and posts they now hold.

I have been living on this planet for a very long time. The fact that Fascist Autocratic Pluralism is becoming a way of life in America is egregiously disturbing to me. I would prefer to recall the happy and easy going years of the 1950s when democracy was truly as wholesome as Grandma’s homemade apple pie. Everybody cared about and look out for each other. People were not as quick to condemn their neighbors simply because they were a little different from themselves.

I digress. Still, there are all manners of fraud taking place in this country today. It’s worse now than at any other time in the history of our nation. If you care at all about continuing to live in a democratic society you will get involved in some way to keep it. Else you will lose it and democracy will be gone forever. Make no mistake about it.

#227 John, You should read a bit more than just the sensational headlines and preferably not from the zionist controlled media. Firstly Ahmedinejad is calling for the State of Israel to be dismantelled he does not advocate the “New Holocaust”. This is typical of the shitty US and worldwide media “circass” that promote Zionist ideology. Israel HAS nukes
and it EVERY countries right to protect themselves, including Iran. The Israelis have stabbed American in the back more than once (i.e. Liberty,
etc.,) they will not hesitate to do it again and again. Look at who is causing you grief and shit right at this moment. The Neo-Cun##s have formulated a megolmaniac plan which is truly ironic. They tax you , spend the money on their interests and when you guys start to bitch they will lock you up in their prisons that they have built with your tax dollars.
John please remember that the Chinese may well enter the ensuing war using missiles that are built to yankee specs that Isarel sold them.
Israel is rubbing her hands together in anticipating the warm American blood that will be shed to protect this abomination of a tinpot Middle east
“democracy”. Remember too that 911 was not commited by Saddam OR BinLaden and if this isn’t what you believe then your comments are not worth a pinch of dung.

They know Stump is ready to send more boys to die and know the bomb is the only chance they have to keep us out, and their oil safe and keep western influences away from where they do not want them.

are we going to build a 900 million dollar “embassy” in Iran like we are doing in iraq?

The sooner the 95% of our country which are ignorant, stupid, pathetic followers get their heads out of their asses and team up with those who are in the know and fed up, maybe they can follow some honest leaders that may arise and get something accomplished…buy us some more time before WW3.

  237. Bo+Diddely says:

Um, excuse me, big biscuit, but I am retired from the US Air Force, and becoming a colonel is nothing short of “who you know, and who you blow”. There are MANY whackos in the military, and it is not as easy to “weed them out” as you may think. We had a full bird colonel here at the hospital who was caught masturbating in his office. There are individuals with axes to grind in every work place in America, and the military is no exception. Gardiner is the poster child for such leftist dung heaps as “Democracy now”, “counterpunch.org” and “informationclearinghouse.com”. Not your bastions of truth on the internet, to say the least. Also funny how his erroneous claims of US actions in Iran were made on the “Clinton News Network” (CNN), and not in a more centrist news outlet.

Gardiner likes to say that “everyone else is lying except me…sort of like your claim that, “95% of our country … are ignorant, stupid, pathetic followers get their heads out of their asses and team up with those who are in the know and fed up…” Seems to me that if 95% believe the opposite of you, then you are the one who is “ignorant, stupid, and pathetic”, and perhaps you should grab your ears and pull real hard…that popping sound will be the reversal or your anal-cranial inversion….

Amy Goodman has hosted Democracy Now for the last 10 years. Her station is aired in over 400 radio and TV stations all around the globe. She has hundreds of millions of loyal and dedicated listeners who tune in to hear her program every weekday, the War and Peace Report.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for Amy. She is one of the most unbiased and flawlessly objective reporters I have ever met in my life. Too, she is an exceptional intellectual with poise, grace and charisma. She will give you the hard-core facts which are all abundantly documented and well researched. You will never find in any of her programs propaganda. She will not sell you spin, lies, conjecture or any other form of media hype nonsense.

Amy has had guest speakers on her show from all walks of life including but not limited to:

 Political leaders from all over the world.
 Medical practitioners of all kinds.
     Scientists of all kinds.
     Engineers of all kinds.
     Teachers of all kinds.
     Environmentalists of all kinds.

     Inventors.
     CEOs of all kinds.
 Activists from all over the world.
     Lawyers of all kinds.
 Common lay people from all over the world.
 Musicians, Actors, and Producers from all over the world.
 Writers, publishers, and journalists from all over the world.
 Family practitioners from all over the world.
 Corporate practitioners of widely varying degrees and levels.
     Countless others.

For all of her programs on TV and\or the internet she has appropriate audio and\or video clips that support her headlines or stories. They are all the genuine articles.

You must be about as dumb as they come! Well let’s see, there was no imminent threat from Hitler, and look at what the panzies over in Europe did. Appeased him. Basically like you are wanting to do. I say we go over there, drop a nuke on these wanna be Islamic hardasses, and tell the rest of the world to buck up and start dealing with these militant extremists the way they should be dealt with. I don’t see spending $400,000,000 on two wars as keeping us on top. Soon Chinese want their money that financed these wars. And then your fat a$$es has to rent itself to pay them back.
Liberal or conservative the facts speak for themselves.
This idiot mortgaged our future to enrich Haliburton and the like.
The only reason we are in Iraq is to ensure future oil contracts. After the first Gulf war, Sadam gave all the oil contracts to the Russians, French, Germans, Dutch and Chines. American and British companies got zilch.
To get these contracts we have murdered thousands of Iraqies and Americans, sold our freedoms, live in fear and spy on each other.
Bush says he is protecting our freedoms. What for? We are not allowed to use them anyway.

  248. mr499927 says:

To 262, learn a thing or to from that biased fat ass michael moore. don’t think so. That fat ass couldn’t teach a kindergarden class to count. As far as Iran goes, those neandrethals fund hezbollah along with Syria which is a terrorist organization, which commits terrorist acts. So why don’t you start learning well know facts before you shot your liberal mouth off. Oh and if we want to be really picky lets go back to 1979 when they attacked our embassy and held our citizens hostage for over a year. You may need a HISTORY LESSON to REFRESH YOUR MEMORY! I don’t see your point…. oh what you just proved how much of a liberal ” I don’t have any guts” liberal you are.
As far as you go 263, the Chinese can kiss our asses. Those communist bastards don’t have any clue about monetary policy. If you knew anything, you would know that they purposely undervalue their currency so that it takes on less inflation which, means countries in Europe and the U.S. itself and bent over backwards and boned in the ass. Yes, I give China credit for their great manufacturing industry, but when their currency is finally valued right and inflation hits, its going to be a whole other story.

  249. mr499927 says:

262, Michael Moore is trash. As far as teach me anything, maybe something about cholestral and overeating. Nothing else. Iran has been funding Hezbollah which is a terrorist organization which commits terrorist acts. That in itself is a terrorist act. Also a little history lesson circa 1979 will teach you that the Iranian neandrethals are quite violent and extreme indeed. Remember, they over took our embassy and held the people captive for over a year. The current President of Iran was one of the people that help overthrow it. Don’t believe me, well they have pictures of him there in 1979. Great guy to elect President! You know he his so much better than Bush! haha. I would rather deal with Bush than have that Pshycopath as President. The only difference between Iran and most other terrorist groups is that Iran indirectly connected to acts of terrorism where as hezbollah or al qeada are directly involved and want everyone to know about it. Iran does not want that because they know that they would bombed back to the stone age…. which is really not that far back for them but….. the truth is the Iranians like to see how far they can push and they will just keep pushing until the world has enough. When that happens hopefully, in a twisted formof Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s words,” They will be wiped off the face of the Earth.”

    1998 by Claire Wolfe
In 1942, Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066, sending more than 110,000 people to relocation camps. Most of the internees were U.S. citizens. They were transported from temperate climates to the wind-wracked deserts of California, Arizona and Wyoming. The property they left behind was legally looted by their neighbors. They were shut within barbed-wire enclosures and bare, tar-paper barracks – all for the crime of having Japanese ancestry.

To this day, there are Americans who defend this internal deportation, saying, “It was for their own good,” or “They weren’t like us. They were loyal to their own kind.” The camps, they say, were necessary.

The question is – Is it about to happen again? Does the U.S. government have plans to round up some other group of citizens and lock them into bitter internment “for the duration” of some future emergency?

You are so naive. This country could fight a multi-front war against the entire world and win. Most of it could be done without putting a boot on the ground and without nuclear weapons. You have no idea how much military might this country would be capable of projecting in an all out war.

[...] Ok, so let me get this straight…. Bush invades Iraq, even though they had no nuclear weapons. Bush may be considering an attack on Iran because they are developing nuclear technology. North Korea has nuclear weapons and they’re planning to test them, yet Bush wants to continue with diplomatic talks to convince Pyongyang to give up those weapons. [...]

This type of news is entirely scripted for hypnotic suggestion. It is not news; it is the titalation of “special knowledge.”

Doesn’t the interviewer seem to you like he has a lot of understanding of war policy for someone whose lips will never utter the words, “911 is an inside job.”

NWO lets you the viewer know their plans so that they make sense and it must happen because you heard it was happening.

It is nothing less than the shaping of awareness.

  272. James says:

Also, I really want to bring to viewer’s attention, the interviewer’s use of the word ,”they” to describe Iranian people as if to suggest that “they” cannot be trusted.

It is about time we raise our internal bars as to who we give the authority to discuss such matters with sanity and free from corporate agenda.

  273. Lex says:

Apparently, the United States is contemplating a bombing mission in Iran before the elections in November. The focus of the bombing will most likely be Iran’s nuclear facilities. Certainly, the Republican position would be galvanized by such an opperation, but the political fallout in the region would hardly be worth a Republican victory. Regardless of which party controls the House or the Senate, it is a bad idea to aggravate this particular hornet’s nest without considering all possible implications. Some things should not be used for short-term political gain. Ever.

  274. Bush Rocks says:

Diplomacy can often be a shove the problem under the carpet tactic and hope it resolves itself. These muslim nations have clear goals to dominate and destroy all those who appose their fundamentalist ways. The only thing stopping them from overthrowing the lebanese government, building nuclear weapons, wiping out israel is fear israel and America will bite back hard. They are so obsessed with the fundamentalist views the only thing they understand is fear of retaliation. So thak God we have an American president with the balls to do what pencil pushing all talk and no action councils never do. Ask a muslim fundametalist who the last person he would vote for to be the american president. His answer should be your vote. He knows any other president would be to scared of ignorant youth and hippies of America screaming warmongerer without realising what we are dealing with.

How soon you all forget: Bill Clinton signed a large portion of our military over to the UN during his term. We are not fighting war in Iraq for America and Bush knows this. He is feeble in his attempt to give a reason why were in Iraq because he can’t divulge why 911 happened or why we went to war. The truth is that you can’t implement a world government while rogue nations are on the loose. Hence we needed to bring Iraq under control. Sadam Hussein is silly putty for the US but with the regional violence in Iraq, the UN couldn’t afford to risk the instability in the region. I believe there are 2 countries vying for the police arm of the World Federation of Earth and they are the US and Russia. My guess is that Russia is the nation to look out for. The US is probably more interested in isolating Russia than bringing democracy to iraq. Come to think about it: we’re not even a democracy and sure as hell don’t want to be one. we are a constitutional republic. What these neocons fail to realize is that on 911(whether they made 911 happen or not) they breached the contract(constitution) by not providing for a strong national defense. Because the contract was breached it has become null and void. What we all need to do is to study our individual state constitutions and look at the legality of a declaration of martial law(by the District of Columbia) on your own state as your state constitution has more power than the US Constitution as the US Constitution was established for only a few purposes; to provide for a strong national defense, to impose duties and levies, to mediate disagreements between the individual states, and to maintain civil order. In all instances the state constitution takes precedent over the US Constitution in matters of civil order, state law, et al. The US Constitutional structure of government is over the District of Columbia not the individual states. We need to fire the corporation in charge and start to reorganize our leadership

After the Cuban missile crisis (when i saw aircraft loaded with H bombs at the takeoff end of a SAC base runway in england) I got out of the military (after 8 years service) as a CO. If this shit actually happens, and it looks like it might, I think I’ll stay in China. They are many things, but they are not hypocrites.

    Population of Iraq 26 million
    Population of Iran 70 million
    Population of Afganistan 30million

Population of the Unites States 300million

Can you say Iran (moreover fanatical Islam) has made a BIG mistake? The USA is the proverbial hornets nest here. We’re pretty stirred up too. Whether you like the war or not we’re all stirred up. (Personally, I dont know how anyone could LIKE war).

The US and its NATO allies has got Iran, Iraq and Afganistan out gunned and out manned at least 2:1. I pray for peace soon. We should ALWAYS pray for peace. But G-d has blessed us with might and if nessecary we should use this might to secure peace. One world under the Kindgdom of G-d. Thats the vision of peace. No human leadership (therfore no human supression) and absolute tranquility under the Rule of G-d.

But lets be real. We’re far from a world full of Light. Even G-d knows theres a point (a very low point) in which man has to engage in war. We’re partners with the Almighty in securing the World to Come. Do you want a fundemental Islamic world to come? It’s a world still ruled by man. A world supressed by man. Its not any better than what we have (I suspect it would be worse).

As it says in Ecclesiastes Chapter 3:

“There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build.

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them; a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.

A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak.

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

What advantage has the worker from his toil?

I have considered the task which G-d has appointed for men to be busied about. “

Our Universal Father has asked us (Judeo-Christains, Muslims and pagans) to meet this conflict out here on earth. As the Book says, the time is set under heaven.

I pray: Heavenly Father render Your judgement through our hands swiftly and mercifully. May Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. May all the Righteous merit the days of peace, the Coming of the Messiah and Life in the World to Come. May those preoccupied with earthly gain and human suppression return to dust. May all corruption and political deviance be smited. Protect our families, our Nation and our soldiers. May your Name be Blessed by the Righteous on Earth. Amen.

I’m not blaming anyone. War is Hell. There’s no explaning the will of G-d since our free choice (and the choices of Islamic extremists) fulfills G-d’s will, whether we humanly like the outcome, or not.

May Peace be with you all.
