    Can you say…..”Flipp Flopp”??

  2. DrSinker says:

On the one hand, I think it is good news that the admin recognizes this is an issue they can’t just ignore.

On the other, I think it’s a disaster that the admin recognizes this is an issue they need to do something about.

  3. Jay Randal says:

Bush makes a u-turn on nothing! He will just claim falsely that he cares about global warming, so do NOT believe his lies on this dire subject!

  4. RealScientist says:

If Bush does flip-flop on this one, I can’t wait to hear the gnashing of teeth from boneheads Hendler and Hippie about how leftist extremists bullied Bush into it. Or whatever bizarre illogic they choose to present.

  5. Tobey+Tall says:

Its part of the ENDTIMERS game to go ahead with global warming, I wish all the ENDTIMERS would do us all a favour and shoot themselfs

I would highly recommend each individual changing their electric supplies to a green energy as I have Its actually cheaper also

  6. Publicus says:

I really don’t care what the President says about global warming. All his talk is BS. He swore he wouldn’t rest until he captured or killed bin Laden…and proceed to forget about the 9/11 killer for the next 5 years…

“The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him.”
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

“I am truly not that concerned about him.”- G.W. Bush, responding to a question about bin Laden’s whereabouts, 3/13/02

If he actually DOES something EFFECTIVE…give me a call.

In my area of the U.S., which in my electricity supplier’s words already has rates “among the highest in the nation”, we do have the ability to choose the generator (not the transmittor or distributor) and can choose from a list that includes a couple that are considered “clean & renewable” but….there’s a surcharge. As in – it costs more.

Considering that our electric bills have already risen more than 20% this year that’s a hard sell.

But your passion on the matter has me looking into it nonetheless. Thanks.

  8. Tobey+Tall says:

20% of Scotlands electric comes from Renewable sources, wind, wave and dams

by 2020 we have set in motion to 40% renewable sources but the lib dems want 100% renewables for 2020 ……beat that eh

By Looking at this map all the orange area is Lib Dems
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/default.stm

    Lib dems are great …

  9. Margaret says:

Tobey+Tall, I wish WE had “Lib Dems”! (sigh)

Even the ones that profess to be progressive supported Israel bombing the crap out of Lebanon. If there were any exceptions I didn’t hear about them.

btw – I love Scottish people. No wonder you’re so feisty. I used to watch every Bill Forsyth movie at least partly so I’d get to listen to those fantastic accents. But as my Scottish aunt says, “I don’t have an accent – YOU do!”

  10. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

His solution will be to cut down more trees since “trees cause pollution.”

  11. Margaret says:

Yeah Mr. Gore! Way to shape the conversation (and piss Rove off).

Us progressives need to do more of that. Less reacting to the crazy rightie agenda and define our own!

  12. Bill says:

So he’s finally thinking about turning the Titanic.
