September 18th, 2006 at 1:15 pmIn my area of the U.S., which in my electricity supplier’s words already has rates “among the highest in the nation”, we do have the ability to choose the generator (not the transmittor or distributor) and can choose from a list that includes a couple that are considered “clean & renewable” but….there’s a surcharge. As in – it costs more.
Considering that our electric bills have already risen more than 20% this year that’s a hard sell.
But your passion on the matter has me looking into it nonetheless. Thanks.

by 2020 we have set in motion to 40% renewable sources but the lib dems want 100% renewables for 2020 ……beat that eh

Even the ones that profess to be progressive supported Israel bombing the crap out of Lebanon. If there were any exceptions I didn’t hear about them.
btw – I love Scottish people. No wonder you’re so feisty. I used to watch every Bill Forsyth movie at least partly so I’d get to listen to those fantastic accents. But as my Scottish aunt says, “I don’t have an accent – YOU do!”
