In answer to an inquiry on whether he had accepted gifts from Jack Abramoff, White House political adviser Karl Rove simply replied, “afraid not.” The NYT reported this morning, “Rove and his aides sought Mr. Abramoff’s help in obtaining seats at sporting events, and that Mr. Rove sat with Mr. Abramoff in the lobbyist’s box seats for an N.C.A.A. basketball playoff game in 2002.”
“afraid” is more like it…be afraid, Rove, be very afraid…
September 29th, 2006 at 2:23 pmRove: Do “accepted gifts” mean hummers in the Lincoln Bedroom? Yes? Well then, afraid so.
September 29th, 2006 at 2:25 pmPerhaps Patrick Fitzgerald should think about bringing new charges against Rove.
September 29th, 2006 at 2:27 pmWhat did you expect from a Republican LIAR. How do these Republican sleep at night?
September 29th, 2006 at 2:28 pmRe: Fat Bastard Sir Rove. ( I don’t care if he loses 50 pounds, he’s a fat bastard) His “middle finger in your face repartee” is getting old. Very old indeed. I can’t wait to see what brand of “down” the universe will decide that Rove will experience….as in “what goes up must come down”
September 29th, 2006 at 2:28 pmIt’s not if, it’s when. That’s how it works fatty
Still no thread about the Senate’s approval of Bush’s Torture Bill.
Must not be that important for a left-wing liberal web-site. Why is this site starting to feel like a psy-op?
September 29th, 2006 at 2:30 pmwow, “afraid not” a non denial denial not resembling an actual denial denial
September 29th, 2006 at 2:31 pmi have to stop, i am in denial
Uncle Karl: “Really, I think you need to define the parameters and context of what you mean by ‘gift.’ “
September 29th, 2006 at 2:44 pmOff topic, but I just read a story on how the deficit will be around 60 billion less than predicted and the administration will use this as a triumph of policy. Only problem they had to “borrow” the 177 billion surplus from the Social Security Fund. Funny how Repugs say that the SS Fund is going bankrupt when they are the ones plundering it to make themselves look good in the short term. If they left it alone it would be profitable. If they didn’t have it now they would be in the hole even deeper.
On topic: Rove is a puss-sac.
September 29th, 2006 at 2:47 pmlink to #9.
September 29th, 2006 at 2:51 pmNot that I approve of any of this, so dont take this the wrong way, but apparently Rove was going to pay for those, so I dont know if it is a gift. But the fact that the administration tried to cover up the contacts, is what really bothers me. They just cant seem to deal with reality and let us know the truth – we have to dig for months, and then get some half-assed denials. Geez…
September 29th, 2006 at 2:54 pmOnly Republicans would have the audacity to tout a $60 billion decrease in the deficit after raising the deficit to $8 1/2 trillion. LOL!!!
September 29th, 2006 at 3:08 pm“Afraid not.â€
Well, I guess that settles that. No reason to pursue this any further. We have Karl’s word on it.
Bwaaa-haa-haa-ha!
September 29th, 2006 at 3:12 pmok….how about ‘gifts,favors,kickbacks,sex,policial advantage…etc’?????…and a YES OR NO answer.
September 29th, 2006 at 3:21 pmThose requesting information on choice, recently aquired oceanfront property in Arizona, please contact Mr. Karl Rove. He will arrange all sales and necessary paper work. Mr. Rove must insist that clients only visit the property after the sale is complete due to the need for secrecy in the ongoing war on terror.
September 29th, 2006 at 3:34 pmSomeone told me Rove’s mother committed suicide. I know, here comes the jokes, but seriously that explains a lot. Even Karl wasn’t enough for mom to want to live. And the other message his mom sent is, that life sucks and isn’t worth living.
Apparently Bush’s sister died of Lukemia when he was a boy, and never has greived it.
They are part of the 1/3 of mentally ill people in this country.
September 29th, 2006 at 4:07 pmWhy does the populace continue to allow people like pig face to blatanly lie in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary? Maybe its the sheer volume of lies makes it difficult to pin any of them down on one.
September 29th, 2006 at 4:08 pmBuzzbomb,
Yes I have considered that the full throttle shit stream constantly pounding down on the population is overwhelming. I have days it seems to be just too much. It’s a full time job staying on top of it all, as I am sure TP knows all about. Also there is so much lying going on people feel there can’t possibly be that many lies coming out so much. It’s surely part of the strategy to bury us in information, like burying someone with paperwork, I have done it.
September 29th, 2006 at 4:16 pmRove’s jowls are beginning to look more like the recently retired Exxon CEO. Fitzgerald really let the American people down.

September 29th, 2006 at 4:33 pmTHAT WAS YESTERDAYS NEWS. CHECK OLD POSTS
link to #9. – - I’m done with Truthout News ever since they ran the story about Rove actually being indicted and then not backing off from it.
September 29th, 2006 at 4:45 pm#16…this could explain his food addiction.
September 29th, 2006 at 4:58 pmRove is a spent puff-ball on the underbelly of decayed vegetation.

September 29th, 2006 at 5:10 pmdon’t get your hopes up like you did in the cia leak case.
September 29th, 2006 at 10:04 pmIt’s time for Democrats to swiftboat Karl Rove untill he is forced to flee from Washington, DC, forever! He is a horribly vile person and putrid too!
