Well, for the record, my take on this is that Foley is a vile and odious human being; morally depraved pervert who should be investigated by the House and the FBI. If anyone in the House leadership knew of his sexually explicit e-mails to teenage pages and did nothing, they should step down.

Need to get back to the Democrats main message: Republican’s cronyism, corruption, incompetence, and trashing of the Constitution.

There are several issues that have occurred that had caused the shift including….

1. “Path to 9-11″ resulting in Bill Clinton defending his own record on Chris Wallace’s program. Although Bill’s assertion is correct, all that a certain 30% of Americans see out of this interview is a red faced BC wagging his finger and lecturing — same image as “I did not have sexual …..”. It also did not help that Hillary came out in his defense.

After eight long years of his presidency, a lot of people hate the sight of Bill and Hillary Clinton. This is the same as we’ll feel (and already do) about GWB after eight years of his pouting, and arrogance, and head thrusts (yuck).

As much as someone needed to defend his administration’s actions, it should not have been him; it needed to be Richard Clarke or someone more neutral. It brought the focus back to “who’s responsible for not getting Bin LAden pre-9-11″ instead of what to do now about terrorism. THe amount of focus on this issue detracted from what is effective for progressives in the campaign.

OK let’s now put BC back to work on humanitarian roles, but get him out ofthe public eye OR the Repub Revolution people will reappear.

2. THe barrage of bills recently passed solidify the Republican base, as stupid or ineffective or flawed or racist or Unconstitutional or Jingoistic as they may be.

3. They have been (once again) been able to paint Liberals as terrorist lovers and weak on terror. How, because we cannot seem to elicit a clear concise vision here, it works every time. Also it works because (ala Goerring), when called unpatriotic the Democrats just fall into line – no spine, no courage, too much covering one’s own heiny.

Do you mean to tell me that we can’t come up with an effective way to handle terrorism without looking weak? We can’t present this as effective sound bites? It has been freaking 5 years!!! What the hell is the Democratic Leadership doing?

Once again – got to get back to the Republican cronyism, incompetence, and now coverup message.

I brought out the G.O.P.arrot to extol the talking point of the Reichwing.
But ChiChiHuaHua, spelled out the differences between Foley and Clinton.

Sheesh, there are soooooo many scandals to cover, makes it real hard to focus on just one.
But it seemed to me that Foley was an important topic to cover. So, he became the focus of my blog today.
