Washington Times to call for Hastert’s resignation,
according to Drudge. From the 10/3/06 edition: “House Speaker Dennis Hastert must do the only right thing, and resign his speakership at once… Mr. Hastert has forfeited the confidence of the public and his party, and he cannot preside over the necessary coming investigation, an investigation that must examine his own inept performance…”

Okay, I’ll talk about, Mark Foley. Mark Foley is a homophobic, closeted homosexual. Homophobic, closeted homosexuals generally find sexual expression difficult. They’re not calling X on the phone for a date, attending a PFLAG dinner, or volunteering at the local GLBT organization. Unfortunately, boys, public restrooms, and saunas are all too often their preferred arenas for sexual release.
Same-sex marriage unites voters in a very negative way. Consequently, the electorate is paying a heavy, heavy, heavy price. Same-sex marriage is not threat to family values.

Yeah, Foley, he is a sorry scumbag and he deserves to have his own law applied to him. Looks like he will end up with alot of charges on him. Lots of years if they don’t end up covering it up. Hasert has sure been trying, secret Republican only meeting about the pages.

Jeez, I hope you didn’t take my post that way. I was simply stating that I’m a good shot. But I shoot at targets. I don’t hunt, and I don’t really care to — but if you do, then it doesn’t bother me. As for shooting another person — it would only happen out of defense — not anger.
I was recently a victim of armed robbery here in New Orleans. I was beaten by two of the men. I have felt for some time now, that something large and damaging is coming for the current administration. I suspect that there are many people who are quietly doing what you describe, in their own way. Perhaps the events of this last week are the beginning of the end for those who would destroy our country.

Foley will provide an excellent bit of rhetorical shelter for flat-daddy conservatives; they can use it to rationalize their coming defeat at the polls, and as an excuse to jump ship.

Hmmm…I’ve always wondered if the owner of that low circulation rag, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon ever forces his opinion into the editorial opinion. In this case I think it might be possible, afterall he thinks he’s the return of the savior. I would think a returned savior might be upset about a pedaphile and those who would cover up that crime.
The largest crap coming from some on the right, is to dredge up past Democrat similar episodes as the Foley deal. It is so beside the point and a purposeful change the subject. Whatever happened to “two wrongs don’t make a right?” What about being responsible for oneself? What about ethics? What about cleaning up your own house before criticizing others home?
October 3rd, 2006 at 9:31 amLet me make a prediction I’d hate to happen. Foley will win his election. Although he has resigned, his name will still be on the ballot. The Repugs have replaced him and that guy will be the winner in that Florida district.
Why do I believe the Foley name will still win? Stupid voters. Far too many idiots walk into a voting booth and check the party line. I wish there was going to be an exit poll in that district that asked Republicans voters if they voted for Foley and if they even knew that Foley had resigned and why he did. I’m betting that poll would show how stupid many Republican voters really are.
