  1. Bruce+Gorton Says:

America was fine with Bush shooting the puppy, but now the corpse is beginning to stink a bit.

  2. JesusChrist_GodOfWAR Says:

Good. People may be waking up.

    Keep the pressure on.

The Truth is important. It helps people lead better lives. It helps people live in hope and love, and not in abject fear (as ReichWingNuts would have it).

  3. Punky Says:

    Funny.
100% of the rest of the world thinks that.

  4. john Says:

the other 41% are braindead spending to much time with the idiots in fantasy land

  5. fnordboy Says:

“But guys like us; we don’t pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in “reality.” And reality has a well-known liberal bias.”

    - S. Colbert

  6. eternal springs Says:

This sounds like a job for DIEBOLDMAN!

  7. Ajay Says:

Red state idiots seem to have little bit of brain. Very doubtful but possible or may be the they are figuring that Bush is not really related to Jesus.

    Ajay

  8. Xbot Says:

Punky: Define ‘rest of the world’.

To a liberal, the rest of the world means all outside the United States, factually. ie, if it’s on a map and not in the United States, it’s part of ‘The rest of the World’

To a conservative, the rest of the world doesn’t exist. There are just other places that should be ours but we let people govern.

  9. Unholy+Moses Says:

Finally … the American public is beginning to wake up from their collective daze.

Now, let’s all pray to whatever god or gods exist the Diebold doesn’t give another election to the G(r)OPers.

  10. paul Says:

the headline should have read: “Mainstream media’s attack on the Bush Administration is working.”

  11. wisedup Says:

the 41% couldn’t talk, but they wagged their tails while eating grass and waiting to have their wool removed.

  12. Texas+Juice Says:

    THATS ALL!!!

Well hopefully more folk will wake up. Why can’t they beleive this man (the Chimp in Chief) is a liar? He isn’t even a real conservative. Rednecks and po’ white folk that support Bush wouldn’t if he were a real conservative. Instead he is a LIAR, he talks the talk and then lives as a rich powerful guy who has no real intrest in NASCAR Larry, other than his vote. This cretin went to Iraq for oil, that Texas tea was and is more important to him than getting Bin Laden. Democracy in Iraq was a smoke screen. Like they care if Arabs live in democracy, just give us the OIL! WAKE UP RED STATES! NO TRANS TEXAS CORRIDOR! Did I cover most of IT? I am just sooooo pissed…

  13. SpudgeBoy Says:

So, 58% of people believe Bush DELIBERATLEY misled us into Iraq.

How many of the 41% believe Bush unknowingly misled us into Iraq?

I am going to go with 7%. Bringing the Bushbots to their regular 34%.

  14. budpaul Says:

Great to here, now if you actually think that Iraq and Bush are a huge cluster, than you must vote for Dems this November. A poll is one thing, translating it into votes for Dems (or against the GOP) is another.
    America’s Least Wanted

  15. SpudgeBoy Says:

the headline should have read: “Mainstream media’s attack on the Bush Administration is working.”

And you forgot “and it’s about frickin’ time”

  16. Marie Says:

#1, Interesting analogy - accurate and descriptive.

  17. pnac Says:

About 30-35% still believe that Saddam had WMDs…so that propaganda really stuck into peoples minds.

    The most important news atm:

Will Americans Seek Repeal Of Constitution Killing Enabling Act?
    http://prisonplanet.com/ articles/ october2006/ 031006seekrepeal.htm

  18. Daryll Says:

That poll is a conspiracy. I believe a few progressives completed the poll twice to increase the percentage and smear the republican party. Shame on the democrats.

  19. Marie Says:

That means there are still 41% who can’t bring themselves to read and educate themselves.
The European percentage is likely 98%.
Wonder what the worldwide percentage is who believe Bush deliberately misled us into war — about 90%? I am accounting for 10% who have no access to food much less newspapers.

  20. Hastert+Hearts+Pedophiles Says:

Hahahaha! Is this indicative of how the Republicans are winning the public opinion battle over Iraq? Pretty funny stuff, looks like Americans don’t agree.

  21. JW Says:

who in the F is the other 42%

  22. cynic Says:

58% - believe the Bush administration has deliberately misled the American public about the war in Iraq

33% - believe the Bush administration accidently misled the American public about the war in Iraq

8% - believe the Bush administration was deliberately misled by the American public about the war in Iraq

1% - think we should have attacked Grenada again

  23. Newprog Says:

    #18

Aren’t you one of those cons who keep telling us to stop believing in “conspiracies”. Oh well just had to get my 2 cents in…

  24. Texas+Juice Says:

If the MSM is soooo left-wing can they please smear the GOP 24/7. Don’t stop, don’t look back, talk about fair play… Looks like they are pretty lame when it comes to standing up to the GOP….They sure did not spare any resources bashing Clinton or the Dems during the late 90’s. MSM being left is BS, at least they are not far left, maybe just left of center.

    Texas Juice

  25. Ronin_Tetsuro Says:

    58%?

Yeah, if we had the kind of media coverage of the war that the rest of the world had, it might be a higher percentag…OOOO LOOK DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SEASON PREMIER!

    Wake up, people.

  26. bs Says:

the sheeples are waking up, finally.

  27. lunch Says:

Daryll (#18) - “That poll is a conspiracy. I believe a few progressives completed the poll twice to increase the percentage and smear the republican party. Shame on the democrats. ”

Gosh - thanks for the heads up Daryll! I just know in my heart that our GOP congress isn’t bad, why, they’re just ‘overly friendly’, no shame in that!

  28. bs Says:

it would probably be more if our msm wasn’t bias and cherry picked information that would best suit the republicons. when anything negative would come up they would either pull it after one viewing or not view it at all.

  29. marcus+robinson Says:

What’s up with the other 42%???

  30. paul Says:

#29. the other 41% understand that just because you believe (just like kerry, gore, bill and hillary clinton and the u.n. and virtually everyone else at the time) that saddam has wmd, but fail to find them; you can be wrong with out being deliberately misleading.

  31. Nova16 Says:

If these idiots–the 41% are still backing staying the course in the Iraqi debacle, then they should pay all costs and reparations sqaundered by their “leader”in this meaningless war. The terrible results of this unfortunate, meaningless war must be borne by those who keep this phony venture alive. The rest of us want no part of the killing, maiming and looting of the treasury for the lies of Bush, Cheney and the neocons whose lies were for the purpose of war mongering and profiteering. Bush’s mistakes are many and varied. He will “stay the course” because if he admits the biggest mistake of all–the invasion and destruction of Iraq, he and the corrupt republican congress will all have to flee to Mexico.

  32. paul Says:

#31. you pay for all the failed social programs of the great society and we’ll pay for iraq.

  33. pnac Says:

You only need to look up these things to know that the Iraq war is based on bogus threats
    1. PNAC (+to lesser extent AEI)
    2. Downing Street Memos
    3. Office of special plans
    4. Cheney’s energy task force
    5. Neocon quotes such as Wolfowitz: “Let’s look at it simply. The most important difference between North Korea and Iraq is that economically, we just had no choice in Iraq. The country swims on a sea of oil.”
    6. Leo Strauss

More here, top 40 lies: http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0730-06.htm

  34. Karim Says:

While I am happy to see the more Americans seeing the light, I want to know id the remaining 41% need some kind of recto-cranial operation.

  35. Margaret Says:

Paul you just don’t give up do you?

I do not recollect the UN thinking that Iraq had WMD - I certainly didn’t.

I suspect that a lot of lawmakers didn’t either. I chalk it down to fear of being tarred and feathered if they didn’t go along. I sure wish more people in power had some guts.

p.s. you can be “misleading” and then again you can LIE!!! That’s what they (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al) did.

  36. NewProg Says:

    Margaret, excellent post

Could not agree more! Hey Paul are you blaming world problems on welfare and foodstamps? Well I guess in your world they are but on earth they help people in bad situations survive. Of course you do not understand what it means to be poor cuz yer 6 figure makin parents spoiled you to death…

  37. jake3988 Says:

Good. People may be waking up.
    Comment by JesusChrist_GodOfWAR — October 3, 2006 @

People waking up? It was at 40% who thought we were misled. We’re at 41% now. Its not looking good.

The fact that more than 0% said no shows how screwed up this country is.

Nor does it matter what people think. Its been proved he didn’t have WMD, its been PROVEN he had no connection with Osama and Al-Qaeda. Its been proven we’re breeding terrorism over there and making it worse.

What more needs to happen to jar those 41% into reality?

  38. Sharon Cox Says:

Premtive war started and run by bull shit bush and his evil war mongers has taken the live’s of 12 soldiers already this month and it’s only Oct,3…Untill their own loose blood these people in office will never stop their madness….Stop the madness voter’s…Vote all Rep’s out and then try all these people for war crimes……Blessings

  39. Margaret Says:

Why thank you NewProg! You’re new here aren’t you? I’ve been reading posts on this site for awhile, but recently became too angry to contain myself any longer.

I always wonder what economic bracket Republicans are in. The ones in the higher brackets are somewhat understandable (the ones without consciences anyway) for obvious reasons (their interests are generally served handsomely). But it’s the ones that are not so well off that I never understand. Because if they did any research…

  40. Nova16 Says:

Paul: Some social programs did benefit some Americans–they were well intentioned. Corporate welfare was also a part of the Agenda-Chrylser then-now its Raytheon, GE, Halliburton War Corporation etc., etc., etc. The billions squandered in a meaningless war with benefit to no one except war mongerers and profiteers can not be supported unless you are a war mongerer or profiteer then you should be in jail.

  41. ForTruth Says:

Numbers still aren’t good enough, still way too many people uninformed.

  42. Bluedog49 Says:

Paul: “you pay for all the failed social programs of the great society and we’ll pay for iraq.”

Paul, unless you’ve been in a dark hole for a few years, you should know that our children and grandchildren will pay for Iraq. Bush is the first leader in the history of civilization to cut taxes during a war.

  43. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

This is one reason I don’t trust polls like this. First of all, it’s asking for an opinion, not a statement of fact. Most people are too ill-informed to be answering opinion poll questions. And second, it’s the percentages. According to whoever’s been smoking this poll, all but 1% of the nation had an answer on this question? I mean, on an issue where the White House has done everything they can to hide the truth from the American people, doesn’t anyone else think it strange that only one percent of the people didn’t have an opinion? Considering just how hard it must be for some people to know what the truth uis (we know they lied), I would expect the number of “Don’t Knows” to be much higher than one percent.

  44. Paul+Jackson Says:

    re: 43.

Yeah, but the polls are just about as trustworthy as the elections booths which are filled with those same ill-informed populace. It’s not the facts that matter, it’s the prevailing mood of the populace at the moment the vote happens to be taken…

I’m glad the truth is finally starting to sink in a little bit.

  45. Dangerous Intersection » Blog Archive » 58% of Americans say Bush lied about Iraq Says:

[…] 58 percent of Americans believe Bush administration has deliberately misled the American public about the war in Iraq, according to a new CNN poll.   The comments regarding this poll on Think Progress are well worth a visit.            […]

  46. Vince Says:

I agree with all the people who commented that it’s basically unbelievable that so many people could still not know the truth about the lies of Bush, his administration, and a good portion of the Republican party members. I’ve been bewildered for 6 years now. Some of my friends and family members are still in this group. Most of them are single issue voters like “Bush is against abortion or gay marriage”

  47. Two Step George Says:

    Listen Guys & Gals,

George and Co. will just rig this election like they have the previous ones.

Sorry, the repugs will keep control of the house and the senate from 2006 and beyond.

It sure is a nice thought that there could possibly be a truthful election in the U.S. but, let us all face the DIEBOLD facts. It’s rigged…. Get over it.

Welcome to the NWO of the Ruling Family’s of America.

George W. Bush the First U.S. Dictator.

    War Power’s Act.

    Republican Control of Congress.

    The War President.

It all adds up. George is not leaving office in 2009.

    Good Bye Lady Liberty.

    Good Bye Democracy.

“Democracy, It was a nice experiment while it lasted” General Tommy Franks 2003.

  48. SpudgeBoy Says:

#31. you pay for all the failed social programs of the great society and we’ll pay for iraq.

Dummy, Iraq is the worlds largest social program. If you were a real conservative you would know that.

  49. SpudgeBoy Says:

What more needs to happen to jar those 41% into reality?

Nothing will fix these people. They are waiting for the rapture to come and take them away. They want war in the middle east, because they think it will bring about the rapture. The problem with this theory is that there is supposed to be PEACE in the middle east for 1000 years before the rapture happens.

  50. Eargy Earp Says:

#47. Wouldn’t be at all surprising.

It seems that things have got to get a hell of alot worse before most in the Democrat party and leadership grow some balls. One thing is for sure, call any congress-person weak on terror and you can get him or her to cave (for the most part). Hell, they haven’t even been threatened by the Brownshirts with their lives yet…..or locked up as “enemies”. But now can be according to the bills passed by House and Senate last week.

Full open dictatorship……well maybe even that isn’t enough to wake the scared bastards the Freak up! DeFacto we are almost there now.

    Zeig Heil!

  51. Eargy Earp Says:

    Sorry, wrong vowel arangement.

  52. Wayne Braffman Says:

So maybe now is the time for this anti-Bush anti-war political ad:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3A91svNB8c

  53. Dave Says:

I read a statistic that about 1/3 of Americans still believe that we were correct to go to war in Iraq, and that by all accounts the war is going well.

Another statistic states that 1/3 of Americans believe that the Bush administration planned and executed 9/11.

I’m assuming that there is no overlap between these two groups, but this basically means that only 1/3 of the American people are firmly planted in reality. If you are part of that 1/3, please acknowledge. I’m getting a little depressed.

  54. AAS Says:

Yeah bush has one thing and just keep blaming things on bin laden and other idiot who know if they ever exist or not. bin laden is just a charachter used by bush and corporate america to keep threatening american for their own benefit and we all fell for his jokes. LIER LIER LIER and the media helps him keep that lie.

  55. Dog named Boo Says:

    G(r)OPers.
    Heh GrOPes

    I never thought I would miss Milhouse…

  56. Adam Says:

Can someone please explain to me why the impeachment process was so quick when Pres. Clinton decided to lie about his “sexual relations with that woman”,
and yet our current bumbling commander-in-chief, can:

    1. Ignore intelligence that could have prevented the greatest tragedy ever to occur on our
    soil.

    2. Use this great tragedy, and deceive us with fictitious “weapons of mass destruction”

    3. Award his cronies “no bid” “cost +10%” contracts

    4. Create more terrorists than he ever destroyed

    5. and have no plan what so ever, to extract us from the quagmire he has created,
where human lives are laid on the line every single day.

    Without Recourse of any KIND!?!?!?!

So I guess in America we are trying to say it is worse to get a BJ, than to have the blood of many staining your hands.

  57. Dog named Boo Says:

“Each Tax Paying Family owes the U.S. Government - $183,621.28 to pay off the national debt”

-Heckuva Job Dubya, way to go GrOPes!

  58. Jakob Trconic Says:

We the US Taxpayers paid 75 million for the new Iraq police headquarters to a no bid contractor linked to the Republicans and Haliburton. Sewage leaks through the ceiling the building is falling apart and it is brand new. It will most likely be torn down. They spent 200 million taxpayers dollars to reconnect an oil line through a river and the job was so poorly thought out that it went into major cost over runs and I do not believe the project was completed. We are spending billions of our dollars with no bids and no accountability. Iraq has oil, why aren’t they paying for all of this or is BushCo tapping that and lining their pockets even more? This has to stop we are being plundered. Bush even said on live tv Iraq had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction. Why do 40% still not believe it?

  59. Casey Kochmer Says:

None of this makes any difference. The United States is at war, thousands of our troops dead, ten of thousands of Iraqi’s dead. All over lies. More blood doesnt cover a lie, it just makes a bigger lie to cut deeper wounds and spout more blood.

Blood continues to spill and we dig graves each and every day for the sake for freedom which is being removed at home to protect us from terrorism. We are now responsible for generating the terror which we hide from.

9/11 was 5 years ago and the death of everyone in these wars do not solve the problems from 9/11 or bury the 9/11 victims in peace.

So go ahead take polls and point fingers.

The only way to fight terrorism is by peace and removing fear.

As long as those in power profit from war, it wont stop. No matter what the polls say. NO matter how you feel. Only action makes the difference, action not of guns but of caring.

Take power by just being yourself. Let the world sort itself out, as we help each other up and out of fear, with actions of a helping hand.

We tried being tough, its got us a war we can never win, why not now try : Peace and Freedom
    Casey

  60. zpr10 Says:

How can you possibly say such evil things about George Bush? He believes in Jesus and no one would believe in Jesus and do such foul things!

God has told me that this war must be. Vote republican!!

  61. Dog+named+Boo Says:

Can someone please explain to me why the impeachment process was so quick when Pres. Clinton decided to lie about his “sexual relations with that woman”,
and yet our current bumbling commander-in-chief, can’t.

He’s the decider dint ua know? Scandal man is gonna show up if yall dont be quiet and just move on to the next scandal, look over there! Bill Clinton!!

  62. Dog+named+Boo Says:

58% wow that is the same that dubyas blood alcohol level was.

  63. Adam Says:

Our “so-called” leader seems to understand the power of money,
so by not using peaceful trade embargos to stop funding the terrorists,
he has left evidence of the fact that he really never wanted to stamp out terrorism.

  64. Bastet Says:

Get out with your neighbors on Thursday October 5, and PROTEST and drive out the Bush Regime!!

    http://www.worldcantwait.org/

There are over 175 cities demonstrating, your fellow Americans WILL BE OUT THERE!! As it stands now we as Americans still have the right to protest and thousands and thousands will be out doing it while we still can.
Go to the website, it’s really interesting to read, you’ll learn a lot AND you’ll find out where the protests are being held near you!

  65. SKdeA Says:

    Hi Margaret -
The poor republicans are the one’s who won’t or can’t read and think for themselves (way too scary for them). Wish the Rapture would take them away.

  66. JPV Says:

Is it me, or are the same damned polls posted every few weeks with more or less the same results?

    What’s the point?

  67. Matt Says:

Yeah, check out these misleading and *under-reported* comments:

    http://www.freedomagenda.com/iraq/wmd_quotes.html

    Amazing.

  68. grr74 Says:

How exactly is this good news??? What about the remaining nitwits???

  69. jackjeff Says:

Yeah right. What happened to the freedom fries? They were right after all… no weapon of mass destruction, no link with Al Qaede (that is before the invasion).. What a waste of money, now even Iran is making fun of the situation: “hey look.. can’t touch me. i’m building nuclear weapons. hihi.. can’t touch me. you morons are stuck in iraq”

  70. James Says:

You PPL all are nuts. Bush is doing a wonderful job on his own. We should egg these morons/neocons on so that the grave they are digging gets deeper and deeper. All this is about is to grab the votes of people in the middle. Jus keep the current juicy scandal alive til the next one falls in your lap.

  71. John H. Says:

Bush, Cheney, Haliburton, the Carlyle Group, Kissinger and a swarm of mega sized defence contractors are the only ones who have seen a benefit from the War on Terror.

Americans are his pawns in combat or are squeezed financially to line the pockets of the elite. Democracy for Islam via killing the constitution at home … Bin Laden is in Afganistan … let’s bomb Iraq … war is peace … peace is war … we’ve always been at war with Eurasia. It’s 1984 a decade or two late!

W’s grand-daddy, Preston, the Nazi’s War Machine Banker would be proud of how well little Georgie has done with so to work with.

  73. RB Says:

The 41% that said that Bush did not lie are lying themselves or just to ignorant to even have a say in our government. The liars are just too proud to admit that Bush is an atrocity to this nation and to the world. The ignorant ones probably don’t even have access to unbiased news.

  74. Crash Says:

    I’m surprised it’s that close!

The war was a complete waste of time.

    WMDs… none.
    Bin Laden…. nope!
Al Qaeda… still going strong and bombing the world.

Ok, Saddam was caught… big deal! The man was a joke and his trial is a farce.

    Please wake up.

  75. GARY WINEGAR Says:

I can believe that 40% still don’t believe that Bush deceived us. What kind of media do they listen to?

  76. Noel Says:

THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS A COWARD!! U.S. INVADED IRAQ BECAUSE OF WMD, BUT THEY KNOW IT FIRST THAT WMD IN IRAQ IS NOT REAL AND THEY CAN ATTACK IRAQ ANYTIME BECAUSE AMERICANS KNOW THAT IRAQ CANNOT FIGHTBACK, THEY JUST WANT TO REMOVE SADDAM AND STEAL THE RESOURCES OF IRAQ, NOW NORTH KOREA HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS, WHY THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT DONT WANT TO ATTACK NORTH KOREA?? BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID THAT NORTH KOREA CAN STRIKE BACK RIGHT?! WHAT A COWARD COUNTRY…. THIS COMMENT IS SPREADING IN OUR COUNTRY, IN THE PHILIPPINES… I HOPE MANY AMERICAN SOLDIERS DIE IN IRAQ, BECAUSE YOUR TROOPS ARE MISBEHAVING THATS WHY THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS OF IRAQ ATTACK THEM…

I LOVE AMERICANS BECAUSE YOUR CULTURE IS VERY FRIENDLY, BUT I REALLY HATE YOUR GOVERNMENT AND YOUR SOLDIERS, BECAUSE OF ABUSING THEIR POWER…

  79. Curt from Houston Says:

“58% of Americans Now Believe Bush Deliberately Misled Us Into War.”

That may be true but this is probably the same 58% of Americans who couldn’t tell you who was president of the US during the Civil War or locate themselves on a map of the world.

  80. Margaret Says:

Noel, you sound very angry. A lot of us here are also angry and are trying our best to rally our fellow citizens so that we can replace those that got us into this mess.

We certainly don’t want any more soldiers to die. We here also don’t want to see any more civilians die. We want our soldiers to come home and the Iraqi people to find a way to live together peacefully.

  81. ratface Says:

U.S.A kills to make the few rich, thats how it is thats how it alway will be as long as we let the Henery Kissingers of the world tell the leaders what to do. I dont think he was ever elected by anyone. He and his kind are apointed to become Billionairs at the expense of the poor and unaware people. Drugs, and oil = cash and USA will fight to keep control for its Blessed few. George W, is a stooge that has never done an honest days work.

  82. Anita Bongtoke Says:

The only surprising thing about this poll is that some people dont think he lied.. these are the same people who would blast a democrat, call him a liar, demand impeachment, if the Democrat acted the same as the Criminals, I mean present regime….. Repubs/Dems, same shit, just pushed into 2 different piles……… Of course he lied, they are lying about 911 too… It was a self inflicted wound… we did it to further our agenda……… funny how history repeats itself, yet no one notices.. 911 WILL BE EXPOSED AS A LIE…. sooner or later….

  83. John Says:

In the last days, right will become wrong and wrong will become right. It is amazing to watch this happening today. Where is the cry for holiness!!! What is so wrong with loving you neighbor as yourself. Doing good. We have lost our way!! All of the corruption in Wash. ( both partys) the greed. It is going to be our downfall. ( I am not a Repub. I am a libertarian. I don’t believe that Religion should be forced on anyone. Jesus didn’t force anyone to believe. But I do believe the bible is absolute truth and see nothing wrong with expressing that view. I mean what is so bad about saying the “If you believe on Jesus you will be saved. No hell! )

This war was a bad mistake. I don’t think Bush is a bad guy, but stubborn to a fault. I hope we just get out of there soon.

  84. ratface Says:

What amazes is that we people on this planet are all alone in th universe as far as we as Humans know. I mean to say nothing, and noplace to run to. yet we spend all the resourses we have trying to commit suicide we have built NUKES, and put them in the hands of fiends we are HI-Tech Nianderthals I believe. How many of us running around with cell phones even know how they work. We as people are ungreatful for the total anomalily we call life. We as people allow our planet to be destroyed by nianderthals that have thier fingers on buttons that will end it all and all we call life. It would be sad if anyone or anything living were to survive. It all seems a bit ridiculous when I see People like Bush, say that some people hate freedom. Last I heard Norway way still free and never Attacked, these lies are told by ignorant people. We as listeners must have forgot what words mean to accept this kind of rederic. All of us are on this ride called life, none of us have the right to depirve others of the joy of living. We have let others convince us that we need protection, and they are here to do that. As I see it Mother Nature is the only one that has that right. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if she threw a star at us and it hit some of our wonderful Nuke fields. I guess someday it will happen and nobody will ever cry again.

  85. Margaret Says:

ratface - I was depressed too when I heard the Kissinger was involved in the Iraq war planning. The guys pulling the strings now are basically the sames ones that were doing it since the 70’s! When will we learn?!

  86. Lilah Says:

Anyone remember the poll from some time ago (years) where a majority of Americans said that IF Bush deliberately lied to lead us into Iraq that he ought to be impeached?

Seems like when you put that and this together you end up with a heck of a lot of people who think impeachment is a good idea….

  87. ratface Says:

Yes Margaret, I was watching the Tele in Budapest the other day in My Hotel when I saw Kissingers kind Face being Interveiwed again by Wolf Blister. He was saying that he speaks to the President 2 or 3 times a month because they are such good friends. Also speaks to Cheney as about as much. When ask if he advises them he said NO. As far as I know this is the same unelected SOB that put Pinochet in Power in Chile, and advise Johnson to keep Bombing North Vietnam, and Cambodia till we ran out of Bombs. When I was there last year I was told that about 45,000 people have died since the war fron un-exploded bombs. Thanks to his wonderful old Greedy Hyde that CNN cant seem to get enough of. Its a shame that all the smartest guys seemed to be greedy and heartless aswell. I guess we should keep the faith anyway NO CHOICE.

  88. Anita+Bongtoke Says:

The partisan blinders have to be stripped down… we need to wake up and see reality… Is our government corrupt? Do they act in our best intrests? Do they create problems only to look as though they can solve them? I think we need to tear it down, and start anew…. all these mug faced liars need to be held accountable, for war crimes, treason etc…. PNAC had the new Pearl Harbor, 911 was an inside job, the mulitiple wars on mulitple fronts they wrote about is coming to pass….. more lives lost, more blood spilled, not in the name of protecting freedom, but in the name of greed…. and control……

  89. ratface Says:

YES I think that only a few of the Polly-tick-cow$ have ever had any thoughts deeper then thier pockets. Oh I guess thats not true sometimes visions of Pages dance in thier heads. 911 only are hairdresser, and real close friends knows FOR SURE

  90. ratface Says:

Does anyone remember fraggelrock, when they needed advise they called on the Garbage heap. I Think thats how we do it to as the doesers only we dont have a garbage heap so we chose the next best thing Henery Kissinger ???

  91. Margaret Says:

Now there’s a legacy for ya!

Also, isn’t he with the Carlyle Group? War-profiteers. Yeah that’s who you want running things. Gee what a shock they started a big never-ending war…..

  92. ratface Says:

Yes and if you read his Bio, on the net you would think he was a boy scout. Why cant people know the truth ? Also another Kissinger foundation baby is Robert Rubin Clints old secertary of T… Wow now he has his own Foundation raking in over 50 Mil per year. Politics are great and so good for you as well. Its too bad the ordnary people cant play with us, but it would not be as fun cause the’re real stupid. besides we wouldn’t have any poor people to send to war then. Yes and then we would just have to drop our high priced bombs on the Poor people on the ground. Its better that we can send as many of our young people to die overseas, that way it looks like we suffer as well. It great to be born rich and become a leader of men, god must love us. 3000 killed in the war since the last one we started. well I guess its safer then on the streets here in the Good old USA where we murdered about 50,000.00 with are drugs that we brought in here to sell to the kids. YES god loves us Political guys, we know how to live, Itold the recruters to tell those young people they are much safer in a tank in Iraq, then in a schoolhouse here in the good ole USA. after all I lost two boys 22-23 years old in th USA and they never even had to join up. IT true and unbelievable I left for Good, people they are up to NO good.

  93. Jose Vasquez Says:

Now, I have a suggestion for another poll:
How many americans do believe President Bush family should be investigated for their business ties to Bin Laden family.?
(hint: this is the key to the 9/11 truth)

  94. Travis Says:

It seems unfortunately that the information from either side contradicts the other and both are just about as surface deep in the origin of info. So how can we blame any one person. If we can’t guarantee that the pole is accurate, bush deceived us, Kissinger was involved etcetera then how do we know Kissinger isn’t using his bad rep directly against bush. It would all make sense that the communists and terrorists didn’t like the direction bush started taking and now they funded influential media groups to aid in strategically taking his plans along with America down. How do we know which voice to listen to? There always seems to be a series of biased and censored steps taken before information ever reaches us as people and the “little people” never see the big picture because there is too much going on behind the curtain. The only way we can know the truth is to see it first hand. We deal with the truth we can be sure of in our life and base our decisions upon it. CNN, Fox, New York Times and others are to be read considered but never taken as total fact I don’t care how reliable the company touts itself to be. Live you life on your level and all other things will come to light. I will be honest, “I hate modern politics it seems like a big act of nothingness trying to appease a growingly more inquisitive people.” it often survives upon its own means

  95. Travis Says:

Sorry I didn’t see that last message before my own. Yes an investigation would be an excellent, mentally sane direction and would have good concrete substance as long as the wrong people don’t get involved.

  96. Travis Says:

If all the bad news is right you would have to worry about an inside investigation with a scripted outcome. Then there are the Illuminati
    Freemasons
Scull and bones and more…. that could get ugly
If there even what the writings paints them to be.

  97. ISLAMIC ARMY IN IRAQ Says:

    To whom it may concern…

It appears that the only presents and gifts Santa Clause will be hearing for you this year are the rotten corpses of your sons and daughters in Iraq..

Gifts that are especially prepared for you America,
the most pathetic nation on God’s earth..

    Celebrating what? New year?
    and exactly happy for what?

Celebrating the slaughter of your sons and daughters in Iraq who died in vain and sacrificed their worthless lives for nothing!!

Or, are you celebrating President Bush’s achievement in making you the world’s laughing stock, while driving your nation to the edge of the cliff, earning you more and more enemies along the way..

Celebrating the birth of Jesus while Jesus has nothing to do with your war-mongering culture, Jesus has nothing to do with a merciless nation that attacks the weak to protect the interests of the wealthy, and the powerful elite..

Jesus has nothing to do with a naive nation that puts its trust in a stupid ape like President Bush and allows themselves to be deceived by his overt and obvious lies!!

The Iraqi people send you their greetings and say: “Thank you for sending your sons and daughters to become target practice to our ever-growing Army of Jihad.”

We promise you, 2006 will be far worse than 2005..

Just wait for the coffins and body-bags coming back home with the filthy remains of your loved-ones inside..

  99. Jawala Says:

    Guten Tag,

feels good to read that there are at least some americans recognizing that they are missled. Well - it’s time after voting Bush for a second time.
I’m from Germany and one could say - wow - there they know whant’s going on…
    BUT:
None of the european political leaders (besides some from small finland) really opposes the american leadership openly - showing that also here it’s not jusitce & truth beeing 1st priority - but economic wealth and “relations”.

Best wishes to all the open minded

  100. Nidza Says:

To add to Jawala’s comment, I believe that the current US administration is holding sensitive “information” that could implicate some European leaders. This would have some overseas leaders worried about voicing certain opinions against Bush and his warmongering cronies. There is definitely some kind of blackmail going on: we saw it when the illegal CIA flights were discovered, the same flights that were authorised by the governments of Romania, Bulgaria, Poland etc…Similarly, P. Musharaf’s quote about the US threat to “bomb Pakistan into the stone age if they don’t help the US in their fight vs. terrorism” sounds very real. Of course the State Dept. denied it, but who could believe these people after nearly 6 years of lies under Bush, in addition to the same people who have repeatedly fooled most of us under Clinton, Bush Sr, and pretty much every single US president except for Mr Carter.

The question is: did Musharaf accept to help the US even if it meant breaking the Law like some European leaders did, because of the fear of the alternative, or is there anything else? Unofficial economical sanctions is a possibility: I have never seen a US administration whose members were present on the board of so many corporations. Oil in Iraq, Gas and opium in Afghanistan, the US geopolitical agenda is looking more and more like a game of Railroad Tyccon with war bases instead of train stations.

For those who are into economics, there are many incestuous relationships between US firms (from public and private sectors) and their government. There is enormous corruption, though it is less easy to spot unless you are familiar with their business system. Trust me, they do not call it “the Land of opportunity” for nothing! On a national level, the legal system is so full of loopholes and the country is so large that the administration cannot keep up with the number of violations taking place. People with 25 unpaid parking tickets? Only in the US. People with a criminal record in 3 states? They are clean again as soon as they move to a fourth. Insurance agents who are called by the car dealer write you a policy within 20 minutes so you can drive off the lot. Or do they?
I have worked with people who stole from clients, using a system they praised while they threatened to fire you if you broke the Law.

I have witnessed a lot of hypocrisy within the US social system and the shame is that there are many decent people in it, who are fooled on a daily basis. Some are too busy to look behind the curtain, others too lazy, and most, unfortunately too ignorant. Is it the scholar system? It sure does not help. Should you be paranoid you might think that “they” want you to stay unaware, from the age of 4 until you die, so do not question why a candidate is only elected president if he finds at least 100 M Dollars to run. Here is a scoop: there are not enough decent campaign contributors to raise that kind of money, thus the dirty suits swoop in and you get a Bush.

Most leaders would speak their mind openly, similarly if not to the extent of the words pronounced by Chavez at the UN assembly, if they did not fear retribution of some sort. Does anyone realise what level of hatred the current US govt. has generated for a head of state to use these words? Chavez is no skinhead off some hooligan estate. Count at least 50 other world leaders who think the same, and the only explanation advanced by Bush and Blair is that the bad guys are attacking because they are jealous of the good guys’ way of life.

I will research more into certain fields and hopefully find something interesting to report.
